Dr.Kersten thoroughly explained everything that was going to happen during each step of my hearing test. After the test he carefully and thoroughly explained what the test showed and possible hearing aids that I could use. I had lots of questions and he would stop his explanation and patiently answer my question in less technological terms until I understand what he was saying. I am getting one hearing aid through the NC Department of Health and Human Services Division for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and one hearing aid I am paying for. Hearing Life is the only place on Haywood County that works with the State to provide the required testing and the necessary hearing aid. Dr. Kersten and Kelly are caring, and compassionate people who go out of their way to really listen to your needs.

Its a wonderful visit! Just to be there and receive service is a good feeling! I never walk out of there wondering if I should be doing something different.

VA Audiology was booked out to 6mo so they sent me to Hearing Life in Waynesville, NC. What a lucky break. I’ve had many hearing tests in the past but none to compare to what I received here. Hearing Life of Waynesville NC is a real life changer for me and my family I went to them on the 3rd of March 2021, I had a free earing test and They also check my old earing aids that I knew was no good anyway, the Doctor of Audiology, Andrew Kersten, then let me demo Oticon More Hearing aids on that day in office only which it is how that is done anyway. Just setting on the office I could tell a big difference I could hear more then I ever could. I enjoy my new hearing aids. If you need your hearing check come and see Hearing Life. I was seen at the scheduled time, which is a big plus for my calendar.As I had been in the office for prior visits under a different audiologist, Dr. Kersten reviewed my records with me to define progress or regress in my hearing. His demeanor was professional, he met all my concerns with empathy, and worked with clear instructions as we proceeded through testing to the choice of the best aids for my needs.My new hearing aids arrived a week after my first visit.
