If you could just find more places like this the young lady at the cash register was knowledgeable friendly and very helpful the gentleman loading the lumber was very helpful very friendly I would say theyre very professional there

Convenient location with competitive prices.. Courteous folks. A real lumber yard. A hardware store were you can find things without asking directions! When youre tired of using GPS to find your way to the paint aisle this is the place to go.

Love this place! May never go to Home Depot or Lowes again. The service is great and 90 percent of the time the prices are better. The selection and grade of lumber is always better than the box stores.

Unlike some other reviewers, I had a great experience at Simms Lumber.Ace Hardware did not have what I needed and an employee suggested I try Simms. They had what I needed and two helpful employees helped me find each of them. Checkout lady was not there when I came up because she was helping someone find a product, but came up in less than a minute.When I had the where is it look on my face, employees came towards me to offer help instead of avoiding me and running away like often happens in the two national chains.This is my new first stop for home repair items.

This was my first visit to Simms and I was very impressed. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist me.

Young kids running the counter with no idea about what theyre selling or where to find anything. Very light selection.

Every time I go in there they are so friendly and helpful the prices are good and I usually have sales its become one of my all-time favorite places

Outrageous prices for lumber, nearly double that of HD (almost $8 for the lowest grade 8 2x4). And they dont post lumber prices... you have to ask someone for each individual price. That even includes their website! If you enjoy waiting around for the slowest service in Weatherford and being price gouged, youll have a blast here.

How can a place of business not have employees at the register to check customers out? ....Was waiting for 10 minutes or more and even called out is anyone here? And still did not see ir hear anyone. Finally got tired of waiting, put merchandise down and walked out. Thats one way to lose money....

2nd time I came in this place. BOTH TIMES noone at checkout. Waited 12 minutes with merchandise in hands and even called out to anyone home. NO ONE came. Threw my purchases down and LEFT. TERRIBLE SERVICE. CLOSE IT DOWN. THIS WAS APPROX 5PM.

Decent selection and prices but, be ready for a long wait to check out. Today was 2nd visit in a row I just put my merchandise back and walked out.

They had parts that no other place in town had and a person was ready to help! I did not have to hunt someone down.

Took over an hour to get the materials loaded, then some of the staff was very rude! Tore up our trailer loading the ties bc they didn’t band them up like asked! Will NEVER come back here!
