Horrible return policyThe clerk sold me Steering wheel lock device claiming it’s a best deal he was deceitfulWhen I came back the very next day stating the product is faulty he accused me of not being truthful and won’t give me my money back me was fake and straight out pier I left the device with him and told him to keep his garbage to himself
They had what I needed to make my car go vroom vroom. They seem a little lax on asking customers to wear their masks correctly, but were otherwise friendly and helpful.
Advance Auto just lost my business. I ordered headlight bulbs on their website. I picked them up yesterday and tried to install them only to realize that they were the wrong bulbs. I went to the store to return them and get the right bulbs. First off, they did not have the ones I wanted in stock which forced me to buy a more expensive bulb. Then I was told that opened parts cannot be accepted for return. Good customer service would have at least warned me about their return policy. Had I known that I would have double checked to make sure I had the right part. What am I going to do with headlight bulbs I cannot use? They dont fit my vehicle! Extremely frustrated. Now that I know what their policy is, I am not going to spend my money there. Bad policy!
Service folks must be grilled at every shift start up to NEVER honor a parts warranty. Service folks arent nasty, but they are as unhelpful as possible until you get frustrated and walk out.

Just to be good...but lately I have a bad experience...Im half blind and have problem with vértigo...I order a Battery on line and they say the installation is free...but the person dont even want to look for the battery he say they dont have it...I insist because on line they say is ready un 30 minutes...but no...I end up installing ing by my self...they dont want to help.

Out looking for a Civic cabin filter today and stopped in to Pep Boys out of convenience and got gouged. Out of curiosity, I stopped into Advance, my usual go to for parts and it was 2/3s the cost. Taking the other part back in AM, putting nearly a $10 bill back in my pocket. Lesson learned; Why go anywhere else, thanks your help Mike.
Employees are fairly knowledgeable and helpful and they had a part I couldnt find at several other part stores. Their diagnostic computer for reading codes could be better- seemed to only spit out vague possibilities where better diagnostic equipment was able to dial in on my issue. That being said, I did get several good suggestions from their staff when the computer couldnt narrow it down. A for effort.

Very curtious and friendly they make sure you have the correct items that youre looking for Im a frequent customer.
The gentleman at the counter was very helpful. He not only told me the proper items to purchase for my car, but showed me where to find the different brands of each item. I appreciated that because I had never been in that store before.

If I could give this business negative stars, I would. Absolutely horrible customer service and staff, Brandon and Malvina are the worst people you could have working for you, provided no help whatsoever and have no knowledge over the products they sell. After not being greeted upon entering or departing, I had to interrupt a conversation between the two employees to be assisted, when I was told by Brandon the part number, and where to find the part. After purchasing the part and installing it in my vehicle I realized that he didnt provide me with the correct information and the part wasnt the one for my vehicle. After returning to the store, they informed me that they could not accept electrical parts back, the return policy was not explained and is not on the receipt. It was my first and most definitely my LAST time at Advanced Auto Parts (#08486). Do yourself a favor and never go to this store. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!!!!!
The girl in there was a lot of help people with nice they put in a little extra steps that make you want to come back

Shawn one of the technical guys there was simply amazing! He took the time to explain me what was possibly wrong with my cylinder misfiring OBD alert, told me what components I would need to fix it and where they went on the engine.Its second to none in customer experience!
Decent variety of auto care products, with usually a few things in each category on sale. Prices are decent compared to online sellers such as Amazon. Sometimes slow checkout process while other customers require help looking up part numbers/installing wiper blades.

Went in explained an issue i was having with a check engine light that stays on, he came out plugged a device into the vehicle next to the fuse box. Removed the device after it displayed a number the employee went back inside the store typed the code into the computer and handed me a print out of the problem and the price of the item needed that cost only $22.00!! Problem fixed Great experience!!
This store has the worst customer service. Every time I go to this store, 443 New Park Ave., the people working there have an attitude or dont want to do their job. I had to return a water pump because the threading for the inlet tube wasnt done correctly from the factory. I brought in the old water pump, with the inlet tube, to show the tube would not thread in properly to the new pump. They first tried selling me a new tube, which wasnt the problem, it still threads into the old pump correctly, not buying anything I dont need. Then, one guy says any other they had would probably be the same, without checking anything. Then, the guy at the register tries saying they dont have any other water pump to sell me, without even checking the computer. One can easily find they have the part, and others, at this store online, because thats what I did before going there, their website works that way, you pick the store and it tells you if they have it in stock or if its at a different location, they had it in stock there. This is the worst store, if you need something save yourself the hassle, go somewhere else.

Only other place I could find an idler pulley for a twenty five year old BMW was the dealer and a week out. Will was able to get it for me next day and a third of the price.
Gd auto parts store
Terrible service, terrible management no one can help me at any store. They sold me a defective alternator at the east hartford store, then I was sent to the west hartford store to pick up a new one. The manager states they dont have one there then proceeds to tell me my closest options are going to Bloomfield or Bristol to pick up a part without checking to see if the Hartford store had one first which luckily they did. The manager needs a map because anyone from this area knows that the south end of Hartford is much closer to their West Hartford location than Bloomfield or Bristol!!When I called to inquire how I would be compensated for having to pay the mechanic twice to put in the defective part, take it out and put another alternator back in the manager in the East Hartford store told me to call corporate and there was nothing she could do. The rating is NEGATIVE 10!

Female manager was very rude and talked to me in a very condescending voice as if I was a child when I tried to explain my situation go to the Berlin turnpike one 15 minutes same issue left happy with my replacement part there staff is a joke and it’s sad that she earned the title “manager”
They gave me the wrong wheel bearing twice and it damaged my rotor never going back manager was rude spent thousands of dollars there in that store and other locations
