This shop is over priced and they do and the quality is subpar. Wouldn’t recommend. Look elsewhere if you want a good job and you like your vehicle
I have been a customer of Botticello Auto Repair for over 12 years and would recommend them to everyone. They are great people who offer great services.
Great place for repairs, work done right
I am new to the area. I brought my vehicle in for service to boticello ahead of a road trip to Pa. I gave them maintenance records of work previously completed by another shop so they knew exactly what had been done to the vehicle prior to their review. They told me I needed some repairs so I had them complete the work. During my road trip a day after boticello worked on it, I began to hear another noise. I took it to a mechanic in Pa. and good news!! The noise was just my front driver side tire falling off because boticello didn’t secure it properly. Bad news is I found out boticello charged me $1400 for the same work that I had completed 8,000 miles ago. Same work on the receipt I handed Boticello prior to their review. Boticello told me they did both sides of the front end but they only did one side. The only reason why I was able to find this out was because they didn’t secure the front driver side wheel properly causing me to bring it to another mechanic. Even if the parts from the prior job failed, and boticello did indeed need to replace them, they were still under warranty and I could have had the work done for significantly less. In addition to the $1400. I had a mysterious radiator leak that I didn’t have prior to taking my vehicle to Boticello. I had them replace that in good faith as well. That was $700. So, for $2100 I got repair work that wasn’t needed and or under warranty, a loose wheel on a family vehicle, and a leaking radiator. The mechanic in Pa. told me the radiator was still leaking because the fittings were not secured properly by boticello. Now I can understand why the woman was so nervous on the phone from boticello when I told her I was taking the vehicle to another shop. she begged me to take it to them first. I very well may have but I was out of state. I would never accuse anyone of intentionally doing something but the repair work not needed, the sudden radiator leak, and the woman’s reaction to me taking the vehicle to another shop do not sit right with me. Do yourself a huge favor and take your business elsewhere. Regardless of intent, the work was shoddy and unacceptable. There are quite a few other things I experienced with these guys I won’t even get into. I questioned the radiator repair prior to them doing it so they brought out their mechanic, a “burly” guy as described by the woman at the front desk to explain to me how the sudden radiator leak and the work they did had no correlation. I am 6’ 5” 240 so that muscle dummy mechanic has no impact on me but I can see how they try to use that as some sort of tactic for lesser individuals. I hope that isn’t the case but judging by my interactions with everyone at Boticello I highly doubt they will doing anything to rectify the situation and I would suspect my intuition is accurate as to their unprofessional business tactics. Prove me wrong boticello and I will delete the review.
I was new to West Hartford and found myself in need of a mechanic. I ask a coworker if he could refer me to a good local repair shop and Botticello Auto Repair was the shop to go to.I had a great experience from my phone call to the repair. Good honest people. I will continue to us them for all my car repairs.
This is the only mechanic I trust to work on my diesel. The prices may be on the higher end but they stand by their work, are more than fair, and know what they are doing. Every problem I have had they have resolved in the first visit. And they are polite, which is big for me.
Very nice people to deal with. Fair in price and quick with the repairs. They even drove my wife home after she dropped the car off to be worked on. We will definitely use them for now on
Went in for the first time after issues with my 97 Dodge Ram 2500 with the cummins motor. Suspected the timing was off and they confirmed it. Truck was puffing blue smoke, running rough and just a miserable vehicle. They gave me a very reasonable quote and I brought the truck back. Natalie was kind enough to even send me pictures of my truck during this process! Got it back and the truck runs awesome, has its power back and zero smoke. Had an issue while the truck was there and was concerned it would be vandalized by a new gf of someone I turned down (we all know how that goes). The team was so kind and even offered me to keep it there for extended time for free. They also recommended cameras for me to watch the truck: I can’t say enough great things about everyone here. I’m extremely happy and will be back. I’m very picky with who touches my truck and they have my full trust! If you want amazing mechanics and friendly service bring your vehicle down. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
What a great experience at Botticello Auto Repair. From my phone call into them to make an appointment right to the very end when I picked up my car after the repairs. Thank you for being an honest repair shop. I will definitely pass the good word around. Fran
An honest group of experienced professionals willing to do what it takes to go the extra mile, with a smile. They will take the time to explain exactly what theyre going to do for you and your car, and give you a break down of the cost before the work is started.I brought my 335xi in for a high-mileage full service. They helped me save money in areas that could wait, and expertly advised me in others which needed some attention. Their labor rates are beyond fair compared to other shops Ive been to as well. The whole experience is exactly what I would want from an auto repair facility. Ill definitely be going back!
Great people. Very personable with fair prices. Were able to fix my car fast as well as do preventative maintenance.
Choosing Boticello as my go-to shop was a great decision! Theyre fair, trustworthy, honest, and knowledgeable. I sometimes use a chain for quick things and their price for a recent simple job was more than double Boticellos price. My car is 10 years old and I trust them completely to keep it running and to let me know if its time to move on.
Nice place to do business with. Nice people and fair pricing. I had a great experience with them. I recommend Botticello Auto Repair for your next auto repairs.
Family run auto repair that treats you like the head of household.
Never went there but they were very nice and helpful.
I brought my car to Boticellos at the recommendation of a client. At first Natalie and the crew were accommodating and friendly and willing to assist me with my car troubles. After learning I needed a new engine they were very eager to acquire a replacement engine that was suitable for me, knowing that I needed a reliable car for my family. They kept me informed throughout the process, until the engine was received, and thats when everything went south. I was on the phone tracking them down trying to find out when my car would be ready. After every call there was a new issue with a new expense which exceeded the original quote. After 3 weeks of waiting for my car, It finally was ready. After picking it up a whole host of problems started to occur. Lights were going on that werent existent prior to their work being done. My ac no longer worked (which going into summer with a newborn and a 1 year old is not something you would want.) When expressing these new problems with the staff at Botticello they implied that these problems existed prior to their work being done. After spending 5k to get a new engine put in, they wouldnt even trouble shoot the problem for me. Everything had a price tag. You would think they would be willing to just double check to see that everything was hooked up and plugged in properly before suggesting that the issues werent related to the work that they did. Instead, they got their money, they did what they thought was an adequate job, and the rest was my problem. That is NOT how you treat a customer. I will never, ever go back, nor recommend Boticello auto repair.
The owner is not a man of his word would not reccomend anybody to work for them or get there car fix there
Great family owned company, I trust them with my fleet of vehicles.
I brought my company truck over to Botticello Auto Repair for a loud rattling sound in the front of my engine. I was told by six different mechanics it was most likely the a/c compressor or lifters. Natalie had her guys look at it, and discovered it was simply a belt tensioner come loose. A quick, easy repair later, I was charged only for the belt tensioner repair, and they got my company truck back on the road quickly. Any other garage would have changed that a/c compressor on top of the belt tensioner, just to charge me a higher bill and make more money off the repair. Not Botticello Auto Repair. They kept it honest, even though the repair wasnt going to make them a lot of money.I will be a returning customer, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs service done to their vehicle, especially small businesses like mine.
