I wouldn’t recommend this shop for anything but a quick service/maintenance. I brought my 2003 760li to them with an intermittent limp mode issue that they could not resolve. The first time I dropped it off, they claimed the issue was a faulty alternator and/or thermostat. The repair was completed in about a week and 2 days after picking up the car, I had the same issues. I brought the car back a second time for more diagnosing. Some work was performed but nothing fixed the problem. At this point, my car had been there for 4 months and 2 weeks. During that time, I received minimal updates on the status of my car. They’d tell me they’d call me with an update by Monday and I’d end up calling on Friday asking where that update was. Everything seemed to just drag on after I had already paid for the first failed attempt to fix the problem. I finally decided to take the car elsewhere and arrived to see my car looking disgusting from sitting outside the whole time. The newish battery was completely dead so the car had to be jump started. And a plastic cover sitting on my backseat had left dimples in the leather. The backseat seems like a poor place to store parts when my trunk was completely empty. I always kept the car in my garage with a battery tender connected but now I have a dead battery and a rough looking paint job that needs to be corrected and polished yet again. Now I’m off to find somewhere capable of actually fixing the car.The photos attached are after a normal hand wash. The car must’ve sat outside the whole time it was there because it was spotless when I dropped it off.

Foreign Affairs Auto has been my shop to always go for my Range Rover needs. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional. They follow manufacturers strict repair services to the letter. Very resourceful and honest. All these accolades are impossible to find nowadays in auto shops across the nation. Always get treated with respect and consideration.

I was looking at a car close to them and being 1400 miles away, I couldn’t evaluate it myself. Chris, Caitlin and the whole Foreign Affairs team was great! They worked with me and the dealership to get the car to their facility. They provided excellent detailed information and assessments, pictures and even personal opinions of the car. Their services aren’t cheap but I got FAR more information and confidence from their assessment than the mobile inspection guys could provide. For the peace of mind going into an expensive sports car across country, the value was certainly worth it. While their assessment simply showed the car was in excellent condition mechanically and aesthetically, they could have saved me THOUSANDS if it had not and I took the risk without their assessment.Thanks again!

Pre-purchase inspection of Audi TTRS, sight unseen. They were very easy to deal with: scheduling, coordinating with the seller, intake, very thorough inspection including my emphasis items, and reporting. I paid full-boat and got what I paid for....maybe more. On the same day I had another 2012 TTRS inspected in Anchorage. Paid half as much and got half as much too. I was especially impressed with the photographic evidence of ...everything. The tech knew what he was about and it showed. They did not give me a heads up about the cracked plastic ring on the lube oil dipstick. Its a common heat/age problem for this car. Cost $42 at my dealer. Considering the value I DID get from Foreign Affairs that would be a reasonable tip.

Took my Audi TTRS in for a go over and oil change as I bought it out of state a little blind. I didn’t trust dealer as they basically will recommend things that are not needed aside from bad price gauging. So happy to find FA auto. The assessment was stellar (aka they were Honest). And they completed the oil change that day. Front desk is awesome, above and beyond. As a small business owner I appreciate and would rather do business with other small businesses because they do actually care about and want your repeat business, and that shows with Foreign affairs. So happy to find such a good German car dealer alternative for services. I am always skeptical of reviews, but foreign affairs lived up to the pileof good ones and I am adding another.

I was throuroughly impressed by the customer service and quality of work I experienced at Foreign Affairs Auto. Chris was an excellent advisor, he took the time to carefully explain the process and also ensure timely updates throughout. I had a stealth hitch installed on my X3M and in addition to their professionalism the re-installation of my interior and body panels was great! Their prices are fair and I went with them for oil service versus going to the dealer. Overall I can vouch that if you take your car to them you will not be disappointed!

I had Foreign Affairs do a pre-purchase inspection for me for a pre-owned 996 Porsche Turbo Cab I was considering buying from a local dealer. Since I am not local, this PPI was very important to ensure the quality of the vehicle was what it appeared to be. Bobby talked to me extensively before the inspection to ensure he knew what was important to me and called me with an incredibly detailed report. Unfortunately, the car had a long list of things wrong with it and Bobby and the Foreign Affairs saved me from buying a car that was not what it appeared to be. While I was bummed out I had to pay to find out I didn’t want the car, the value of having a trusted and knowledgeable mechanic reviewing the car in extreme detail saved me from making a huge mistake. I’m sad to be writing this review because I’ve had great service in the past. I used their online appointment app to book. Week out. Mid week I had to contact them because no one received the request even though it was through their website. They said they could squeeze me in Friday first thing 8am. I live in Miami and wanted later hence me booking in advance but regardless I took it. My car was there until 4 o’clock when we had to call to find the status. Mind you my car has a code reader and indicates warning signs which it’s had for two weeks. When we called we were told the car has been done but they said to come in 30 so they could clean it. Showed up. Car was dirty. They said they couldn’t find anything wrong. They wasted an entire day of my time when we each work 60+ hours at a very demanding job. We asked to be quoted for minor damage on the car which also wasn’t provided via email like they said. It’s really a shame.

The staff is always polite and very knowledgeable about the issues your car is presenting. Yoranis and Chris were and are the best service manager and advisers you can ask for. They kept me in the loop every step of the way. Also every question I had they answered even if I asked multiple times to make sure. I recommend Foreign Affairs to anyone who want to have their car repaired or serviced and feel secure that the job has been done with excellence.

Volvo S60. Car wouldn’t start. Unable to jump. Had it towed to Schumacher Volvo. After a 2 hr diagnostics(cost $210per hr), I was advised it appeared to be a cracked cylinder. Estimate to fix $7500 AND they could not guarantee it would be totally fixed. Perhaps it was pistons or some other issue.I then sought out a second opinion at Foreign Affairs. The vehicle was towed over-NOT put back together. After much to do about who would put the car back together to properly diagnose the issue, Foreign Affairs took the initiative. Car started right up. They checked everything seeing as Schumacher had indicated MAJOR issues.Result was a new left front tie rod, spark plugs & a 4 wheel alignment.Now mind you Schumacher verbally told me about $7500 but on their repair order their written estimate was $9099.92. My bill from Foreign Affairs was $1007.21.It’s so difficult to find an establishment you can trust. I have SUCH respect & admiration for this business. They went above & beyond assisting me. Kept me informed at each stage of review.I am most grateful.Thank you Chris, thank you Jonathan and thank you George.I highly recommend!!!

Then get in touch with the better business bureau when they offer to purchase your car for less than what you paid them to fix it. That’s the service you’ll be offered here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I took my Audi A6 in on June 22, 2020 due to these issues: car is spuddering, underpowered/ verified misfiring and rough running. I finally got my car back on September 30, 2020. After months of waiting on fingers crossed and were waiting on parts guess what my car is still doing? They fixed absolutely nothing and on top of that the air conditioning no longer works. The back of the passenger seat console literally melted off, I presume from the blistering heat of Florida. I believe this is foreshadowing since I would have been better off dropping my car off at Hades. Chris was amazing in assisting me with all my needs by never calling unless I did first and never having a single direct response or solution. After 101 blissful days of not having a car to take me to work (during a global pandemic), Chris was kind enough to offer me $500 to buy the car off me after I paid $1789.09 to receive it in worse condition than when I brought it in. Oh and when I called them back about the air conditioning issue, I was told that would be $200 just for an INSPECTION. All in all, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy because I try to have some form of humanity and it would be inhumane.

Chris took care of me! Took my 2015 Range Rover Evoque in due to a failing turbocharger. It was the first thing to truly “go wrong” or needed fixing with my car so i was super keen on finding a great shop to do the work without breaking the bank. They did an assessment to make sure i actually needed the part and didn’t just ring me up with a bunch of miscellaneous stuff that i didn’t need. Theyreplaced the part within a week and my car is working like it’s brand new! They called everyday with an update to let me know what was going on as well. The price we were quoted with included an assessment and was priced fair. Trust me i did extensive research and nearly every auto body shop quoted me an absurd price if not HIGHER than the dealership. Would recommend if your looking for a auto body shop for a foreign car and don’t want to pay dealership prices!

Cliff Notes:Damaged Seat LeatherUsed my car as a Boom Box while being repairedRipped AC Connector off mount at CompressorPoor Diag/Quality and Care of Work PerformedI brought my Mercedes Benz in for an Air Conditioning fault and the ac was not blowing cold. I also wanted some other items like the clock on the dash, and the trunk opening sequence to be programmed with their scanner to work properly as well as a replacement radio and again, diagnose my air conditioning issue. The compressor pulley had sheared off while driving, so i replaced the AC compressor but the air did not work afterword.1 Hour of Diag to figure out the AC issue, and 1 Hour for the programming of the other options. Seemed very fair. I get a call that the new radio i had will not program to the car to make the cluster functions work and same with the ac control head, they ask for me to bring in the original parts so i do. With the original parts installed the shop said all my functions were restored. The AC fault looked like a communication issue from the SAM module to the compressor etc and i was told that even though the radio swap didnt work out, for the additional time needed to fix my ac it would be $340 but stated the Good news is i will have AC..So i said ok, go ahead and do it, will be nice to have the AC fixed. Well a day or 2 later the ac is still not working, i was told they would need to remove the Supercharger from the engine and my ABC pump to further diag. I declined as at this point it seemed like we were going fishing to find the problem. The Air Worked perfectly before the compressor failed, so how could a wire under there go bad??When i went to pick up the car, the tech showed me the wire he disconnected under the hood so that it would not short out or potentially cause more harm which was great. I pay $650+ for the diag and time spent on the car and return later to pick it up after work.When i get back to the car i find the second radio was left on my seat on an angle and it left a dimple and small scratch in the leather on the left bolster and the center perforated section. At this point i am obviously furious. Not only was the issue not resolved, but they left my old parts on the seat. (Their shop was closed at this point so could not resolve then and there) I turn the radio on and every station programmed was a Latin/Spanish station, and my Bass was turned all the way up to +7.. which further indicated that the tech is using my car as a Boom Box while he worked on it.Foreign affairs made good on the seat and had their detail department heat/steam it and got 95% of it out.Fast forward its been about 2 weeks or so since i picked it up, i finally had the time to get the car in the air at a friends quick service shop, and to my surprise the AC compressor connector is disconnected and pulled clean off the compressor.These compressors have a small track/tab that the connector sits in so it is not just dangling, the tech at Foreign affairs clearly just pryed/yanked it off the mount, and broke 1 ear off the connector where it locks in and left it dangling there, and obviously could not plug it back in as it is a tight spot so he just gave up. So the tech at my friends place and i were able to get the pig tail plugged back in and set back on its perch.Still not happy at all, for a specialty shop this was far from Specialty service/finish work. Poor quality of work. If you want rotors and pads slapped on your car go for it, being in the industry and getting the work done that i paid for/received first hand i do not see how you have so many Positive reviews.

Foreign Affairs Auto is right in my business neighborhood, and I have driven past it hundreds of times over the years without stopping in. I needed some service on my BMW, and decided to give them a try. I am so happy I did. The shop is clean and relaxed and professional. The Assistant Service Manager, Yoranis Garcia, made me feel at home right away, and updated me with good cheer throughout the process. They got my car running well again, and I could not be happier with my experience. So comforting to know I have an excellent repair shop right in my neighborhood.

Well ... some people may have read my previous review on this shop, it was meant to be objective but unforgiving ... therefore quite negative.This is an edit of that first review - I had to change it because the famous Jonathan of this shop took the time to get back to me with explanations and proofs; I really appreciated that! That makes my review another one of those pure qualitative ones isnt it?! - We went there for an oil change only, so not much technical work was done on our X3. There should be only 1/2 of the star missing and that is for aspects I will only communicate to Jonathan - no big deal, just marketing related stuff.Other than that, this shop is clean, workers are friendly and courteous and you have a great chance of getting your European auto work done well here.

Are very prompt, provide clear, detailed explanations regarding service provided. Are on time, stay in touch and are accommodating. Place is clean and well organized. Staff is professional and courteous.

These people are top notch. I’ve been coming here for years ever since the MB dealer tried to sell me a $3000 AC compressor that I didn’t need. Frank found that it just needed a $79 recycle switch. They have more knowledge and experience than even the Mercedes dealer does.

You know for years I was always real nervous about going to mechanic shops especially for expensive cars. Can’t really trust places or people anymore. But I came here to Foreign Affairs to have my Audi serviced and everybody took care of me. The people are just amazing, Prices were GREAT, service was GREAT, the work done on the car Great!! I made an appointment for an oil change at Foreign Affairs Auto, my first time as this facility. I was offered three different time slots that were available, selected the earliest one, and received an e-mail confirmation for the appointment. When I arrived at the garage, I was told that there was no availability for the day, and I would have to reschedule for the following week. I presented the e-mail confirmation that was issued, confirming my appointment, to no avail. Clearly I had an appointment for the day and would have appreciated at least a phone call before wasting a 1-hour round trip. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to this garage for auto maintenance if this is how they value/treat their customers.

Quick and efficient service. I am very impressed by multi point service inspection with photos (!) and how all issues are divided into urgent and non-urgent problems. Extremely friendly personnel, staff are well mannered and approachable visibly focusing on making it a great experience for you and providing great customer service. Reasonable pricing and they don’t seem to be offering unnecessary services.

Incredible service! Based on positive reviews I read online, I brought my BMW in for a repair for the first time. The service I received was expoentially better than any BMW service department Ive done business with in the state of Florida. Every step of the process was exceptional! Courtesy rides arriving within 2-5 minutes and a complimentary car wash served as bookends to all the good that happened in between. Thank you Yoranis, you were a pleasure to work with!

Great customer service and overall feel. The waiting areas are comfortable and the Jonathan was quick to offer an espresso, cappuccino and water.This is Is the closest to getting the amenities offered by a dealer that you’ll find. They also washed and vacuumed my car after just an oil change, which didn’t even happen last time at the dealer.I’ll definitely be taking my BMW back.

Since I was buying a used Porsche from 1200 miles away, I needed to arrange a pre-purchase inspection. After reviewing the offerings of other inspection options (too general, needed Porsche expertise), I found Foreign Affairs Auto. Their specialization in German cars was what I was looking for. Brandon was my contact and he had the inspection arranged and completed within a day and a half of my initial contact.The report they delivered was comprehensive -- from start the car and listen to road test to time in and under the car. It included multiple photos and was broken down into three sections: good to go, keep an eye on it, attend to it now or very soon. Overall, very confidence inspiring, money well spent. I flew to Florida a couple days later and drove the car to NJ on a new set of tires (recommended in report) and enjoyed the trip.

I recently purchased a Range Rover in Boca Raton - with these wild times a test drive wasn’t really an option. Not because of Corona - but because I live in LA! I was hesitant to purchase a luxury car sight unseen - so Chris became my eyes. His inspection of the Rover was phenomenal. His attention to every detail was exceptional. He took his time with the car - went over EVERY INCH of it. His detailed report and thorough follow-up with me was the deal closer. Had Chris come back with even the slightest consideration on any detail of the Rover, I would have passed. In fact, I told him the sole reason for closing the sale was because of his attentiveness and incredible work. The reports he sends at the end are like surgical manuals. We are thrilled with our service on our 2013 Porsche. They charged 1/3 of what the dealer wanted for a 20k routine maintenance and oil change. Their shop was very organized and clean. If you need a car inspected for a purchase these guys do a very thorough job. I have purchased two Porsches that they have inspected. The first I owned for over a year with no issues. They can do Rev tests as well, and will give you suggested maintenance. I would continue to use them again and again and feel they provide a very good 3rd party opinion. They also do great work on your specialty foreign auto.

Great service. Friendly technicians that dont try and make up sales. They dont pressure you into fixing anything that isnt broke. On time and quick service. I will defiantly use them again.

Brandon took my call to discuss various issues and gave me confidence that they could fix a 2000 Jaguar. I have learned the hard way that not everyone can fix Jags. I have been here a couple times for work on my Mercedes. Every single time I walk in the door, I am greeted in a very professional manner by Jonathan and the whole staff. Not only is he professional, but he is informative about what is need to be done.They are also very efficient with their job, and give a car wash by hand after they are finished with it. I will definitely be returning for future work on the car. (They also offer complimentary Uber for anywhere you may need to be)
