I went in because I had a nail in my tire and went in for them to plug it but they did a patch instead (which is way better) and gave me a great deal. I ended up talking to hector about getting new tires and he gave me the best quote on a set of new ones. I’ve always heard great things about this place but never actually went in until now. My girlfriend got new tires from here a couple months ago and now I’ll be getting mine from here soon as well as doing all my car maintenance needs. If you need trust worthy, skilled mechanics, check them out, you won’t regret it.

The best group of people I ever came across. The whole establishment makes you feel like home. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I was stranded in an area I wasn’t from with my kids. I called about a tire and they picked me up and gave me nothing but hospitality to me and my kids. I had a roadside breakdown, of course the spare was already on the vehicle but I knew St. Lucie Battery and Tire was a short distance away. With Divine intervention I got a ride to the store. There I was met by the counter salesman, he found me the proper tire and got it squared away for me. My happiness really didn’t begin until my service technician loaded me and the tire up and drove me back to my vehicle AND he installed the tire. Wow! We had the nicest surprise from you after a most frustrating day. Thank you. Renewed our faith in human kindness. After two days in palm beach, we were heading back to our Sarasota home. Already upset by delays including a hotel payment hassle, we weren’t 6 miles out of town when we picked up a nail in a tire. I won’t go into the exasperation of figuring out putting on a temporary spare only to find low tire pressure. Fortunately we found you still open as we headed back to town. Great customer service. Called to have a battery pulled and ready at the counter for my ETA of 5 minutes before close. I was so disappointed to see the shutters down when I arrived at 5 (5 minutes late and at closing time, totally my fault lol). I tried calling and it went straight to the answering machine. 15 minutes later I got a call from Hector asking was I coming. He stayed behind and waited for me! Great customer service and great prices! Will be returning and referring!!!

The blue heron and military store,has allways surpassed what Ive expected from a tire service facility.i was extremely happy with the price,service,and speed with which my business was conducted. I will say,they are very good at what they do.i did see several customers come in for things like batterie changes, and they had no real mechanic to supply for that.Business is walking in,and back out for lack of good technicians on site.if that was my site,id rectify that situation.im not sure if they want to,actually,they do a ripping business just on tires!!.thank you again for my service.

I hit a curb and put a hole in my tire. It had to be towed to this shop to assist with getting the lugs off as one couldn’t be removed on the side of the road.These people could not have been more helpful with helping change my tire to my spare.Very polite and courteous- made sure I was taken care of as quickly as possible. If I lived closer, I would use them for my car repairs.

I stopped in this morning 2/22/2012 to get tires for my truck.There was two guys behind the counter and two customers in the waiting area. After entering i said good morning and only got a reply from one of the customers. I then made my way to the register and the two employees went to the back. I thought that they would acknowledge me when they come back. They both came back then one left then the other left then one came back and left all without a single word to me. Then I walk out and got in my truck to go somewhere with customer service.

They did not have the ones I wanted in stock but they were able to get them on the same day and their price was as good as other places I checked. After dealing with a flat for nearly three hours, I went to Tires Plus on Northlake and Military because it was closer to my location since I was driving on a donut. Upon arriving at 7am on the dot, I was told it would be nearly two hours to check out my tire and Tires Plus rep LITERALLY REFERRED me to St. Lucie Battery and Tire - his exact words were, ma’am there’s no way we can even squeeze you in. There are about ten cars in front of you so I suggest going to a competitor.This was honestly the best thing that could have happened to me. I immediately got in my car and drove straight to St. Lucie Battery and Tire. Billy’s team greeted me immediately by telling me where to park and I went in and told Billy my issues and how I was such an inconvenience to Tires Plus.Billy literally is a lifesaver and has 100% gained a customer for life. I was in and out within 15minutes and trusted him and his team wholeheartedly.Don’t waste your money on Tires Plus. Once again the group at St. Lucie batt & tire got me in and out in less than an hour . Changed out 2 tires on my boat trailer. As soon as I checked in at the desk Billy had me back the trailer in front of a bay and both old tires removed and new ones mounted, balanced and installed in about 45 to 50 min!!! Even used a torque wrench on the nuts when installing. A1 service!!! This is why I drive past the big nation tire stores to deal with these guys!! I’m a customer for life!!

After spending 2 n 1/2 hours last week on my day off in a company trying to do my car alligment, i try to give them another chance this week so i go early right as they open n they told me they dont have any technician on the shop. I am like really oh well. So i start checking on the web n came across st. Lucie tire n battery so i call and spoke with Hector n he said please come in we do have few car but will get to you as soon as I can i like ok. Honestly the best thing i did Hector did my ticket and he did take care of me. Speaking with him i can see how Honest he is. Finding a honest place to bring a car for service is hard. I really enjoy smaller automotive repair places such as these. The manager, staff and patrons created a friendly atmosphere. I came in to get my tire repaired and they gave me a quote. It was done exactly as they explained and at a very decent price. They dont plug your tire, they patch it from the inside which is better in my opinion. The turn around time was on point. Apologies for the length of this review, but I want to be thorough. Also, for those that need the ‘Readers Digest version’ SL Battery and Tire WPB was FANTASTIC!Review: I’ve had travel trailers all my life (at least 6 thru the years) and am pretty knowledgeable about them and the tires they need, however, after retirement my wife wanted a motor home, something I had never dealt with before. Ours is on a 2006 Ford F53 frame and takes 19.5” truck tires...very different from trailer tires. I went to SL Battery and Tire to replace the original, dry rotted/aged Goodyear G670 tires. Toyo’s were recommended since this frame is the same as a flatbed tow truck. Toyo’s from my research are very good tires but are also a bit on the stiff side. Once installed, I drove home about 10 miles away on surface roads, noticed a bit of a shimmy, but thought it was caused by the road surface. Over time, I got the coach onto the highway and realized it was not the road. The tires seemed out of balance. I went back to SLBT and they rebalanced them. Still not right, I brought it to their truck service center in Ft Pierce. They took off one front wheel and found a slightly bent steel wheel. They recommended changing out the steel to aluminum alloy. I did that and had the WPB store install them. This is when their tire professionals Willie and Charles noticed that one of the new tires (less than 800 miles on them) had a lateral wobble. As he went through the rest of the tires, he seemed to realize that the particular batch of tires I had were manufactured incorrectly...I just got a bad batch. At least 3 of the 6 tires were bad from the factory.The Manager, Hector was super fair and worked with me on upgrading to Michelin Tires (a much softer riding tire). The Michelin’s were double checked for ‘roundness and lateral wobble’ and they balanced perfectly. A very long story to say that I now have the smoothest ride I’ve had with this coach. We’re leaving for Texas and other places soon and will be testing it over the long haul. I’m very impressed with the professional service I received... I was that guy that they didn’t want to see come back again! Hector, Billy, Charles and Willie treated me so well, understood my issues and educated me on many things regarding larger truck tires. I am so very grateful to not have to have my wife complain about the ride for a few thousand miles! Thank You to all at SLBT.

Good service but too expensive $32 to fix a tire lot of money

Found a screw in my tire, called the shop and showed up within 5 minutes of calling. The guys pulled the car in almost right away and repaired the tire. They are very professional, treat you with respect, get the job done right and got me back on the road in no time.

I was having Motorhome Tire pressure problems, they found the problem and had to buy a new extension else where but put pressure in my tire and was on my way. I will definitely use them again.
