I usually don’t right bad reviews because I’m very understanding, but Alyssa and kieth are the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. I’m from Rhode Island but I moved to Florida. I came here to visit my family and my transmission messed up. So I contacted my insurance to see where I can go. They gave me a list an I called pepboys. They were very nice at first and told them I had no problem waiting because I am very understanding and I know things happen. Three weeks pass by, nothing. Mind you I call every other day to see if they talked to my insuranceto get the process started but it took them for me to call my insurance and figure out what was the issue but they said they were waiting for pepboys to call and I called them to relay the messages and I would always speak to Alyssa but she was really no help which was understandable she probably just works the front desk but no one would call with any updates. I would literally have to call over and over and just get excuse after excuse witch was really so unprofessional and aggravating. I would never in my entire life recommend anyone to go there, I never met people so unprofessional with no consideration for someone who literally lives so far away. I had to call corporate so they can help me get my car but they was no help at all; basically the same things the store was saying. Mind you Keith tried to charge me to put my motor mounts in which is supposed to be free since they were changing my transmission. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOONE USES THEM. Terrible people with terrible service. Only give excuses after excuses. I WOULD RATE IT ZERO STARS. After all this time I’m just going to pick my car up and take my business else where. Their excuse is the transmission guy has been out with COVID but you had my car for 6-7 weeks I think and my transmission for two.
Had an apt but it still took over an hr to pull my car in the bay. Despite the wait, they provided excellent service as always!! It was nearly impossible to get my car in, so I was grateful either way...this was the third PB I tried among countless others. Made speedy work of balancing and rotating my tires. I had forgot that I purchased lifetime balancing in the past, but they pulled it right up. Turns out I paid nothing for the entire service. Highly recommended!!

I had originally paid for alignment service at the Providence Pep Boys on North Main Street. and they could not get the car aligned properly, steering wheel centered, if their life depended on it. I went 3 times and had 2 different techs do the service to no avail.I eventually made an appointment with the West Warwick store despite them being farther from me. II went the following day and I explained the problem I was having from the Providence store to the service manager and she explained the issue to the technician( who did a great job, by the way.) my car was ready in about an hour and the car is driving, and the steering wheel straighter tham arrow down the road. Ill definitely consider this store for my next alignment.PS.They should send the West Warwick Technician to train the Providence Techs on how to properly do an alignment.Thank you for the great service!!!☝️
Didnt get service with them because of how slammed they always seem to be which Im not sure why because the customer service wasnt that great and I tried 3 different times to get an appointment with them. 2 of the 3 times they quoted me between 1.5 to 2 hours wait for an oil change. The other time the guy didnt even rebook my appt like I was told. Called Nissan down the street and booked with them instead. They offer a complimentary wash, vacuum and tire rotation with the oil change price and my quoted wait time is still less with the extra services.
I wasn’t going to do a review because I was really disgusted at the poor communication skills Some of employees have and just to make the story short Without getting into details. when I went to grab the key because I didn’t longer wanted their services a Very nice young lady Name Alyssa Listen to my concerns and complaints, she apologize for the nightmare I went through and did everything she could ever have done to turn it around and made it a good experience after all. she told me everything that was wrong with my car How much was going cost to do the repairs and she gave me a timeframe. She also went above and beyond by calling me after I decided to give them a second chance to keep me informed on what was going on because one of the parts was delayed.she showed respect for the client and consideration. Pep Boys you need more people like her you wouldn’t have my business if it wasn’t for her tenacity and professionalism. Alyssa I will give you 10 starts if they were available….. thank you again.
I went there about a month ago and they just said that some general repairs needed to be done. Flash forward a month later, I call to check up on my car and they give me an attitude about it, asking me why I’m being so pushy about it. Now I’m a teacher and a student so I need my car for obvious reasons and them taking so long with it cost me $300 in Lyft fees. There highly unprofessional, I do not recommend.

I had a great experience with the guys up at the service counter, especially Hector! I got a great deal, and great advice on the proper tires and suspension for my truck. They also fixed a big issue I had with my tire balancing which I was unaware of, due to a shoddy job I got elsewhere in the Warwick area! These guys are the best! Worst service!! I get here and they tell me they can do half of what I want. I called days ahead and said what I wanted. Only to get here and be given a hard time. They wouldn’t even let me pick what I want and clearly shows online that it’s available. Thanks for wasting my time. I recommend going down the road to Midas. Super friendly and they work with you on prices. They also do what you want done. No thank you. Midas did all the work I needed and treated me right the first time. Highly recommend Midas!!!!
The last few times Ive been here Hector has been the guy I go to! He is amazing and does whatever he can to help you out! I highly recommend working with him! A GREAT hire on Pep Boys part! One of the most helpful guys Ive met here and Ive been coming here for about 4+ years.

I whole heartedly implore anyone who reads my review to avoid this Pepboys like the plague. I went in for an oil change and what I did not realize was that they had left the cap off of my engine oil. I did not realize THEIR mistake until it was too late, and Subaru had informed me it was likely engine damage. I have called SEVERAL times, filed a claim and complaint, and thus far have gotten no inspector on their end to look at my car so that Subaru may work on it. Pepboys is entirely unreliable and unprofessional.
I’ve been dealing with Hector and his team for a while now. Very polite, honest and proper. Customer service is top notch, I wouldn’t go anywhere else anymore after dealing with Hector and his team. Hector and his team gave me good service for oil change at a great price. He honestly assessed that my car could take either synthetic or regular oil, and he did not pressure me to use synthetic. I have no hesitation about using this Pep Boys location again in the future.
Keith oversold my company tires (corporate account). When I was only there for oil change, battery, and brake work. Causing me to be stranded and lose 2 days of pay. Don’t bring your vehicle here go somewhere else. They will oversell you something you don’t need at the moment.
Hector and front management at tire service center were amazing today !I’m not from the area, nor do I know what shops are around, went to 3 other close by tire shops (town fair tire = horrible customer service ) in a panic to try to get the tire fixed, only to be told I could not be helped and ignored . I luckily found pep boys and was told it would likely be an hour wait .. staff were able to get me in and out less than 40minutes total !! I am so thankful !! 🙂

Horrible service. Took my car in knowing what was wrong with it from a past visit to a garage. Pep boys just made it easy to make a quick apt. When I came in for my first apt. Which I asked for a call before that I never got. I was told they wouldnt have time to fix it today. So I made another apt. With the employee to come in another day to have the problem fixed. My car has been there all day since 8am and it is now 430pm. I had to call to see what was going and they said they would get to me car in the next half an hour but still would not be able to fix it today saying there was not enough time again. Picking up my car up and never coming back again such bad service.

Bought 4 new tires..Dash cam video of them peeling out in my car. After realizing it was caught on dashcam they removed my dashcam unplugged it and left it on my seat. One if the 4 tires was put on with over 4oz of weights and still shook while driving, paid 99 dollars for a 4 wheel alignment and it still pulls to the left. Gave me 50$ back for the poorly balanced tire and determined the tire was defective. Put a new tire on and it still shakes over 65mph and pulls to the left. If I go back to get it fixed now it will be my 4th trip for 4 new tires and an alignment. The mechanics are lost, or just think they can take advantage of people and be lazy. Do not recommend.
I went in with a flat tire expecting waiting forever with a bill taking up most of my paycheck. But to my surprise I was greeted with a friendly employee that got me in and out without breaking the bank. I will definitely come back and recommend this location.

Spent 4 hours in the waiting room to get my air conditioner fixed. There was about 3 other people in the waiting room who has all been there at least 2 hours before me and only left an hour before me. They didnt even fix my air conditioner all they did was run a test to tell me it was broke which i new prior thats why I went there. They said they needed a part to fix it and would call me the next day or the day after its been a week. Last time i went there to get new tires it took 3 hours. Do what you want with this information but please do not go here you will waste your time and money.

If you place an order online to pick up here, they will not have it ready for you and have no idea what youre talking about. Ends up taking more time and being more annoying than just going in and grabbing the things yourself. They didnt even know what the price was supposed to be and asked ME what the price was. Do the employees here even know that Pep Boys has a website?

Took quite a while to have an assessment done then they came back to me with an unrealistic price and seven hundred and something dollars for to tie rod ends when I told the guy I would do it myself in my backyard all the sudden the price was cut in half dont quite understand their business tactics. After that I still have to take it somewhere else to have the alignment done

Worst place to go when theyre bored for new tires with an alignment how to go back three times the alignment was off and my tire pressure light will kept being on didnt know how to reset it never ever will I ever go back what to give zero stars but theres no option for 0 Stars

Took my car here for a simple tire plug. After dropping the car off, the employee called to say they could not plug the tire and reccomended 4 new tires, as mine were longer good. I took the car for a second opinion at a reputable tire store, good thing I did. They were able to plug the tire no problem, and stated my tires were safe and in fact could be used for another 6 months. They also charged my $22 less than Pep Boys would have charged if they were able to plug the tire. Avoid this rip off at all costs.
Honestly I wont even go here bc of one of the crewmembers. He is totally rude, and talks to just about everyone as if he is better than them. Oh and if you dont know something he will go out of his way to make you feel stupid.

The service station is terrible. Hector at the service station had me buy the lightbulb and told me to put in in my car myself. When I told him I was not able to do so he told me he can not help me out. Don’t come to this location. Hector and the employees do not care about their customers
Purchased four tires off amazon and selected pep boys as the installation service. I am writing this review in the waiting from at 10:47. My installation appointment was at 9 am and it has been an hour and forty seven minutes. They are tires I have swapped myself in be driveway in years past. I could do it myself in 2 hours easily. Please, find a tire machine, and someone that knows how to operate it in a timely fashion. If that doesn’t work out, I used three tire-spoons and did it in less time, maybe give that a try. Buyer beware.

This particular place in Rhode Island is not good in customer service. They dont even call for the appointment cancellation which i booked online. I assume if any warranty issues comes they will take months to address them and by that time its all over.I am not going to Pep Boys again. Especially this one.

I have become a regular customer here 1. because they care and 2. because they do great work. 3. Reasonable priceThe mechanics go and service manager and staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They make sure the car is safe and they wont fix what isnt broken. I work in retail and I have 4 cars and I wouldnt have them serviced any where else. I am actually a pretty tough customer, my husband doesnt like to come with me. But because of the kind of service I receive at Pep Boys in West Warwick, he doesnt mind coming with me because there is never anything to complain about.We generally visit at least twice a month and have been for about 3 years now. Al and Bob are great as is all the mechanics I have had the pleasure of dealing with.Try them and I guarantee you will be completely satisfied.

The work they do is top notch, the staff is knowledgeable and were very patient with the many questions we ask about the service we are getting. The store manger has clearly set the bar high for his staff and has woven a high standard of customer service in the fabric of their store. Well Done!And BTW... we received 3 phone calls to keep us abreast of the progress and pricing of the services we received. Unheard of these days!!Looking for good service this is the place to go!!
Terrible,they put 2 different size tires on my car And let me drive away. I had to go back to get replaced took 45 minutes
My wife got new tires, here we are 3 days later, tire light is on. The service advisor copped the BIGGEST attitude and told US to drive the car over to a bay and have them fill it. Im sorry, what? $800 and he tells us to do it ourselves. Then come to find out the technician put the tires at 40 instead of 32. They could have killed my wife if those tires blew. Not the mention the female advisor was smoking her vape walking through the store with her gut hanging out. NEVER AGAIN.

I had a very good experience with getting new tires installed today. Pep Boys were the only tire dealer around to have the tires I wanted in stock. I selected the tires on their web site, they had a special discount on them, in addition there was a manufacturer rebate. I got a really good deal on BF Goodrich g-Force COMP 2 A/S. The total price was shown clearly online. I set up an appointment in two hours, the same day and had them installed. It took me about 2 hours. The price was exactly the same I was quoted online. They were not pushy about the alignment. I asked them to do a free alignment check and they did. Told me it is a good idea to have it done and offered me a discount on the regular price. I told them I will come back because it was getting late. Overall excellent experience. The guys were nice and seem they are getting quite a bit of business. I will be coming back for a new battery soon.
Staff= A Pricing= F The staff was professional and courteous. the wait to be helped and my car to be on the lift was minuscule. The prices for repairs are OUTRAGEOUS your better off at a local mechanic these guys will quote you $530 for something that costs $350 to fix, the fact alone that they charge you for a LABOR WARRANTY is nothing short of a joke. All mechanics should have a labor warranty that is cost free, if you know what your doing you shouldnt have to warranty the work done let alone charge for it. Nothing more than oil or tire changes would bring me back to this place.

Went to Pepboys this past Saturday to get hub caps. There were two people working behind a counter, tires I think, standing together talking and no masks. Person at the register where I paid rubbed the top of the charge card machine several times with the flat of his hand when it was slow to work. We will not be returning any time soon with such disregard for mandated safety standards being ignored.
I was having issues with my wiper blades not functioning properly and went in to get it looked at. They told me the wiper blade motor and transmission were broken and wanted to charge me $420 to fix it. I went to two other auto repair businesses to see what quotes I could get and was told my wiper blade motor was perfectly fine and didnt need to be fixed, just the transmission by both of them. Pep boys tried to rip me off for more money and I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone.
Second incident I had with them, sat their for 2 hours when they told me the car would be ready for pick up. It wasnt, went home and finally got car back next day. And now has to go back. Found out at 430 am when we went to drive it to work.Went in for a brake check, and came out needing brakes. Waited 3 days for them to tell us this. And was done incorrectly.Place is a hack. And the people incompetent. Will not be returning.
Had a oil change done here before a long road trip not more then an hour in there is a scraping sound from the car inpull over to find the shield that protects the oilpan was not properly bolted back up and was being dragged under the car
I got my tires done here. They were quick and reasonably priced. Customer service was good throughout. The tires they put on (still on my car) have lasted longer than expected and still have a long way left to go. They also have a wide selection of parts/ accessories. Cant complain.

I have a break line “replaced” all they did was cut out the broken piece and connect a new piece only like 1- 1 and a half feet worth. They charged me for a break line replacement and didn’t even do their job correctly. They cut corners and will charge you for a full job when they only do part of it. Then when the area breaks again they will say “it was not where we touched so we won’t cover it” even though they said that they replaced the lines and charged me the whole price for it. Worst service ever.
Fleeced Service ChargesMy truck’s starter went while away from my home area. We had the truck towed to Pep Boys across the street as they had weekend service and avoided costly towing charges to my trusted mechanic. I was told the charges would be $560 and the starter was $315 alone. I was in no position to move the vehicle without a starter or costly towing charges. Upon getting home while being serviced I ran searches at AutoZone, Advanced Auto, Napa, and Pep Boys. Not one starter cost over $278, most under $200. While most offered numerous options, Pep Boys had only 1 option for my vehicle which was $139.49 and on a promotion making it only $109.49. I asked to see the bill when I went to pick the truck up, which he had to switch screens and print out for me (not readily available before charging my card). The bill showed the same exact starter part number for $315 which they had on promotion for $109. Upon showing printouts of their starter and the competitors, he adjusted the bill $159.01 (Not to the less expensive Pep Boy model, but to an Advanced Auto starter which he stated that was where the starter came from. Charging 3X what I would have paid had I ordered the same part outside the service desk and only adjusting to a competitor’s model while the bill states they installed their model is beyond improper.
I made an appointment for 2pm for four new tires and an alignmnet. 2 hrs later car was still in the same spot. It is now 530pm and I am still sitting here waiting for my car. No one seems concerned and just shooting the breeze in the shop This is ridiculous! I will never come back if this is the kind of service you get
This location is terrible. I knew more about cars than the guy at the advice desk.Called to make sure theyre open normal hours during the Christmas week so I could get a headlight. They hung up on me 3 times. I then asked for the manager and he tried to get me to buy 2 headlights. I will not be doing business with pepboys ever again.

About 3 years ago, I was taking care of my sister, who was bedridden with cancer. And my truck was stalling a lot So I went to a local automotive repair place, G&B Automotive. After 3 years and no success, from G&B Automotive. I took my truck to this Pep Boys, a week later, my truck is not stalling, anymore. In my book, Pep Boys, is trustworthy, awesome, and now my trusted mechanics. They are awesome!!!!
Yesterday I went in looking to get my 2001 Dodge Ram a set of new tires with mounting, balancing, and an alignment but once they got it on the lift they began to list a long list of things that need to be done that eventually led my bill to being nearly $2,000 so I accepted and had the work be done. The service I received wa tremendous and it was an employee by the name of Robert O. He helped me with everything and answered all my questions as I came up with them, he was always updating me to how things were going and what needed to be done as the problems appeared. Robert made my experience at pep boys the best Ive had anywhere else before. As far as my repairs made to the truck I believe the master techs name was Doug. I was pleased with everything he did as I watched the entire process through the windows from inside the store. I couldnt be happier with my experience at the store and I will definitely be returning for any other of my vehicle needs
I purchased a lifetime wheel alignment package from this store about a year back, when I installed new tires on my vehicle. I didnt buy the tires from PepBoys, but did the installation in this store. The first time I wanted to do wheel alignment and balancing at the same time. However I was told not to do balancing as the tires were new.However the steering wheel was wobbling from the start and I went in again after a months to fix this issue. This time as well, same response. However this time it was even worse, the wheel balancing was so off, I couldnt hold the steering wheel at all.Took the vehicle again after a month and they said, theyll fix something. The wobbling was a little subsided but still prevalent and then came the onset of winter.And a week back I took the vehicle for wheel alignment, this time they wanted me to buy the wheel balancing package, which I did.Only this time, the problem became worse and my steering wheel is shaking violently at 60mph.And so after almost 1 year and 4 visits, Im done with this store.Also, I wrote a feedback on the pep boys website, but the review was not accepted and they asked me to resubmit. Way to be a transparent company.I wouldnt trust this store to fill air

Was quoted a price over the phone for an alternator on a Nissan Altima 3.5SR (6 cyl). They mistakenly quoted me the cost for a 4 cylinder which was much less expensive.They owned the mistake and honored the quoted price. They made the repair in the quoted time frame.Wasnt expecting great service but they stepped up.Thanks Al, Cory and the Pep Boys team.
Good people. I just needed a breaker bar to remove some stuck lug nuts so I could plug a tire. They let me borrow one. After I bought a kit and plugged my tire, they refilled it for me as a favor.
11:30 appt for two tires. Its now 2:00pm and Im still waiting for my car. I cant believe a company that takes 2 and a half hours to change two tires is still in business. The best part is when I looked out the viewing window the tech working on my car is standing at the bay door smoking a butt. Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else.

Made an appointment for an oil change at 3pm and got told that Id still have to wait about 2 hours because the online appointments dont take into account the stuff he has there already. As far as Im concerned, an appointment should be prioritized over a walk in. Ill never take my car here for any service again and Ill never recommend this place to anyone.

Went on a Friday night to get my two tires installed that I bought on Amazon spent 2 1/2 hours waiting and they can find the tires anywhere manager would not do anything for me I will never go back to Pep Boys very bad service very bad management don’t go in there waste your time
I live an hour away from them. I called 3 times to confirm that they could mount 37 tall tires and they told me they could so i made an appt for 10:00 the next day. I got there about 9:40. They didnt touch my truck until almost 12:00 and when they brought it in they told me they can not mount 37 tall tires and I will have to take it else where. So now I will have wasted 4 hours of my day and still have my old tires on. I wouldnt have been mad if they told me on the phone or even at least looked at my truck at the scheduled time and told me then, but to have me sit in there waiting room for 2 hours was ridiculous.
