Before doing service at this place I check the reviews, some people are like it, and some dont. So I deccided to give a try, and bring my car for an ECM (Engine control module) replacement. They did job well, even though they found a shortage in wiring, and fix it on my approval. Im glad I bring my car over there because other places doesnt even bother to check your car on additional problems what youre not even expecting to have. They did inspection of all errors in system, and inspect mechanical problems as well. I can tell that Dealership or Midas will charge for that a good price with less enthusiasm. But this guys.. Hey Im glad I bring my car to this place, even though cheap customers will always live a bad reviews no matter what place it is. I really liked dealing with this auto repair place! In the past my husband was servicing my Mercedes ML-550 at the Mercedes dealership. It was okay, however, it costs a fortune! So, my car was taken care of by Victor at Hi Tech Automotive at Wheeling. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast proactive service and extremely low prices compared to the dealership and other places. Previously, my husband also took his car (Mercedes GL - 550) to this place for some repairs. He cherishes both our cars, so he put his trust into this place for our auto needs. Again, Victor is an amazing guy to deal with. His help and professionalism are outstanding! He is very knowledgeable regarding German cars! I highly recommend this place to everyone. Stop by just for an oil change. Again, you will be happy about the prices!!!

I brought my VWJetta for shift problems. Victor is very honest to tell you what is wrong with your car. This shop knows how to work on European imports, that is their specialty. Also understand that nothing is cheap with euro cars so parts are going to be expensive. Labor rate here was very reasonable. This was my first time bringing my car to Hi-Tech and Im glad I did! Whenever I need any service, I visit this shop. They provide free vehicle check up and only suggest which is actually required for your vehicle. They even give you suggestions for future. They will give you quotes and also help you finding the best parts for your car if you want to buy it on your own. Labour charges are better than other service providers.

This is a great place. I have been able to come in with little or no notice and get my oil changed and tire rotation. They recommended my breaks getting done I said that Id do them and put my wheels back on and didnt pressure me at all. Later I couldnt fully complete the work and they offered to for a extremely reasonable fee. I love havingoing a mechanic close to my work that is this helpful and reliable.

Ive been using Hi Tech for over 5 years. Have always been satisfied with the service they performed on both of my cars(I have a BMW and Escalade).They have reasonable prices.What I like best about this shop is their professional approach and cleanliness of the work area. They take a good care of the vehicles they work on.Ever since I walked in to this shop I havent used any other place for my vehicles maintenance.

Normally I take all my cars here to high tech thought prices were good and work was done right etc I took my car In last September and was told I need about 700 worth of stuff on my car etc anyway it was quiet for a couple months or so and it started to make the same noises that it had done before so I’m like ok I got the warranty so imma take it back and they’ll fix it again we’ll i was wrong they looked at the car and said oh the noise is from the body hell no it’s not the body the body of a car doesn’t sound like my tire is going to fall off!!! They told me there’s nothing they can do took it to another shop on highland park was told it was my sway bar bushings and my upper control arms turns out I had to pay an extra 700 so if high tech did their job right I would have been happier and I wouldn’t of had to pay even more money for something that could have been solved for before I will be looking into getting my money back from high tech

Horrible experience! Will never ever go there and recommend anyone.The shop replaced the tires on our two cars a little over 6 month ago. Soon after the tires were replaced, most of the tires started to leak air. We never had issue with tire pressure on our cars and we were very surprised, since we had 8 brand new tires now. We took the cars back to the shop and asked them to check and get the issue resolved. Once again we were charged for the work and told that everything should be fine and if not, it is possible that we had bad rims and we need to replace our wheels. Soon after the second visit, the tires started to loose air pressure again. Not able to afford a set of 8 new rims, we went to the store and purchased a new air pump and since then were pumping air every day or so into our tires. Recently, one of our friends heard about our issues and offered to help. Just with soap and water he checked our tires and told us that all of our valves were leaking air and our rims were fine. This morning, my husband took one of the cars back to the shop, explained the issue that we were having and told the repair shop manager to check the tires. He also told them that it is unacceptable that we had to pay twice for this work, nothing was done, the problem was not properly diagnosed and we were charged twice for nothing. This time, he wanted to pay for new valves but wanted the repairs to be done for free. The shop manager said that this is not a tire shop and they are not responsible for any tire work. My husband told them that if they dont do tire work they should tell people that they dont do it and dont just take their money for a low quality work. The service manager did not want to do the work for free, so my husband left. If we have to pay for this repairs for the 3rd time, it is better to go to a qualified shop to make sure the job would be done correctly.We are very dissatisfied with the repairs and service that we received in this shop and would never recommend this shop to anyone. A shop that does stand up for their work and dont feel responsible for poor quality service cannot be trusted.

It was a bitter experience, On 11/07/19 went with oil change alert and noice check. Got car out from shop after paying $1800 on 17/07/19. I still have noice issue. I strongly suggest not to choose this shop for any kind of repair.Day1: car parts cost is too high and we had bargaining discussion on this cost, he agreed to solve both issues for $1500, some how he convinced me for this cost.Finally day bill: car parts cost is different, I shocked by realizing this, though bill turned to $1800, still the main noice issue is not solved.I will keep posting what he did, It is just to make sure no one else to loose their valued time and money.

My car was running smooth with no problems, one day I saw a little black smoke when the car started.I took my car, BMW, to Hi Tech, to see if they can tell me and fix the black smoke coming from muffler. People from Hi Tech checked the car and found lots of problems. They supposedly fixed the car. After a week of driving we saw that we still have black smoke and the car is choking when driving. When we took the car to the Hi Tech they found different problems. They said they fixed it. After a month we came back again with the same problem, but they said then that they dont see anything. We took the car to a different repair shop. They checked the parts that were replaced by Hi Tech and said that those parts were wrong for the problem the car has.So the Hi Tech not only did not fix the problem, they created a different problem that cost us a fortune to fix and also cost us a lot of money. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Zero to this shop,was here with my BMW had a check engine light and radiator flash,first it took way to long to fix it,promised in 2 days had to go there at 4 th day.Finally got my car back,next day the engine light came on again.Than i looked in to the antefreez rezervoar nothing was done there ether.Called to get the car fixed,the owner tald me to call back in 2 weeks,too busy,in 2 weeks called same thing,,call back in 2 weeks,dont have time right now.the bill was 700+$ nothing done to the car.Whent to a different shop fixed the problem for 100$.So bypass it.you will be better off.

Forgive the screenname, this is actually my account but I let my daughter use it for her youtube stuff (I do this to stay on top of her activity and this way I get to see everything, it was our agreement) Anyway, today is the coldest day in 30 years and these guys could not have been better. I called around 10AM with my car unable to start. Two guys come out, jump my car and take it to the shop for free, and call me with details as to when it is done. Fortunately, when it was done my fiance had just returned and so we went to pick it up, even though earlier they said they would drop it off for me. Unreal. Who does this? Much less on a day where its 45 below windchill? When I came in to pay, since it was such a brutal day, I asked who were the two guys who picked up my car (they had scarves on in the cold so I didnt get to see their faces) and one guy raised his hand and pointed to the other guy thru the glass. I took out two $20s and said here, this is for you two going the extra mile on such a horribly cold day, I cant thank you enough and he said, thats very kind of you, but not necessary and gave them back to me. (I hope I didnt insult him by doing this, I was just so floored at the quality of service) So, I assure you these guys are honorable and outstanding and well worth your consideration when looking for auto work. Thanks again guys, couldnt be more impressed.

Cheaters they are.. In the morning when i went to drop my car for repair.. they adked for 220$ total cost including labor and part cost. While at the time of pic up they are charging 320$... Saying we said this only. I remember very clearly what they told to us. We confirmed twice. CHEATERS. Ll never recommend to anyone

Fast turnaround. My manual clutch went out on 94 and I was towed there. They had my car back and running well in 2 days.

These guys know what theyre talking about. I am an engineer, and a back-alley mechanic, and I put an emissions part on. Needless to say, I was chasing the P1491 code on an Infiniti Qx4 all over the place. I even had taken it to the dealer, months prior (for another problem), and they couldnt find the problem emissions problem. I took it to Hi Tech, and they had it done in no time. They found that I put the part on up-side-down (a breather), explained to me how it worked, and fixed it on the spot. They are very reasonable with their prices, and I would recommend them. In fact, Im taking my car there for them fo fix the oil cooler seal. Great people, and the owner, Leone, is a super guy, from what I can tell.

Weve bringing our cars here for a few years now and have been very happy with the service that Tony, Leo, and their crew provide, always helpful and willing to work with you to get your repairs done at a high level for a reasonable price!

I gave them one star. even one star is alot, if there was 1/2 star, i would gave them that. i took my car to Hi-tech to change the catalyctic converter, and they charged me $779. I just didnt know if the price is in the normal range or not so i told them to change. a day after i called around repair shops including a toyota dealer, guess what i got so much cheaper price. toyota dealer was most expensive but they told it would be $639+ tax which is still cheaper then HI-Tech. I just went to Hi-tech because my russian friend told me to go there. guess what everybody in that store are russians. im not being racist here, but there are lots of shops to go around here. please dont even consider to go there. go somewhere else. they will rip off your hard earned money. it is not worth it. I hope they wont delete this review so people like me could read it before they go.

Came here on 2 occasions only because the shop is super close. First time an hour wait turned into 2.5 hours. Second time 1 hour wait turned into 3.5 hours. Got there and they tell me that Im being charged extra. Avoid the headache.
