Always had a great experience at Advance Audio.It’s so hard to find boutique audio shops any more and Advance is one of Wichita’s last ones. Mike will always treat you well if you’re interested in a good system. Wichita is lucky to have a brick and mortar shop that has brands like McIntosh, Revel and other high end products.

Mike is an awesome guy! You won’t find cheaper prices anywhere. They’re willing to negotiate and get you taken care of. I’ve purchased over $10,000 worth of home theater equipment that I would of paid well over $14,000 if I bought it elsewhere.

Do NOT bring your car here. I got some subs and a new radio installed in my car and I’ve been having so many problems it makes no sense. One of the guys didn’t wire up the subs right and had my car going crazy took it back up there explaining the issue and they fixed it. The radio that was installed has been turning off while I play music, so I called them over a million times and the guy who picked up had the worst attitude ever as if he didn’t want to be bothered. They claimed they fixed the issue but I’m still experiencing the same problem. I’ve taken my car up to get inspected and they said there’s nothing wrong it’s just advance audio who has to go back and check there work because something might be missing. I asked for a refund and was told no, I then asked for some sort of compensation but got well we are fixing it for free. Well if you are fixing it then why do I have to keep coming back and forth for you to look at the issue. Just unprofessional all the way around.

They have been the greatest audio place in wichita for years. I had my first car done there in the early 90s. A convertible 74 caprice classic and a maxima. They are still around because they do great work. 👍 I will never go to anyone but them.

If i could rate 0 stars i would. The person who answered my call was very brief and hung up before i could ask when i can bring my car in, and clearly stated he didnt want my buisness when i called back. I do NOT recommend this place since they act unprofessional

First, they sold me a speaker kit that didn’t even have all the speakers in it and they refused to refund me my money back and while I was in the store, there were other people who was having the same problem. Overall the professionalism just isn’t there and I’ve had friends who had problems with them in the past but I decided to try and give them a try and I see they still haven’t changed

They had to reschedule my first appointment. My next appointment, they were an hour late getting to my truck and it took them an hour longer than they said it would be. So, i was charged double, even though owner said he would give me a discount...they might have given me a free wire or something. They got 2 stars because it does work, but I wont go back.

The owner gave me demos of the equipment and even hooked up some other speakers for me so I could customize my setup before purchasing. Mike, the owner, is a great guy and will treat you right. The business gets very busy on occasion and he doesnt have an army of people some days, so patience is key when dealing with this business if you want a seamless experience. Mike gave me great deals I could not beat anywhere and even gave me a reference for an audio equipment installation specialist who did custom jobs, since I called 5 electricians out and they all said my setup was impossible until Mikes guy came and got the job done, no questions asked. Definitely no regrets buying my home theater here. I will be back for any audio equipment in the future, even if I have to order it from Mike and have it delivered. He is an authorized dealer for some equipment so you can trust him and his prices.

Over the last several years, Ive purchased a Kenwood shallow sub, a Kenwood amp, a Hertz sub, and a few other miscellaneous things from these guys. They have always treated me well and Ive never had a problem with anything I bought. I dont know much about their install side since I usually install myself, but they did diagnose a wiring problem on my golf cart sound system pretty quickly once. The owner seems like a good guy when you chat with him.

The last two reviews are from the competition obviously! I have a new tundra truck that I am doing a $30,000 sound system and they also just built a custom box and installed everything and my new Tesla model S! I typically only use high-end sound quality products in my car and this is by far the only place I would take my stuff! I have went to another one of the shops in Wichita which Im not going to say their name But they are fairly know! The other shop did the worlds worst install on my new stinger 9000 RCAs, They had the wires smashed in about five places and also broke my cupholders and my Escalade not to mention they charged me $450 for that and supposedly turned the stereo and I got into the settings of my Audison and everything was completely flat and a half the sub woofers were not playing! I have been using advance ever cents and there is no one in the states even remotely better than them. Im thinking the other stereo shops are hurting for business and trying to give advance a bad name but take it for me these guys are awesome! I will post some pictures of the recent two vehicles Ive had done in the last month and you can judge for yourself ! I know everybody had advance very very well and trust me if theres a problem they will take care of you! No one would ever threaten anybody there.

Poor customer service not alot of knowledge

Called person was rude over the phone wouldnt tell me hours and then hung up on me. Guess they didnt want me buying my new sound system there.

While they did figure out what was wrong with the amp, they said they couldnt fix it and that I had to go to someone else. The old man at the counter is nice, but not professional. Dont think I will go back.

I am in the store now spoke with Roberto on the phone last 5 days ago made an appointment for today over the phone, was quoted two hours labor on the phone for radio and backup cam replacement. Got here today and Roberto said they didnt have me on their books for an appointment and they were trying to overcharge me an additional two hours, for a total of 4 hours... Said he didnt tell me 2 hours as if Im going to come here and just lie... Very unorganized and potential rip off artist over charging people.. Run take your vehicle elsewhere and if you do decide to use them record the conversation. Horrible customer service and dismissive.

Best audio shop in town. Had a bad experience with All Elements Auto. They damaged my car and ruined my stereo install. Took my car into Advance Audio and they turned my trash install into one of the best sounding systems in town!! Nathan is a great installer and has ton of experience. Anthony at the front counter is also very knowledgeable. The owner Mike is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He treated me like the best customer ever. $7000 later Im hitting almost 150db and the amps arent even turned up yet. So if you see the black Chrysler 300 with the tag HATEDON, and wonder how its so damn loud. Go see my boys at Advance, they will hook you up.

Install was fantastic but customer service was well below expectations. I walked in and talked to the employee about what I had and what they could do for me. Went elsewhere and compared prices and reviews and decided to go back to schedule an install of an amp and 2 subs. I was told they had an opening at noon which was only 30 minutes away so I decided to grab some lunch and go back. After arriving at noon, they set me in a theater room and offered to start a movie which I declined but appreciated. After an hour, I went outside and saw my truck was still sitting where I parked it. Even though my appointment was at noon. After 3 hours nobody had updated me on the progress and I had to ask the manager to check on my truck. At that time, I was told 30 more minutes. After another hour, the manager was out to lunch so I asked the owner what was going on. he had an employee go to the shop who came back with another 20 minutes. At 3:50, the installer finally brought my truck up front. 4 hours of waiting for 2 subs, and an ampTo be installed is crazy, but with absolutely no communication, explanation, or apology is even crazier. I dont appreciate having my time wasted. I will absolutely never give them my business again and would definitely not reccomend them unless you like your time being wasted.

Wow that was bad. Felt brushed off from the very beginning to the point of where they were cussing at me and saying they don’t want my business (I would understand if I was aggressive or rude). All I did was walk in and ask if they can install a radio face unit. They did actually install that, but literally nothing else and were deceptive from the beginning. Simply put, avoid....

I’ve had to redo two different installs that the guys at advance audio performed. Both customers told me that the people at advance were rude when asked to fix the install and refused to accept responsibility. I would never recommend that anyone go here if you want it done right the first time.

I cannot say enough about the experience at Advance Audio. Everyone there provided me with a world class experience, from the owner, to the associates, and the technicians. The owner, Mike is always there, and shows genuine concerns for his customers. Sam the associate, was phenomenal to deal with. My new vehicle has noise cancellation technology, which interfered with the operations of the audio system, but Sam didnt quit until they installed the correct technology to improve the sound quality. Sam even provided me with the best deal for my inconvenience. The technicians were extremely professional and patient with the installation. The appearance of the installation almost looks factory. I would highly recommend Advance Audio! I know where I am going for my home audio equipment.

Had them install a remote starter on my new car. I called ahead of time to make sure they could use my factory fob and I was told to bring my car in so they could look at it to make sure. So a special trip down there later, I was told yes, they could. Great. So I schedule an install. They call me when they are nearly done with the install to let me know I could come get my car and also they couldnt use my factory fob; so now I have to carry around a seperate, cheaply made fob and add it to my already full key ring. No call when they found this out during the install. Just proceeded installing knowing I was adamant about not having an extra fob. Blamed it on the maker of the vehicle, charged me for it and sent me on my way. Not to mention the remote start acts squirrely on me and I want it fixed but dont want to take it back to these guys. I only used this place because the dealership I bought the car from recommended them and I received a discount for using them.

The GM helped me figure out what I needed exactly and how to set it up. He was very knowledgeable and eager to share his knowledge with customers. Their install work is also very clean and professional.

I spent over $2,200 on a head unit and subs for my 2016 F250 Superduty truck. I had several requirements on the system I was going to purchase. I wanted Navigation, satellite Radio, Steering Wheel Controls, and 2 back up cameras. Immediately noticed the steering wheel controls did not work and brought this to their attention. They said they would have to order the parts in and they would call me when the parts came in. I have called back many times and no one knows anything about my issue. I called to activate my satellite radio and was told that I do not have a tuner in the head unit that I purchased. I called in again and got the same one runaround. I requested to speak with Mike several times but he was never available. I have known Mike for over 35 years since our days at WSU. Over the years I have had many car, truck, and boat systems. I even had them do my home theater system. I have had terrible customer service from them. Shame on you Mike for not resolving this issue. Overall bad experience would not recommend having them do your sound system.

I recently had the subwoofer stolen out of my 1973 Datsun 240Z. I took it to the guys at Advance Audio to get it replaced. I thought it would take a day to replace, but was surprised they had it for over a week. When I got it back, I understood why they kept it longer. I was blown away -- they CUSTOM MADE not just a new sub woofer box, but they fabricated a complete new speaker panel for the sub and the other speakers. It is fabulous! They made it with orange piping around the edges to match the color of the car, and even embossed a big Z in it to match the logo. The front kick panels are equally impressive. Completely custom, absolutely first class works of art. I never, ever expected it to be so good. The sound is out of this world. They so far exceeded my expectations I couldnt believe it. On top of that, it really didnt cost much for what I got. I cant say enough about these guys. They are incredible. I highly, highly recommend them!

Approximately 2 years ago, I purchased a complete stereo system from Advanced Audio for my boat. Last week, I noticed some minor issues with the sound while out on the water. Not only did Advanced Audio repair the problem QUICKLY with no questions asked, it cost me ZERO - equipment & installation covered under warranty

I had a remote start installed. They charge quite a bit for install, about $150 dollars. I say about because the price of the unit includes installation, but their unit price is around double if I Hought it on Amazon. I had some scheduling difficulties with them as well. When I went in for installation they did not have me on their calendars. Their explanation was we dont have your part in anyways. Overall, a mediocre experience.

Whatever you needed stereos for your home or your car just come to see Mike hell treat you right,their price very comparable if not better than you can buy online.just pass week I came back and to Mike and ended up bought a pair of Golden Ear Trion one speakers and my experience with them over the top . The price was better than any other retailers online and they helped me delivery and set up at my house for free . The one thing I like about Mike is he not trying to sell you the most expensive pices but the ones he thinks the best sound for the money.

I use to love coming here but it has changed over the years. In short Ill just say that during my last installation they managed to blow out the lights on my climate control. I notified them of the issue and i was told to come up there the next day and they would take care of it. Went up there and I was told they had to order the bulbs (wasted visit) and they would call me. One week later and still no call... Oh and and my unit wont work in accessory mode I was told it was a short or something in my tumbler found out it wasnt so i guess they just didnt want to fix it.

I do not usuallly post review but because of my excellent experience with Nathan the guy who helped fix my dvd set up in my SUV I think that the least thing I can do is to give him a good review. I tried to install my four dvd headrest by myself just by following the manual and instruction. Based on the video pass feature each player is capable of video output and sharing the video to the next screen and passing the video around the four screen to complete a loop to share a movie by using one player to watch it simultaneously through the four dvd headrest. Well guess what? After several hours of work and tweaking I was only able to show the movie on two of them. So I went to their store to ask some professional advice to fix the problem, I need four screen to work, I have four kids and we will be driving to California and New York this summer and I want them to get entertained along the way. So I went to Advance Audio and there I met the owner of the store and he was very nice and helpful he asked what I need and though they were busy he asked one one of their technician to come out to work with me. A guy came out of their working space his name is Nathan he was very accommodating and very helpful though he was very busy he came out with me to check my set up and I explained to him what I did and what I want to do with my set up. This guy Nathan he was very knowledgeable and expert in what he do, he right away knows what to do and suggested a quick fix, we went in grab some wires (Splitter) and went back outside he hooked me and and in less than 10 minutes the problem was solved. He sent me back inside and just asked me to pay all the wires that we used, and in less than 30 minutes I was driving home and very happy with my experience with this store. I will definitely come back and do business with them, they are very nice, professional and they know what they are doing, plus I know that they are not going to rip me off like the other stores in town. Now I am planning to ask them to install Viper remote system for my Toyota Sequoia SUV in the near future.
