Dr. Lentz is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate eye doctors Ive been to. He genuinely cares for his patients well being and health. Lentz also has the most thorough eye exams Ive ever received. I was very surprised by it at my first visit. It was very informative about the present health of my eyes as well as the long term outlook of my eye health.

Unfortunately I was told Dr.Lentz would not see me due to my position as a Covid 19 health worker. I was then asked if I could avoid contact with Covid 19 patients for 14 days. Unfortunately I doubt he would reimburse me for my hourly rate of missing those two weeks. I understand that in these time we have to be careful and cautiouse but with my position and equipment I wear more PPE in 5 mintues then that entire office has the entire year. After 45 mintues of sitting in the waiting room waiting after being told to give them 5 mins to see if I could get an appointment with another Doctor I was told they were waiting for Dr. Lentz to finish seeing his current patient. I politely told the receptionist I would be leaving and to please shred my information they had collected.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful and friendly, they are very informative and answer any and all questions you ask and are helpful in understanding what is going on with your vision and eyes. Absolutely recommend them.

Service is exceptional, appointments are on time, and staff is wonderful to work with. This has kept me coming back for almost 40 years!

Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at the optometrist. The staff are so friendly and kind. Love the sweet ladies at the front desk and the technician who performed the vision tests. Dr. Hamm is very knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Jo is fantastic and made finding the right glasses for me a breeze. Highly recommend to everyone!

Dr Lentz and his staff are amazing! My family has been helped by him for the past 15 years. He takes time to address our concerns and I love that he has state of the art equipment so we dont have to have our eyes dilated! I appreciate his recommendations for vitamins that improve eye function and that he stays up on current information. His staff is friendly, professional and helpful. They have a great selection of glasses and different options for contacts. Dr Lentz recommended disposable contacts, which helped our daughters be able to see better for sports. It improved our daughters shooting game in basketball immensely, which has helped her get a college scholarship! She had tried contacts before and reacted to the solution so his recommendation was spot on! We are so thankful for Dr Lentz and his staff!! I highly recommend him!

Had an exam and was prescribed eye drops. The doctor wanted to do a follow up in ten days. I paid for the first exam $110 and paid for my wifes exam then on the follow up exam I paid for what I thought was just my wifes glasses. I got a bill that I still owed $10 in the mail a couple weeks later and I saw on the invoice they had charged me another $110 for the follow up visit. I figured it was a mistake so I called them but was told that is how they charge. Ive traveled a lot and lived all over the country but have never been charged for a follow up visit by any of my doctors. The fact they dont tell you that you will be charged another $110 for the follow up is a bit annoying and surprising. Lesson learned Ill find a new eye doctor here in town and check on the billing practices before I commit to the exam.

My glasses slipped off my nose while looking over the railing on The Keeper of the Plains bridge Saturday afternoon. I was able to schedule an exam Tuesday afternoon and had my new Rx and frames in less than 24 hrs. I was also able to get a new pair of sunglasses with the buy one frame get the second at 50% off. Thats great service when I needed it most.

I recently returned to Wichita after working out of state. It was my first chance to get my new Rx and sunglasses adjusted from the place they were purchased. Because my glasses were expensive, I waited to have them professionally adjusted. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Jo, the lady who sold me my glasses and had adjusted them in the past, was on vacation. The young man and woman who were on duty were not as skilled or professional as Jo. It was not a good experience and I had to return the next day because their first attempt to adjust my glasses was not done correctly. When I returned the next day for another attempt at an adjustment, the same young man was on duty. When he went to the back to attempt to adjust my glasses again, I went to the reception desk and discussed my concerns with the 2 ladies behind the counter. One of the ladies went to the back room and apparently mentioned my concerns with the young man. I quickly learned this was a mistake to have voice my concerns. When he returned with my glasses, instead of handing them to me, he slid them across the desk and said, here you go! He never once looked to see how they fit on my ears. He looked from across the counter and suggested they looked fine. When I asked him to adjust my sunglasses, I assumed because of their expense, he would use the available tools or instruments to make the adjustments. Instead, he used his fingers to adjust the nose pieces. I am very fortunate he did not break them. After this, I finally gave up! I am very disappointed the service and the unprofessional way I was treated. There are many places in Wichita and the surrounding area to have my eyes examined and to purchase my glasses. Apparently Lentz Eye Care has plenty of business and can afford to lose mine.

Dr. Lentz is very knowledgeable, personable, and courteous doctor who truly wants to help his patients. I was wearing a more expensive and uncomfortable contact lens before I had an appointment and Dr. Lentz set me up with better, cheaper contact lenses. Highly Recommend!

First of all my in office experience has been fine. It is a bit high priced but the exam was pleasant and the dr very friendly. However, they continually refuse to release my prescription to me and when I try to reorder contact lenses online they deny the order over and over. Even after calling multiple times asking them to approve the order (for the exact matching prescription) they deny it. I know they want to make money selling them themselves but to basically hold my prescription hostage so I cannot do that is inappropriate. Im not trying to contact my doctor into getting opiates...I just want to be able to see!
