Years ago when I bought my ring, Kay was the best. Courteous, helpful, knowledgeable. But now when I visit, the wait time just to get an acknowledgement, is ridiculous. Ill be right with you goes a long way with waiting customers. And forget about calling them..they wont answer.
Went in for warranty inspection, had to wait a while before being greeted then was told I am missing a itty bitty diamond and since I was late for my check ups they wont cover it. I didnt argue, I didnt get upset, nothing, I just asked for my ring back and walked out. I guess Ill call another day to ask what the next steps are but the way the guy was talking to me was too smug and happy that I was missing a diamond I did not want to deal with him.
We purchased my wedding band and engagement ring from Kays and regret it solely due to the lack of care and concern shown by their employees. The only individual who we were impressed with was the girl at the Maize Road location who received the commission from the initial sale. Other than that, its been a complete headache with sizing/resizing, not getting contacted by them when the ring is ready, being misinformed about it being ready in time for our wedding the first time we had to get it resized, then later finding out that information was inaccurate by the employee who initially sold it to us and that we could, in fact, have it back before our wedding, and just an overall feeling of insignificance from each and every employee who is NOT making commission off of us. Unfortunately, we just completed another visit and the ring is still not sized correctly and the employee disregarded our word when we swore that neither of us ever received a voicemail or email advising that our ring was ready over two weeks ago. Luckily, we just stopped by to check on the status of it today or else we never wouldve known. We refuse to ever go back to the Town East Mall location regarding this matter. Additionally, do not ever try calling them because you will NEVER receive an answer. I also mentioned this today while in the store, and the employee replied with, the customers in the store come before answering the phones. This implies that unless they can profit or benefit off of you, they do not care whatsoever about customer satisfaction, inquiries, or issues. We now understand we will only receive quality service from the one employee who originally sold us the ring out on Maize Road. I definitely do not recommend this location. We have spent thousands of dollars at Kays and you never could tell by the treatment weve received.
Stopped by friday about 245 pm stood there 20 mins not one single employee said hi or even acted like we were even there. But each would look at us not saying a word or even ssy be with you in just a moment but yet would just look at us. So rude. After the fact began to walk off then they ask if we needed something, when we said no thank you we would just go to different kays location he ssid ok great that would be wonderful. What great customer service .
They did an appraisal very friendly and helpful. Next time I buy something nice for myself I will make sure I come here.
Fast, friendly, knowledgeable, they take care of the customer, and I love the lifetime warranty they offer on jewelry.

I took my wedding ring in back in March to be soldered together for my big day and then the pandemic and stay at home order happened. I knew with all going on it would be awhile before I would get it back. Last week I got an email Im sure was a standard sent one but I thought I would reach out and inquire about a possible status as to when I could expect a finish date. Adam not only got my ring work done but had it shipped to my house within a week of my inquiry! Its absolutely beautiful! Thank you Adam for going the extra mile!
Great place to get gifts, or just jewelry and watches in general. Very friendly staff who are happy to help match you to the perfect piece. During Christmas they were having some gorgeous necklaces for 24.99. Im not sure if thats a common sale or just for holidays but I would absolutely take advantage if you want a very nice gift without breaking the bank.
Great customer service! While cleaning my necklace, a few diamonds came out and I left with a brand new necklace. They are very patient and never pushy about a sale. They have always told us about upcoming sales and give us time to think. There is a layaway option and their charge card offers interest free payment options. Cant say enough great things about mine and my fiances experience.
Les was a great help in helping me to find individualized and meaningful jewelry pieces for everyone on my shopping list. When the clearance sales occurs, she always is able to find me great jewelry at great prices. Be sure and ask for her for all your special occasion shopping.
Had my engagement ring and wedding ring soldered there. They replaced a 9,000$ diamond with a cheap one. Even with a warranty they only replaced it with a 7,000$ diamond and used a less reputable grading company. Do not recommend for anything!!!!
Stopped in for a ring check and some warranty work on some other pieces of jewelry. Another Customer was parked at the counter and had been there for some time. No one acknowledged that I was even there or apologized for the wait. I waited 10 minutes and left, came back 20 minutes later and the same customer was still parked at the counter. I know it’s a busy time but there were 3 ladies behind the counter. Not very good customer service.
DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!! My online order was deliver incorrect and Kay refuses to correct their technical error. I was actually called a LIAR by Chris the customer service rep. He told me that there was no way there could have been a technical error. (I assume this is because he has a masters degree in technology).I went online to order charms during their charm bracelet promotion and accordingly one of the charms I ordered was not eligible. (Even though the free bracelet appeared in my cart at checkout). Now even after I offered to return the ineligible charm and buy I different one they said, You will not be receiving a free bracelet. Even after I told them I was going to return all of my purchase they did not care. (I mean really it is a $40 bracelet and they do not want to make it right for a long time customer. Also a customer that will be returning to obviously buy more charms). I should have just gone to PANDORA.One positive is Cindy who was a fabulous customer service rep, she should have Chris job as she was so helpful, understanding, and caring about the whole situation. Kudos Cindy keep up the good work. Im sorry you have to work for such an dishonest and non-customer orientated company.Just dont buy here, they dont care about their customers. If anything they think we are all liars and only want to take our money and run. Well I wont shop here, never again. Thank you Kay for ruining my wedding gifts.
If you go to Kays ask for Les she is wonderful and will go out of her way to help with whatever you may need. Les has been phenomenal with the replacement of my wedding ring.
Ive never written a google review, let alone a bad one, but this needed to be said. Its almost as if my wedding ring is in the shop more than its on my finger. Theyll keep it to fix it, or resize it, or whatever they claim, for weeks, even months at a time. Its happend to me on many different occasions and Ive only been engaged/married one year and a couple months. I barely even had my ring throughout my engagement. Riddles is where you need to go!

If I could give less than one star I would. Currently having the worst experience Ive ever had. Theyve had my ring for two months now, always one excuse or another why its not done yet. Was supposed to be over night shipped today to pick up today and yet another excuse that the shop messed up and didnt ship it overnight so it wont be ready until next week. Absolutely terrible customer service. Wouldnt recommend to a single person and will actively let people know.
I went into the town east square store to send my wedding rings in to get soldered together. After just over 2 weeks I went to pick it up and there is discoloration on my ring. In the email I received it said that they have finished the high quality review of my ring to meet their high standards. How is a discolored ring high standards? My ring was not like this when I had them sent in. The woman at the front scrubbed it for 20 mins saying that it was just smudged. Then after the 20 mins with no progress said that it will come off in a few days. So now I have to take it to another store to have it sent in to be fixed.
We bought a replacement wedding band for my husband. Staff was helpful and answered our questions.

From out of town, my wife took her ring in because it was broken, returned to pick it up, and she was unaware that there are two malls in Wichita. The lady helping was rude, and snooty, asked if my wife was even the person who dropped off the ring, said she was at the wrong place, and accused her of trying to pick up someone elses ring. Disrespectful and arrogant. The Towne West Kay employees were completely opposite! Great service! We wont return to this one!!
AWFUL costumer service. My boyfriend and I got my ring back in August the White Sapphires yellowed we were a couples days outside of their 60 day return so we exchanged it in March one of my stones fell out, we sent it in two weeks later got in back, then at the end of April lost another stone they refuse to let us return it and just had to exchange again. Rick was not pleasant to deal with and said the they are sticking to their warranty. We will never ever purchase from Kays again. Rude people and awful jewelry!
Extremely disappointed. A few weeks ago my Fiance and I went to Kays to pick out his wedding band. We ended up deciding on a Tungsten band. He was sized and they said they would send it out to be sized. I was told we could pick the wedding band on the 9th of Feb (today) I went to the store to pick up the wedding band and the woman who was helping me looked very confused. She said well thats odd, It looks like there is a note here saying this ring cannot be sized because its Tungsten.. Apparently Tungsten cant be sized and you have to order the ring in the size you want. (the gentlemen who helped us out when we had first picked out the ring clearly didnt know this).. The woman then said, Weve had this for about a week, Im surprised no one called you. I said So did you guys order the ring in 8.5 size? The woman clearly stated No, we need to contact you first before ordering it So I said well can we order it? She asked for the wedding date, which is the 24th of this month. Apparently the ring would be not available to come back in time by the 24th. The woman had very little to say and didnt apologize that no one called myself or my fiance to inform us they needed to order the ring, so now here we are 16 days away from our wedding and my fiance has no wedding band.. I asked the Woman how she was going to fix the situation, she said I really dont know what to say, theres really nothing I can do for you. I requested for my money back. NEVER GIVING KAYS MY BUSINESS. This wasnt just a watch or a random gift. THIS WAS A WEDDING BAND.... way to go Kays.... You guys are terrible. You need to train your employees better.
Terrible experience with an old lady working the counter. My wife needed her ring re-sized and this terrible old woman kept making a big deal about the ring having to go up three sizes because my wife had put on some weight due to pregnancy. This woman should not be dealing with the public!
I have shopped at Kays for a number of years, so, when I saw the negative reviews about the Towneast location I was skeptical. I was WRONG. Everything is true. They know very little about their product, they are rude, and they dont want to explain anything unless you specifically ask them. I have always liked Kays, but alas, they have changed and I will not shop their any longer.
Sent off my $2000 movado mirror watch and lost it. No call, had to call them to find out. Not happy. Y’all owe me.
