Recently had my engagement ring and wedding band (wrap style) repaired for the 5th time in 20 years. Im very hard on my jewelry (i.e. rarely take my rings off), so the prongs tend to break over time. Im always amazed with the quality of their work, not only the repairs, but the cleaning they do as well. My rings look brand new, every time! Highly recommend!!
I am shocked and appalled at the unprofessional and shady way this jeweler has treated me . A MONTH ago I dropped a family heirloom ring off to Ron to be sized for me. While I was there dropping it off, I EXPLICITLY asked Ron to NOT touch the prongs, diamonds, or do anything other than size my ring. After a week, I went to pick up this very special ring and it was the wrong size. Things happen, so I left it with them again to correct the mistake. THREE weeks later, Ron informs me that he preplaced 26 prongs on my ring and that it would normally cost me 600 but he would give it back to me for 100. He did not ask me if he could do this to my ring and did exactly what I asked him not to do. After all of this, my ring is STILL the wrong size. Who even knows if Ron put the same antique diamonds back in my ring? This place is dishonest, despicable, and you will not get what you ask for. I am shocked and will NEVER bring any of my jewelry to this establishment again.
Stopped in just to have two watches sized and apparently it was a menial job to them. I guess people forget about secret shoppers and Ill advise him to purchase my engagement ring elsewhere.
I received excellent customer service while looking for a ring for Mother’s Day during covid-19 outbreak. Staff was very friendly, energetic attentive and outgoing. Went to Robins Diamonds in Newark the owner was not any of these things mentioned. I vote Harris Jewelers #1. Thanks
I recently purchased a watch online from a high end watch dealer in Philadelphia and had it shipped to me and needed it sized. I went to other Jewelers in the area and two of them stated it was a ceramic bracelet and they did not like to deal with them because they can break and are expensive. One other jeweler wanted to send it out to their other store and that could take 2 weeks to get it back. I went to Harris Jewelers and was helped by Patty Tammany who was AWESOME to deal with. She had my watched sized and back to me within minutes and then took the time to talk to me about other watches and showed me some in their store and I must say they have a nice selection and was told even more will be available around the holidays. I dont know what other people are talking about as far as service but I will absolutely be back to see Patty when looking for my next watch.
When possibly interested in selling jewelry the process and not clear and there is a lot of miscommunication. It officially turns into he say she say because no official documents are written up.
Elegant displays and all the variety of jewelry one could ask for. The staff were quickly attentive, friendly, and the service-OUTSTANDING. Ill be back.
First time visiting any jeweler and the service was GREAT! Ill be coming again.
These people have been very nice to me there are always willing to appraise stones or jewelry for free and they have a nice selection of product to look over, good watches and rings, necklaces and other jewelry. they were very kind to me when I brought in what I thought might be a diamond (nope) they even explained how I might be able to tell diamond from cubic zirconia in the future.
This is the place I come to when I need a jewelry repair, a watch battery changed, or a unique gift for someone. Ive been shopping here for over 15 years and never had a bad experience.
Today, my husband and I went into Harris Jewelers for the first time. We were greeted by a very nice woman willing to assist us. For some apparent reason, an older gentleman intervened and took over (I am not sure why as we were the only customers in there), so I am not sure if he was the owner or not. We specifically came in there to look at estate jewels and in particular were looking to see if there were any gold Rolex watches available. The older salesman condescendingly mentioned that the gold Rolex watches started at $15,000. I mentioned that we priced them new but wanted to see if can get a pre-owned one at a better cost. We kept looking around and then talked again about the Rolex watches and again the salesman indicated that they start at $15K. My husband then said money is not a problem. I said I am done and we got out. I am not sure who this guy thinks he is dealing with but he apparently does not know how to treat customers.
Highly recommended. My fiancé and I came in to pick out an engagment ring and absolutely had an amazing experience. He catered to our needs and eventually we were able to find exactly what we had in mind. After a poor experience with our first ring from a different store, it was refreshing to work with someone who knew their stuff.
Terrible, stay away. When I saw the quality of work on my engagement ring, I couldnt believe they had the audacity to send something out of their doors looking so terrible. The diamond was crooked and lopsided and the prongs were uneven and different sizes. Found out after having it looked at that they cracked the mounting as well. The owner is awful to boot, loves to hear himself talk and will talk right over top of you, even as youre trying to tell him to stop telling you about your ring because its supposed to be a surprise. Im now without my ring for a month while ArtCarved replaces the mounting.
The old man here is very creepy. Think his name is Ken.
