Rip off, won’t honor their word. Told they would take return for refund prior to purchase, then told only store credit. Thieves and liars.I was told, when I asked, if I could get a refund, Yes. I asked, explicitly because I wasnt sure if the item I purchased would work with my system and wanted to be able to return it. I was told that I could get a refund.In reality, it doesnt matter. The fact that you wouldnt give me a refund just goes to show how much your policy and attitude sucked. If you had just treated me right, I would have purchased way more from your store than just a 50$ preamp. I spend thousands on audio.

Went today for RSD. Great selection as always and team is on point ready to help with any need. Theres a reason theyve been around town for so long.

The atmosphere in this store is amazing. They have a huge selection of blu-rays and DVDs along with their phenomenal offerings in music. Their video game selection was much smaller but they had quality games for sale.The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

I go in here maybe once a week to trade in my old DVDs and get new ones the employees are SOOOO nice to talk to and they always enjoy talking about movies music and more / they have great prices and even better selection / there buy 3 get one free is also vary good ! / I read one star reviews for this place and half of them are bull Ive never had an experience anything other then great . You remember that contest in high school where you tried to drop an egg multiple stories without it breaking? Yellow Dog Discs is the champion of that contest. I wondered why my shipment came in such a large box. Its because it was nestled in the bosom of Yellow Dog Discs. They will be the first place I visit the next time Im in Wilmington.

I ordered a used CD from here and it came in the best packaging Ive seen in a while. There was even bubble wrap on the inside between the front jewel cover and the CD. Really respect the thoughtfulness that was put into it and would highly recommend it to anyone in the country.

I purchased through eBay at retail price, and the turnaround was incredibly fast. This was extra surprising considering the order shipped the week of the second Record Store Day drop of 2020. Packaging was perfect and the album arrived in immaculate condition. I will 100% be buying from them again, and I’ll be sure to shop in person if I’m ever in the area.

If you want vinyl records, then this is the place for you. They used to have a decent video game and CD collection, but it barely has anything now. Also, the music playing on the store speakers is absolutely terrible, and the vibe in here is really awkward.

Lots of vinyl choices, new and old. Cds, old school games too. I always find some great new stuff on vinyl. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Crazy insane choices on Record Store Day!

No where in Jacksonville had the new Marilyn Manson album. So my fiance calls Yellow Dog Discs and asks them if they have the We Are Chaos CD. They said yes. My fiance calls a second time to make sure they still have copies of the We Are Chaos CD before we drove from Jacksonville to Wilmington. He was told by a second person yes. We get to Yellow Dog Discs and the employees said they dont have the CD, they have the vinyl. BIG difference. Being employed there you would think they know the difference between a CD and a vinyl. Maybe they should actually listen to what their customers are saying and not brush people off. Thanks for wasting our time and gas.

I have not had a chance to visit the brick and mortar store itself (I am from MD) but have bought several times from Yellow Dog off of their online store. Let me say, these people know who to properly package and ship vinyl. A+++ I hope I have the opportunity to visit the store if I am in the area.

Really cool place. They have a very big selection of vinyl, and alot of used CDs as well. They also have a spot of pretty expensive and rare collectibles, and some retro games as well. Picked up a copy of an old ps2 game in there. And there was a cute old dog that pays around and wants pets, so what else could you ask for?

I love this place. The teenage kid that works there is a cool dead fan, and knows so much about so many different genres/bands. He always has great tunes playing. Great selection of discs, records, movies. Very fair prices too.

Clean and quiet place but no real organization... Everythings just kind of thrown together in alphabetical order. Why is Taylor Swift in the same section as Metallica? Hard to shop that way.

You guys had my favorite game as a kid! When I got it, it was scratched beyond repair. Ive tried numerous repair methods as its my all time favorite and I havent played it in years. Im livid. Im never ordering anything here again, have a good day.

Three stars because I dont tend to find anything Im looking for personally, but thats more because its a community store and I have really niche tastes. It would probably be 4 stars to you if you collect records and funko-- they have a ton of good quality ones!

An excellent source for new and used CDs, vinyl records DVDs, Blu-Ray, etc. I usually only look for music but they do have a huge selection of DVDS and games.The staff is friendly and very helpful.I would have given 5 stars but they dont always have what Im looking for though they can sometimes order it.

During the COVID-19 quarantine, I purchased a video game through the online website and had it shipped to my house in the mountains. It arrived super fast and I couldnt be happier!!

Just began coming here and ordering CD’s a few weeks ago. Wonderful store with a wonderful employee! Amanda is so caring and sweet always making me feel welcome. I will most definitely be coming back.

Went here for Vinyls, and honestly I was amazed with the selection they had! Plus, the store customer service was great! They came right in and helped find what we were looking for. The dog was a added plus.

I have only gone in for their vinyls but have had all pleasant experiences. The prices on the records are absolutely fair! better then gravity records prices! they make it easy to find what you are looking for and they can always look-up their inventory if you know what you are looking for. they will order, hold and update on face book new arrivals. My second time in the store a clerk remembered me and the album I had asked about my previous visit, he had just got the record in and handed it right to me!

I was devastated a couple of years ago when best buy told me they were phasing CDs out... So then I found yellow dog and have been very pleased. Awesome selection and very reasonable prices. If youre coming here for video game stuff its very hit or miss but as far as old music goes these guys are the best in town.

This is easily the best record store in Wilmington. They have a very large selection of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, and video games. Their prices are also much more reasonable than the other record shops in town. Their staff is also very polite and helpful. Definitely worth stopping by.

Man this place sux. Been shopping here for 20 years. I moved away 5 years ago and have been popping in when I visit home. In that time I have met many rude employees and they always have some reason they are not doing trade ins. Never even get to show them what I have. Never going back. If you have game stuff just go to Game Giant. You will get more for it and no BS.

I love going here for records, the staff knows what I like and always have good suggestions for me on the new and updated stock. Awesome place! Its getting harder and harder to find places that sell CDs anymore and I still listen to them regularly. Thats fine that vinyl is making a comeback and I listen to that as well but I still like my CDs better. They have a great selection of jazz which is what I like. Prices are even better! With most places looking to get rid of CDs its good to have a place that is still dedicated to making them available. Thanks Yellow Dog

I accomplished what I wanted to do here. I went with 4 stars because even though it was not a bad experience, just no one would talk to me. This place has pretty much what you are wanting, from dvds, video games CDs and vinyl! Just dont expect to be asked questions like can i help you or finding everything okId still go back...the customer service thing isnt a deal breaker for me.
