Friendly staff. I had tires replaced here, so I cant speak to the oil change side of things. For tires, I was called when they arrived. I set up the appointment, dropped off the car in the morning and it was ready just a few hours later. They called me twice to remind me and I picked it up before they closed.Great service, a rare thing at most Walmarts. I bought to tires on Walmart.com and then had them shipped to the store. Just paid for installation and it was exactly what they told me over the phone. No surprises.
I had my oil changed and lube service for high mileage vehicle and they failed to fill the windshield washer fluid. Also they didnt put a reminder sticker on my windshield. But the guy that I talk to was real cool and helpful.
I qawas here Friday 5/14/21 at 11:00 AM and let me tell you their crew is amazing. Walmart online screwed up my order and I was in a bind needing to go on vacation next day. They spent 45 minutes with me talking to everyone in various departments for me to make happen what needed to make sure I got a refund so I could get other comparable tires same day. The tires were professionally balanced and installed in less than an hour still honoring my appointment at 11:00 even thought at that point it was 11:45. Top notch service. I hope the crew gets the recognition they deserve because none of what they did was required. They truly cared about helping and sadly that is not the standard now a days.
Got an full synthetic oil change and basic check up on the vehicle. Great price for a synthetic oil, change.
Friendly workers. Very poor service. 2 bad experiences with oil changes. Worth a few extra dollars to go somewhere to have someone who knows what their doing work on your vehicle. They fixed the issue however. Which is a plus, but the 1st encounter they tried to charge us the 2nd time around for fixing something they did wrong. Just make sure you check your vehicle out after they work on it. The Lady there today stated someone just payed $1,600 for work on their truck, and they managed to mess up big time by putting on the wrong size parts ect. Also openly stated a bunch of the new workers dont know what their doing yet. Just a friendly heads up!

Paid to have my oil changed at the on in Winder, just to get into my car and find out they did not fill the washer fluid for my windows like it said it was on the receipt, nor did they reset my alarm that goes off telling me that I need my oil changed. They said they did all of this but the question i have is what did they do really? I tried it out will not be back. I should have just stayed at the damn place I was at. At least I know that everything would have been done, especially with the money that I just paid.
The hours are incorrect, on Sundays they do not open at 7:00 am
Great place and customer service . I went to get a new battery, but they were booked for a couple hours so I think Chris the manager told me to come back after 12 or 1pm when the rest of his crew would be there and then it wouldnt take so long. Came back around 1pm and one of the mechanics called me by name as I drove up to the door. Thats really good service.
Apparently they can close whenever they feel like. Came in at 2:45 on a Friday with 3 cars in front of me and they turned me away because they were closing at 5. Take your business elsewhere. You’ll be happier.
I went in two separate days to get two tires put on and was told that Id have to wait 3 hours. So, my third day, at 7am when they opened was first in line! I thought itd be quick...I was wrong! An hour and a half later and Im done finally, at least I thought so. I met the guy outside and he informed me that one of my front tires was going on the wrong direction. Mind you, I just had them put the front tires on the week before! So he says to me that if hed noticed it while it was still on the track, he wouldve just changed it. Geez! He pulled it back in and changed it. So, two hours later and finally two tires put on. I wont be doing any business here again!
They told me it would be an hour - an hour & a half & they finished in an hour. Super friendly. Gave me a list of a couple things that I needed to replace (tires) & then they were super sweet & vacuumed out my car for me! I was very satisfied & will continue to get oil changes here!
We own Homestar Pest Solutions in Winder, Ga and our fleet is always in great shape, thanks to the Automotive department at Wal-Mart. The prices and techs are great!
From experience, not all Walmart Auto service centers are the same. I do most of my own maintenance and car repairs but like everyone else take the cars in for tires. I watch the service guys, the guy who mounted my tires was very meticulous. He used a torque wrench, didnt just buzz the nuts on with a pneumatic wrench. He also perfected the air pressure and neatly stowed the spare back away. He is a true professional, I hope they can afford to keep him. I would drive back out there to avoid the useless thugs at the Auto center in Stone Mountain.
Ridiculous today!!! They absolutely do not care what they are doing. Personal conversations while people are waiting for LONG periods of time. If I hadnt bought road hazard for my tire, I would have driven away after waiting an hour and seeing other peoples being worked on first!
Decent service,but NEVER timely. Asked about time yesterday to get 2 new front tires and was satisfied with their guesstimate. There was an elderly, handicapped person and a two yr old with me so this was important .... it ended up being about a two hour wait which is not what the amount of time given to me was....needless to say,I had 2 very cranky people with me and in turn I ended up in a bundle of nerves !!!
Just wanted to get tires put on, got put on hold for an hour while trying to arrange this and was never gotten back with.Edit (1 star -> 2 stars): Called back, got a different person to answer the phone and actually help me, 2-3 hours for a tire installation.
They never ever have enough staff. I was told 4 hours for a tire rotation with 2 cars in front of me. They did not care to help me at all. Zero customer service. I went somewhere else thank goodness.
Took a car battery in for replacement under warranty. Got my battery replaced but was told the remaining 1 year free replacement and 2 years of pro rate warranty were voided. I could not return it if there was another problem. They didnt volunteer this info either. I asked about when the warranty date would expire because they had printed out something and were pointing and talking covertly about it.I paid for the most expensive possible battery in order to get that much better warranty and they cancelled it as soon as I used it. This is same way their tire tread life warranty was handled when I complained about excessive wear on 80,000 mile tires with only 15,000 miles on them. They replaced two, and told me I couldnt get any more replaced if they wore out prematurely.As other reviewers note, getting an oil change at this location is a nightmare of extended wait times. Theyve damaged or destroyed two engines to my personal knowledge by starting vehicles that had no oil in them. The number of times they stripped out lug nuts can be heard about by anyone willing to stop at MasterTech Auto on Candler St and ask. (They used to repair all those damaged cars). Its probably worth checking all of them yourself, or having a mechanic do so, as they wont tell you they damaged it unless they absolutely have no other choice.Its not do business here at your own risk. There is no risk. There is an absolute certainty that they will break something, they will lie to you about a warranty, they will charge your for extras that you will never receive, or they will sell you a defective, quite possibly already once returned item at full price and will blame you when something goes wrong.Literally anywhere else in Winder is better, and faster. Probably cheaper too once you factor in return trips, damaged vehicles and services paid for but not rendered.
Done in the promised amount of time. The salesman was very helpful and friendly. He also made sure to save me money. Great service all around.

This place sucks Sooo bad. Believe what you read about it. Came in last night to get a tire replaced and they turned me away bc they were understaffed. Came in next am to get it done... (I have a warranty on tire here so thats why I came back.) I spent over 30 mins while the lady at the desk looked for the info... Then said I would have a LONG wait... Which I agreed too, since this was my second time back. Then after all that came back to tell me they had no tires for me. What a waste of time. I just went somewhere else and ate the hundred bucks. Seriously do not waste your time.
Not really bad to go to Wal-Mart for oil changes. Just really slow and they are extremely under staffed I went to get a battery swapped out it took 45 minutes then you had people waiting 4 hours for an oil change.i get my oil changed at Wal-Mart and I have no issues its just that you to call ahead on the wait time.
Ruined my brand new car seats. Went to get my oil changed, left an oil mark. They attempted to clean and left an even bigger stain. Had to return the next day to see the manager and was told to get quotes on fixing it. So spent my day off attempting to get this done only to find out my whole seat would need to be replaced or re covered because of the type of car seats I have. So now I have a brand new car, ruined seat knocking the value down and currently waiting to see how they will make this right..
Super super dissatisfied. Arrived at 8:30 for 8 am appt. (Due to traffic.) for 2 new tires to be installed. At 9 am. Manager Kelli, said after flat was repaired for BMW (that they moved my car for to fix,) I would be next. 1.5 hours later, they have not pulled my car back into bay. Awful awful awful customer service. Not returning to this store again.
Immediately (Im talking less than a minute after I had pulled up) they were telling me I had a nail in my tire, it was not repairable, and that the leak was a fast one. They insisted I needed a new one. Had them put the spare on and took my tire to Discount Tire. It was a slow leak and it was repairable. First and last time I go to this Walmart for oil or tire rotations. They will try to scam you if you are a female and alone. Its a shame. My Walmart back in Harker Heights, Texas had honest workers.
The wait for JUST an oil change was almost 4 hours long. Would not recommend.
Semi friendly service but super slow on a good day. Got here when they opened but it is now over two hours and they still haven’t finished rotating and balancing my tires.
If you got your service done here. You mind as well do yourself a favor and send it to the junk yard. The service here sucks more than a McDonald’s drive thru. My 10 year old could’ve done a better job and he doesn’t know anything about cars. Another words, those mechanic have a brain the size of a Baby that hasn’t even been born yet. These machanic are the type to get hit by a ranch and think that the sky if falling. Even if my tire gets flat down the road from this place, I’ll walk my ass to get help somewhere else. They probably would tell me my transmission went out..Walmart is a grocery store and it just simply needs to stay that way. Yes, I’ve been fool but never again..Even if your budget is tight, take it somewhere else..Don’t believe me and you too will be writing a one star review.

Probably not the best place to get oil changed Saturday afternoon. Manager seemed overworked and understaffed. She was not very friendly, seemed irritated and tired. After 45 minutes she called and said they dont carry 10w30 high mileage Castrol in the shop so will cost $9 more to get the oil off the shelf. Turns out they were out of it on the shelf so finally went with regular Valvoline for same price as High Mileage, then at checkout charged $5 more, because it takes 6 qts. They did what they could with what (and who) they had to work with. We got 2 batteries there last year and they were absolutely awesome. Go figure.

Two days in row Ive come to this store to purchase a set of tires and have them installed only to be met with excuses of being already booked up. I wont be back for a third.
Understaffed. Overworked. 4 hours there and had to take my vehicle into the bay 3 times to fix their mess ups.....and almost let me drive sea with a very big problem. Manager got it handled and apologized.
Had my oil changed two times in a row then went back to my regular guy and he stated that the filter hadnt been changed in a while. He showed me my filter and he showed me another that he had just changed just like mine and it defiantly appeared as if they never changed it funny seeing as it takes an hour after they start on your car to change the oil....
