This was my first trip to an AAA Car Care Center and I’m not sure that I would return, especially not to this one. I figured I would make use of being a AAA member.I went in for a state inspection and the Inspector Mechanic Alexis Severino-Pena, failed my inspection. The representative that checked me in informed me that tie rod ends needed to be removed and replaced along with an alignment in order to pass inspection. The estimated cost for that service was $500.This seemed a bit odd as I previously had my car serviced last month and nothing was mentioned related to this being needed.I traveled to a local Firestone 48 hours later for a second opinion and to reattempt inspection and passed just fine with only an additional charge for having tint on my vehicle. I received a list of recommendations for the best functionality of my car from Firestone, which was greatly appreciated but those service recommendations were not required for passing State inspection.Just imagine if I hadn’t went with my gut, I would have paid $500+ verses the $23 I paid for the initial attempted inspection with AAA & $40 for the second passed inspection with Firestone.Either Alexis didn’t know what she was doing, or this center was trying to get over on a new customer to their center.So much for trying something new, but thank God for Honest & reliable Firestone. Looks like AAA is best for roadside assistance!

My experience with them was a great one, truly love the fact they give a detailed explanation about both my vehicles. And a time frame when they would be done along with pictures showing what was wrong. If any more problems come up, I will do business with them again.

My car stalled in the turning lane of a major intersection. I was grateful for the prompt, efficient service I received from the AAA customer service person when I called. The driver of the tow truck was professional as well. This was a Friday night and at my request, he drove my car to your garage. I was surprised to hear from a mechanic the next morning since it was Saturday. He did a diagnostic and texted a comprehensive report of all the issues with my car as well as the need for a new alternator. Although the price of the alternator seemed a bit high, I was grateful to get my car back that same day. I would rate this shop 4.5 out of 5 stars.

My old dying 1992 likes to whine for attention so I’ve had it towed to AAA several times in the past month.Each time Garrett answered my call and each time it was the best experience. This company is a joke. I work for a towing company and AAA has no prob leaving you sitting on the side of the road for 4 to 6 hours before they call for a tow truck. If it was me I would keep a hundred dollars back just for a tow. Dont have to wait for hours in the cold or heat for someone else to send you help .

Whether you need your 🚗 car repaired, or help in booking travel AAA Winston-Salem is your one-stop shop. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable from the travel agents to the front desk workers in the auto repair shop. Their auto repair prices are fair and no one is trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Whether you need an oil change or tires they have you covered. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking and restroom.

I had been a AAA member for over 20+ years. I was canceled because I had more tows in a year than in all my years with this company. Until now I have always respected AAA. One year does not make a bad customer. Also why would AAA not try to keep you with a bit of a cost increase in my membership. Because they like most insurance is their not for you. Just to profit. That I totally understand. But obviously an enormous one. AAA today is not what it was!

My car was towed and told them to bring it to Triple AAA. Triple AAA people diagnosed it and it was the transmission, I agreed to have it replaced. My car stayed there for 4 days. The guy who fixed it said” They got it the running, all fixed”. I went to get my car and drove it home. While driving it I noticed the the stick was not really working well. When I got home, the engine would turn off but the dashboard was not. I have to drive it around to have it aligned so the car would turn off including the dashboard. I did not take it back to Triple AAA because it was 4 pm and they were closed. Took it Monday, Michael drove it around and could not figure out whats wrong with it. I did not tell him that the stick is not making a good alignment when I put it on drive or park, thinking He would noticed it because He is a mechanic! He went to youtube to checked whats wrong with my car. He even changed the battery of my car key, thought that was the problem. Stayed for an hour and He could not diagnosed it . He did not open hood or even checked if they did the transmission correctly. So I decided to take my car at Honda and said it was the shifter. They have to replaced the shifter. I called Triple AAA and told them that they did not do it right and caused the problem, But Michael said it was another problem. They don’t want to admit their mistake but admitted that they don’t know anything about car computers😂 So I to paid a a lot of money for my transmission and shifter replacement caused by their inefficiency. Pls. If you want to do a major fix to your car don’t bring it to Triple AAA bring it where you bought the car.I should took it to Honda instead of triple AAA, LESSON learned! I am not really sure if they all know what they are doing. Go see them for band aid fix but for a truly car service just bring your car to the dealership. It was totally wrong that I brought my car to triple AAA.

Every time I come in for an oil change they say my vehicle needs more repairs done. I took the list of the suggested repairs to a trusted mechanic and he said they were not needed and I was lied too. They also screwed up my inspection and had to go back a second time for them to enter correctly in there computer

This past weekend we were driving 400+ miles to see family. The week prior my car had been in my local AAA Car Care for multiple items (serpentine belt, coolant, oil change, etc.) 150 miles into our drive after hearing scraping sound we pulled over to the side of the road and saw something was dragging from the undercarriage. We called the Winston Salem AAA Car Care which was 35 miles away and explained the situation. They said they could fit us in. We arrived and within 5 minutes the staff had pulled my car in and started to see what was going on. The staff were attentive, professional, helpful and were able to get us back on the road in under a half hour. I am so thankful for the staff at the Winston Salem AAA Car Care for coming to our rescue!

I was very pleased on my first appointment when I went for an oil change. They identified a problem with my rear brakes and were able to fix that too in a relatively short amount of time. I went back three days later to have my car inspected. Although it passed, the report showed two items that need attention.....one was a picture of my oil saying it was dark in color and showed a picture of the dark oil. When I called to question, Rob said he was sure the oil had been changed and suggested I do some kind of flush the next time. I was not interested in him selling me another service, my question was about the recent visit. He assured me that my oil had been changed and just said the picture was a mistake. I asked him to correct my records and he said their system didnt allow that

My 2009 Nissan Murano broke down on the highway. I had AAA tow it to the AAA service center on Stratford road. Terry was an excellent communicator in giving me a breakdown of my costs. He even went ahead a put another compressor on the vehicle. It went out the previous week. The turnaround time on getting my Nissan back was less than 24hrs. I definitely recommend this location. The mechanical service was great but I did not the sense of humor of the desk clerk, and on the commercial it states AAA will clean your car to stop the spread of COVID it didnt happen! Also I was told they had transportation to take you home while your car is being serviced, but they lied they wanted to call a Uber !!!

I called a couple weeks ago and spoke to a guy about traveling to Phoenix. I wish I knew his name. Very helpful and friendly. Called again at 9 am Friday and spoke to Abbie. Unfriendly. Acted like she was doing me a favor. She took my travel information. She said she would call me back. No return call. I followed up in late afternoon. She had no information. . She said she was working with others. I ask her to email me the information. Its Sunday and no information. This is unacceptable customer service. I have been a customer over 20 years. I am so disappointed. Abbie needs some training on customer service and a helpful attitude. I would not recommend AAA Winston Salem office. You never know what kind of service you will receive.

This is my new go-to repair shop! Im not sure why I went anywhere else before. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The prices are fair (especially for AAA members) and most of all, they are honest.I brought in a car Im planning to sell and just wanted to address a few small issues. They were very judicious in the repair recommendations and made suggestions based on what made sense for my situation - not what contributes to their bottom line.I like that it is owned by AAA directly and not a franchise so there really isnt any motivation for the employees to try and cheat or over-sell anyone.They have a courtesy van and the waiting room is clean and has free coffee (with actual cream, not just the powdered stuff!). I picked up a couple of old school paper maps at the travel center (since they are free for AAA members and in case of the zombie apocalypse or google maps is down) and the folks over there seemed super friendly as well.Highly recommended!

I have to say that I was a bit skeptical of coming to this location because of the reviews. I didnt have a appointment with the location I just showed up with my issues with my Dodge Ram Truck. Come to find out the Crew that works there was very understanding and friendly. The customer service representatives were helpful and very nice to every customer that came in for service. I got to talk to the mechanic that was working on my truck and he seemed very knowledgeable of his job. Tom the store manager at this location is a great person to work with he went over and Beyond his job today to help me out. I would recommend this location to anyone. I will return. I want to add that the store itself is a clean environment. I seen how they take care of their people as well as their store. while I was monitoring them with plans to review them later after I left. You should give this location an opportunity to show you that most of these reviews are BS. Keep Up The Good Work AAA Car Center.

Always first class service with regard to the Travel Department. All of the customer service representatives are top shelf. If you are looking for stateside travel Erika is a pro at designing local trips. Our international travel experiences have gone without a hitch. AAA is a world class organization and they do a great job of networking with other offices when travel is outside the local expertise. They can easily handle corporate group travel as well.

She was very kind and patient and followed through with information about the repairs in a timely fashion. I was also given transportation to and from the center. They towed my 86 year old moms car in for no start, pretty sure all it needed was new plugs. Her bill was an insane $625 😡 Get this...it was $99.36 for parts (6) plugs..that’s $16.56 EACH !! Labor to unscrew 6 spark plugs and put new ones in was $139.70 !!!! That’s $29.28 EACH !!! $239.06 total for plug swap !! Oil is $3.70 a quart, $65.68 total for an oil change !! However, they gave us $10 off. (Wow) And, their worker actually told me (I’m a mechanic also since 1980) the car had lost compression because there was no oil on cylinders 🚫 so I asked him “so you guys changed the oil and the compression magically came back?” His reply was “well, yea ?!” like it was a silly question. And...her oil was just fine, she religiously always got 5000 mile change. They got my elderly mom with their crazy inflated prices, shop around before agreeing !!

I understand that were in the oandemic crise, but this is RIDICULOUS. As a membership of AAA i thinks that never shoub bd happens. They are awesome, from day one when I first talk to Micah on the phone he was very helpful, I know I called and went there several times to get my car fix and he always remember who I was and was very polite, never seem as if he was tired of talking to me. Everyone there is very friendly and awesome but being that I work with Micah the most I have to say he deserves employee of the month because he was GREAT!!! I never experience so much great customer service in any place. I cannot speak for anyone else experience but with me being a women and knows nothing about a car he was so helpful explaining the process until my car was back on the road. I wish it was a 10 star and they would of got that from me. Glad I did not go anywhere else.

I was here under duress on Saturday morning. My battery died (and I was going to replace it in one month!!!) and AAA on Stratford was about the only place open. No worries. The guys were great and replaced my bettery pretty quickly. Now, with my car (a 2013 Chrysler 200) that is not as easy as it sounds. The battery is behind the wheel well (spelling?) on the driver side. Anyway, they took care of it and I was back on the road!

If my car needs to be towed in the future, never again will I have it towed to this service center, which provided the worst service imaginable. After the initial estimate of 45 minutes to an hour that it would take to get my car inside to diagnose, I sat in the waiting room and after an hour I was informed it would be longer (no definite time) than that. After three and a half hours, my car had not been moved from the place where the tow truck dropped it off, nor was there any sense of urgency by the service center personnel. I was told that there were many cars stacked up back there. Not having any hope of anyone even looking at my car before closing time, I opted to have my car towed to the place I should have gone to begin with, in High Point. Clearly this place doesnt care about losing business, I guess they have all they need. And they were going to charge $99 just to diagnose the issue, so they not only lost that $99 but whatever the repair bill would have been. My biggest issue is the misrepresentation and lack of communication. Had I known they were too busy to bother with me, I would not have had my car towed there in the first place. Shortly after my car arrived at Brentwood Service Center in High Point, I received a phone call informing me of the problem. They have already ordered the part to be shipped overnight and will fix tomorrow morning. Thats excellent service. AAA on Stratford Road is a poor example of customer service.

Ive been a AAA member for a long time which is why I expected more from a garage backed by them. I went to them twice now to get work done and for the annual inspection.Unfortunately, they are like most shops - offering unnecessary repairs and trying to take advantage of customers. They told me my battery needed placing immediately; I went to autozone right after and they said my battery was fine. I understand that garages need to make a profit. But Im sick of having to say no 5 times before I can pay my bill. Especially for unnecessary repairs.On a separate note, I had my brakes replaced by them The initial repair did not go well and the brakes caught on fire. I will say that they took care of me after that happened and made sure to fix the problem correctly. However, it was not clear whether they used brand name parts like they were supposed to They do offer a 12000 mile/24 month warranty on their parts to AAA members, so I imagine it would be in their own interest to use good parts. Especially since they charge about 150% more than other nearby shops.At any rate, I wanted to like this garage, but dont think you are getting AAA service just because its in their name.

Always confident with any AAA service and have never regretted being a member. With that said, their auto repair costs are higher than I like to pay so I dont use the service centers as a general rule. However, when time and distance are a factor, I go to AAA service centers. I am a loyal member of AAA and the only bill I have on auto pay! The Stratford Rd. location staff were courteous, professional, and very accommodating as expected with AAA service. I was charged 1000.00 for upper and lower ball joints, and sway links was told that basically my suspension on the front needed to be rebuilt and it would take 7 hours to do so. I was also charged for nuts that the tow truck driver took off to get my vehicle on the truck and they were in the vehicle my car is still not fixed properly took it in again and it is still not fixed. Thomas Hand the general manager was very arrogant in our negotiation and stated they would not refund any portion of my money but I could bring the vehicle back for a third time. I dont trust them and if the bbb doesnt work something out I will just take a loss.

Although I LOVE LOVE LOVE the staff here...I find the prices to be too high and I ALWAYS have to wait the ENTIRE DAY to get my car because.... even if I have an appointment scheduled, it takes over five hours to do a job on A TOYOTA MATRIX. A couple of months ago my driver side window fell through. I was it needed a new regulator arm...OKnp, it cost me over 300 and a month later the NEW WINDOW feel thru the door... And if course... It took ALL DAY to replace. Cant WAIT to get my new car.. So done with AAA.. Going comprehensive insurance from now on. All I DO know is.. If ANYTHING FISHY had been going on operating to me and my car..What goes on in the DARK will surely be brought to the LIGHT💞💕🌸

My elderly father had been having trouble with his car not starting (he doesnt drive it very often), and since he is a AAA member I drove him here to have his battery checked. The staff there actually came out to the car and gave it a thorough diagnosis while we stayed in the car. Ended up the battery was fine, he just needed to run the car every now and then to keep it charged. After they had finished, I handed them his AAA card and they said not to worry about it!

I was driving my car Saturday Morning stopped at a light and it just died, would not turn back on. Called AAA, they responded quickly, towed me to the AAA Service Center, where they replaced the battery and alternator and had me on my way quickly. There was a nice clean lounge with computers, TV, free wifi and free coffee. Great Customer Service and I will happily do business with them again.

For car repair, theres nobody better than these folks. They give you honest, straight forward information about your car. If a repair is going to be costly, they explain why and give you the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want. My experience here has been very disturbing! I am not a AAA member, but my parents are. Being a single mom my parents have given me coupons, that were sent to them, to save me money. I have been here twice for oil changes. The first time was ok, the man that helped was nice and courteous. Evidently they check over your car. After about 30min the man came and told me my car was overall in good condition it did need a few routine things, nothing major. When I paid for my oil change an older man was yelling at the employees and especially arguing with a lady that works there. It was very uncomfortable and other customers felt the same way. More recently, I went back, about 4 months after my first visit, and the same lady that was arguing with the man helped me. After about 45min she came to discuss some issues with my car. First thing I noticed when she started talking to me is she smelled of liquor! She explained to me that my car was unsafe to drive and needed $3000 of work. This really scared me. I cant afford this. I was shaking when I left. I talked to my brother and he has a friend that is a mechanic. He got my car and took it for him to look at. He said it could use some routine stuff but was not unsafe. The way I felt leaving AAA I felt that my car was about to fall apart and kill me and my kids. Ill never go back not even if oil changes were free!

I had a problem with my car and called AAA in the hopes that someone would come look at it, but they sent a tow truck, which is whatever. They took my car to the their repair center and said that they would look at it tomorrow. I live in Boone, so that was really not good for me. I managed to get back home and came back down to pick my car up again today. The problem I had with my car was that it was puttering out going uphill, like there was no gas or like the alternator was dead. I also could not get the hood open, the latch broke or something and made it impossible to raise. I already has problems with power steering belts. Anyway, they looked at my car on the next morning and called me to say that they could not simulate the problem and that I needed $1000 worth of work to replace belts that looked like they had never been replaced in my 14-year-old car, and that just having them run the diagnostic was going to be $100, which they later changed to $60 for whatever reason. I told them, no, I am not paying for any belts or anything without another opinion. By the way, the belt in question had been replaced 50k miles ago. I went to pick up my car expecting to pay $60 for them doing nothing other than driving my car around. I approach my car to immediately notice a decent sized dent in the side, right below the gas cap door thing. I know for a fact that it was not there when I filled up my gas on the morning that my car was towed. The guy said it was probably from the tow truck ride. They wanted me to pay them for doing nothing but denting my car! The manager was nice enough to cover the diagnostic cost and I didnt have to pay them at all. After I left I noticed that my hood was still stuck shut, so Im pretty sure that they didnt even look at the belts at all, unless they looked from underneath my car. Also, the problem they could not simulate immediately came back when I was driving home. So, to recap, they dented my car, drove it around to see if they could replicate the issue and found nothing, wanted to charge me for this diagnosis, and also lied to me about my belts in hopes of milking money out of me. I love the towing service and roadside help, but this AAA experience left me furious and I will not be a returning customer to the repair center!

I am very happy with the service I received on 4/12/14. I was an honest estimate for my repair costs before anything was done, and the employee I worked with was very happy to work with me and explain which repairs would be most beneficial to my vehicle. I have never had good service in the past which mechanics, some even making my car worse than when I brought it in. I dont plan on going anywhere else from now on!

This establisment is worth, at minimum, seven stars. Their representatives have always been professional, specifically a man named Micah, whom Ive dealt with the last two times I had to have my vehcile towed in for repair. He deserves his own, separate five star rating. Im also greatly impressed with their system for keeping their customers updated through SMS on the progress of their vehicles repairs. Keep up the good work, Triple A.

Update: I spoke with the Car Care Centers Regional Manager, Matt. Matt was very professional, understanding, and listened without interrupting. This gentleman in one conversation, has changed my outlook about having compassion for the situation and taking in to consideration the entire matter. I just want to say thank you Matt!My experience with this Car Care Center was less than stellar. I had my young sons car towed in, he has an older car. It was having overheating issues. We had it towed in. The towing staff, awesome! The Car Care Center, another story. I had them do a diagnostic test for the overheating issue which they stated they did. They stated that the cooling fan wasnt working it needed a thermostat and a complete flush and all other codes conducted by the diagnostic came back clear. 24 hours later my sons car was experiencing the same issues that I thought I had paid the 300.00 to correct. We were told today that they had to do a different diagnostic test and that the wires on his car had melted due to the overheating issue we had initially taken it in for. They told me that it would cost and additional 156.00 for them to repair an issue that should have been noticed just 24 hours prior. I asked to speak with a manager and I explained that I did not mind paying for the parts 91.00 for spark plug wires, however, as a consumer their car care professionals should have noted this issue not to mention our time out of our day to bring the car back. He offered me 5.00 off the new diagnostic. The manager also started to raise his voice and told me his technicians dont work for freenot considering I too am employed and that had the issue been resolved initially we would not be having this conversation. The manager was very disrespectful, unprofessional and not helpful to someone who had trusted them has the car care professionals they claim to be. I would caution anyone about doing business with this company. Please do your research. If they mention they gave you a diagnostic, I now know its best to ask what they diagnosed because you could be paying again in less than 24 hours. Beware!

They did my car inspection and everything pass and they FAILED it because they want me to pay for a fan belt that I dont want or need. They shouldt be able FAIL my car on what they think. I will take this to a higher level. John Moore

I have been a member of aaaCarolinas for 20 years. Put my son on when he turned 16. We only used it a couple of times in the first 18 years. My son had to use it 4 times in the last year and they cancelled him. I called and they said he used it to much. It cost them a little bit of money. They didnt take into consideration all the years we did not use them. Oh and they banned him permanently. And I only gave them 1 star so I could post it.
