The people are very friendly. But boy are the slow as can be !! I basically sold myself the car. The main helpful person was Mr. Anthony the can detailer 😑 he literally walked me to the car showed in inside and did a job that wasn’t his. And mind you I already was financed so it should have definitely been a in and out process! If you have about 4 days to get a car this is your place one day to look one day to find a sales person and 2 days for finance 🤦🏾‍♀️ (Even with being already financed through your bank) THEY NEED FAST PEOPLE WITH ENERGY LORD BLESSUM

Nice cars at good prices but buying can take hours. Toyotas, Nissans,Chevys and more. No Hondas when I was there. If third party loan youll have to get a buyers sheet with deal terms then get a physical certified check from your lender. They do not accept transfers. Will take credit cards up to $3000. If trading in bring title and registration. Have the phone number of your insurance so you can add the new car at the dealership.

Just purchased a 2018 Rogue from the great folks at Hertz Car Sales. Eric G was very laid back and helpful on our first visit for the test drive -- no pressure, no stress. When we decided to purchase, he helped us get everything lined up with our credit request, got the car over for detailing & inspection, and had it ready to go in no time for pickup. Keith took great care of us when completing our financial paperwork and had us in and out in no time.The only challenge we experienced was the high customer volume they had during our visit. It took a few minutes to get moving, but we had several staff members approach us to ensure that we were being helped -- cant ask for more than that!Great staff and a quality car that were very excited to have for the long term!

Dont waste your time. I never been to a car dealer that had cars on the lot for sale but I was told that they did not have the keys for most of the cars. Especially the cars that I wanted to see inside or test drive. One dealer came out of the door and said dont look at the car and said that it was already taken. I said I was just looking and no need for him to make that statement. I will never drive 4 hours around trip to visit any Hertz Cars for sales and the un-professionalism that was directed at me personally. It you are selling cars, you should sale to everyone and not just a select few of people that you may be holding the cars for when you told me that you do not hold cars. Dont advertise cars that you can not or will not sell to certain people. I called 1st to make the sure the car that I selected was there before I drove there, then I get there and I was told they dont have the keys to open it. What do you think of this; anyone, please respond.

BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!! Probably once of the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had ! I wanted to tag my car in another state it’s been 60 DAYS and I still don’t have tags they dropped the ball and no one has answers. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB and I’m calling corporate this is outrageous and discusting. The receptionist is extremely unprofessional and rude the manager and very unknowledgeable and the sales guys is doing his best but is unsure also. So yeah I’m in another state with my second set of temp tags and paid registration but they dont know what’s going on with there 3rd party who does the tags BEWARE DONT GO HERE !!

Had the same experience as the previous person. Dozens of cars on the lot and they couldnt find keys for a couple cars I asked about or I got the line about this car or that car arent for sale. Then why have all these cars on the lot and not be for sale?! On top of the that, I left my info and they said they would get back to me when the cars were available. THAT WAS 2 DAYS AGO AND NOT EVEN A COURTESY CALL BACK. Guess theyre not really trying to sell cars and all this is just for show for their shareholders.WASTEOFTIMEDONT BOTHER GOING THERE.Btw, this is the location in Winston Salem.

Had an interesting experience at Hertz. I’m providing info for anyone considering a purchase to be aware. We test drove a vehicle on a Saturday afternoon and really liked it. We wanted our mechanic to inspect it first on Monday but we were told they don’t hold vehicles. We left to think more about it, and returned 3 hours later after the salesman told us we could put in the contract that purchase was contingent on mechanic inspection. After waiting almost an hour we were sent to Finance to sign papers.Final paperwork had no mention of the mechanic inspection or other items the salesman told us we would get so we refused to sign until all was updated. The vehicle history report showed no accidents or red flags but when the Finance Manager heard we wanted an inspection he said let’s not go through redoing all this paperwork now and we’ll let your mechanic inspect it Monday. This was a nice offer but made me wonder if he expected our mechanic to find something.On Monday our mechanic inspection found evidence of significant painting to entire right side of vehicle. From right front wheel all the way to the back bumper had been re-painted as well as the framework under the doors had been re-painted. The metallic fleck in the paint did not match the original metallic fleck in the paint, and you could see a paint mismatch on the right side between doors. Keep in mind that any accident over $2,500 should show up on a vehicle history report and common sense suggests if an entire side of a vehicle was repainted it likely sustained more than $2500 in repairs. If I’m spending $24k on a 1-year old vehicle I prefer one that hasn’t sustained significant repair.The revealing part of this was when I returned the vehicle. I returned the keys to a different salesperson we had not spoken to without explanation. He asked if I wanted to talk to our salesperson and I said no but he is welcome to call me to discuss. I left the dealership without explaining why we didn’t want the vehicle. Nobody bothered to call me back to ask why we declined to purchase the vehicle. Not a call, no voicemail, no email, nothing.Based on the following items one would suspect they knew my mechanic would find an issue with this vehicle.1. Lack of follow up upon declining purchase of a $24K vehicle.2. The decision to stop going through all the paperwork upon my demand for contingency for a mechanic’s inspection.3. Allowing a hold on a vehicle after telling me they don’t hold vehicles for anyone.I’m thankful that we found another vehicle that passed my mechanic’s inspection. The point of this review is if a company as big as Hertz would sell a vehicle that has been significantly repainted with a clean vehicle history report, don’t ever buy a vehicle without a knowledgeable independent mechanic inspection.Everyone at Hertz was nice and it was a low pressure experience but don’t let those factors cause you to let your guard down.Also, I noticed that this vehicle we declined is still on their lot almost 3 weeks later.

Waited over an hour before we finally got a chance to be helped - and then another 30 minutes while they tried to find the key to the car I wanted to test drive. Ended up leaving and never got to even sit in the car I was looking at. I understand times get busy but it made for a frustrating hour and a half wasted.

Bought my first car here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not once feel pressured to purchase a vehicle. The prices of almost every vehicle is well below blue book value. The quality of the vehicles are great! Very few body/ cosmetic issues. Most cars have under 40k miles on them as well. Lots of inventory in every price range. Location can be hard to find as it is tucked away off from a side road. The financial staff was able to find me a better financing plan than my bank. The wait was a little longer than expected, due to new computer system having bugs. My new vehicle came with a Hertz warranty as well as the manufacturer warranty. Overall my experience was great. I will definitely be visiting them first for my next vehicle purchase.

Dont believe everything...anything....youre told. I found a car advertised for a good price at this Hertz dealer, but since i live over an hour away I emailed the dealership to ask about it. It was priced significantly lower than similar models so I asked Cody, the sales person who replied to me, why the vehicle was priced lower than another similar vehicle advertised. I also asked if had ever been smoked in. He replied it was due to mileage. I pointed out a more expensive one had more miles on it, he did not reply but it was late so I assumed he had gone home for the day. I emailed the next morning that we would travel to come test drive and purchase the car....no reply for a few hours, so I called. Another sales person, Ray, told me Cody had the day off. I asked him why the car was priced lower, he said probably condition or miles, they do the pricing in Kansas, Im not really sure, said he went to look at the car to be certain it was on the lot. My wife drove over an hour with my daughter to purchase the vehicle, it was for my daughter, only to find a vehicle with dozens and dozens of scratches ALL over the vehicle, a hole in the plastic below the drivers door and a small dent there as well, none of this had been mentioned by the sales person when asked about the condition of the vehicle or the pricing!!! All Cody had to do was be honest and upfront and I would have considered another vehicle on the lot at a higher price, but these dishonest and unethical sales tactics are inexcusable.

Please don’t let Cody be your salesperson. My husband and I found a car that was online, we drove an hour and a half to Winston Salem to look at a car that we saw online. Cody was not able to find the car, the customer service was horrible. No one could tell us where the car was even though the website said it was there and it hasn’t been sold. Cody left us sitting there and not updating us on the whereabouts of the vehicle. Don’t waste your time there!

This place is definitely worth checking out. Lots of solid vehicles at good prices. I would skip any extra maintenance or warranty stuff because I have read too many complaints about their service. But if you take your time you can find a good car here.

I had read the reviews of people having a hard time getting their tags. I mentioned it to the sales guys wondering if I could register my tags myself. He said some people have address issues where they have moved from where their license was issued and that has caused issues. So if your address is different than your license you should get that taken care of.That being said the car was a GREAT value and the buying process was very easy. Everything was clearly stated and I knew what the process was because it was well explained at the dealership. My salesman was Matt Miller and he seemed very much on the ball. The salesman that handled payment was Keith Terrell and he was great too. Dont buy a used car anywhere else!

Great cars at great prices. They are rentals, so there were stains and scratches and dents, but it is a rental so you can be somewhat assured that the maintenance is kept up where it really counts.It was very easy to test drive several cars on your own, the salesmen dont try to sell you on a car you dont want. Just be sure to take whichever car you ultimately want to an outside inspection place. The Hertz inspection missed very ancient (probably never replaced) air filters for the cabin and the engine. These were no big deal to buy and replace myself. Everything else about the vehicle was excellent.The finance guy is really shady in my opinion, and it was the only time I felt I was being sold on something I didnt want. We negotiated for a rate of 5% on my car loan and he really tried to sell us on a warranty we probably didnt need (save the $2000+ you would have spent for repairs).All in all, it was a good deal and relatively painless process. Getting the new license plate through them was not a problem for me, though it did take about 20 days because NC DMV is just so slow.

It was quite confusing never in my life have I worked so hard to give someone my money. Needless to say I took my money elsewhere. Called on Monday to purchase a van. We are over 3 hours from this location, as to the distance we were willing place a deposit through a charge card. This was not acceptable, we then suggested a wire transfer to purchase the vehicle. They would not accept that either, they would only accept a bank draft. So we started the process on Monday to purchase this vehicle, sent all information but the insurance. On Tuesday we sent our insurance information. We contacted them today on Thursday and was informed that the vehicle was sold on Monday. I have purchased vehicles from Wisconsin to Florida and have never dealt with a more unprofessional organization

Would Rate Lower if PossibleUnfortunately my wife and I never got the opportunity to purchase a vehicle from Hertz. We visited the lot on Saturday to view a SUV we had found online. Once we arrived we were told that a couple was already in the process of purchasing that vehicle. Seeing my wife upset the salesman (David Weaver) told us not to worry there was another SUV that was the next tier up with similar mileage for a similar price. He stated that it would be in that upcoming Tuesday and we would be called as soon as it was available to purchase. Being proactive I called that Monday and was told Sorry it is still being Certified. I was told that David was off and that Eric Mooney would be helping us. He took my number and told me the same message as David had. Tuesday i call again, only to be told that Matt Miller would be assisting us. He told me the same spill, and that the car most likely would be available by Wednesday. Wednesday I call at 10am, and again at 12pm, only to talk to other salesmen who continue to tell me Im going to take down your number and call you as soon as its on the way over. My wife calls Hertz that afternoon around 5pm not knowing I had already called them earlier that day. They proceed to take her number as well and relay the same message.Today, Thursday, I call and speak to a new Eric who informs me, That vehicle is gone, I sold it myself last night. Asking how this was possible as my wife and I had both been told 3 times that same day that this vehicle was not available and wouldnt be until Thursday or Friday? I was simply told, I made a phone call and they got it ready. You shouldnt talk to multiple salesmen because we dont all communicate.The kicker is I am now being told that We have another one on the way but it wont be ready until Tuesday, make sure to call back on Monday and I will let you know if it is ready.Waste of time. Will not be doing business with Hertz. I would not take anything they say as anything close to fact as they will sell from under you to the first friend that walks in the door.

Took my capital one auto navigator certificate and had interest rate of 4.93 for 60 months and sneaky finance guy says its higher because of my mediocre credit. i showed on my phone screen what it was. i ended up with 5.87 for 72 months because he slid in a $2000 warranty that i noticed on next to last paper at signing. capital one told me that what the screen said is right. watch out!! salesman Matt was nice. car is nice.UPDATE...1-28-2017.....signed paper on 12-9-2016 to cancel warranty. ...3 calls to finance guy...warranty company has never heard from hertz...cancelled myself. What a run around. This finance guy is SO shady!!!!

Once I found a car, they transferred us to the finance manager, Keith, who was very rude/sarcastic with us. When we stated Hertz’s interest rates were quite high, he rudely asked, “Well don’t you pay attention to the world around you?” One phone call elsewhere led us to find significantly lower interest rates. When we told him we didn’t appreciate his rude remarks, he admitted that he did mean them to be sarcastic.We surely cannot be the only people Keith has made rude remarks to and he probably loses Hertz business.Despite us “not paying attention,” we noticed a few contradictions: they told us they would not hold the car when I went to my bank for a loan (FAR lower interest) and then they held it after the encounter with the financial manager.Also, I had to wait 40 minutes to be seen and sign the paperwork to pick up the car. I probably should have left on principal and not bought the car. I just got my first teaching job out of college and can finally afford a decent car and they ruined the purchasing experience. On the bright side, I used the 40 minutes to write this.

Probably the easiest car buying experience that I have had. Called ahead to make sure the car I was interested in was still there and they took my information to start the credit process to make sure they could beat the rate from my bank. Test drive was easy and we drove a couple of other cars to compare. Paperwork process was easy without the hard sell for additional add-ons that other dealers do. The car had an error code pop up during the test drive and it continued to come on the drive home. The dealer called the following day to make sure everything was ok with the car and I informed them that the error code was coming on every time we drove the car. They worked with me to take the car to my local Nissan dealer to get the problem diagnosed and repaired. The Nissan dealer noted that the car appeared to have prior body work that was likely the cause of the error code. The damage was not listed in the Autocheck report (these reports only show damage reported to insurance and most rental cars with damage are not claimed on an insurance policy). The repair was several hundred dollars and Hertz took care of bill. Everyone at Hertz was very helpful and I would recommend buying from them. Their prices are several thousand dollars below most local dealers and you dont have to put up with the hassle of negotiating on a price and all of the checking with my sales manager BS to get to a fair price. Walk in, take test drive, fill out the paperwork, pay a small fee for the purchase, and drive off.

Hertz cars themselves are a good deal, so there is no issue there. However, the sales team and management are unresponsive after purchase. The call me if you have any trouble line was said after we bought from them, but when trouble hit, they played the I dont know game and musical chairs (the phone tag addition). We were told we needed to talk to the finance manager (who never returned a phone call), then we got in touch with another manager who said they were going to take care of our issue (cancel a warranty) to only find out 5 weeks later after calling the main car sales number, no paperwork was ever submitted on our behalf. I think its shady business and unfortunate because Hertz has a great product, but may need to seriously consider retraining their senior staff on interpersonal communication and follow up procedures. Sad!

Do not let them transfer your tag! I just bought a car from them and got them to transfer my tag. The 30 day tag is up today and they have JUST SENT IN the registration info today! I have been calling to check up on it weekly and heard that things were processing and I would have my registration by the deadline. I finally called corporate because this office was not returning my calls and that is when I found out they hadnt even sent in the information. They were very nice when I was buying the car, but this registration issue has totally turned me on them.

Check out and check in outstanding. Vehicle performance (cleanliness, mileage, etc.) outstanding. Hidden costs, sucks. Why does it cost me $10 dollars (in addition to the rental charge) to process a one day extension. Moreover, how much trouble is it to inform the customer that the charge is clearly stated on p. 70 of the 300+ page terms and agreement? Is there an emoji for sarcasm??

Car was in good shape and is running well. We are having tag issues like another customer. Eric blamed it on a software issue and said they are getting emails from the state on it. I asked if he could send me a copy of the email. He said no he did not have access to it. He said he was going to send me another temporary tag. We will see if it comes through.

Great car,great price but paperwork and follow up for tags is a night mare Hopefully we will receive our 3rd temporary tag because they cannot get our permanent tag. Something is dreadfully wrong and I have had about enough excuses. Tags run out on the 24th Friday after Thanksgiving. We are approaching 90 days since purchase.

Horrible experience I felt very discriminated against due to color and sexual orientation. I was never offered to test drive the vehicle of choice, while everyone else that entered test drove, they where very nonchalant about assisting me. The salesman Steve stated he would call me back, he did not even contact me to tell me I wasnt approved I had to continously call him,as I know they may get customers but it only takes less then 10 seconds to say no!! Bad customer service wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! I work third shift I got off work at 7am to come a awful appointment wasted time that could have been spent resting before going in for work!!!!

I purchased a 2017 toyota Avalon on April 26, of this year, today is Sept. 2, and I still dont have papers to get.license plate for my car, I have spoke with Eric, Todd, Madison and others there but still no response. Last week I called their corporate office and was told someone would call me back the next day, I havent heard back from they. Ive had 3 paper plates, but the last one expired on July 28 and since then my car is just sitting parked in my driveway. So sad. I dont know what else to do with this situation. I wish I had went somewhere else and got a car.
