Melissa was very helpful and helped me to move out a few heavy things that I could not do on my own! She helped me to move these things out so that I could save money and not be charged for the next month and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her! Whole process to set up and close unit was very simple as well. Great storage place highly recommend!

I used the PS national website to reserve a storage unit. I received a call from Melissa at the PS in Winter Park, FL facility within 30 seconds. Amazing. She made all of the check-in easy and pleasant. The facility itself is clean and well air conditioned. I have had good experiences there 2 years in a row. Well done, Melissa, and PS.

Ebony is a delightful person and was very accommodating in trying to find me a storage unit that would work for my circumstances. To this end, she was able to find me a unit that will work perfectly for me. Before I retired from corporate America, it was the party line to work toward achieving customer satisfaction and the year that I retired, they had raised the bar to customer delight. I am still not sure what that means but I would say that Ebony was exceptional in her knowledge and people skills of achieving customer satisfaction, so I would say that she is definitely a keeper.

Ive been trying to get the lights outside my unit replaced for 3 weeks. With no lights inside the unit, I cannot see inside any box without a flashlight. I was told by site personnel that the replacement lightbulbs are on order. Then, the ballasts that power the lights were to blame and would be installed by electricians when they arrive. Today I will hope for the best but will prudently take my flashlight just in case. This location is fairly priced and the site staff are friendly and always try their best to help me. But poorly lit storage units are hazardous. So, a word to the wise, check out the unit thoroughly before you rent.

This Public Storage is nearest to me, which was what I was looking for. I have been using Public Storage for years now and Im always happy about how clean the units are. On this day, Melissa helped me find the right unit, in size and cost. She was extremely nice and helpful, while juggling all her other duties, I found her very professional and nice! Im very happy with my choice, I will always use Public Storage!

Came in Monday looking for a one of your smaller units.Though unsuccessful due to there being none available in my desired size, I had a pleasant encounter with an employee there at the time. Viewing available units were a bit more humorous as we walked and made light jokes about her pregnancy wobble. The young lady sent me to another location where i was able to get a unit there thanks to her and public storage moving is easy.

UPDATE 12/3/2019:I spoke with this locations manager (Melissa) this morning. I recounted my frustration with the rate increase and lack of notice. Sec. 2.2 of my Lease states rates may change with 30 days notice, however no notice has been provided by mail or electronically as of 12/3. She maintains I was sent a letter on 11/27, though has no proof of delivery. I asked the same questions I did in-store yesterday. She clarified the internet price is a promotion, and that its typical for Public Storage to raise rates every 6 months. Her only suggestions were that I transfer into another 10x10 unit for the same price that Im currently paying (go ahead and read that again--move into an identical unit across the hall to keep my rate), or downsize to a smaller unit. We ended the conversation with her offering to monitor prices and if it drops below my current rate shell call me.UPDATE 12/2/2019:I logged into my account to confirm automatic monthly payment was processed and noticed a different price on my payments screen for January 1. The price increased +21.6% from my current rate. Website lists the same unit (10 x 10) for less (-22.0% lower than my current rate, yes a >40% spread). I stopped by the office and was told I dont set the prices. I politely asked questions to understand (such as asking whether all units had a rate increase, if theres a premium or increased demand for units my size, whether its customary to see a rate hike after only a few months, and what my options are for moving out). The response was beyond lackluster. I was told (paraphrasing) to either have someone else get a unit at a promotional price in their name (which is not only unethical, but forbidden per the rental agreement, Sec. 3.5.1) or call the District Manager.UPDATE 11/26/2019:Between August and November 24, I have observed one or the other of the gates stuck open no fewer than 11 times. Each time I noted the date, time, and left a message. No response from Public Storage. On one occasion in September, I stopped by the office and was told its been broken.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I’m planning to revise this review periodically as I just moved in and started renting from this location. My experience with the current (August 2019) staff was very positive. I visited and they were upfront about all charges and availability (though I had to ask very clearly for a list of ALL charges). They were very accommodating and took their time to show me multiple units, and lived up to their word to hold the particular one I wanted.The actual contract process was typical for a rental agreement and took only about 10 minutes. The space itself seems generally very nice. I have a climate-controlled unit and while they said they keep it around 75-76, it was cool inside, but about 78-79 degrees on the second floor. Though a bit dimly lit, the lighting didnt raise any concerns about safety or being able to work. Evidently there has never been a vandalism, burglary, or pest issue at this location, though I suppose a single dead roach in the corridor should not be too alarming in Florida.There are trolleys/carts by the door for common use and the gate control system is nice. The building is a little tough to navigate at first, but once or twice through and you get the hang of it. The location is very convenient. My only complaint isn’t actually about the location as it is the other renters: when it gets busy, there are no carts, the elevators are slow, and parking is a nightmare. If you’re moving in with a truck, be sure to get here early in the morning (before 11 AM) to be able to back up to the door.
