It was like most Walmarts, busy, and the first real hot weekend so everything was picked apart for outdoors type supplies. We did have a really nice cashier in the garden center, and she was quick, so she totally gets my vote for customer service of the year. Parking was reasonable and ...appropriate for a Sunday. All in all, it couldve been worse.

The prices are great, but they only have very limited cashiers on duty. They did however open more self-serve checkouts. I would guess it is because the trouble businesses are having getting employees.

The West Valley Walmart in Washington state has a kitten trapped in the rafters that got in through the loading dock. Its been in there crying for help for 8 days now and Walmart management refuses to allow its rescue. Rescue organizations and the City have begged to come in and rescue it but Walmart refuses stating, theyve hired pest control to get the kitten. People are outside the store picketing and the store manager was rude to the crowd, laughed at the people and stated I have better things to do with my time. This is horribly sad, Walmart should be ashamed of themselves and they should absolutely be held responsible for the death of that little kitten if it dies!

There were 10 employees standing around in the checking area just talking to each other. Why so many workers in there if the customers are doing their jobs for them...ringing up and bagging our own groceries? Thats why I rarely shop here anymore.

Went to send money out of state . Already in system. Lady asks for ID re puts information in for no reason already there. Then all the sudden I cant send money to the people in need and waiting for it. Instead of going back thru to see what she did wrong . She blames it in the other end. Please !!!; Didnt have a problem until then. Wouldnt even check . No consideration that I am 29 miles from town or people where in need and walked a mile to receive the money. But it on the other end?? Maybe they need to problem solve and not be the problem.

This West side location is a decent location but has mostly self service check out with very little help available. Customer service is severely lacking as they are constantly reorganizing the store and moving items and nobody knows where to find them. The App scanner frequently reads that the item is not in stock or the item cannot be identified and there are no price check machines. If you are simple shopping and self sufficient, youll like Walmart. If you like customer interaction and food service, shop locally. Shop at Wrays or Steins.

Most of the staff is great and helpful. The cashier layout is horrible. It seems they have 5 people standing in each bullpen and 3 actual manned cashiers.

Walmart does a LOT for the community! It’s not your basic shopping center. Walmart loves to help, whether it’s donations or being part of an event, they love to be supportive!

It was very big and well put together the staff was very helpful from nelly in the vision center to Angela in the deli and Rachel and Lisa in the bakery

We’re seniors and have been shopping this Walmart since it opened. Naturally we have experienced the confusion of the recent changes to the layout of the store but unlike others my wife and I see immediate positive changes for the better. First the shiny floors make for a cleaner looking environment. We also like the wider main aisles and the addition of several aisles that run from the front to the rear of the store. Yes there are currently some narrow aisles but I don’t believe they are done adjusting. The new enlarged self-checkout system is a vast improvement over the old system.At our age I suppose we have experienced more change than some and understand that change is inevitable. In this case we see nothing but positive. Well done Walmart!

I like going to this Wal-Mart.Staff is nice to us and they are always willing to help when we have questions or when we accidentally bought something and need to return it.We have used their tire center also maybe twice we didnt have any issues with the service the staff or the customer service.

Great attitude and help from associates.Store was clean and isles were not cluttered. I used the WM app to find my products in stock and where they were.Bought lunch sandwich and found a newer offering called the Grab n Go cold beverage and sandwich area near the self check out, super convienant and had basics i needed to have for a drink and a sandwich. Great idea. Made my trek into the deli area obsolete.

Went into find some red white and blue clothes. The clothing section in in this store was very confusing to me. It went womens junior womens again. I found a really cute pair of pajamas for my sister and I with pockets for fourth of July vacation we will be wearing as dresses because thats what they look like. Very soft material which I love. I wish there was more attire in red white and blue for women. Most of what we found was in the juniors section and all we saw were xs and small star shorts.

They are in the process of rearranging the store so everything is not even labelled right Some of the aisles are too close together can cant get more than one card at a time down it. I wish they still had the self check with the longer counter the new and you dont have any space to put your stuff before you scan it it is a lot bigger space to bag which is nice. They still have about 6 checkers but their very very small counters Hopefully ill get better when sir finally done moving everything around.

Ordered a computer online that clearly stated was in stock. Was charged for the purchase then after a hour the order was canceled. When I called to ask why they said their website has been messed up for some time and does not accurately display the inventory. I then was curious about what they actually do have in stock so I was transferred to electronics where I was first hung up on and then after attempting to call again was on hold so long I then decided to just forget it. Terrible experience.

Usually a great place. Much better than the other Walmart in the area. But they are undergoing renovation which Im sure will be nice but right now its fairly impossible to find anything.

Usually it’s alright but I seen so many un-masked people on this visit, it was down right scary and uncomfortable being in there walking around knowing the new COVID strain is making its rounds. It’s August 1, 2021. Think I will stick to Amazon for my shopping needs. You get just as good prices without risking your life and health. There are many items either low or no stock so this adds up to me asking myself “why did I come here now”?

Prices went up customer went even further down and you check yourself out. Go figure!!

This Walmart is great! My friend had out her vape in the cart and without our knowledge it fell out and we thought it was gone for good... On our way out we decided to ask customer service if it was possibly turned in and by surprise it was! Great honest workers!

Newly remodeled and much cleaner than most other Walmart’s I’ve been to. Items are easy to find and the remodel helps reduce how often you’re stuck trying to get past another shopper in the aisle.

Its a great place to shop and order for cribs I pick up but its a great place to shop

Waited 15 minutes in their lube lane. A gentleman came out and said that they were short staffed. And had tire appointments first. Its 2pm now. Cant get you done till 5. I asked whos the manager. Its on the wall inside. I am just telling you what they told me to say. There is two cars on tire side 1 waiting in lube lane and me. I see 3 g4 guys standing around. This place is garbage.

The guys there were so nice and helpful. I appreciate the ones who did show up and give it their all.

Store has been undergoing remodeling. Is very hard to find what youre looking for. If you ask somebody they dont know where it is. Its a real adventure in shopping 🤣🤣

Lazy staff, misleading price match policy. Dont go to this location if youre looking for the best deals in their company. Also dont go if you are in a rush; for instance, took 20 minutes for a staff member to be tracked down to open a simple case. However, nice interior and pretty clean.

I like shopping here, I come often to shop here and its a nice store with a variety of sections. the only thing I dont like is how they reorganized everything in the store. its their store so they can do everything they want to it, however I wish they kept things how they were because it can be a struggle trying to find things when everything has been rearranged in different places. other than that. Wonderful store. I like this Wal-Mart.

The lady at the customer service desk accused me of opening the air mattress I was attempting to return. It took her a good 10 minutes to tear into the pkg. She was exceptionally rude, even by Walmart’s standards.

I dont like that walmart is asking theyre customers to wear masks now. Half the customers I can tell choose not to wear one. I can see if it is mandatory from the state to wear a mask, but thats not the case. All the other stores give you the option to wear a mask. Also, charging 5 cents for a cheap bag is ridiculous. I bring my own bags.

Only 3 cashiers, everyone has to pretty much be their own cashier, at the self check out. More self check registers than ever before with the store being remodeld. Wont be back for a long time, going to stick with Safeway for my shopping.

I regularly shop here. The pharmacy staff is very helpful as are the tire center staff. The store is well stocked and clean.

I liked this store at this location however checking out made it a little confusing. There was only 2 cashiers and everything else was made for card checkout at kiosk. So paying by cash was a no no for this location unless you wanted to wait, wait, and wait some more.

Finally not a long wait in line surprisingly. I usually just go to Walmart to refill my phone plan and to buy pretty yarn since I crochet.

Hey really need to update their hours. It says everything is open until 11pm. Really inconvenienced because of a simple problem with a easy fix.

Waited in electronics for about a half an hour. I called their department and there phone didnt ring....they put it on silent. I was standing right there and not a single phone ring. Everything is so out of order I needed a price check but couldnt get one. Wish I could give ZERO stars.

The way the check outs are set up. Is congested and way to many machines dont take cash. The employee stalk you like your stealing while checking out. Ignoring customers needing help. Why are there gates you can walk around at the doors. Customers service lines always in the isel.No one is ever in the electronics department to help. Or jewelry.

I seriously dnt understand how they can have a sign that says free helium with purchase of balloons, then charge u to fill them. Ridiculous this was the last straw for me.

I can honestly tell you that I personally worked at this Walmart location, and I have a few friends that still do work there. The management changed to a man named Benjamin and that store completely turned around it was clean organized professional did very well. since his departure the store has turned into a mess the freezers are always empty the meats empty the deli close empty and the entrance to the store is nasty. Organization cleanliness and stock shelves are a must. The pictures below are from a Thursday Evening around 8:30, no hot dogs, very little deli meats, just empty.

Walmart on Nob Hill is our preferred Walmart in Yakima. Its one of the less industrial designed Walmarts, with shelving and color palette a little more homey in greys and browns. Employees are pleasant and happy to help you find items as needed. Like other Walmarts, it has a tendency to be picked over by late in the day and shelves can be in quite a bit of disarray, though thats more a statement on the clientele than the employees; I always see employees reshelving and straightening, but they just cant keep up with the wanton onslaught of the Walmart customer. And because its Walmart there are always great values to be had and thats why we keep going there.

Since they rearranged its hard to find items. Also, their managing of cash registers is ridiculous. No auto ones for cash only.

I cant believe that you have to check yourself out and then you cant use cash and Wal-Mart is not so cheap Ive shopped at grocery out lit and bought more for less I m not going to Wal-Mart any more they are NOT CHEAP

This place was place has now converted most of their regular checkout line with self-service stations making it less crowded upon checkout. Fyi you are required to 5 cents for every bag used or simply bring in your own.

Place was in disarray. Many if the shelves were bare or being rearrangeed. Couldnt tell where anything was. Came in for a hot water bottle, basic item, and I was told by the pharmacy rep. they hadnt sold this in some years. Also came in for beef jersey and saving cream. Tgey had products,, just a lack of selection. And they charge 5 cents for plastic bags during check out. With as much money as Walmart banks each year on not having cashiers, youd like they could afford to provide the lousy plastic bag.

Currently in a state of chaos. The store was great and easy to guide through then this corporate mandated garbage happens and no one can find a darn thing including the employees

I came in to get 20 bags of mulch. The staff helped me out and were very friendly. Good prices on garden stuff and a pretty good selection.

This store needs better stock ..lacking lots of brands. Such as plain sour cream and pancake mix...no frozen lemonade. Get busy WalMart.

Waited in the express lane for door dash for over 15mins already, spoke with 3 young ladies to get help to the express lane so I can do my order, and no one got help, finally someone asked for help over the loud speaker, and still no body came, I also called the store while I was still waiting at the express area and and they said the heard the call and would send someone. So I still continue to wait. And no body has come yet. This place is a joke. The one girl with red hair kept walking past me over and over again and never once asked me if i needed help.

Im enraged that NONE of the Self Check Out lanes accepts CASH. I was there 7-22-21. A total of 4 customers, myself included, had to take their items to one of the unused check out register to have our items rang up again! I was told there was signs posted about not taking case. I never say one until after I had rang up my items and the computer told I COULD ONLY USE A CARD! So basically anyone not using a card had to stand in 1 of the 2 lines with a checker.

Now normally I wouldnt leave a poor review on here unless there is a extremely good reason for it, today I was at Walmart trying to get a few WIC items and apparently none of the self check ours that have been forced on us are no longer accepting WIC so I had to give warning to other parents of this just in case

It was 7 am hardly any shoppers thats is because they were all at one checkout line lined up waiting to pay. The whole entire self check was empty so I asked which one was cash and she said no cash here! Huh? No cash at self check outs make no sense ? I lefty two items with Walmart and because apparently I was going out the wrong door I got beeped? I am so not getting this purpose ? Wont be back to this Walmart .

No wait time to check out. The store is now renovated with all self check-out stations for the most part. Fyi, They no longer sell any tobacco products.

The employees are nice but they seem depressed. I think someone needs to do something about the moral there. Depressed employees are the last thing anyone wants to see there. They should not have to dread clocking into work. And me and my other half have gone there with ten minutes to spare before they close and we get the cold shoulder. Not very impressed with WalMart.

It was alright. Was treated kindly and was forgiven for a mistake that happened. Most definitely somewhere I love to go rather than the other one that Yakima had over near Terrace Heights. You definitely earned that 5 star rating, West Valley.

Disinfect between visits, doesnt happen. Guy in self check out just stood there no hi, good morning, No acknowledgment whatsoever. Its not that hard to be polite, if you hate your job that much leave, Im sure theres someone that would appreciate having a job.

Super sales, deals and low cost products. Has auto shop services to help you out. Family-friendly store. Clean store, clean restrooms. Ver friendly staff. Been going here for years and really been enjoying the services and friendliness of staff.thank you all at Walmart for such great work and services to us customers.

The man who works there is always pleasant and quick to offer help.i would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a good filling meal.

Reorganizing....however it is totally irresponsible to force people to wander all over only to find numerous empty shelves. Increasingly the management of the Oregon and Washington stores are showing an extreme deficit of creativity. There does appear to be a hallowing out of the values of the organization that the empty shelves cannot hide.

Yakimas West Valley location is an absolute disaster (May 2021) during its change of floor plans. Not sure why when people enjoy knowing where everything has been then last 15yrs or so. For a quick trip. With 20 lanes only 3 have cashiers not because of the normal reason but the rest of the registers are self check out. Did all the cashiers they had get fired? I know many older folks dont like scanning & bagging their own stuff. I personally dont mind but it still took me over a half hour in line waiting for my turn today, I almost bail to leave my stuff behind. Sure hope things will be better soon. I remember being excited when it was built out there vs going to Terrace Heights (which locals refer to as the ghetto wally world)

I had to go to self checkout because I forgot something with my order. I do not ever go to self checkout as I dont want to scan and bag my own groceries. The worker at self checkout was not helpful at all and I ended up going to another store for the few items I needed. A few employees I asked questions of were miserable. Luciano was one of them. Wont be using Wal-Mart in the future.

Visited the Walmart in West Valley. The associates were upbeat and helpful. The cashier were polite and professional. Mucj better shopping experience than the Terrace Heights Walmart.

Its Walmart what do you expect. Although Id much rather shop this one then the one in terrace heights aka the ghetto Walmart.

TIRE CENTER- called ahead of time to change tires; asked if I could make an appointment because we were driving from over an hour away. Told an appointment was not needed, and just to come over. When we arrived an hour or so later, we were rudely told that we should have made an appointment. When we complained inside to a manager they just shrugged their shoulders and said Sorry what am I supposed to do about it? Took everything in my wife not to Karen-out! Dont waste your time, buy local where they care about customer service.

I habe bern going to this wal mart for a long. Time. After the rudness of the 2 employees. I will be returning to the other walmart. Its farther. Bit will not be returning to this one. VERY poor customr service. Im a cashier.

Ever since they took out the regular checkout stands, they made EVERY ONE of the self checkouts CARD ONLY! There is literally 2 checkouts that do cash.Give yourself an extra 45 minutes if your going to pay with cash, cause thats how long it took me & I had less than 20 items.Not very efficient if you ask me.
