The Wheel Doctor is quite a unique experience. Just like a doctors appointment (and you will need an appointment), you are one-on-one with the doctor. There is only one lift. He really knows his stuff and was able to correct the tire balancing I had gotten elsewhere a couple weeks prior. Road force balancing really does make a difference. My ride is as smooth as silk. It is more $ than a regular balance but you cant argue with results.

Working with Derrick the Wheel Doctor was unlike any experience I have had working directly with a new shop. From start to finish, you have full confidence that you are working with a true expert. Regardless if my issue was fixed or not, I was compelled to leave him the review he deserves. There arent many Derricks left in this world and its important to let the everyone know how awesome he is!I arrived 15 mins early for my appointment which I made a few weeks ago. I drove from New Jersey because I had struck out with my local installers. He was ready to go. While you are in the shop, you are his priority and have his full attention. I have a curious mind and asked questions along every step of the process. He was happy to explain it to me verbally, but also showed me how that applied to what we were seeing on the machine as well. I explained thoroughly my history with 3, yes THREE, previous shops that could not sort out my vibration issue. I expressed I wanted to have 4 wheels checked out, and He explained to me his pricing before we got started. His pricing is going to higher than you are used to paying. Do not let that make you think twice. I agreed to his pricing and he moved right along. He explained the process takes about 2 hours for the 4 wheels. My last tire shop I was in and out in 30 mins for balancing - guess what? It was unacceptable as my whole vehicle was shaking at highway speeds.After watching the whole process go down, I know understand way more about road force balancing. I understand why Derrick needs to charge the prices he does. The whole thing is very methodical. Thats why you get the proper results. He takes extra care when dealing with the wheels and tires. Everything he does is taken with that extra level of care. Yes you have to make an appointment, yes you will pay extra, but this is a set it and forget it tire installer option. I have wasted so much time with the 3 previous installers I was left embarrassed and frustrated. I was literally ready to sell these expensive wheels!Derrick, thank you again sir. Very professional and very transparent. Made an appointment for a wheel repair, and Derek thoroughly checked all four wheels and tires for defects. Found all of the spots where the wheels were bent and straightened them out, and properly balanced them as well. My car rides perfectly smooth compared to before. He might be pricier than other shops but I believe you get what you pay for, and you cant substitute knowledge and passion for your craft.

Unlike every other tire shop you go to your wheels and tires are not going to get the meticulous attention to detail The Wheel Doctor will provides. In all my years of getting tires mounted and balanced no one has ever removed the residue from the old weights nor scrubbed the crud from the edge of the wheels. His procedure is very exacting and the proof is in the ride quality after you drive away completely satisfied. I felt the difference immediately, the suspension didnt feel jumpy but it was well planted and smooth rolling, I can feel it in the steering wheel since it no longer has a subtle vibration. You get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it, its quality you can feel at the steering wheel.

This shop is EXCELLENT! My tire had been slowly leaking for weeks and Mavis ripped me off and then wrote me off... I read the other reviews this place had and decided to give it a try. Very honest shop and they took their time to find and fix the issue the right way. Fully explained and showed me the issue and quoted me with a timeframe before they did the job. If I ever have any other tire related issues in the future I will be back!

Fantastic and friendly service, definitely above and beyond! Had a chance to discuss all things related to automotive and chalk full of knowledge and experience. I had 35 series tires mounted on 20 inch wheels and it took longer than I was use to, but thats because its the first time my tires were properly mounted. Will not go anywhere else.

Got tires and had a local shop mount and balance. The shop was reluctant to install the TPM sensors. The Wheel Doctor was a recommended shop to have the issue resolved. Met with Derrick, very professional. He explained the process and informed me of any potential additional charges. Told me he would need about 2 hours to complete and sure enough he kept to his word. Good to know there are shops like his. I will recommend his business.

Derrick is the man. This guy is a cool dude very honest and explained everything in detail. My car was suffering from vibration when doing 60-70MPH. Got 4 new tires from Mavis. I regret going there. They suck big time. I even got another used set of factory wheels because was told original set were Bent bad and had really bad curb damage. I bought car with these wheels. Derrick worked his magic now no vibration even at a 100MPH. Finally can enjoy my commuter car back and forth to work. Derek is phenomenal. I’ve brought two cars to him now several years apart (NY roads have caused multiple of my wheels to bend) and the car drove 10x better than brand new after he was done. He is very professional (an absolute master at what he does), quick, and reasonable. He clearly explained how to see what was wrong and then solved it. 10/10 would recommend to anyone I know who has any issues with their wheels and tires.

He did a very good job and explained exactly what he did thoroughly. I learned a bit about wheels and tires after talking to him. He lost a star for price. He charges 65 dollars for installation and balancing and rotation of each tire. He charged extra for installing new tpms sensors. He charged another 310 to fix a crack in my rim on the inside for r16 rims. My total bill was 940 to fix all of that and to fix all of the dents in my rim to create a very smooth ride.I would definitely use him again when I get a better car.

The reviews were solid 5 stars on both Google And Yelp so I gave it a try. I’m so glad I did. The shaking vibration I was getting after hitting 60 mph is gone. The car runs like new. Impecable work, friendly atmosphere, great price. If you care about your car then you need to bring to The Wheel Doctor.

Been to wheel doctor for 7 years now for all my wheel / tire needs. I will be upfront, it is not going to be the cheapest shop you will find but if you want the best care and services this is the place to go. Derek is a car enthusiast himself and he has genuine passion in his craft and always put his customers’ interest first. To plug a tire i will go to some random cheapo place but if I need new tires mounted or straightening some bent rims this is where I go.

I had four wheels with varying degrees of damage on my Volvo causing severe vibrations at highway speeds. Called the Wheel Doctor and was immediately impressed by Derrick and his willingness to spend time on the phone describing his process. I dropped my car off two days later, Derrick knew who I was, greeted me, went over his plans, pricing, etc... Several hours later I picked up my car and he meticulously went over the details of what he did, the condition of each wheel and tire and what he did to resolve. The price was fair, considering what new replacement wheels cost. The car drove exceptionally well, like the day I picked it up from the dealer. Every aspect of the experience was top-notch and worthwhile.

If you can appreciate the best, and also not having to make repeated trips back to fix the same recurring problem (like most places) then you can appreciate Dereks genius and his craft. This is an excellent repair shop! Natasha and Derrick are a great team and are really wonderful to interact with. Natasha scheduled me very quickly, gave me an accurate quote quickly over the phone, and was generally lovely. Derrick is obviously very good at the work and takes lots of time to explain everything as he does it. I hopefully wont need a rim fixed soon, but given the roads around here it will probably happen, and when it does i will definitely be coming back here.

HONEST AND NICE ALSO VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE!!I had a flat tire and a scratched on the wheel rim. Monday called my dealership like always they want to Overprice me and Costco Tire over booked . I needed my car fixed as soon as possible, I call wheel dr. Derek was so helpful in directing me in the website to place the tire order but also to places it before 2 pm . For the delivery to be next day which was delivery to his shop next day free delivery. Derek called as soon as the tire arrived . We set up a time for me to come in and fix my rim scratch and placed my tire. I came in with my 2 year I want say how professional but just nice person Derek is . We need more honest mechanics out here for that I will recommend him to everyone I know. And want to let everyone who reads this post go to his shop you will not be disappointed.

Derrick is obsessed with what he does in a healthy way! Brought both my BMW and Range Rover to him for roadforce balancing and to fix a cracked rim. Hes extremely honest and upfront about your options. You absolutely get what you pay for!

I had a tire with a slow leak (2015 Suburban with factory 22 chrome wheels). I brought it to Mavis thinking it needed a plug only to have them show me that the wheel was cracked in three spots on the back side of the rim. I saw the good reviews online for the Wheel Doctor so I gave them a shot. Derek was straightforward, honest and explained everything. Based on the number of cracks he suggested that I might be able to go back to the Dealer as it was indicative of a poorly manufactured wheel. Derek was wiling to turn away work because he was honest about the likelihood of another crack showing up down the road. I had to prep the car to be turned in on lease so I went ahead with the repair anyway. He did a great job and showed me all of the work that was performed. He is a true craftsman and knows his stuff. Its a family run shop that restores your faith in honest workmanship. I wont go anywhere else now.

And took very good care with not scratching my wheels . If you care about tour wheels and don’t want to deal with wheels being damaged or scratched Derick is your guy for sure . Keep in mind you are paying for quality work which is definitely 100 percent worth . it I’d rather pay extra to have the job done right than pay extra down the road due to installer neglegens . Definitely worth every penny I spent and I will be going back for all my wheel and tire needs .

Derick is definitely the best at what he can do with tire (steering wheel) vibrations that a regular tire shop cant take care of. He uses a wheel force wheel/tire balance machine. Come here if you want the job done right and by someone who cares about the details. Derek torqued the lug nuts to spec, polished the rim which had a bad case of curb rash, and took time to explain and demo what road force balancing was. He also let me hover and ask questions while he worked, but I kept it to a minimum. One does not disturb Michelangelo while he works.

I hit a pothole on a Thursday morning and realized my ride was off. After looking under the car i could visually see a bent rim on my new 1 month old BMW.After calling the dealer I was told a new rim would cost $433.After a google search, I found the wheel doctor and called them Friday, the next day. They were very nice, informative and went above and beyond to accommodate me the very same day by staying late to inspect and fix my wheels. They worked on my car from 7-930pm on a Friday night!!After Derek inspected my vehicle, he found and showed me two bent rims as a result of the pothole impact. He digitally measured the damage using high tech machines and was able to show me numerically what the damage was. After he finished repairing my wheels, he ran the same test to show me that numerically that the rims were not only round, but rounder then they come out of the factory. He then printed before and after readings to show me that the wheel repair was very successful.I spent the entire time watching and talking to Derek as he worked on my wheels. I have never seen anyone take so much pride in their work and have a true genuine passion for their work. Derek is an artist and really touched me with his passion, pride and professionalism. He inspired me so much that I am posting this review on every review page for The Wheel Doctor.. and I NEVER take the time to write reviews for anyone.Highly recommend The Wheel Doctor to ANYONE and EVERYONE. Worst repair shop ever; if you considered to get service think twice before you go in he’s shop.He is asking $200 for each rims to fix you can buy for that price range new rims and you don’t agree with fix price,this time he asking $75 for diagnostic fee if you don’t pay he treading not give back your car THINK TWICE.

Had a very bad bend in an aluminum rim which gave a bad shake at higher speeds. These rims are no longer available from the manufacture. This place is professional and quick. I had my rim back quickly and he even spun it for me when I picked it up. Looked good and feels like it should now. Thanks! By the way, if he doesnt think its in your best interest to attempt repair he will tell you.

With my 10 yr old car, so far there was improvement after Derrick (forgot to ask his. name) fixed the tire for half the price to buy a new one from the dealership. I know it is a risk, but one good thing is he narrowed down to the tire that has the problem.
