Staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Prices of products are very reasonable and the in house beer they have is delicious! Definitely worth having a pint while you shop.

Donovan has an excellent selection and reasonable prices on everything. We frequently use his store to supply even our craft brewery and he always has what we need. Great to have a fully stocked store to go to.

Its an awesome clean little place with great customer service. They carry make your own seltzer kits and the flavors are perfection!! Try them before you buy them. They have some pre-made 4 pack varieties in cans.

Hit or miss at this place. Half the time, the one guy in there would rather pick his nose than help you. Out of stock on something I needed this last round. The website is not good for looking up what they have in stock. With so many options online, this place has become emergency only. Was that the plan?

Great selection, great prices, and great product knowledge. However, a small/ micro business should have a stronger sense of customer appreciation and should understand that treating customers imbisilic because they ask questions is not how to grow a business built on teaching people a craft. Not from every employee: just one in particular. However, if youre going to employ a disgruntled person with such a negative demeanor and expect that to not impact business and how customers feel about the business, you should not be in business.I can easily go to a big chain store for my needs. However, I chose to shop at a local establishment. That was a mistake. The score should be a 1-star because of one employees negative attitude, but the product and prices are better than others. But, beware.

I am not a home brewer, but I have a large planted aquarium. This store sells a wide range of equipment relevant to the aquatic gardening hobby, from all sizes and types of plastic tubing, connectors, etc, to quick, easy CO2 refills. Prices good and service always quick and friendly.

Great place for anyone into home brewing or wanting to learn. Great selection of grains, yeasts, hops, and other supplies, and knowledgeable staff. Also have cheese and vinegar making supplies.

Nice shop, laid back no rush, take your time and peruse the store. I went there to get a 5lb C02 cylinder filled so I could refill my & #3$ bottles at home myself.One of the few places in town that refills C02 tanks with beverage grade C02, not industrial gas such as used for welding or paintball guns. Nice employees. Always great to be treated with respect and a smile! Plenty of parking, but might get crowded around lunchtime, was there at an off peak time. Easy to get to.

My wife and I came in for a beer at the brewery. Waited and waited at the bar for about 10 minutes then went to La Cumbre.

Drove 30 plus miles because I was told over the phone that a product was in stock. However was not on the shelf. Had the clerk actually verified that the product was there. I would not have wasted my time or gas.

This is a fantastic place to get home brew supplies. Recently theyve added a small bar with local beers on tap, so you can sip a pint of beer while you shop, which is simply awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. They close pretty early so make sure to check the hours if youre heading there.

Personalized service, helped elect a beer kit, find the supplies we needed and checked us out- all while wearing masks. The store doggy is very sweet.

Nice staff and very well stocked. The prices on some items is very good (better than what you cant find online) and on some its better to shop online. Good selection of wet yeast and dry yeast. Grain room is self-served, though staff can still fill your order, and there are local grains too. They also have fruit presses and other items for rent. Really nice shop, especially for ABQ ;)

One of my favorite stores. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I have been using this store for years. They moved not too recently to the candelaria location and started adding new features. I cannot recommend enough. I brew and because of them they helped me a lot when first starting out. Very competitive prices.

Oh and the taps are operational now too... fill a growler or a few with your 2nd favorite beer ( assuming your home brew is #1 favorite) while you shop. How can you not like that???

Went in for a wart transfer pump to be told that they are out of stock, no pumps are on order and the employee that places orders does not know when another will be available.I asked him if he would go ahead and order one for me and he informed me that placing an order for a single item is not an option. I expressed that I would appreciate him making an exception considering that this is a normally stocked item and is an essential part for a home brew setup.He simply told me I could find something online! I can buy everything I need online so should I just stop purchasing locally? I was also informed that the business is relocating and that has contributed to the lack of stock items. All the more reason the place an order for your customer’s needs. I don’t care that your move effects your inventory and I should not have to consider it.I will not be returning to this store and I will recommend to all my people to avoid it. The employees apparently do not realize that customer sales and service is the primary reason their doors are open.

I like to support local, and I buy stuff here, but can be a little pricey compared to online options. Would like to see a small drop in price, so I can feel better shopping local.......They also need to train the folks more. They know where stuff is located on the shelf, but they dont seem to know too much more than that.

Too often disappointed here. Needed some standard plastic carboys, checked their price on their website, and drove in. Employee tells me they stopped stocking those a couple of years ago.Seriously? A brew and ferment shop without a plastic carboy? (Don’t want the wide mouth one, too much head space) Next thing they will stop stocking yeast and hops. Plus it wouldn’t hurt to update your website.

Ive been in there once, but my brewing partner has been there a couple of times. They have a very solid selection of ingredients and equipment. Their prices on whole sacks of malt are much better than any of the mail order stores Ive used. Overall a great place to shop.

Could not be happier with our experiences and the great thing is that everything comes with an abundance of free knowledge. It is the perfect place to go for the beginner like us. You will not sold on buying something you dont or wont need. Everything that has done so far has come out perfect and if there is a question during the process the answer is just a phone call away. The owner could not be a nicer guy and anyone who says otherwise is just plain WRONG! Anyone who goes there should be confident that they are dealing with not only an knowledgeable person but also a conscientious one as well.

Has brewers best flavorings, and not a bad price on most of their stuff. Really like the flavorings for the different meads i make.

Always most helpful. Prices are a little higher than others online, but the customer service is out of this world. Plus it always better to support local businesses. I am a lazy Brewer, and if I ask them a question ( instead of researching it myself ) they always have an answer or are willing to look it up and get back to you. Supplies and ingredients for cidering and beer brewing are always top notch. I would highly recommend purchasing through them.Also to management - 2 things:1.please open a new store on the West side of ABQ, if the economics can support it. I am sorely missing your store previously attached to Boxing Bear!2. Johnathan deserves a raise or promotion. It is so refreshing to spend hard earned money somewhere that customers are appreciated and taken care of. If all businesses could have a Johnathan working for them, the world would be a more pleasant place.

Poor location but good selection of malted barley. Beer brewing supplys do not have as good a selection as before the sale of the store and name. The number of customers seems to be down, where are the other home brewers going? Maybe I just hit it on slow days....The available yeast are Safale, and Wyeast. No White Labs in sight. Air locks are limited to the cheapest.

Great place to get started in homebrewing or maintaining a kegerator. Ask for Jonathan, he is always motivated to help new starters so dont feel intimidated. Great customer service, I had a sankey coupler I bought that didnt fit and they took the return with no issues and assisted in helping me find a better solution. Thanks Jon!
