Old school liquor store, old like the building was constructed in the 1950s--it even still has the side window from when drive-through liquor sales were allowed. Also old school like your not going to get the latest trendy craft beers here, its basically the beers your grandpa drank in his pick-up truck coming home from the Lobos game in 1977. So lots of Budweiser and Miller products with a smattering of Mexican beers. Because of this I like coming here as an exercise in nostalgia of a time in Albuquerque when Route 66 was still the lifeline of the city.

The best bar in new Mexico. Been around since I was a kid. The guys that work there are awesome and very polite and always treat me with respect when I go in. I grew up with a lot of the guys that work there.

Nit much selection. The meat department is horrible. The meat cutters do not know what theyre doing. Prices are realky good though staff is friendly and theyre always willing to carry out the groceries for the disabled, elderly, and even people with kids sometimes.

Very friendly and consistent multi-lingual staff, with low turnover, reasonable prices, and service with a smile. Occasionally busy, but rarely much of a wait. Sometimes the parking lot is... just a tad sketchy (though Stadium staff do a pretty good job of keeping loitering down, etc.)
