This place is great! Air conditioning was on blast yesterday, which I appreciated. Clean bathroom for customers.There is even a fantastic little selection of nondairy ice creams, which I *think* are a plain coconut base, swirled with whatever flavor you would like. My partner had peanut butter and I chose cinnamon dark chocolate chili. It had a little kick to the end of it. We also enjoyed chilled rosemary infused lemonade—we wanted to try the honey lavender lemonade but they were out as of yesterday.There are gifts and local art lining the walls. We will be back!

The BEST ice cream Ive had, I think EVER...and Im not even an ice cream person! Great friendly service in a lovely little spot in Annapolis! I would go back to this place just for the ice cream! Super creamy and they take the flavors and actually blend it into the ice cream. Ive never had ice cream like that! Portions are huge and the cones are freshly made in house.

The person working the counter was very nice and provided prompt service. The atmosphere is quaint but more so ice cream parlor than coffee shop. It’s basically soft serve made to order with vanilla or chocolate ice cream and your choice of mix-ins. If you’re looking for ice cream by the scoop/cone then this is not for you. It was pricy but the serving size was appropriate for the money. Did not try the coffee. IMO best ice cream in Annapolis. Will most definitely be back!

The smell of freshly made waffle cones hits you as soon as you open the door. Smells amazing. They have a unique way of making the ice cream mixture you want. First you pick vanilla or chocolate and then the spice, candy or other filling you want mixed in. They even have crowd favorites you can choose from. Tastes really good!

Love this place. Red Bean has the best ice cream in Annapolis. Their concept of mixing is also very unique as compared to the other well know shops in the area. With so many add ons and mixing options the numbers flavours are unlimited.

I like the concept of two simple flavors (chocolate or vanilla) and then choose your mix-ins. The ice cream is delicious and the variety of toppings is wonderful! The seating in the front windows is a cool touch.

Didnt even have the coffee, but the ice cream is AMAZING. They blend all the ingredients you pick for your ice cream in this industrial mixer that really brings everything together. The ice cream was super soft, and my wife and I vow to go back here as soon as we reach Annapolis again!

Fantastic ice-cream

I got the raspberry and chocolate, with a chocolate base. It was very tasty, and the scoop was quite large.

What a UNIQUE ice cream experience!! The whole process of making this ice cream was an adventure! It’s like cold stone but instead of scoops it’s like soft serve! So delicious- I got the salted banana Oreo and it was one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had!! Can’t wait to go back! The waffle cones were great as well!

Good affogato, but it was weird that the person working there that day didnt agree to make an affogato with a non typical ice cream flavor (ie not chocolate or vanilla). They had the flavor, they can make affogato, but she refused to make it unless it was vanilla or chocolate. So I ordered an espresso, a separate scoop of flavored ice cream, and then dumped my coffee on the ice cream. Self service it is!

This has become my home away from home during the 2019 legislative session. All the specialty drinks are so good youll have trouble getting a plain (boring) coffee. Super nice staff. Beautiful interior. And today I finally tried a sandwich, which was spectacular!!I cant imagine getting coffee anywhere else in Annapolis!

Incredibly perfect affogatto, ambiance and cleanliness top notch, staff is friendly and quick. Always perfect orders and perfectly roasted coffee and espresso.

Got the peanut butter hot chocolate and a blackberry green tea ice cream cone. Both were amazing, I would definitely recommend it for a pick me up. Next time I visit, Ill go for a coffee and one of their other signature ice cream flavors.

Excellent locally owned coffee shop located downtown Annapolis. The coffee was delicious. I ordered my go-to Carmel macchiato (vanilla Carmel latte). My wife ordered a honey lavender latte which was quite delicious. They also serve ice cream, shakes, teas, and more. I definitely recommend stopping by if you are visiting downtown Annapolis and need a pick-me-up.

The Red Bean is a great coffee shop on West Street, plenty of indoor seating and they make all the coffee in front of you.

I would like to give a huge shoutout to Susana, a few weeks ago I lost my AirPods and I didn’t know where I lost them so I reached out and sent a request to the cafe online ( because they don’t know have a phone number online which is very weird) and they replied and told me they have them but I was already in California so I gave them my address and she actually ended up shipping them to me within a couple days. I’m really grateful for her for not only shipping them to me but for also going through all this trouble and renewing my faith in people :)

One of the best iced lattes I’ve ever had. I got the honey lavender with almondmilk and it was great. My boyfriend got an espresso Oreo milkshake with homemade whipped cream- that was incredible

The Red Bean is a real coffee shop. Sue has done a masterful job of making a space that is both visually interesting and comfortable at the same time. It is the kind of place in which you would like to stay longer, if you only had the time. The staff serve amazing coffee drinks, teas and cocoa, as well as some other treats worth checking out. The music is always right. But dont forget about the ice cream. Sue sources from some of the best local and regional sources and it makes a difference. And the waffle cones, oh yes. They have quirky clerks and have nice array of flavors and provide treat customer service! I personally get a chocolate peanut butter waffle cone and enjoy the night from there! I recommend coming here with friends so you have someone that can experience it too!

Great service, friendly and dedicated. Good cappuccinos. Ice cream is better than average in a town with lots of ice cream shops. Rarely crowded, because there is ample room (the window spaces are fun!), but not a ghost-town, either. They have mugs, too, if you dont like papery coffee or creating necessary waste.

The Red Bean makes, easily, the best coffee and ice cream in Annapolis. Super fresh ingredients in the hand mixed ice cream is how ice cream is supposed to be enjoyed. Try the Honey Lavender Latte if you’re looking for a deliciously different coffee experience.

We love the fact that they use local Trickling Springs milk to make their ice cream. You pick chocolate or vanilla and then they mix it with any number of awesome toppings like pretzels, banana, peanut butter, salt, fresh fruit or candy. They also have coffee, other hot/iced drinks and local snacks. Great addition to Main Street and our go to ice cream shop. Check hours before you go- I think they close Monday

Had a French press and small ice cream. The ice cream was quick and very yummy. The French press took some time, but was very good (time anticipated). We got to sit on a large cushy couch with a nice coffee table so it was relaxing. The vibe was chill, it was clean and nicely designed inside. Free water and a public restroom. Enjoyed.

Amazing ice-cream, best we have had. However dont go there if you are in a rush. Need one more person working. There was a woman working there and she was incredible. We were amazed at how good she was with dealing with so many people in a polite way while making 100 of ice creams.

We decided to stop here instead of Annapolis Ice Cream Company to try something new. Very glad we did! Each of us (three friends) fell into complete silence while eating our ice cream because of how delicious it was. They do something different here - you pick a base flavor (vanilla or chocolate), then they mix flavors of your choice into it, to essentially create a custom ice cream for you. Great variety of options, super tasty ice cream, unique set-up and flavor profile. Definitely worth stopping in!

I had a cold brew and a fruit tart. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was quick, and friendly. Staff was knowledgeable of the area and amenities. Will be returning later today for fresh scones and handmade ice cream!

Very good coffee and service. Awesome ambiance. Their ice cream and pastries look fantastic but I only had a bag of almonds because I am trying to lower my sugar intake. But they are at the top of my list for when I feel like a treat.

This is hands down the best coffee to be had in Annapolis. The prices are fair and quality and service is great. The location is very clean. I personally liked how you can make any flavor ice cream you want. I chose to have pistachio mixed into mine and it was amazing, not just a few pieces but quite a bit of whole pieces of pistachio. I will definitely be returning here.

So, this might be sort of a niche statement, but: If youre coming here expecting Korean ice cream (red bean is a popular flavor there) youll be disappointed.Still, the place is worth the visit: home made waffle cones and tasty toppings.They also have a variety of lime-aids that are unique: blackberry jalapeno, and another with basil. Both are tart, just the slightest bit sweet, and refreshing. The basil one in particular is strong with basil. Delicious.

Excellent. This place does everything right. Delicious ice cream, all-fruit smoothies, and many coffee choices. Typical pricing for the area and other niche coffee shops. Ice cream sizes, for example, might be small for the price, but the ice cream is so rich, they actually turn it to be perfect.

I do not understand the food? They take your ice cream and toppings and pulverize it in a drill-blender contraption. We ordered one of the recommended combos, featuring cookie dough with chocolate ice cream. The blended concoction was repulsive. It was like ice cream mixed with sand, the consistency of wet cat food. We couldnt eat it, the texture was too much.

I try to go to local coffee shops whenever possible, i.e., not Starbucks. But my rule is that the coffee has to be at least as good as Starbucks. Kinda cute shop on right on Main St., but if youre going to be a coffee shop, you must serve really good coffee. Missed that metric a bit.

Can’t speak for the ice-cream.Definitely think they’d be better off playing to the strengths of their ice-cream (because it can’t be any worse than their coffee), and renaming their business something that doesn’t emphasize coffee, because the brew is weak, and they have no idea how to stretch milk.

Ive been here twice now and have enjoyed the experience. Once for tea and most recently for a ice cream dessert with espresso poured ontop, both very tasty! Met the owner last night, very friendly! Next time Im going to try an ice cream cone they looked yummy!

We visited this place for the first time. We ordered 4 hot chocolates, 2 small and 2 mediums. They made them and brought them to the table. The 4 of them were terribly cold, and a quarter of the cup was filled with whipped cream. Kids temperature is usually 90 degrees, but these hot chocolates were definitely below 80 degrees. We traveled 30 minutes to get there and enjoy a HOT chocolate as a family so, we asked them if they could re-heat them. They steamed them again mixing all the whipped cream in it and then topped them off with another quarter-cup-amount of whipped cream, which made extremely sweet. This time, they were just at kids temperature. Their service was ok, but they didnt seem super nice when I told them the beverages were cold. We paid $16 for these bevarages, and no one made sure we were happy and satisfied. They never paid enough attention to us since they were busy talking to their friends who were visiting.

The service and hospitality is excellent. The environment is pleasant. I absolutely love the self serve ice-cream. The coffee is fresh and tasty. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be a returning customer.

This review is for the ice cream as did not get coffee. Ordered a small chocolate ice cream in cone from a very friendly cashier. What I got from the server for $4.75 was a paper cup filled with very soft ice cream and the cone stuck on top, eh? The ice cream was ok tasting but not really worth $4.75 - prices may or may not be competitive with the other ice cream places in downtown historic Annapolis so keep that in mind.

Very low key and not very busy both times I went. The coffee is excellent, Ice cream rich and creamy, and baristas friendly. The stand out is the affogato. The second time, I came back specifically for that. It is literally the best one Ive ever had.
