The COVID Police have taken over the Arlington Courthouse Farmers market. As of 3-13-21 you have to wait upwards of an hour to get in with less than 20 people visible in the market. We had brought our vaccinated 83 year old mother to the market but left after 20 minutes. Eventually the vendors will leave and no market. Great vendors, normally nice market but inaccessible. Thanks for protecting us, requiring mask wearing outside and preventing us from visiting the market. I am feeling safe already.
Good varieties of products along with good vendors. Fresh eggs, fresh fruit, vegetable straight from farms. There are other options for home made cheese, different types of fresh meats, fish, etc. There are also vendors making fresh hot breakfast if ones are into it. Also, parking spaces are widely available. Highly recommended. The only thing is its open only on Saturday. Truly hope that it has more availability.
Always great food and customer service.
I love this Farmers Market. I especially love the ability to buy cash chips with my credit card so that my smaller purchases dont incur a fee. Great options.
I love coming here on Saturday mornings. So much fresh food to choose from, including things I cant find in regular stores. And everything we buy here usually tastes better than store-bought food.
Very good selection.Decen parking and easy to get to. Lines to get in are huge and exposed, though.
There are a bunch of amazing vendors every week at this market. I often get a breakfast burrito and a coffee after buying fresh dairy and produce.
I went at the beginning of June. There were lots of vendors with a good variety of fruits and vegetables. You can also buy meat and fish. We like to eat brunch here at the burrito and crepe spot, but there are also pastries at the bakeshops and excellent apple cider donuts. My toddler loves the free samples.
What a great farmers market! It is considerably smaller than some others (e.g. DuPont) but for most weekends I prefer this as its more low-key. Some of my favorites are the kimchi (YUM!), the olives, and the crepes/burritos, but really it is all great.
Year-round market with a good variety of produce (butchers, dairy, bakeries, etc in addition to fruit and vegetable vendors). Not inexpensive, but everything is fresh and very good. Small section of food vendors if you want to buy breakfast or lunch at the market. Only allows local products/produce, which is great.
Missed it, as closing while walking past. Stopped in marketmaster booth to ask for permission to photograph and got that plus punch wallet business size card for gifts from number of winter visits (10+ iirc) plus schedule and FreshFarm locations card. So apparently can visit other markets like Mosaic and earn credits/punched from there too towards free tote bag, hat, drawing, SWAdG, etc. Timing off and dont go that far very often, walking to convention center from Ballston that day for MotorCycle show, hungry and poor but packed human treats, just too busy to stop and eat. Some human treats/large sampling/tasting would be good, but have to bring a larger food scale for my use as likely want more than 500g the limit of my most portable and small one currently. Maybe have to BiCycle 🚲 to get there on time. Walk🚶♂️ ing all the way home with food not to eat until weighed would be torturous, imo, especially if bakery, pastry, cold thawing frozen dessert like and/or warm and melting GUI (spelling phonetic non tech?) cheese🧀 y, etc 🥧🍩🧁🍰🍪🥠🍦🍧🍨🥯🥐🍕🥪🥙🍧🍒🍓🥤🍋... Not very good photos/vid on wrong setting and cow bell rang around me, got some audio and surprised guy looking at me and camera. Dog 🐕 s seen but just after cow 🐄 bell, so maybe like vacuum cleaners? Went around again and bought stuff, weighed and ate most on site, see photos of interested
What an experience... makes me feel bad for the vendors that they have to deal with the people who run this place.
Has everything you need! Veggies, meat, dairy, flowers, bread, coffee, pickles. The dairy from clear spring is the best!! And no animals under foot to trip on or getting into tangles with each other.
Love the Courthouse farmers market! They have fantastic variety, and very friendly vendors. My favorite stands are Wollam Gardens and El Piquin.
Wonderful people and fresh food.
Lots of neat veggies, some prepared foods
