Subaru dealer said new transmission - $5K plus... was told to come here by a friend. Not the transmission, but a bad axle - they took time to do it right. Forester runs smooth at all speeds now - at 1/10th the cost. Honest, competent and affordable. Thank you Matt

This is a very fair and trustworthy repair shop. I have had 2 experiences here and have been very happy with major repairs done here. It can be worrisome with tranmission/drive train repairs but Matlin will put your mind at ease.

There are so few true mechanics left in our region and Matlins is one of them. Due to the complexity of electronics and proprietary computers installed on new cars, its becoming more and more difficult for a mechanic to do what they did 20 years ago. However they do it, Matlins can work on nearly any car or truck at an incredibly reasonable price. I recently brought in an at 350 super duty that got snow fencing tight around the driveshaft. They spent a day cutting it off with a saw the and torch. Only to learn that I burnt out a bearing in the driveshaft and noticed that the brakes could use some attention. I dont even question that these additional repairs were needed because Matt has proven to be an honest businessman who is always treated me fairly. I got my vehicle back earlier than expected and it cost me less than I thought it would. If you need any kind of mechanical work especially your transmission, issue I strongly recommend a visit to Matlins, you wont regret it. (Local franchise car dealerships use them for transmission work instead of their own mechanics, that should tell you something)

Wonderful service. They took a look at my vehicle and dismissed the the issue team minutes before they were going to close and knowing its have to take it somewhere closer to my home to get it fixed.
