Best way I could describe the vibe of this place is eclectic and bikes. Our initial thought when seeing the menu prices was, this looks a bit higher than what we would have though, but once the food arrived, it was worth every dollar!!! This is probably the best pizza we have ever had and we’d absolutely come again. Our server, Maddie (don’t know if I spelled the name correctly), was AMAZING! There was a situation with another customer at one point during the dinner, and Maddie handled it professionally, when I’d suspect most people would struggle to do so. 10/10 would absolutely come again.
A preferred place for tasty bar food. I like it here always quality food & service. Certainly worth a return visit. Prices are appropriate for the quality. Similar to a place in Denver I loved.
Don’t call this a bike-themed bar; it’s a fuel-station and cultural center for people who rely on bikes and love the community. I enjoyed a ginger beer and their house made corn chips and queso. The chill sidewalk seating made for great people watching. The staff provided quick and friendly service.
The woman behind the bar was nice and helpful in ringing me up when I visited. The management is incredibly rude however.
Stopped in for the steak taco’s and some live music on my bike cruising the city. AMAZING SPOT! Highly recommended. Service was great as well.! Thanks for what you guys put into the city we need more places like this!
Reasonable prices. Great services. Food was delicious. Great food menu. Live music was awesome. Staff were pleasant. Drinks was good.
One of my new favorites in town. Bartenders made me feel at home, and everyone was super friendly. Diverse beer & food selection with a great happy hour. Pizza was as good as Ive had in Baltimore. Large garage door opening makes it great for sunny days.
I rarely give out 5 star reviews because no place is perfect... But it didnt feel right giving it 4.This place nails it. Cool atmosphere. Welcoming and personable staff. Great food. Clean. Music was awesome too. I just really enjoyed it there. I liked the Bloody Mary was on point too with their in house made horse radish sauce I think they said it was?I look forward to coming back here.
Real cool spot. Great coffee, healthy food include BOP pizza, alcohol and you can get your bike fixed there too! What else can you want? Oh yea awesome owners Mark and Marlo making sure the service is always 5 stars!
I went on Wednesday night for reggae music. They had Scotty from jah works playing acoustic. The place is also a functional bike shop. Decorated with bicycles and riding paraphernalia. The service was very good. Pizza was good and cheap since it was happy hour. Burger wasnt fully cooked.
Very happy as soon as I walked in Shannon was very friendly and gave great service. She made suggestions which most bartenders dont do. I love the Sorry Chicky sour ale yummy. I will definitely be back if I can get in when this spot gets busy. Really Cool without out the edge.
Water / drinks tasted old...bring your own straws potentially. it was hard to talk because of the live music but it was cool to be there with them. I wish we could have supported the group playing a bit more. Now the food.. the burger seemed uncooked but it was done but still pink in the middle. The flan was interesting to consume.. the fries were good but its hard to mess up fries! I wouldnt necessarily go back here again but its a good place to try! There is wheelchair accessible seating but im not sure if the doors / entrance is fully accessible.Employees were pretty nice and energetic.
This atmosphere, music and food at this place is amazing! I absolutely loved the margarita pizza with nice crust, and there was even live acoustic music to make our visit memorable. Highly recommended
A perfect spot to grab a beer after work or a banger breakfast before. The breakfast burrito is top-notch. Super good vibes here, love sitting at the bar with the garage door open. This spot is a gem and Baltimore is lucky to have such a solid spot.
LOVE this place! Brent the barman is THE MAN! Friendly staff, great food, cool atmosphere. Bobby Smith Band is perfect!
One of the top 5 worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. The waiter was so rude he made ignorant comments that showed he had zero customer service skills. He almost made us leave on the spot with his ignorant comments. We only stayed due to hunger and the hopes the food would redeem the terrible staff (it didnt). He left dirty dishes, didnt offer another mixed drink, took 15 minutes to say they didnt have a certain beer but made no other suggestions, then to top it off said my sister should go inside to see what they have and she should know what she wants. If thats his sense of humor he needs to find different job. It took us an hour and half to get our food all we ordered was nachos and burritos. There were only 4 or 5 tables with customers it shouldnt take that long to serve us without an explanation or apology. The food was beyond bland and the meat was so dry it was almost jerky. The menu said the chips were house made but they were definitely out of a bag. I would compare their nacho chesse to 7/11.It was an all around bad experience not worth one visit...sorry we wasted money there. I would say they had an off night but looking at other negative reviews they are right on par with our experience. This restaurant will not make it, if they dont make serious changes. People will not come for a second visit if they have keep this up. I know we will not return.
Such a cool vibe. Great food, lots of vegan options. Good music and videos playing.
Great service! Great music! Great bikes! Will come back.
Unique outdoor bar cafe space w/bike theme. Hence, the name. Live music every nite, but TUES. Enjoyed Vaughns polite & attentive service. Patrons can order wine by the bottle. Tasty margarita pizza w/fresh mozzarella. Interested in buying HandeBar T-shirt, but color/sizes are limited. MGR needs to order more variety. Good way to advertise.
The weather was nice when i came here. I went to carch my friends band, The Golden Guns. It was really nice to sit inside but be outside. The pizza is good, they also have tacos.
Great staff! Ready to help at any point. Coffee is banging! Good spot for a business lunch over drinks during the week.Didnt give 5 stars cause nobodys perfect.
Went for breakfast and really enjoyed it. Awesome atmosphere--Ill definitely be back for a lunch or dinner and I especially cant wait to check it out on a summer evening. Food was very solid all around and I would recommend it.
Ive been here a few times and never been disappointed with the food. The meatball appetizer is messy to share but its darn food. Get the cauliflower app if you want something spicy. Pizzas, burritos, and beer list are all great!
We really enjoyed the live music and Keisha the bartender was very nice however Id stick with beer although the foam was more than the actual drink. The pizza was disappointing but we did enjoy the beef empanadas. It was definitely a one time visit for us. We also noticed a lot of customers left due to slow or lack of service.
Cool chill spot for lunch. Great tequila shot and beer special for $5. I love bikes!
What an awesome spot! Food was great, service was quick and friendly, and the live music was really good. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a chill environment!
Quickly becoming my favorite Baltimore spots. Coffee shop by day, Low-key bar by night. Great breakfast & lunch/dinner options, too. Oh, and theres a bike shop in the back for all your cycling needs.
Great people and great food. Marla is a gem. The rides they do are super fun and all inclusive. Great espresso, too. You know they do it the right way when they only have one size cappuccino.
I had a great experience all around. Great food and drink, really friendly wait staff, and really cool (bicycle themed) decor/ambiance. Theres even a full-service bike repair shop! I would recommend this place for food/drink & bike repair.
Nice, new spot. Great locale for watching Tour de France and grabbing a bite. Nice selection of coffee drinks, solid if limited menu, and you can eat or drink while they do maintenance on your bike just a few feet away in the back.
Food was decent and the atmosphere was great but let’s talk about the service. We sit down as first time costumers and waited so long for a waiter that we were sure we messed up and should have gone to the bar or something. Then the water and coffee took 10 minutes after ordering and the food took about 30-40 minutes. Portions were pretty small too. They told us the kitchen was slammed but there were maybe 8 people there tops. We saw upwards of 6 staff members around the main area and bar and to have such slow drink service and initial service is crazy. A lot of other brunch spots in Fells to go to. We visited on the 17th of November at 9:30 in the morning.
Great food. Great service. Showed up for the first time and got treated like old friends. Amazing.
Nice staff. Cool spot. Cauliflower was awesomeCant wait to try the pizza. Definitely a return visit soon
Great vibes, excellent service, delicious food - all at a reasonable price. Cant say enough good things about this place. So lucky to be a local!
Quirky little place devoted to cycling and cyclists. First stumbled on it one afternoon while wandering around the city. Liked sitting outside but moved inside to listen to live music. Haven just eaten at another place we only had drinks. The menu did intrigue us so my wife and I looked it up when we returned to Baltimore. This time for the food and music.Live music was being played by the band. We knew from experience that it is mostly self serve, as in many bars. We went up to get our menus and drinks. We returned to the bar to order food. Bartender delivered it in good time. We ate burgers that had good and appropriatee toppings. Aioli, onion jam and lettuce. What impressed me the most was the meat Patty - freshly made, not over worked but tender and juicy. Perfect! I will try their pizza next time in Baltimore.
Super cool bike shop with great food. Literally the slowest and most unresponsive service. Not a lack of staffing, just ridiculously slow people.
Very cool place, service was very friendly. Their Mission burrito was amazing! Loved the bicycle theme. Highly recommend.
Although I enjoyed my experience at this bar, the bartender charged my debit card the wrong amount. After contacting the manager, he told me he would reverse the charge and even send a gift card in the mail. However, it has been months and neither have happened.
It is such a fun place, and I have not had a bad drink there yet. The service is excellent, and the music is good.I dont go for the food. In all fairness I have only ordered and eaten the brussel sprouts, and they were not good. The other items on the menu seem a lil pricey to me. But none of those things stops me from going to this very cool and friendly spot.
Its a bar where you can also get bike maintenance done. Good brunch and food. And its not over the top where a non cyclist would feel out of place. Great addition to the neighborhood.
The crew in the bike shop is always friendly! Thanks for helping me with new lights!
Cool place. Relaxed atmosphere. The kind of place where you could go with a group and everyone would be pleased, whether you want a whole meal, or just a beer, or just coffee and a snack, or whatever.
Incredible wood-fired pizza! Also a great selection of $3 beer, and...atmosphere. Annnnd a bike shop.
Great tasting good with a variety of choices. Fantastic casual atmosphere with the bi-cycles and bi-cycle accessories surrounding you. Staff is friendly and quick to meet your gustational needs. Check out the posters and maps under the thick protective table coatings. They also have simulated velo racing that you can compete against others in the bar area.
What a great place...loved it. We had an appetizer of meatballs which was delish...followed by margherita & pepperoni pizzas...both excellent. We capped it off with excellent lattes...coffee was delicious!! Combo bike shop/grill & it works...highly recommend it!!
Stopped by for lunch today and after about 20 min or so the waiter who was very friendly told us that he did not know where the chef had went and our food had not been made. He asked my friend who had asked for a pizza if he would like to switch to a burger because now someone was there to cook but I didn’t really understand why he could not get his pizza. After about another 20 min or so we told the other gentlemen working there to let the waiter know we could not wait any longer because we needed to get back to work. We left the cafe and the second gentlemen came out and stated that a well done burger takes 20 min as if we should have been patient and had not already waited long enough. I did not understand all the confusion with trying to get a meal and I did not appreciate the employees attitude as if we were not patient after waiting almost an hour. I think this is something for the manager to address as this is not how paying customers should be treated.
Kind of slow but good food although not much of a selection. Good drinks and great music
Waiter working last night 8/29 was rude and slow and inefficient. Made comments like, do you want to get up and read the draft beers or oh youre one of those. He left us for 25 minutes and then came back and told us they didnt have a certain beer. Only one of us ordered a drink and he never asked if she wanted a refill. Food took over an hour to come out and while we hoped the food would be redeeming, it turned out to be bland. We left the food on the table...even an app that we had boxed up. Just wasnt good food or service.
Good beer selection, good food the few times Ive indulged, and friendly staff. Plus, bikes baby! And, coffee. Excellent.
Great atmosphere.. Live music. Great service
Very unique place that is a bicycle shop and a bar that serves very good pizza. Highly recommend!
This place is a gem, great music, phenomenal vibe with a costa rican surfing flavor. Its the kind of place you wish was better known because it should be-but then you hesitate-because the feel it has is perfect the way it is. GO there.
Great food and hospitality by our server. We felt like family! Thank you Lexi!!
Handle bar is casual and enjoyable given its biking theme and modern American menu. The coffee is worth a morning visit if you walk from Fells to the harbor for work everyday.
NICE LOCATION THATS ABOUT IT. THE OWNER IS A NASTY JERK UNPROFESSIONAL MORE WORRIED ABOUT WHATS GOING ON OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT THAT WHATS INSIDE, I ORDERED FOOD IT WAS MESSED UP NOT EVEN HOT NOT TO MENTION TOOK FORVER TO COME THE WORKERS ARE VERY SLOW & FORGETFUL I ASKED TO SPEAK TO HIM SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE LEAVING I WAS TOLD HES HANDLING BUSINESS WITH CARS BEING DOUBLE PARKED AND PARKED ILLEGALLY FOR PEOPLE AT THE SCHOOL ABOVE HIM WHEN I LOOKED OUT THE DOORS HE WAS ONLY TAKING PICTURES AND ARGUING WITH A LADY WITH HER CHILD, HES RACIST AND A HORRIBLE OWNER I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN A HOMELESS PERSON FOR FREE FOOD...THIS GETS NO STARS I ONLY PUT 1 BECAUSE WITHOUT IT I WOULDNT BE ABLE TO POST THIS....OH AND THE LIVE BAND LOOK CONSISTS OF PEOPLE THEY RACKED UP FROM THE NEAREST SENIOR CITIZEN HOME JUST AWFUL ALL AROUND
Great atmosphere, good food, and reasonably priced beer! A bikers paradise!
Great brunch! Excellent drinks. Bottomless mimosas for $12
Great place! Very easy going and relaxed atmosphere with a very attentive staff. Service for food and drinks was quick and prices were fair to low for the high quality.I plan to go back.
I found this place to be very pleasant. Really good food, good service, good music.
The staff is very friendly, and the bicycle motif is fun. However, the food is very expensive for what is given. The menu claims that you can make substitutes. I asked for beans rather than french fries in my burrito. No notice was given that youre charged $1 for every substitute, and you dont even get that item that was substituted. I ask for salsa and received a very small possibly 1 oz cup. And again, another $1 charge. I ended up paying twice as much for half the amount of food I could have gotten elsewhere.
Good food, not expensive and friendly staff. Great coffee
Best Burgers and Brick Oven Pizza in town. Also the staff very helpful and friendly.
Dropped in to do some work and have a latte, but after ordering was told that espresso machine was broken. Said it would be fixed in 10-15 mins, I waited for over 45 mins for the waitress to come back before leaving and heading down the street to teavolve. Such a cute ambiance and I really wanted to be able to give this place a good review as I love local cafes- but was disappointed.
Lmao my phone thought I was here but I wasnt. My phone kept nagging me to review this place so whatever. Here you go, have a free 5 star review. Im sure if I owned a bike Id come here often.
Been dying to check this place out, fun atmosphere, live music, good beer. What more could you ask for? Well Ill tell you, some advice on bikes for kids, they had that too!
Good food. Great prices. We will be back.
Great food, fast service. Laid back atmosphere.
Awesome place! Bikes, brews and bites. Veggie hash and (home made) bloody Mary is fantastic.Marla Streb hostessing. Well be back.
A hidden gem in downtown Baltimore, a hip spot with nice decor and great pizza.
Many vegan and vegetarian substitues for their menu options. Delicious salsa.
Any place with a nice atmosphere, solid menu, and 3 buck draft list is fine by me. Entire front of the place opens up so its great on a nice night.
Cool coffee and bike shop, open late with good vibes.
Sweet place, great service, awesome owner, good pizza while you wait on your bike to get fixed and the best wheelbuilder in town.
It was uncomfortably hot and the pizza wasnt very good. Nice atmosphere and plenty of good drinks to choose from.
It is a good place has nice setup but the pizza is ok not the best good fries it is ok
Great cafe with some vintage bicycles hanging around, also happy hour is just plain killer!!!
Bikes, beer, coffee, and excellent food. This place has everything Im looking for in a restaurant. I intend to become a regular here.
Great atmosphere, people, wood fire oven, prices for drinks.
Very cool atmosphere. I ordered the El Cajon burrito, their veggie burrito. It was super tasty.
I love the resturant. Great food and service.
Service was extremely slow. While food was good, very overpriced for what you got.
Amazing food and service used to be the norm...and then wasnt and now Chris has redeemed it. Keep her forever.
Great live music, friendly service, nice beer selection.
Good times and great food at the Handlebar tonight. Excellent cauliflower, vegan burrito and dessert!
Since 4.5 stars isnt an option, I will give them 5.The food and drinks are a 5. We ordered nachos, pizza, Mission burrito, blue MF (alcoholic drink) and beignets. All were 5 out of 5. Im pretty sure the caramel sauce and whipped cream are made from scratch and it was so good. Ive had other beignets and these are right in line.We had never been there before so walking in, we didnt know if it was seat yourself, wait to be seated or what. My husband tracked down someone at the bar who found us a table in the back. Still not sure how to be seated.I was there with my 5 year old and my 10 month old also and no problems. They seem very kid friendly although I didnt see a kids section on the menu. My 5 year old ate the always kid friendly: pizza. Our server was new so a little slower than I would expect but hey, everyone was new at a job once before! Bar service was speedy though. The bathrooms were clean.Staff spoke when walking by while making eye contact. They had live music and that was great! He covered different songs from different genres.Did I mention the beignets???
Great pizza and chille and plenty of bike parking.
Brilliant, breakfast is really good and bikers and non bikers are greeted with smiles alike.
Good place with drinks and live music
I loved the atmosphere and the food!
Great atmosphere and service. Great prices on drinks as well
Like the vibe, can be a good addition for little Italy, to be considered as a neighborhood bar
