In March, 2020, we sought online sales help from Standard TV and Appliances to replace a built-in microwave/convection oven purchased less than 2 years earlier (not from Standard). Our sales rep was Cody Jones. Cody was extremely informative, helpful, patient and kept in touch from order to delivery. We even talked briefly after the install.Sad to say, less than 18 mos. later, that appliance failed and needed to be replaced again. This time, no surprise, we wanted a different brand but were concerned about size/dimensions and compatibility w/the wall oven it would sit above. We reached out to Standard again online and were pleasantly surprised to be connected once again with Cody. Just like before, Cody helped by answering questions and concerns quickly and efficiently and without making us feel unintelligent.The new microwave model and trim kit that we’d decided on was not in stock at Standard, but could be ordered. Ultimately, we chose another company that could get the items to us sooner. However, based on both our interactions with Cody, we would happily recommend Standard to friends//family for a better-than-standard customer service experience. Thanks, Cody.
I adore standard tv and appliance! Its so great to be able to support a local business and they simply have an amazing selection. My only gripe is with the website which leaves much to be desired. It was impossible to tell what dishwashers were in stock so I had to call the store and talk to a sales person. Who ended up being very informative and friendly. I found out that the customer service bot on the website is actually a real person and not a bot so she was able to guide me through paying for the dishwasher I needed and I was able to pick up the same day at their Portland warehouse. Such a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much Linda!
If you order online they will not deliver to the Beaverton store. The sales team do not want to be bothered by purchases they do not make commission on. So for those on the west side be willing to drive to south east or look elsewhere.

Standard is a name that has been used by my family for decades because of quality and service and ease of getting what we wanted. This time didnt disappoint, our freezer of over 50 years finally quit, everything was lost! We needed a big chest freezer asap... and couldnt find one anywhere, let alone a person who cared enough or knew about their merchandise. No store could match what we got here; even though I was skeptical at first, virtual shopping, not seeing our sales guy.Delivery went without a hitch, personable, clean. Huge truck for one item, but ...Big thanks to Gary Vale for going above and beyond for us, this is why we are willing to go back to a trusted source and pay a little more.
We just had our new refrigerator delivered and are absolutely thrilled with it. The delivery people Charley and Robbert were awesome. They removed our old unit and installed it in the garage and then they installed the new one in our house. They were super nice and patient while we prepped the area.
I had a need for an unusual-sized refrigerator. None of the big box stores were helpful. Linda was AWESOME. She even went so far as to arrange same day delivery! Tristan and Caleb continued the outstanding service. They were friendly, respectful and thorough.

The Standard TV and Appliance crew has been nothing but professional with our delivery and install. The first attempt to get the fridge to the second floor of my condo had some minor damage, but within the day the QA team with standard was calling to repair all damages and set up a new deliver date with their A-team. When they came out for attempt 2 Charlie and Richard installed everything quickly without and problems this time. Tip of the hat to them because our staircases are not the easiest to work with. The best thing about Standard TV and appliance is that while mistakes can happen, they own responsibility and make sure the job gets done right at the end of the day.
Our 20-year-old wall oven/microwave combo is not long for this world, and trying to find a suitable replacement in a time of COVID and supply chain disruption has been epic. But I finally found one locally after visiting Standard TV & Appliance’s website and chatting with Salesperson Cody. It was a super-easy transaction, and now I’m settling in for a hopefully not-so-long wait. Fingers crossed that my old oven survives long enough for the new one to arrive.
We were very pleased with our experience at Standard TV & Appliance. We went to the big blue store and orange store for a washer and dryer but was not pleased with the experience. Then a friend recommended going here and the price couldn’t be beat! Cody was phenomenal!! He was extremely helpful, informative, communicative and helped us get the best price. Absolutely the best experience! We’ll be buying a home soon and will definitely be coming here for ALL our appliances! Thank you for such great service. I have been nothing but disappointed with this company. First of all, we had to wait over six months to get our new refrigerator. Second of all, the fridge has never worked properly. It is very loud, unlike our old refrigerator, which was the same brand and model and was only two years old, purchased at Lowe’s. Unfortunately that fridge died in the February Portland ice storm. We had a technician from Standard out yesterday to try to fix the problem, and he did something to mess up the water line. Now, we don’t have water from the fridge. I called the service dept. to have them come back to fix the water and was told that it’s going to be a week for them to come back to fix a problem that THEY created! Unacceptable! And to top it all off, while I was making the appointment, the service representative hung up on me before I was even done talking. I will never EVER do business with this company ever again! Go to Lowe’s, Home Depot or Basco instead!
I was a bit jaded on replacing my dishwasher as each of my appliances seem to be dropping off bi weekly. I am very hands on and have pretty loyal ties to another small appliance shop but they didn’t have much on hand and going to the big box retailers…. Taking home appliances home with you and NOT getting them delivered… is blasphemy.Being very frustrated with my search I decided to look up Standard last night and tried out the text feature. It was past hours and was told I’d get a message ASAP. I also reached out to another appliance store as well. See who gets there first right? Well, 8:02 boom the model your looking for is in stock. I asked some questions we went over some details. It was cordial and friendly and it was with a actual person. I’m quite busy during the day and being able to text when I’m free… super nice.So got it picked out, Linda asked if I was going to pick it up or have it delivered. Wow I’ll will pick it up thank you! Sent me a link to pay for it. I mean…. Perfect perfect transaction for someone like me who’s busy and does his own research. Linda killed it, client for life.
Our refrigerator went out while we were out of state on vacation. With Covid it is very hard to find appliances in stock. We tried all the big box stores and nobody had anything I needed. I went online while I was out of state to Standard Tv and appliance to find one and ended up chatting with a very helpful sales person Linda. We ended up buying it online. The delivery was like 3 weeks out but she kept trying and trying to get us in sooner and she did! We are so appreciative! The delivery people were wonderful, on time and very courteous and professional! Thank you Standard TV and Appliance. We will shop with you from now on and recommend you to others
I have purchased a dishwasher, refrigerator, range, hood, washer and dryer here. Each time the experience has been top-notch but what has sealed the deal recently is the way weve been taken care of when our new dishwasher broke. The manufacturer told us that they didnt have any spare parts due to the pandemic, which I believe, but after three months with no new part I reached out to Standard TV and Appliance to see if they could help.Their Customer Relations department, with Sarah at the helm, took it upon themselves to not only work with the repair company but the manufacturer as well to get us a replacement. They did this all within just a couple of days after I called and they continued to stay in contact with me to make sure I knew the exact status.Thats service and thats why Ill be recommending Standard TV and Appliance to anyone who will listen.
Frigid Hospitality . .Picked out a refrigerator weeks ago, put down 50% to reserve it & schedule eventual delivery.We were never notified that they were having trouble getting it (we had to call them) and that they werent going to be able to get it for us much less on time for our move into our new home construction.When we went back to Standard TV & Appliance to see about finding another refrigerator we were not greeted by anyone, we found our salesman at his desk who never got out of his chair btw, scarcely looked us in the eye and just said Where do you want your money refunded?Isnt it your salespersons job to help you find a replacement if the refrigerator you initially purchased from him is no longer available due to shortages from the pandemic or whatever unforeseen reason??I dont know about you but I dont call that salesmanship and I dont think standard TV and appliance would appreciate having a salesperson like that on the payroll. I know I wouldnt if I were the owner of that store.I do not recommend this store. I know I will never be going back. Brrrrr...I found my refrigerator somewhere else later that day and its on order its coming the day I want it to arrive no thanks to standard TV and appliance or Jimmy.

Big selection and price range of many brands and products. More on line I was told. Going in to get help wasnt much better than no help on phone when sales person told me they didnt have electric stove tops, when actually they do. Apparently not a big commission item. Vibe I got was they are big, established, get big sales and arent as interested in little old me and a small sale. Have yet to compare prices and choices elsewhere. Otherwise, I have heard good things about this place.
I dont know the name of the person that helped me, but my entire purchase process was done via their chat system. They were quick to respond. The chat process was efficient, and they even sent the payment link through the secure system. I think both I and the person helping me learned something during the process. It requires being very specific in regards to item information and delivery time. There was a miscommunication, but they were on top of it and fixed it immediately. The service they provided was not something you tend to get at big box stores. Their prices are a bit higher, and they do charge for delivery, but I found it well worth it for the one-on-one communication and that I was helping out a local store. We now have a new appliance, and we received it much faster than the big box store was going to deliver. Also, the delivery people were very nice and professional. Their names were Milton and Eugene.
Very good customer service but very lacking on inventory. If you put an order in you may not get for weeks or months or who knows when. Not their fault but still fustrating!
To experience the class system in 2021. My family lives in an apartment complex. I Wash cloths for 5 people. My washer has been broken for over a month and a half. I have had 3 appointments with standard moving on my 4th. Though lets count it as the 3rd since they never showed up for that appointment. Even after calling multiple times through out the day. They called at the end of the day after giving us a 8 hour window. They have now cost us a whole week worth of wages for what?. They have vost us our rent that is how much time they have cost for lying and no shows. Becuase i am not in a house i dont derserve to be able to wash my clothes?
Thank you to Darrell and Alan for superior install of our condo dishwasher and range hood on 1/28/2021 in Lake Grove! Darrell worked magic installing both products into very unique 1978 retro kitchen spaces. He is a perfectionist. Alan was his supportive, hands-on intern and so fortunate to work/train alongside such a talented installer, Darrell..! They were professional, personable, polite, and very focused in their work ethic. It was their last stop of the day and they treated our job like royalty! They protected counters and floors, took old appliances away, and left the place as clean as they found it. Standard Appliance is lucky to have Darrell and Alan on their team!
Our refrigerator died.. After several attempts to repair, we realized we needed to replace it. It was Friday afternoon.. I called Standard to inquire what models they had in stock. A few minutes later, we made a choice and had delivery scheduled for that afternoon. Though I do not recommend making such a large purchase without physically seeing it, I had immediate trust and confidence in Cody. He worked diligently to get us something fast... we virtually measured, exchanged photos and specifications... he was so patient with my neurotic level of indecision. The crew showed up just a few hours later, carefully removed the corpse of our old fridge and installing the new. This crew was great too.. On a Friday evening, doing a fairly difficult install.. joyfully and professionally. I need to work with Standard on a few other appliances! Thanks Cody and team!
I needed a new refrigerator for my garage right away when I called on Monday. Ziggy was able to find me what I needed in the inventory. And Patrick and Robert delivered it on Saturday as promised. Im very pleased with the service.
My home in Oregon is an Airbnb and I haven’t been able to visit in 18 months due to the pandemic. Realized the dishwasher is in awful shape and needs to be replaced. Contacted Standard online and received a text message shortly thereafter. In about 45 minutes I was given all available options in stock, installation schedule and paid for a new dishwasher. It was almost too easy!
Great to chat via text and the people texting were responsive and helpful. The only negative feedback would be to have more review information (or a link) for each model on the website.

Our elderly parents got a refrigerator with an extended warranty. After just over a year, they had an issue with it and it has taken them over a month of calls and requests to get them to come and fix it. They FINALLY came and did the repair but it has not fix the issue. Now they are just putting them off again telling them they will see what they can do.They have been without a working fridge for over 4 weeks now. This is not right, they should be replacing or repairing this right away. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS they do not keep their promises.
James G and Troy were awesome in delivery of our new WOLF stove. We had lots of questions and they were put in a little bit of a bad position, but they handled it with grace, humor and professionalism. This was our second delivery with Troy and we have one more coming so maybe we will make it 3.

Bought a new appliance suite from Standard. Because of the pandemic we had a wait on our refrigerator but it finally arrived and its great - even better? delivery and set up by Alex and Pat was outstanding.
The showroom and display are quite nice and the staff treats you well. The delivery of the product and communication was very poor. I did not receive calls prior to the installation group arriving and they had not previously assessed the area for installation. As a result they were not prepared to get the range installed appropriately. I placed several calls to Standard staff which were not returned. I would not recommend them to anyone purchasing high end products.
We experienced great service by our sales rep, Michael Zhu who gave us advice & suggestions on our kitchen appliance choices. Also want to mention the delivery guys, Milton & Eugene; very personable & helpful! The personnel is wonderful!
After doing some research and deciding on some possibilities for a new dishwasher, I contacted Linda at Standard TV and Appliance via their chat link. Over the next half-hour or so we discussed several models, finally deciding on a Bosch 800 series. Throughout the process, Linda was knowledgeable and very helpful, locating a model in our price range and ensuring it was available. This was the first time I ever made a purchase of this magnitude via chat and it couldnt have been easier. Thanks!
If I could give a zero review I would. Worse experience Ive had at an appliance shop. Salesman was not knowledgeable about the products and seemed dismissive at times. Carried a sense of arrogance like I was putting him out by asking questions. Bought a washer/dryer that didnt do what he said it would. At least customer relations was understanding once I was able to reach them. Theyre impossible to reach as they dont post their number on their website, and I got bounced around between departments until someone finally gave me their number. Sales manager literally told me.it wasnt his problem. Our sales person wouldnt call back and no other sales person was willing to help with another peraons client. In the end after several weeks they were willing to exchange for another model. They wanted to just deliver the dryer as the washer wouldnt be in for several weeks which seemed ridiculous. Overall this company really doesnt care a bit about customer service- a far cry from decades past.
My dishwasher started leaking about 2 weeks ago. I had a hard time finding a new dishwasher during this time of Covid-19. Home Depot was out of dishwashers with no date of resupply. Lowes was down to a few cheap options. Costco was offering a delivery date in mid October. I called Standard TV and Appliance, the sales person, Glenn, told me about a few models they had in stock. I was sold sight unseen on a Kitchenaid model. He worked on getting me an install date of a week. Installer, Kevin, arrived promptly at 8:00 am, was very professional. He hauled the old one away amd installed the new one. He was out the door by 8:30 am. He asked me to let the dishwasher run on a rinse cycle, I couldnt even hear it was on. It looks great and cleans great. Very impressed with the whole experience. I will now call Standard TV & Appliance first when I need a new appliance. Great job and very impressed.
Yesterday my dryer died and today I have a whole new set up, thanks to the nice people at Standard. It was easy, no pressure, and I got just what I wanted. Delivery was quick and efficient. I will be back.
We have a new kitchen without a refrigerator. We ordered a refrigerator at the beginning of August, 2020. It still has not arrived. When we ask they say its always on the next truck. Its now March, 2021. The next truck arrives later this month. The other matching appliances were installed in October by our general contractor. This company has been such a disappointment with no solutions.
I’ve tried really hard for 6 months to get warranty service for very expensive appliances that I purchased from them. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt for a long time and exercised a lot of patience. At this point I’ve lost trust in their ability to serve me as a customer.
We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in July 2019, along with an extended 5-year warranty. In April 2021 we began having problems with it not cooling properly. We had to wait 2 weeks for a service technician to arrive. He found 2 parts not working properly, and these would be ordered. Another two weeks has passed and Standard refused to send the technician out, even though one of the parts was received, as they did not want to make 2 trips to a customer. We have been without a fully functioning refrigerator for almost a month, and Standard will still not do anything to take care of their customer. This is the last appliance we will but from this store.
Easy to make the deal, work out delivery, and they beat both the appliance AND delivery price of a competitor! That feels just as good as supporting a local business. Thank you, Linda, and Standard TV & Appliance, Beaverton!
I have been getting my appliances here for more than 10 years. I have always felt like the sales people are there of you and not the other way around. Always friendly. Ask for help understanding different models and options and they take the time to make sure you understand what you are buying.
They saved the day when our fridge died and we needed a new one.They were very responsive and got us to us same dayWill plan to use them again in the future if necessary

Horrible customer service; no follow-through when theres a problem.We bought a house in May, and I called Standard in Beaverton regarding extended warranties we have on our washer and dryer we purchased there. I was told we had to have them re-installed at the new house to keep the extended warranty valid (which later proved to be false and unnecessary). I was also told that this required a new power cord for the dryer and all new hoses for the (steam) dryer and washer. Part of the installation also included reversing the dryer door as the machines were now arranged in an opposite configuration.The installation team showed up, spent 9 minutes in our home (I have it on surveillance footage) and literally connected the machines using all of the old hoses and power cable, not even leaving the new ones behind, as I had been charged for them on my invoice. They did not reverse the dryer door. They left a 2 x 4 pool of standing water on the floor and walked away.I called immediately and complained to Standard, and they wanted to send a new team out to get it right. This second team didnt show up for the appointment, and I phoned again, demanding a refund, no longer interested in incompetent and poor service. I was transferred to Jackie at the Warehouse, who was fantastic in her customer service and in helping resolve this problem. Unfortunately, the folks in accounting failed to issue any refund. This led to literally five additional phone calls to Jackie over the course of three months, from June 2020 to September 2020. She couldnt believe the refund hadnt been issued, and seemed to do everything within her power each time to facilitate a refund, but others in the Standard administration failed on their end. Kudos to Jackie, even though the problem hadnt been resolved after multiple attempts.After the last time I spoke to a manager in early October 2020, I was told the refund credit would show up in my bank account within a few business days, and to call if I didnt see it there within 2 weeks.2 weeks later.....no refund!I phone Standard customer relations on Oct. 30, 2020 and spoke to Justin, the only other helpful employee Ive encountered in the 5 months it took to resolve this. He physically walked to the accounting department while I was on hold and had them push the refund through. As of this morning, Halloween, the $164 credit is in my account.I feel like I earned that money back in the 8 phone calls I made and the time I spent trying to resolve this problem of poor service, both in the installation department and in the customer service department.After being a loyal Standard customer for years (not to mention my parents who used them for decades), I will be parting ways with them and purchasing my appliances elsewhere.Thank you to Jackie and Justin for your diligence and care.
They made the online buying experience really easy. I could leave for a couple of hours and then text back. Once I had picked the item, my sales rep (Vadim) sent me an invoice for review. Once I had review he sent me a secure payment link with delivery scheduled for the next day. Easy as can be.
Had a great experience with Keith helping us buy a dryer. Delivery was a month out but he called me when they had a cancellation and got me in the next day. He was also super knowledgeable but not pushy. For someone sick of Home Depot this was an awesome experience.
This was our third time buying from Standard and had an awesome experience as always. Working with their text team, we were able to safely identify and purchase our new dishwasher in just a few minutes. Great service as always!
Edit: today we got a brand new range. That was good. Still broken is the warming drawer. Technician said 2 weeks for parts for something that was supposed to be brand new! The technician also discovered the brand new oven is missing screws and metal shroud that covers the blower! Another missing part and another delay. So far 3-4 appliances came broken, bare or missing parts. We think they actually may have tried to strip parts from our appliances. Unbelievable amount of time, cost and labor lost!Still no call from a manager or any response from them here on google for over 2 weeks.Heard back from the salesman and we were told the range that the delivery guys sent was probably a different unit than the one we purchased. Then he said he would personally deliver on Saturday a brand new working appliance. However we have not received anything yet! We also discovered today during install that our hood is missing the clips to put the stainless shroud around the vent. We still have no resolution on the fraudulent broken range unit with the different serial number and now we have a 3rd appliance that was delivered bare or missing parts.He also stated over 2 weeks ago a service guy would come out to investigate why the warming drawer was used with food and construcion adhesive and the door not closing. Still no call!To sum up: We received 2 broken items plus one missing parts!! Over 3 weeks and no resolution. Just lies and and more deceptionThey do not follow their word even after admitting fault. We have been scammed by this company. It is illegal to bait and switch products. The cost of delays and labor are running up. We will have to take this to our lawyers if we dont get this fixed soon.--------------------------------------------------------------------------original post--------------------Still waiting to hear back from Jason. They sold us a gas range without its gas regulator and it has 3 different knobs and the middle 2 knobs dont work! The unit was delayed in arriving luckily we had a picture from the showroom and we tested the knobs which worked perfectly on the floor model we purchased. See the photos. A warming drawer that the door doesnt close, had food remains, plastic and glue inside. Supposedly it was a floor model but the one we purchased was clean and unused and the door closed perfectly. Finally they sold us a hood with a bent up screen. We spent thousands of dollars. Called and sent emails with these photos but at this point we dont have 3 of the 5 appliances we bought functioning.
Do NOT purchase from this store!! ( if you expect any customer service). We purchased a washer and dryer from this store last year.We also purchased the extended warranty. We have been trying for over TWO weeks to get any kind of service from them. We finally got a service “appointment” (hah), and when that day arrived, nobody called or showed up. After calling again, and waiting another HOUR on hold, we were given a lie that they were still waiting on parts for our machine ( they haven’t even been out to look at it yet..). Then we were told we couldn’t have an appointment at this time. Clearly, they do not have any service people lined up to meet their need. We will NEVER buy from this outfit again.
My sales person, Jimmy Goepferd, at the Hall Blvd location in Beaverton was spectacular. I purchased several large kitchen appliances from him during the busiest time of the year, and his service never wavered. He was consistently responsive, knowledgeable, and accommodating - and I am a pretty particular customer. I recommend Jimmy without reservation. I cant say enough about my recent experience with a sales rep at the Beaverton Standard TV and Appliance location. Courtney was a gem to work with and worked tirelessly to find a refrigerator that was a non-standard size, which is really hard to come by in these strange COVID times. We found one that was the correct size only to find out it would not fit through the entry way up to the kitchen! No worries though, the delivery guys remeasured the entry ways and Courtney found a great fridge that was in stock! I have purchased all my appliances from Standard and have always had great experiences, but after this experience as long as Courtney is with Standard TV I will buy all my future appliances from her!
The associate who helped me with my purchase went above and beyond to get me a dishwasher in a reasonable timeframe. The one I picked was not in stock. I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing. My husband and I walked in and were completely ignored. Finally, someone came to us to help and we worked with a guy named Keith. He seemed nice at first and we made our purchase. We were under the impression that we would have someone install our stove at no cost unless it was something more time consuming. So they came to deliver and I agree that installation would be more time consuming due to a different fan for the downdraft. However, HE DIDNT EVEN SEND AN INSTALL TEAM. We make it very clear we didnt want to install it. When we called him to see what happened, he dismissed us. Pretty much calling both my husband and me a liar. We mentioned he said the install would be free unless the install required more effort. He said he would NEVER say that. Why not say theres a miscommunication or a misunderstanding? I mean shoot, we would have paid someone to install, but he didnt even send the install team. We asked when we could get an install team here and he said in a week. Meanwhile we had no stove. So, we handled it ourselves. I dont like putting bad reviews out there. Standard was great with my parents, but its a hit or miss. We clearly got a miss with Keith.
Went to this location to buy a new dishwasher. We were actively ignored by the salespeople. Multiple people walked by and said nothing despite our obvious interest in the dishwashers. People that came in after us were helped immediately. I am not going to chase someone down to give them my business. We won’t be back.
Before I placed the order online I submitted a question via the websites chat. Someone immediately texted me and personally guided me thru the order process. 5 star customer service!

One star is too generous. We’ve had the worst experience with Standard in Beaverton and Bend. Our sales person, J Gavin, was awful. The store manager in Beaverton is a joke. We understood that appliances were taking longer to deliver during COVID, but once they told us our appliances were in the warehouse, things went south fast. Three times we’ve driven to Bend for delivery only to be told the day of it was a mistake and couldn’t be delivered. They last time, we had a confirmed delivery email and they called the night before to tell us they don’t deliver on that day. They don’t return phone calls. They put you on hold and never come back to the phone. Basically they don’t care. Save yourself the stress and purchase somewhere else. Wish we’d read all the reviews first.

We had the best experience! It was so nice to be in text message contact with sales.When I inquired about an item, I would get a response usually within 10 minutes.Never was I harassed or pressured to make a purchase; only quick communication and help when I needed it.Prices were the best I could find anywhere. Took off so much pressure trying to find the best deal.Will not hesitate to reach out to Standard TV and Appliance the next time we are in the market for a TV or appliance.
We have had a great experience with them buying both an oven and now waiting for delivery of a Washer and dryer. Install guys were great having no issues getting the new oven and and hauling the old one away. Obviously there are shipping delays due to COVID right now but everyone seems in too of it and looking out for the customer.
I needed a new stove when my old one died. I texted with Linda on Friday and called on Saturday and Linda helped me. She was very kind and helpful and patient. On Sunday I had buyers remorse. Chris texted with me and when I called Chris answered. He took care of my problem ordered me a different stove with the same delivery date. He sent a new invoice showing what I had already paid and what I now owe. I will receive a refund from the accounting department. Both Linda and Chris were awesome and always treated me like a person. Thank you

The washing machine broke on Dec. 28th. I went into Standard on Dec. 30 and bought a Speed Queen new washer and dryer for @ $2000.00.Tony was very helpful and provided great service. There was an opening the next day for installment.On Thursday, Dec. 31st, the new washer and dryer were installed and the two guys left....and the washing machine started leaking from the top! It flooded my laundry room. Thank goodness I noticed and was able to stop the water before it flooded the hallway.Standard TV wanted to just fix the machine and I said, no. What else was wrong with this new washing machine?After much evasion, poor communication and much disrespect--they finally gave me a new washing machine.....on Jan. 6th.I wanted to buy local and I have bought an appliance from them in the past. However, even though Tony was supportive during this ordeal, I cannot recommend a store that sells defective appliances and then gives me the run around.It was a terrible, exhausting experience.
They seem like theyre a nice company, prices look good but (their website at least) is passing on their corporate tax as if its a consumer tax, and this just aint cool. The Corporate Activities Tax isnt something customers should be seeing as a line item.Plus 79 bucks to deliver when HD and Lowes will do it for free. Id hate to give the big box stores my business but... theyre losing a customer over a few bucks.
I just purchased a top rated dishwasher without leaving my dining room table. Standard Appliance in Beaverton handled the whole transaction by message and were able to advise me about the machine that would fit my space. They thought to include a new hook-up to our water source and would polite, efficient and pleasant. I couldnt be happier.
I was told my mattress would take two weeks, here I am two months later being fed yet another excuse for why the delivery is pushed back. They string you along with false promises and waste your time.As for what can we do to make it right? To start with, try actually being honest with your customers about when their order will arrive. Dont say something is in stock and scheduled for delivery then make up an excuse the day before its supposed to arrive. Youve stolen my time from me, and unless you have a time machine, theres nothing you can do to fix that.I had to cancel my order with you after waiting two months because I could no longer take you at your word. You could have said my delivery was coming tomorrow or in six months and I wouldnt be able to tell which was the truth.Edit: just as an update, I ordered the mattress directly from the manufacturer. I got it for the exact same price, and the delivery was in 10 days from order date (not 2+ months). Not sure why I would ever come back after that.
I bought the most expensive washing machine in the showroom. It has never worked. Over 50 phone calls, six repairs, and it still won’t work. Customer relations is terrible. Don’t expect any support if they sell you a product that never works.
Purchased Maytag washer/dryer at the end of Aug. 2020, it was finally delivered end of Sept. 2020. Dryer stopped drying Nov. 15th, we contacted Standard Appliance they sent repairman out Dec. 6th, said the timing mechanism was not working, he would be back the next day to replace it. No one showed up the next day, I phoned Standard and was told the part had to be ordered. Two weeks later repairman came to install timing mechanism, dryer still not working now need to order heating element. February 9, 2021 parts finally in and repairman put new parts in, dryer STILL NOT WORKING!!!!! The only thing left is the motor to replace. Now Standard is looking for a Motor for a BRAND NEW DRYER and dont know how long it will take probably months. This is their solution, no one in management will return my calls. What Is One To Do, is there any recourse??? I will NEVER -EVER -EVER buy anything from Standard Appliance again.
Standard TV and Appliance sets the standard on customer service! I’ve never had anything other than impeccable and efficient service in the multiple times I’ve purchased from them. Easily my go-to when I need a new appliance.
I purchased a fridge in the last week of July and by the second week of August the freezer stopped working and the unit keeps beeping every 20 minutes. I called Standard to return the fridge and they told me a technician would come look at it, which they did and told me a part needed to be replaced and he would be back in 2 days. The 2 days went by and he never called or returned. I called Standard and was told that the part is delayed in shipping (fair enough) and it would be early the next week. When the time finally came, again no call from Standard so I called them and was told the part is delayed again (fair considering we are in a global pandemic). Each time I call to speak to someone or tell them about this issue I get the Standard (pun intended) response I will look into this and I promise I will call you back today never get a call back. I try talking to managers, most of the time the call is dodged. I can understand the delays in shipping of parts but I can not understand not calling a customer back after 5 voicemails and numerous messages. I also can not understand why you would tell a customer that you will be there to service the unit and never show up (yes, this has happened 4 times). It is a shame to see this from a local company and I am sad to say that I hope to never make another purchase here again.

We urgently needed a dryer to replace our old broken one. Especially during covid we use it even more often to keep out cloth masks clean for the family. Dryers are hard to get, but Vadim Rodin (Sales Specialist) was a rock star and not only found the best dryer for our needs but also was able to arrange a same day delivery. We are so grateful for this awesome service. I love buying for a local Portland company!
We have been customers of Standard TV & Appliance for over 25+ years. We recently purchased a Whirlpool Washer and Dryer that does not work - clothes are not getting cleaned and they do not dry completely and come out moldy smelling.We have had the service tech out a few times and he does not know what is going on with the units and then mentions the next step is Kelly Kaufman who is the VP of Customer Service is supposed to call us to get this issue resolved. We have left multiple messages for Kelly and have not received any call back or resolution to this matter going on for several weeks now. No follow up.As a long time customer this is EXTREMELY disappointing especially as we have purchased numerous appliances over the years from Standard TV & Appliance. Their motto of committed to our customers total satisfaction for 60 years seems to be false. A real let down as this is really poor customer service.Right now if I could give this a negative star for the review I would!Still no resolution this.Jeff Jarvis, President of Standard TV and Appliance your Customer Service Department needs to be overhauled!
The sales person Ziggy was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products I was there to buy. They also worked with me on price to match a competitor quote I had. Very happy with my suite of appliances and the service. I bought my washer and dryer from them 10 years ago. Super friendly, extremely helpful and Im getting exactly what I want. Im be back again.
We have purchased a couple appliances over the year from Standard, and tried to purchase a couple more. The last purchase was a dishwasher, and it went well. We like the dishwasher, they did a good job installing it, and the price was fair enough.This time, however, was a different story. The handle on our microwave broke, and it wouldnt open. The microwave is a Viking, and were trying to get rid of all the Viking garbage in our house, so it was just an excuse to buy a new one instead of trying to repair it. We walked into Standard, were asked what we were looking for, and were immediately whisked back to their back wall of sad-looking microwaves. He didnt try to figure out what we wanted, even though we tried. He *told* us which one we wanted, and then made us follow him to his desk, where he proceeded to literally read off their inventory of microwaves from his computer. I told my husband that I would go look at what we actually wanted while he was doing that. I was gone a few minutes, and came back to him still reading from his computer. I got there just in time for the best part, which was this Panasonic is $570, that probably takes it out of the running? Excuse me? I see what happened. He was trying to get us out of there because we didnt look like we could afford a microwave that was more than a couple hundred dollars. We dress casual, my husband usually has a mohawk, and were fairly young (him admittedly more than me), so I get why you make the assumption, but you should be asking your customers questions about their needs and price range, and treating them all equally. Its always interesting to see the places that know how to treat everyone equally versus those that dont - it makes it real easy to know where to spend our money and where to not.That said, his rambling did lead us to the right decision - buying what we needed online. We bought that same top-of-the-line Panasonic for just over half what his price was. I really prefer to support the local business, but they should be supporting their local customers, too. This experience doesnt rule out Standard for me in the future, but I know which salesperson to avoid.

I was looking for a new washer as my old one gave out today. I wanted a local company and thought immediately of Standatd from their years of experience and service in the Portland area. Online I was given an option to text for more information and appreciated and enjoyed working with V. Got it ordered and my questions answered. Now looking forward to delivery, which is a little over a week out. Good price and great service, so far!
We purchased a package of GE Profile appliances from Standard at their Beaverton location. We were assisted by salesperson Keith Figueroa, who did a great job in helping with choices for the home we were building. He was also very good with follow-up to our builder. The Standard showroom is awesome. There are so many models on display that it made it much easier to find just what we wanted. There was even a 1-year same as cash pay option.
Had a horrible experience and will never shop here AGAIN!!!! Delivery was supposed to happen 2 weeks ago, but they couldnt find our dryer in the warehouse. Salesperson said it could be delivered the next day, she LIED!!! Had to wait another 2 weeks for delivery. No called me today to tell me my delivery window. Horrible customer service. For a company that says they have excellent customer service, they DO NOT!!!! They DO NOT deserve 1 star, but I cant post w/o that. Dont ever shop here they dont care about their customers!!!!
Jimmy was our AMAZING sales person. Our refrigerator went out right after we went on a big grocery run. We only talked to Jimmy on the phone, but he was fantastically efficient. Got us just what we wanted with no hassles. Then, realizing how stressed we were, managed to get the new fridge delivered the next day!!!The fantastic delivery crew (Jeremy and Tay) arrived earlier than expected and were so fast and professional that not one thing had to be thrown out! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
