Kathy Sue was amazing. She was very charming, straight to the point, and honest. This is the quickest I have ever purchased a car, and this was largely due to the fact they dealership did not haggle, and gave the best possible price for the vehicle— I know this because I visited 8 other dealership and the car I purchased was a lower price here than anywhere else.
Came to Ourisman VW of Bethesda and Kathy Sue helped me navigate through the car buying process. It was the smoothest car buying experience I’ve ever had. Thank you, Kathy Sue!
Zero stars.Last Friday, I was rear-ended in a hit and run out of state. Having had nothing but pleasant experiences at the Ourisman Bethesda Service Center (in spite of their awful Google Maps / Yelp reviews), I promptly called them to let them know I’d be bringing my vehicle in for service on Sunday night or Monday morning. On Monday, I arrived before work to drop my vehicle off and left the premises. I received an automated text message that morning through which I could communicate with my service agent. I texted him several times throughout the day and received no response. I called several times and, again, received no response. Finally, 24 hours after I’d dropped off my car, I received a message confirming that they’d received my car and would be looking at it. I noted that I’d left some cash in the vehicle and the agent confirmed that they’d found the cash and would store it in the safe (which they did); that was the only thing that went well during my visit. The agent quickly asked whether I’d be going through insurance to which I responded yes- that was the end of our texting. 6 hours later, I still hadn’t received any news on my vehicle. I called to check on my vehicle just before 5pm and was able to speak with the agent. He told me that Ourisman would not be doing work on the car and that they’d be sending it to a body shop they work with. I said that they should not do this and that I would be coming to pick up the car. They said to arrive before 6:30pm to do so.I raced over there, arriving just after 6pm and was told that they’d bring my car out right away. I got nervous when I saw someone walking around frantically, seeming like they couldn’t find something… Low and behold, the agent I’d been working with said the car had already been taken to the body shop. I said that was unacceptable and that I wasn’t leaving without my car. After several minutes of discussion (and the agent calling and speaking with the body shop that had taken my car and that was obviously open), the agent said I could come back at “around 8 or 9am” the next day to get my car.The next day, I promptly got in touch with the manager to get an update on my car (I’d spoken to the manager briefly before leaving the shop the day before). Thankfully, they were able to drop the car off at my apartment … at 2pm.This service center has terrible reviews on Google Maps and Yelp. They obviously don’t care about customer service / customer experience. I think my recommendation and reason for not wanting to return is more than obvious.
Not worth it.Going to a dealer, you expect to pay a little more but hope in return for quality, reliable service. Not what you get here. Had a problem with my AC and took it in for a $200 AC inspection, only for them to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. It broke down 2 weeks later. Made another appointment today, reserving a loaner car to use while mine was in the shop. Got there right at my scheduled appointment and the service associate wasnt there, and neither was the loaner. Save your money and just go with a local mechanic.Same dealership price without the dealership service.
Great sales department but one of the worst service departments I’ve ever come across. No one returns calls, they can’t give estimates for repair times and they are generally rude on the phone. Would not recommend unless you enjoy being angry and frustrated.
I recommend to everyone the best service to buy a car is at VW Ourisman. The manager Sergio and Sediq were extremely attentive, they knew how to serve with great courtesy and efficiency, offering the best product for what I needed. The entire purchase process was very efficient and agile until the car was delivered by someone who was very well trained for it. I recommend it to everyone who wants a great experience.
Erika is the best!!! So sweet & so kind. I had the worst experience at jeep rockville. I came here to try it out & Erika helped me with everything. She knows it all & took great care of me.
I have a 2018 Volkswagen Tijuana the staff Very professional and easy to communicate with I’ve been taking my car for service and “juan” is always been so professional and kind very happy with his customer service, definitely deserve the employee of the year plus the manager BRain was always a help and yunis is always there with a smile, i drive all the way from Virginia just because they have the best customer service… thank you again Juan
WARNING: Ourisman Volkswagen will THROW AWAY your things. Went in for an oil change today — everything was smooth except until I came back to my apartment and my fob to get into my parking garage had disappeared. Now I’m out $50 to pay for parking in my garage this weekend since the office is closed and will have to pay another $50 to get a replacement FOB. Called the service center twice. First time, a woman named Alex was extremely rude said “well we are open until 4:00” and hung up. Second time I was put on hold for 35 minutes until I gave up. Do not recommend any service here unless you want your things thrown away. I highly recommend Alexandria Volkswagen, should’ve just gone there again.
Worse customer service I have ever experienced in a VW service center. dont wast your time and money.
If I could give a no stars if I could because, I went there to simply get a key made and the next day the key failed to work nor could I use my original key to start the car. I explained the situation to the service department, they had the car towed back to them at their expense. Bryan from the service dept told me that I needed a ignition module and that it was not the key but my car. I told them that could not be correct because my car work ed just find prior to them reprogramming the key. They insisted that I pay over $900 for the ignition module so they could prove that the key worked. I refused and had the car towed to my dealer. I asked for the money back for the key as it didnt work. Not only did they refuse to give me the money back for the key they were rude . Leo the service director was so rude and disrespectful. They did not even reassemble my car and left my as the pics show. My car started up without a new ignition module with my original key after my mechanic reassembled my car. I have tried to resolve this issue but volvo has been nonresponsive.I paid $376 for key that doesnt work and then another $185 dollars to get my car reassembled. There service was appalling.
Unethical, unhelpful, and incompetent. Negligently installed a warped driver side mirror, did something to cause infotainment system to begin to malfunction, never took responsibility, only argued and wanted to charge for more labor. Avoid like the plague.
I agree with the several other customers that this is probably a rip-off place. 25 percent more expensive that an identical service at luxury dealer Audi. Also they told me that the car needed a replacement of the rear brakes and rotors although the car had only 23,000 miles. Very unusual especially if you drive a lot of highway, there are no mountains, and other cars driven by the same drivers lasted more than 40,000 miles before such a replacement was needed. For service, alignment, the replacement of rear brakes and rotors, new wipers, and alignment and rotation of tires more than $2,000. $1,250 was labor, corresponding to 8-9 hours. Hard to believe that it takes more than a full man/woman day of work for that. Anyhow, just my impressions for your consideration.
Ive had a lot of oil changes and basic service as well as a few larger issues fixed on our VW. Theyre a good place with good people who I believe really work hard to help keep cars running. Youniss is awesome.
I have taken my cars in multiple times for services and repairs and each time I am impressed with the simplicity, ease and speed of their service. Juan and Glen do a wonderful job explaining what’s needed and being done during the service and are able to answer all questions and fulfill all the customers’ needs. All in all I’m extremely impressed and will continue to bring my Volkswagens back to them, and I’d recommend everyone to do the same.
Id leave 0 stars if I could. This place is absolutely awful. Customer Service is non-existent and they are in no way helpful. It took us several tries to even get someone to pick up the phone the 6 times we called to get updates on our car because they did not call when they said they would. Do NOT go to Ourisman Volkswagen Bethesda for your VW servicing needs.
Read the reviews on Google and then go to Yelp and read the reviews there. There is a reason why this place consistently gets bad reviews over years. This dealer does not perform good work, does not provide customer service and does not even attempt to make a bad experience right. My bad for not doing my research ahead of time.
My VW Jetta got recalled due to some issue and I thought this place was the closest one for me to take my car. I went there, met with Juan, checked in. Then he explained to me what the process will look like in detail and then gave me a free Lyft ride to go home.Up to this point, I have not checked google reviews, and actually after reading so many bad reviews, I kinda freaked out, but kept my calm :)In the next day, Juan called me, told me that they were working on the car, but they also did an inspection and found some issues that they had some suggestions. I declined their offers, because of the stuff I read from the Google Reviews. But he was very respectful and told me that my car will be ready in a couple of hours. Later I called them again, asked about my car, they said its almost ready, they set me up another Lyft ride. When I reached there, my car was ready. I asked him about the issues they found & their suggestions again, he was very good in explaining them to me. Then, I thanked them and left.Overall, it was actually pleasant to do business with them, and it wasnt as horrible as it was portrayed here.
I made an appointment on today 2:20. So I visited over there. But they says today is already full, so cant see your car. Are you kidding me? Why you make an system of schedule? I spent my time. I will never visit this dealer.
Youness is a fantastic mechanic. The App Connect in my 2016 Golf stopped working and he was able to fix it in 2 hours. This problem had stumped another dealership and a private mechanic shop...Im so happy it is finally fixed. Everyone in the service department was really kind as well. It was a great experience. Thank you!!
Had a terrific experience here! they even fixed the issues i was having after a bodyshop visit at another shop. Thank you so much!
Erica was SUPER helpful today when I took my Tiguan to get the license plates installed. She was very friendly and made me feel valued — amazing customer service skills. I had a lot of questions regarding my upcoming 6 month service check up. She took the time to explain to me what they will be doing to the car and mentioned the flexibility of changing my appointment, which is huge for me since I’m a flight attendant with a crazy flight schedule. I was overall very pleased with the car service and the amazing customer service from Erica and her team at Ourisman VW of Bethesda!
Great experience working with both of these guys, very hassle free and straight forward with pricing and available options. I’ve been looking for a vehicle for a week and finally got someone (both of them) to answer the questions I had and give me a fair price. Also delivered my car within one day and I have referred them more business due to my great experience and would recommend to others.
Ive owned and maintained cars for over 15 years, and this was the first service shop Ive discovered to steal from my car. Unfortunately I only noticed things missing one at a time because I never assumed a mechanic would steal my change, costco card, glasses, and cheap sunglasses, so it was a couple months before I realized what happened. Im sure its too late to get my stuff back, so Im doing a review instead.Who steals $40 worth of stuff from a car when theyre getting $600 from them in service (just replacing a rodent-chewed wire)? I feel robbed twice.
Went in today for a EPC and check engine light check. It costs $207 to run a diagnosis which included not one but two line items of “shop supplies”. While the consultant Kevin was decent and courteous, I think this practice of overcharging for a diagnosis is over the top and unjustified. Not sure I will go back.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I took my car in for a 100k service they returned it to me with the back doors not working. I told them they messed something up and asked them to fix it. They wanted to charge me $700 to fix something they caused!! I had to take my car to another repair shop to fix the damage they did and refused to fix. Horrible experience and the prices are all jacked up. Not worth the hassle people.
I encourage VW owners to go somewhere else. We have a Tiguan that we bought in August 19 (roughly 13 months old when problem occurred) and this fall it has been damp inside. We brought our car to Ourisman because it is 10 minutes from our house. They initially told us the sunroof drains were probably clogged and they cleaned them out. Per the service center, the fixed the problem. They then said we should pay $1700 for new carpets to ensure mold did not grow in the car. None of this would be covered under warranty because we neglected to clean the sunroof drains. They informed us this is not something that we can do, but have to bring it in to VW regularly for cleaning. We had access to a commercial fan and decided to dry out the carpets on our own. Two weeks later, it was damp again inside. Brought it back to Ourisman and they told us this time the back drains were probably clogged. They would be required to remove parts of the car and again, they quoted us $1700.We took it to Stohlman by Tysons for a second opinion. This is where we bought the car (after an incredibly disappointing experience at Ourismans sales center in Bethesda, MD), and after taking a careful look at the drains, they found that they were pinched. This was all covered by warranty and we had the drains and carpet replaced.Ourisman did not have the water specialist look at the car, their service team was dismissive, and they will not explore warranty problems. Even though Stohlman is 30 minutes away, we will be going there for all future needs. No point in wasting time at Ourisman.
Ignore the negative reviews! Youness was great and more importantly HONEST. They could have upsold $1,500 but explained to me what I needed now and what had not exceeded it’s useful life. Plus they washed and vacuumed my car and a complementary Lyft to work and back!
Worst VW service center ever. They hold my car for two days and couldnt fix a simple sensor integration issue, the other VW at Rockville took care of it in 30 min.
Told me on the phone that battery replacement for my GTI would cost $280 (already way too much for a standard and easy repair, but requires computer programming so had to stomach the cost). When I arrived, was told that it would cost $395 - for a battery replacement!!! Price includes approximately $160 for battery, and $200 for service! Absolute racket - do not visit here!!!
This was probably the worst run business that I have ever seen in my life. Not only did I have an awful experience with my car...when I FINALLY went to pick it up after a week and a half...every single customer that I encountered was having a bad experience. Within 2 minutes of walking in I heard you told me this was going to take a couple hours and its been 4 days - that persons car still wasnt ready. I want to say I am shocked but with the experience I had, I am not. Terrible response time, terrible communication, it took me a whole day just to get on the phone with someone and my car had been there for 10 days. Will never go back. I wish I read the reviews before I took my car in there. DO NOT GO HERE
Amazing work. I had a window replaced after being taped over for over a year- when they were done with it it looked brand new- glass perfect, no sign of tape residue, amazing.
5+ Year Customer: There is a very good reason why this service center has a terrible 2.4 rating. I knew their reviews weren’t great and still took my chances because the location was so convenient. Unfortunately, the only thing worse than the technicians sub-par work is the customer service team. Ultimately, the safety of my family was put at great risk and instead of doing the right thing, the entire Volvo team ran me in circles for 6+ weeks. They are a total joke and only care about their bottom-line. If you are like me, you will probably have to figure this out first-hand. Please know that this place is not worth the money or the risk.
The service dept cant even mount tires right. The people combine two traits not often seen together: arrogance and ignorance. Add is some good old car service dishonesty and its a total bust. I know I went through and had to have another VW dealer fix their mistakes.
If you enjoy being robbed blind then feel free to come here. I brought my car in and was told it was $189 for a diagnostic and that any issues found I could apply that $189 to repair any of the issues. After receiving outrageous quotes for simple repairs, found at another shop for much lower pricing. When I selected the repairs that came out right around $180, I went to pay and was told the $189 was now not applied to the repairs I selected. Its a bed business model and over charges. Take your money elsewhere.
This place is a joke and absolute nightmare/ripoff. Too often weve brought in our car for one issue only for it to be returned to us with a brand new problem - and then, despite it obviously being something they should have checked for and ensured was working, will charge thousands of dollars for relatively subpar service.I partially blame Volkswagen for having such terrible cars to work on - I mostly blame Ourisman for being just the worst.
Horrible experience with this service center. Would never recommend them to anyone.
I have been taking my Tiguan to this place for years...first because that was where the service contract was, and, later, just because it was easier than finding a mechanic. My car had no issues, anyway. But I took it faithfully to the dealership about twice a year for maintenance and oil change.Well, now the car is older (2012) but it only has 35,000 miles on it. I had a couple of lights on (air bag and tire pressure) and thought I would take it in. I also asked for an oil change. I arrived on the dot of our appointment. Hours later, no call. I texted as they said I could do. No answer. I waited another hour, no answer. I called and left a message for my “advisor”, no call back. Finally was getting toward the end of the day. Called and oops, my “advisor” answered the phone. After stumbling around a bit, he said he had to check the “technician report” and left me on hold for about 10 minutes. When he got back, he proceeded to tell me that I needed about $6,000 worth of work on my car, including “rebuilding the engine” due an oil leak, recalibrating something below that was going to cost $2,000, and a new set of tires that was more than $1,000.A quick look at the blue book will tell you that a 2012 Tiguan, even in good condition, is worth $6,100 max. Please!!!!!The only reason I gave two stars is that because of COVID they are offering free Uber/Lyft rides back to your house during the wait.Won’t be returning (after eight years!!!).
Nice customer lounge and an above average coffee machine. Also, the guys Ive worked with have been candid about how important elective repairs are and I really appreciate that. They replaced the wrong tire once. But I got a free tire out of it! Communication is an issue within the staff. One time I had to wait for the guy I was working with to return from lunch because the folks at the front desk couldnt find my paperwork or my car? Also, their ETA for work is always short by about 50%.
Dont expect them to honor your service appointment day/time. Showed up at my appointment time for basic service and was told that I would have to leave my car overnight. When I asked why, the service associate told me appointments arent appointments and when pressed started lying to me about how long different parts of the service take. For comparison, when I take our Toyota to Koons, they get us in within 15 minutes of our appointment time and comparable service takes about an hour.
This was my first visit to this service center, and I must say that I was impressed. The staff was very friendly, and they provided excellent customer service. Best of all, my car is running great just like the day I bought it. From now on, Ourisman will be my go to place for my auto service needs.
They really need to do a much better job managing the customers expectations— especially as it relates to estimated wait times— and being upfront and clear about the services being offered and performed (and why). A 3+ hour wait to have winter tires installed seems outrageous to me (and has happened to me more than once). The staff are polite and professional for the most part but their enthusiasm at times can feel like an attempt to compensate for the lack of acceptable time management and transparency. I think I’ll look for another service center going forward and hope it’s better than what I’ve experienced here.
World class con artists. 30 months old car battery didnt hold charge. Had to jump start four times. A con man said, batteries dont have warranty, replacement cost $375. Said, he gave a special discount and charged $275. The warranty booklet indicates three year /36000 mile battery warranty. Called a nearbyVW dealer, they said has three year 36000 mile warranty. Then called this dealers parts department and inquired about purchasing a battery, man said, cant give the price without knowing WIN number, but said, if the car is only 30 months old and has less than 36000 miles, the battery covered under warranty. Called again and asked to talk to a manager. A woman took the number, another con artist called to tell what the guy did was wrong and advised to keep the bill to get credit when getting the next car guy left a long message on the cell phone. Forwarded everything to VW customer service asking them to direct con artists to refund the charge. Havent heard anything yet.
Brian from the service center unfortunately did not provide us great customer service for our recall appointment. He told us to text or call to see when the car was done, but we could never get anyone to answer the phone or respond to our texts. He also told us that the the dealership would pay for our lyft to return to the dealership, but was rude about us making that request when we arrived (and refused to compensate us for it thereafter, even though we followed up with multiple emails). We had a much better experience at the Alexandria VW dealership / service center.
A week after purchasing a brand new Atlas from Ourisman Bethesda I found myself at the service department for a screw in my tire that could not be patched. I called on a Thursday morning and they did not have my specific tire in stock, but the parts department ordered one and said it would be there by 3pm that afternoon. The service department told me the technician leaves at 3pm and asked if I could drop the car off first thing Friday morning to have the tire replaced. I arrived at 7:15 on Friday morning and was told that it would take about an hour and half. I had not heard anything by 10:30, so called to check in and was told that they would check on the status. By 11:15 I still had not heard back, so decided to Uber back to check on this in person. Upon arrival I was told that the tire ordered for my car was not actually there yet. Dont you think it would have been prudent to check on the status of the tire when I arrived first thing in the morning??? I mean when were they going to tell me that the tire wasnt even there?? Not to mention I had a flight to catch, but they acted like they were doing me a huge favor by calling a Lyft to take me to the airport. The tire wasnt actually replaced until Saturday and then I had to Uber back first thing Monday morning to pick up my car. It wasnt until after I left and looked in the trunk that I found they didnt even put the spare tire cover back in place with the necessary screws. I guess I should be grateful they even put the spare back in the car.I understand that issues arise, but the service was consistently poor in terms of communication and reliability. If I wasnt so annoyed, it would be funny that it took 4 days to change one single tire. I would have much rather them be upfront with me about any delays, etc as I would have planned accordingly.I cannot believe the ridiculous amount of disorganization at this place. First impressions are everything and this was an awful one at best.
Ive never come across a service department that flat-out REFUSES to help you. This place was a first for me! The price to perform routine maintenance on my 1-year-old car was ungodly. They had no problem charging $370 for checking the vehicle and an oil change. You will not find a bigger rip off service department on the East Coast. All I requested was a software update for my vehicle due to all the electronic bugs Ive been experiencing. 2 different service managers lied to my face about doing it, it was never done. I cant figure out why they refused to do this.
This VW dealership outsources repairs to an auto body repair shop. The repairs took 3x longer than expected, and when we went to pick up the car from the dealership, we were informed we couldn’t because we needed to pay in the form of a check as required by the contracted auto body shop. A very frustrating experience all around and completely defeats the purpose of going through an official VW dealer. Do not recommend.
Attempted to inquire about a vehicle online. Received one of the worst responses ever. First response saying theyd get back to me. Then one saying call me. Then I call, someone says theyre working up numbers and will call me right back (he didnt). Then I get an email saying to come on down. Then another email saying they need a credit application before they can give a purchase price. I never received a price nor any useful information. Complete blow off responses. No value in online contact at all.
This dealership has successfully turned me off of Volkswagen. Time lines are no more educated than rolling a 20 sided die, and customer service/response times are about as helpful as yelling into a cup on a string. My car will have spent nearly 3 months in the shop by the time this is all over. 3 months. Did you read that correctly? Yes, you did. 3 months. No hesitation will be had upon trading in this dud for literally any other brand of car.Dont bother escalating your problem to VW corporate either. They will just reword your problem and vomit it back to you in the same box with a new bow. Something needs to change here.Yours truly disappointed,-A non priority
Went there for a regular oil change. They did not want to give me the price that is listed on their website. Why would you advertise a price you can’t offer. They basically try to rob you.
As soon as I entered the doors, Mr. Tony Kearney met me and quickly had my car inspected for a malfunction indicator light (check engine light). I received first class service and attention. I will definitely return to do business with them again, again and again! Thank you, Mr. Tony and Ourisman Volkswagen of Bethesda!
The worst ever!!! Agents are rude, dismissive, do not answer phone messages, etc., etc. Each time I take my car for service, it comes back with even more problems. I would not, not recommend this place to anyone.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I have had poor customer service from the start and tried to give them multiple chances but the Assistant Manager Brian K. has done his best to drive me a way-from being obviously dismissive to my reported vehicle concerns and condescending nature of calling me little lady or young lady and Im in my mid 30s, to just bad service! I was scheduled to drop my car off Friday night for service Saturday with the understanding that I would pick my car up from their lot on Sunday. They were going to lock my car and I would use my spare. Sunday I get there and my car is no where to be found, which meant I spent a holiday weekend (Labor Day) with no car for 2 days. I had to cancel my plans. Brian phoned this morning to say they had to replace a part and when I informed him that I had received NO communication that my car would not be available for pick up Sunday as promised he was dismissive and not apologetic in the least. I will never take my car here for service again and will gladly drive further for good customer service.
First car in a morning I have waited 2 hours for oil change on tap on that they do free tire rotation but they did not rotate my tires at all, how do I know I marked my rims and tires so I know they didn’t rotate my tires at all, maybe free rotation means don’t touch it at all. Car wash absolutely bad, looks like I wiped off my car with dirty ass pease of clothes or something, the rims aren’t even touched and tires weren’t painted with the black thing that they use to put it after car wash and they don’t do vacuum for me doesn’t make any sense if you have car wash service it should come with vacuum as well right it’s included anyway my car look as bad as I brought it there, hopefully my oils was change probablyHorrible service
Worst experience ever! I did a recall today, they called me and tried to persuade me to do the service on their place, while I just checked with technician that I am familiar with, he said my car is ok, next service can wait. Then after I picked up my car, there is weird and strident sounds every time I open the door on the driver side. It is so bad, why this place still open as a official Volkswagen dealer?
Poor customer service, horrible communication, absurd prices, little flexibility - never going back.I’ve been here before, had mixed experiences but tried to give the benefit of the doubt. However the last few have been overly negative, with this one taking the cake.I went in for AC issues, and communication was slow, the rep was dismissive, barely worked with me, and clearly I was just another item on his to do list as opposed to someone he was trying to ensure got the right service and experience. Can guanrantee I’ll never use the service center again, and I probably won’t buy from ourisman if this is what I can expect (and you’re talking about someone who will probably buy 1-2 cars in the next few years).
Terrible experience. Dropped my Jetta off early Friday morning to look into an airbag issue. They never called me until the following Wednesday. Only then did I find out what the issue was, told them to proceed, and never received a call back providing an estimate for how long it would take. I then had to call on Saturday to get some sort of idea when the fix would be done to only find out it wouldnt be complete until Tuesday. In total it took 4 days with zero initiative from them to update me on just the prognosis. Was chasing them down. Once identified what the issue was, zero communication on estimate of completion. Again, had to do the leg work to find out. In the end, I decided to NOT reward them with my business and getting my car serviced elsewhere.
I previously had very good experiences at this service center for routine maintenance, but when I came with a real problem, I finally saw the poor work their mechanics do, and how their service reps facilitate them. A problem with the engine not starting at first when ignition turned - which I told them was likely an alternator issue - went unresolved for months while they kept making other fixes, including simply recharging the battery. My car was stranded three times with a dead battery until they finally blamed the battery and replaced it (the cost of their parts is astronomical, so I provided a new battery upon the recommendation of a different Volvo dealership). Three days after battery replacement, same problem. I called and was told I could bring it in while they charged me for further diagnostics, but that they didn’t think it was worth it, since they couldn’t find the problem. Yesterday, my car died a fourth time, another tow to this shop and surprise! It’s the alternator. Now, they want to charge me over $2k for a new battery and an alternator, plus $190 for recharging the battery and figuring out the problem. I’ve already paid so much - this is what I get for going to the Volvo dealer?
The worst customer service and very poorly managed. Had an emergency issue with my VW and scheduled an appointment over the weekend for it be looked at first thing Monday. Never got a call, so finally reached out at noon to figure out what was going on. Receptionist told me the car was being worked on and service manager would call me back. 2 hours later still no call.... so tried to reach someone again. Finally was transferred to their extremely rude service manager who never got a note o call me and had no clue why my car was there after I gave specific notes during the call when appointment was made. The receptionist totally lied about it being worked on when I first called as well. Clearly, they are all super incompetent and completely dropped the ball.
Me- Why have you charged me for things you didnt do in the service?Them- Oh well the computer just generates a standard billSo they took it off but the point is they were going to charge me for it if I hadnt queried it first.I cant complain about the work they do do. But query every single charge you get. And ask if theres a cheaper alternative for, say, a new battery because they will not tell otherwise.
As others have mentioned, avoid this place. When I purchased my VW I bought a 7-year warranty and 5-year extended service package for the express purpose of making sure my wife had as little to worry about when I deployed, as I am in the Navy. What actually happened was far from that, though, and I am no longer bringing my car there.Twice weve had to bring the car back for re-work because they did not complete the maintenance properly.Multiple times she was turned away when she complained about excessive tire leakage, when the real answer was a cracked wheel (only visible if you took the wheel off the car) that was one pot-hole away from catastrophic failure. After body damage during a service visit I or my wife now take extensive pictures of my car prior to bringing it in just in case additional damage happens, that way we can prove they were the ones that did the damage. In almost every instance of my wife bringing in the car for service, things did not work out until I showed up in person or called. The difference in service between my wife and I really depresses me, as I thought our society was beyond the treat women as ignorant and take advantage of that car service attitude. The sales experience was great, but if I were to buy a car from them again I would make sure any warranty or maintenance packages transferred to another location. The fact that Leo Bethancourt still has a job is proof that nepotism is alive and well in 2019.
Ever since Ourisman purchased this VW dealership from Maartens, the service department has steadily declined. During three of my last four visits for routine maintenance, they have regularly taken days to complete the work and rarely provide you updates. Moreover, the service center appears to be dedicating greater resources to Volvos.
As is with most dealers they are about the $$ and getting the most off of you, and are not consistent with their quotes. Save yourself some trouble and go elsewhere, not at all amused with my experience here and will NEVER go back!
The service department personnel were great].My service advisor was clear about wha t was needed, the costs and made the entire process enjoyable.
Absolute insanity. Schedule an appointment for 9 am and 6 hours later the car still hadnt even looked at it. What is the point of the appointment?UPDATE: And just when I thought it couldnt be worse THEY LOST THE KEY TO MY CAR!
Have a 14 year old Passat whicheck has seen 99% of its service done here. They are a pleasure to do business with and always looking to go the extra step. My car continues to run great and gets a very nice wash whenever I go including the tires with come out looking slick and new. Thanks for all the good work!
RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Worst dealership service ever. Expensive. Not knowledgeable. BEWARE of unnecessary repairs while you issues continue.
After the sale, they refuse to talk to you no matter how hard you try. Absolutely horrible customer service in case anything is needed after the sale.
For the past few months every time I pass by this place I have telling myself that I really need to warn others of this service center. Here is my story in brief. I like dealerships because yeah you will pay 20% more but you have peace of mind. I didnt think that I would be paying 100% more... As brief as I can be they tell me my PCV has bad pressure- $1300 repair and a cracked axle which will be $700-800 or so. The red flag was when they wanted to charge me $120-140 for two low beam bulbs because I had working after market bulbs (that I told them to ignore) I mean **JUST WOW**. These are $8 a pop for a name brand bulb from Walmart. Not even 15 minutes of labor. Before moving my last Volvo place used to just do it complementary on the fly to be nice to their customers! I politely called them out on it and the guy gave me a destinctivly pained shrug and said genuine Volvo parts.I went to get a second opinion at a nice place that lets say specializes in Scandinavian imports. They were more around the 850 mark for the PCV but the kicker was that they said the PCV pressure was fine and didnt need replacement *WOW*. Got the axel done with a quality after market for just shy of 500.Oh and another time I had a busted shock and they tried to sell me on replacing the other 3 working ones...almost covinced me me too!!Customer service was fine and the oil change + total point inspection was reasonable but I think that was because they were hoping to get me on the repairs. I just cannot trust this place and it left me with a sour taste.I will update if the PCV is bad at my next service.
Dont park you car on the street near this place. They will vandalize it daily but putting their flags on your car. Doesnt do the paint any favors. Has happened for several weeks.
Horrible service, Horrible customer support, have no idea what they are doing, always ridicules waiting times, came to them with simple problem and they are clueless. Dont come here if you dont have to.Also who doesnt have loaners these days?!
Horrible customer service! Once they make the sale and you request help they do not return your phone calls! I called to request an appointment to review my mothers new lease agreement, with her at my side, and for 3 days no one returned my calls. It was only after I got angry that they listened to me. It seems to me that once the purchase has been made, the customer is no longer important.
If anyone one looking for a wip car vw best wip yo buy / own
Do NOT bring your vehicle here for service unless you enjoy getting ripped off, lied to and treated rudely. If you enjoy those things then maybe this is the place for you. The short story is that the service department wanted to charge me over $400 for three hours of service to replace a part that takes 15 minutes to change out. Continue reading for full details. My blower motor needed to be replaced. I called their service department and they told me they had the part and to bring in the car. After dropping it off they called me the next day to tell me they in fact didn’t have the part, and that the estimate to fix it was >$700 for the part and three hours of labor! The thing is, you can watch videos on Youtube of how to swap a blower motor and it clearly takes WAY less than three hours. So either the service department was trying to completely rip me off or they were totally incompetent, either way it was bad news. When I called them out on this overcharge the service staff I spoke with became rude and defensive and basically told me to take my business elsewhere. I spoke to the Service Manager named Leo and tried to work things out with him. He said the three hour quote was a mistake and it should have been 1.5 hours instead (which is still a complete overcharge). Because I didn’t want to waste more time on the issue I told him I’d let them charge me for one hour of service to swap the part but he still refused, was rude and had the nerve to call me a “difficult customer” because I called them out on their dishonest pricing! I had them order the part for me instead and I changed it myself in their parking lot in under 10 minutes! I am not a car guy and that just shows how crooked the Ourisman Service staff are. When I confronted Leo about this right afterwards he was completely unapologetic and defensive.Ourisman VW basically failed in every aspect of customer service there is. They over promised, over charged, under delivered and tried their hardest to rip me off for such a small thing. And when confronted about their dishonest practices they doubled down and became rude. This business does not deserve your money and I truly hope this honest review gets you to go somewhere else.
This dealership is the best, Great customer service & very fast service.
DO NOT BRING YOU VW FOR SERVICE here. Even after i had hard evidence that they messed up my 2013 passat transmission they still denied everything. After taking my car into the 40k service to change the DSG transmission, i started having problems with shifting and hearnig all sorts of noises. A few days later the car stopped shifting gears all of a sudden while driving down the road. It could only go on first gear so i pulled over and towed the car to their service department. The next day they told me that they followed protocol and did not find any error codes and test drove the car. After receiving my car i still heard had shifting problems and now was hearing clunking as well. I knew there was something wrong with car. After appraising it at carmax they verified that the car had transmission problems and quote me $3000 less. I then took it an indepented shop certified with only dealing in european cars and after a few days in the shop they found out that the the car had no tranmission fluid. After filling the transmission with 4 quarts of fluid the gears shifted normally without any clunks or rattles and all the noises went away. These 2 events were proof enough that this dealership did or could have done major damage had i not taken matters into my hands. Ofcourse when I confronted them showing them the proof i had, demanding an apology and my money back, they did not even flinch. They completely denied it. I am disgusted by the way this dealership handles customers and how they handled this problem. WHATEVER you do, do not take your car to this dealership and waste your money getting horrific service. This dealership needs to change set their ego aside and admit to their problems when they are wrong PERIOD.
Great service in every way. Thanks Kevin!
Long wait for expensive basic service.
Arrogant, dishonest sales.Do not go here. They will waste your time and lie with the numbers. They treat their customers as their money machines.
Really bad experience. I had to get my VW van towed somewhere else.
Good work, pleasant personnel.
I tried to schedule an appointment for oil change. They told me you dont need an appointment you can just walk in and it would take 1.5 hour!
I really dont recommend this place! Their main concern is to rip customers off. Bad service and cheaters.
I arrived at 8am for my service appointment. It is now 11:10 am and I am sitting in front of the Service Managers desk waiting for service to be complete. I was told 90 minutes when I arrived. Horrible service from P.C.. No respect for the time of their customers.
Absolutely awful. Took 4 hours to get a tire replaced?! Even though I had an appointment??!!! Dont go here.
Excellent service
Friendly staff
