I had an extremely wonderful experience at Eye Associates of Charleston in Citadel Mall. Every staff member was exceptional, including those that answered the phones and next door at Lenscrafters. My opthamologist was EXCEPTIONAL! Just what I was looking for and needed. They were efficient, professional, friendly, no wait and took their time with me and my needs and concerns. Best experience concerning my eyes that I have had in years and years! I highly recommend them. Dr. Ashleys last name begins with a F.

Ashley who did my exams was incredible. She took her time and explained every step. I couldn’t see that well with my previous prescription but we were able to figure out what needed to be changed. This was absolutely the best eye exam experience I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to at least 5 different places. I highly recommend Ashley and the entire team there. Even her assistant made it 5 stars. They were awesome.

I am definitely rating them a 5 star the time they put in with you and the patience while explaining every little thing. While having my twin boys with me my appointment was a breeze.

Have a 4 hour Kart race coming up. They fit me in a day in advance and sent me away with contacts and prescription in 30 minutes.Professional, quick, clean, and well dressed, nice people.I am outta Columbia, but this is my spot now.

I was not pleased with the explanation I received from Ashley Fazzary (O.D.) about obtaining a window tint exemption. I suffer with light sensitivity periodically as an IT professional. I also have seasonal allergies which drastically affect my light sensitivity. I wanted to talk to an optometrist about possibly getting a window tint exemption for slightly darker tint than the legal limit in SC but instead of getting a straight answer, I seemed to have gotten rhetoric full of excuses for why exemptions are not granted. She explained to me how an optometrist can be held liable if I were to get into an auto accident and the tint was below the legal limit. She also explained how “her” job is to provide solutions for “my eye’s”, through the realm of glasses, transitional lenses, sunglasses or contacts and “not for what’s around me”.  She NEVER asked me about the issues I’ve been experiencing with light sensitivity. She didn’t ask what I did for a living or why I was exploring window tint as a solution. If I was a delivery driver, Uber driver, traveled for work etc, she would never know because she never took the time to ask. She even made an unprofessional comment stating “I’m sure there are some optometrist’s who would be willing to write you an exemption if you slipped them some cash”. I don’t think she was encouraging me to bribe her but nevertheless it was still an unnecessary and unprofessional comment to make. I get the feeling she never took my request seriously from the start and after this experience I will not be returning. I do not recommend her.

They were welcoming and squeezed me in for a walk in! They were efficient and caring. I really enjoyed my experience. Great deals too!!

Apparently it’s not a good idea to book online. At least that’s the vibe I got after I’d left work early, got my son out of school, and drove across town in Friday afternoon traffic only to be told that they had one technician and could not honor the appointment I’d booked for a first-time contact lens appointment. And yet in less than a week’s time, I must have gotten a dozen notifications from them, including one that said no-shows would be billed... I can’t believe they’re still in business.

Dr. Powers is amazing. He went above and beyond. The staff was extremely nice and helpful as well.

They performed and eye exam and fitted my teenager for contacts. Very happy with all of the staff!

What a wonderful staff! Everyone is so knowledgeable and serious and our safety sanitation during these very strange times. My doctor was wonderful as well as the tech Mrs Debbie and Jane is phenomanel would highly recommend!!! Wendy made glasses and they are perfect! Can’t wait to go back again !!! Candice runs a wonderful tight ship!

I love the doctors that I have seen here and up until this year, the customer service has been great. I had my annual appointment at the beginning of February. Paid by check. Received a message a month later saying they needed to resubmit my check and that I needed to call them within 10 days or they would report to a collection agency. Fair enough. I called and left messages for them 3 times, including my name, phone number and why I was calling, and that it was fine to resubmit the check. On one of those calls I asked for them to please call me back so I knew they had gotten the message. They never called back. Today, in the mail, I received a letter from a collection agency. Although, I love Dr. Medlin and have respected and appreciation their service, I am seriously thinking of switching doctors due to this.

Eye Associates of Charleston in Citadel Mall is a very convenient and quality optometrist option. They work really well when you need help a little bit later in the day or on the weekend. They are very knowledgeable and able to handle just about everything. I like that you can walk up and schedule an appointment without any trouble. They have come through on multiple occasions.

The staff was thoroughly professional, informed, organized and ready to address my vision needs. I am impressed by the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, ready training to help me understand how to use the contacts I purchased, and follow-up pre-scheduling to make sure I continue to practice the best eye health. I’ve been going here for several years without issue. I like that they have late hours and they typically run on time for appointments. Recently I started having some unusual issues with seeing, even though I had an exam 4 months prior. So I got a same day appointment. The front desk was super friendly and kind. Now I went in really concerned that at 26 years old I was having some really serious vision problems. Dr. Bradley was very casual but friendly. He explained different options to me and why he thought one was best. We ended up getting to the bottom of my problem, and he gave me some strategies to help my eyes relax. And even though I was there over an hour, my bill was VERY low. I was quite impressed by this casual little mall eye clinic.

I had a small piece of metal that somehow made its way into my eye. They were courteous, accommodating, and professional. They even made time for me during their lunch break. I’ve always had nothing but positive experiences here, and will continue being a patient. Highly recommended

My appointment was made this date because the doctor excepted Medicare. Upon arrival, I was told another doctor was working and I might be billed by Medicare up to $200. Why was I not informed of this until I arrived? I was then told my eyes would be tested by taking photos of the back of my eyes. I was not told I would have to pay for this until I was leaving. So an additional charge was added to my credit card I was not expecting. The good news, is that the doctor and staff were very helpful but costs should be explained up front the day before, not while Im sitting in the office chair.

My visit was very nice! I like the new digital technical equipment. No puffs of air in your eyes . The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The receptionists/office personnel were extremely accommodating and professional. The doctor was outstanding! I usually dread going to any kind of medical checkups. Today was exceptional. It was a most pleasing experience.

Eye associates of Charleston were great but Pearl vision I will not ever use again. Pushy sales lady and then I didnt get what I wanted it was the worst, and after 2 hours of her going around in circles I feel like I got ripped off and still didnt get what I wanted I cant stress in words how dissatisfied I am. With that being said I will not use eye associates of Charleston again because of their affiliation with pearl vision.

In the response from eye associates you are correct it’s lens crafters I would recommend pearl vision any day over lens crafters they certainly couldn’t do any worse or rip you off any worse. Lens crafters robbed me blind because the glasses are not right I can’t see any better because I can’t wear the glasses and they don’t care Less stars because they say they want customer satisfaction but do nothing to get it. I want a complete refund for my glasses that don’t work for me. Lens crafters has my phone number and can reach out to call me to get this corrected otherwise I may get my lawyer to handle this matter because I’m still within my 30 days.

Great doctor and assistant conducting exams, and new machine that eliminates pupil dilation worth the extra cost.

I’ve been a patient at this particular office for years- 4 to be exact! Today, I experienced the worst form of service imaginable. I arrived at my appointment, completed registration documents and was told that because I voluntarily opted out of the retinal scan- photo and eye dilution, the doctor would not see me. Shocked at this news, I asked associate to plead double check with the Doctor because this had never happened in my previous experiences. The doctor came out and I explained to her that I did not wish to have my eyes diluted nor did I wish to have retinal photo taken. She then proceeded to allude to me not being able to afford the $35 cost- “Is it the $35 that’s an issue for you?”, she asked! Yes...she definitely went there. As an administrator in the school district...I’m certain $35 would not break my bank! However, the Doctor proceeded to make her assumptions even after I told her I felt like she was forcing me to accept a service that I do not want. She then told me that I could NOT go on refusing the service and that she would not see me if I did not get either the photo scan or eye dilution. When asked why she was being so aggressive regarding this issue, she tried to blame it on her licensing and stated that if something went wrong, she didn’t want to be liable. How is this possible when I (the patient) sign the waiver everytime I refuse the service? She didn’t have a rebuttal for that...of course NOT! Needless to say, I went to Lens Crafters at Northwoods- where A-1 service was provided. Looks like I’m definitely not making it to year 5 with Eyes on Eyes.
