Parking lot needs replacing. Owners need to stop being stingy and fix their parking lot. They don’t fix it cuz That is one way they can appreciate their customers. ESP since nowadays, there are nicer stores you can get all the items this store has. I recommend going to other Asian markets that actually appreciate their customers.
Im a white girl but I love a lot of Asian ingredients and I was excited to find this place. It is a 45 minute drive from my house so we finally stopped one day coming from the airport. It is sadly just what I thought it would be, smelly and nasty. I have been to a lot of asian supermarkets that are quite nice, this isnt one of them. Most of the shelves are empty, stuff is just sitting here and there on shelves, nothing organized, nor much signage to tell you whats what or wheres where. I was afraid to buy anything except bottles sauces that I could read the expiration date on. They didnt have everything I was looking dor or maybe they did, its so chaotically displayed, no idea what all I didnt see, there was no rhyme or reason for anything. I cant function that way. We will not ever, ever be going again.
This supermarket is the best to get Asian food and spices in Charlotte area. You can get Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, even Indonesian foods here. The selection of fish is also great and fresh. The staffs are friendly and quite accommodating. The supermarket itself is a bit dirty though. It is not well designed, the floor are bit dirty, and the organization of the items is sometimes not good because some items are cluttered. Parking space are really spacious, but there are lots of potholes.
Great variety. Good prices and better organized than the grocery store next door.
Good. Been going there for years. Good variety, fresh produce, fish, groceries, sundries.
This place is filthy outside all the way inside and it stinks so bad
Every Asain item you could need can be found here! Lots of fresh produce, mushrooms, frozen meat, frozen dumplings, great selection!
Wonderful people! Very courteous and timely!!
This place has A LOT (no joke) of food items that you can only find at a market like this. I enjoyed having all the options and the prices were right. The staff were SUPER helpful and nice. Did I mention great prices?? I will go back for sure!Tips:1. Be prepared - the parking lot is more like an abandoned lot that hasnt been maintenanced since it was installed. Take your biggest vehicle and drive SLOW.2. The east/west aisles are TIGHT.3. Not a huge fresh produce selection.4. Bring your own sanitizer/Clorox wipes. You have to wear a mask inside but that is about it in regards to safety measures.5. If you go inside the plaza, there is a restaurant called Les Sandwiches & Cafe. DELICIOUS! They only accept cash though.6. The parking lot lol......seriously though.
The grocery store is pretty messy even though they organized with aisle. Shopping carts are very old and hard to push or turn around. Also the bathroom is not fits with health regulation guide. No parking lots line or structure and had to park a row without lines like other customers does. Overall, they have variety of foods from Asia and this place is just very old place. They show reopen the store at other new location.
They’re nasty 🤮 they are not good they try to sell to people the food expire I ask them for bread 🥖 is Moles and not clean 🧼
Chinese grocery store. But we can get fresh seafood varaities.
Friendly staff. They have great pantry stock and the best candy. They also had the spring roll sheets I needed. Will stop by again. I’m sad that it’s not located in a nicer area though. I wish there was a way to fix up the buildings and get it back on its feet. So much potential going to waste.
This market so amazing, i can find all kind of international food
Small, cramped, smelly, over priced items, several items no prices & rude workers. It was my 1st time here, I stood in line for 10 minutes before I was told by another customer that the line was actually on the other side (same side as cashier). The cashier didnt even have the decency to tell me as she took said customer who had come up after me. While said customer was locating his funds, another customer came up and asked the cashier if she could ring her up next because she only had one item. I thought if this lady takes another customer before me as if my time was worthless, I was leaving. She looked at me and Im assuming could see my full facial expression thru my mask. She instructed another lady to ring the customer up at a 2nd register while she started scanning my items. I wont be back.
Found my favorite things. Great trip!
Very good store. Had plenty of incredible options. Would recommend. Also had very fresh seafood
This is my go-to Asian market in Charlotte. Their shelves are always well stocked and I have rarely ever had any issue finding anything, I would caution you to allow yourself extra time when going here to do any shopping for multiple reasons. Parking here is the nightmare and only because of the state of affairs that the parking lot is in. My guess is that it was last paved in the late 80s / early 90s, and thats a serious guess. Another reason to allow for extra time is the vast selection that they offer, you will want to browse the first few times you go to the store. If you need help finding something it can be hit or miss. The people that work here are friendly and they try to be helpful but many of them do not speak English which can be a bit frustrating when you are trying to find something specific. Overall the selection in this market is second to none for packaged food items. This is one of the few places that I have been able to find fresh noodles in Charlotte. Nothing makes a better bowl of homemade ramen that you have spent the better part of a weekend making than fresh noodles to go in it. The seafood they sell here is really good quality, the noodle selection is awesome, they have a good variety of produce that can be difficult to find elsewhere, canned and packaged goods selection is second to none. I love going here every chance I get.
Great products from another country and the food from a local shop was great. I wish they had english speaking workers that walked around the store and helped with products.
You can buy Keefer lime tree here!!!
Fresh fish and a bunch of other things you won’t find anywhere in Charlotte!
Goid stop for asian market
Asian food, good place
Asian places, not too clean

The place is a little closer than most places and dont have a lot of other choices to pick from so its the only choice for my Asian needs. Sad but its okay. Its tough sometimes because most of them dont speak English too well to help look for whatcha need. Cool place but the parking lot needs lots of help due to the potholes (big huge ones at that).
Great variety of Asian foods !
This is my absolute favorite place to find ingredients for any type of Asian meal. Unlike the new century next door this place provides fresh cheap products. Also the workers are super kind and help a lot.
Had some specialty items but the store didnt seem very clean or well stocked. Many empty shelves.
Asian food.
The worst customer service Asian market in North Carolina. The employer and employees attitudes/behaviors are rude and very mean to customers. Some of products even expired several years but still on shelf.
My first and last visit. Im new to the area and the neighborhood was scary in the daytime. The overall experience was poor. The outside is rundown and in a dilapidated center...war torn is an accurate description. The inside is messy, dirty, unorganized. Boxes all over the place, dusty bottles and shelves unorganized. Ill be looking for acceptable options in the future. Advice to the owners, take care of your property and provide a positive shopping experience for your customers.
Compared to the store next to this, which is New Century Grocery & Food, this store has better customer services, and their products were not overpriced. The other store and this one has the same product, but for some reason, it is less expensive in this one. Even though this store is really small, it has everything I need, unlike the other store. One thing that I do not like about this store is that it smells like fish throughout the whole place, even in the back of the store. Also, they will not let you use the bathroom. They have one, but you just have to know where it is and just go straight to it without asking them.
This is my go-to Asian market. I live 100 miles from them and always make up an excuse to go to Charlotte to shop there. They have about everything you need. Back when I started cooking Thai food I found one of the owners Ivy very, very helpful. The prices are so good. Harris Teeter carries some of the ingredients i use most often but they are 2x’s the price and not as good. I’ve always found the market to be very authentic as I have traveled in Southeast Asia. The parking lot needs lots of work!!! The fish counter is right as you enter the store and has a strong odor. The store is a bit gritty, but hell its part of the experience! Go there and shop and enjoy!
I was hoping to find a good Asian market but this location fell very short from what I expected. The market is in a very sketchy plaza area with a parking lot so cracked up it looks abandoned. Upon entering the store was so cramped I wanted to turn around but even worse the SMELL! It was so overpowering I went out the back door & hoped the stench didn’t stay on my clothes. I saw other families walking around with their noses in their shirts then walking out because it was so bad. I wouldn’t trust to even eat an apple out of this place.
They seem to not like black people in there. Followed throughout the store. I thought I was mistaken. But, I continued on and they was still behind me. There was a lady pretending to look at fish, she had no gloves on messing the fish! I did not want that after seeing. I will never, ever go back there!
They have a good selection of live fish. The produce is fresh and priced well. With a visit.
Parking lot needs major renovation. Store is messy.Good fish selection.
Roast duck was awesome!! BUT, they need major help. The smell was bad, bathroom was nasty, groceries just didnt seem to be attractive. The store itself was unattractive. They need major fix up, In and out. Parking lot had pot holes everywhere. The little restaurant in the market sanitation grade was an 88. Thats not good. I would love to come here much often but I cannot deal with how nasty the place is. My bf who is black, first time coming in an oriental store and he couldnt even stand to be in there. Pretty embarrassing if u ask me.
I go there roughly about every other month and the only thing that I really have to say is read the expiration dates and the road getting to the store is nothing but potholes. Other then that the store itself isnt bad.
Great service
The place is reeking with fishy smell restroom is not clean and with faulty gadgets. Some products kn display have expired dates as old as 5 or more months ago.
Great place when preparing a good foreign meal. Good prices for good food.
Good place to get asian food but smells like fish all the time.
I love this place. They have awesome Bahn Mi, awesome duck, awesome steam rice buns, and great everything from around the world. From Japanese ramen to palm oil from Jamaica, this place has it.
Nice choices and prices but the store could use some cleaning.
Have not been there in a while so I was amazed at how much better the store looks. And the produce looked fresh for a change.
They have a wide variety of international foods. I couldnt find prices for anything, and it does have an odd odor, but its not bad enough to keep me from shopping there. They had exactly what I needed and I found it with no problem.
Many expired items on shelf. Asked a staffer about it and was told dont buy it..
A good place for a large variety of Asian goods, freezer and packaged foods, rice, produce, fresh homemade goodies. Theres seafood too but I cant attest to the quality since I dont eat it.
Very large variety of Asian products. Not a good selection of meats, but seafood seems fresh. Produce area looks good. Typical to most Asian markets though, the store has the odd smell I experience at these types of markets.
Has so much variety and products.
Stinks & they have knives in childrens reach! Beware!!!
We wandered around this supermarket and bought some tasty items! The bakery had sesame balls (basically fried dough stuffed with bean paste covered in sesame seeds), also known as jian dui, which was very very good. While the market is dirty inside and the fish section smells, if youre in the mood for authentic Asian food and snacks, this is the right place.
Good selection but some of the food looked old.
Fresh produce, fresh meats, wonderful mix of Asian foods and kitchenware.
This was great a great place to shop it is cool because its connected to a mall and got to see and try new asian things like boa its like a large dumpling and mochi that was taro flavor! i will be back soon to discover new things to try. somethings are weird to us but arent to bad. they have a wide selection of produce and things like that.
Good people but the place was not clean and service was not really good.
The International. Super Market is a great place to go shopping they have jest about anything and everything that you might want, because I do them because they have it all you might want or need
Could not find 2 out of 5 Korean favorite ingredients. Store workers had no idea what I was asking for. On the other hand, what they did have was a good verity of what was in stock.
Not the very best from how in look (outside), but they have a lot of Asian stuff. Especially the Southeast Asias stuff, since Im from Indonesia. They can provide me a few the stuff from my country, and some similar stuff from another Southeast Asia. So, yes, I would recommend this place.
This place selling expired and rotten, moldy foods. Overpriced and messy. Check first before buying food from them.
Love the food here! We go there weekly!
It was an unusual experience, but we liked it. So many unusual and unique items. We went looking for ingredients to make sushi and found everything we needed. We also picked up a couple of asian branded items just to try (seaweed snacks, and a dried squid snack). When I price shopped against Harris Teeter, I found the prices at International Supermarket to around 1/2 off HT - awesome. The smell may be a turn off to some, and some items look like they may have been there for a while, but the expiration dates were always ok.
Nasty employee. Dirty and expensive. Be careful of they price.
Ok service and ok variety of Asian products. Just convenient since its not too busy
Parking lot need fixing and place need to be more organized
Wide variety of fishes.. Brought fishes couple of time here.. Giving rating 3 becase Last time the fish i brought is very old and not good. Since it is kept on ice not able to check it properly..
Very good Asian market
Very helpful and friendly.
Great place with lots of amazing ingredients you will not find at the grocery store.
Fun place
This one is better than new century in same strip mall
Dirty as hell 😭
Ill go back nice selection but seafood area smells a lil to bad for me
A good place for oriental food 😮😮
Me likey
The store has bad oder but I love the ginger tea that they sell.
I like this market plus they have alnost everything we need
They had a good selection of sauces and treats!
Best fish monger in the triad
A bit pricey but most of the things I needed was there a wide selection of Asian stuff.
Dirty. Unorganized. Too crowd.
Great place for hard to find items!
Has a lot of things
Good a lot of choices
They have so much in here
Friendly place, good food here!
Bad customer service!
Cramped store, but other than that they have a very wide selection of products.
The road are bad
My favor place for asian producer
Large selection but some things not so fresh.
