I understood that there was a service fee of $129 to run Diagnostics; however, I only needed them to determine if the headlight bulbs were blown I removed them myself very easily in less than 5 minutes. I think perhaps they should have called me to explain the bulbs were bad and that I should replace them. There was no indication that they tested the relay switch . Sometimes, you just have to go the extra mile to build trust. Theres a very little effort in running a diagnostic test. So, basically, it cost me almost $180 or something that I could have done myself in less than 5 minutes for about $27.
The team at AAA South End was fantastic in assisting me with a last-minute car repair need. After picking my mom up at the airport, she noticed a bad sound in my car and we were planning on a road trip the next day and were concerned about the cars safety. We went to AAA and they went above and beyond to squeeze us in and discovered the issue was a need for a new front wheel assembly. Without the help of Sam, Chris, and Jessica, we likely would not have had a safe road trip. They were timely in fixing the issue and while we waited, Kiersten advised us on our road trip and assisted with a TripTik. All in all, I am grateful for their help in keeping my car safe to drive and on the road!
Had new rotors and calipers installed. $1,300 later I drove about 2 miles before the brakes seized bringing me to a skidding halt in rush hour traffic. I waited there for 2 hours until the tow truck arrived. Nice people.Terrible outcome. Unfortunately zero stars isnt an option.

Great experience using AAA for an oil change and inspection. Jessica at the front desk was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the process seamless. I loved that they text you updates and that you are able to see the report of what they did and any additional services they recommended (they even uploaded a picture to the report of my air filter that needed to be changed). They did recommend a few additional services that I went ahead and had done, but they were in no way pushy - they simply informed me of the reasoning and price, and left the decision up to me. I felt very comfortable with their COVID precautions. Overall, highly recommend and will be back!
I must say my loyalty to AAA Car Care is more real than ever.After my hit&run on Tuesday June 15, I had my car towed to AAA SouthEnd to replace wreck-ruined tire and muffler just so I could still drive until I could get rental car and let go of my car to the body shop for repairs. AAA had to special order the tire and it would come the next day.Erie Adjuster was to go to AAA to look at my car then they thought they had a better idea.Wednesday, Erie Insurance said to let them tow my car for direct repair from AAA to body shop. I was concerned about AAA’s trouble to order and return tire but gave permission to Erie. (Not knowing how/when to get rental car. Erie had Enterprise call me to let me know they had no rental cars that day but I could call around 😞. I said tell Erie to spend their time doing it )I called AAA to apologize for the trouble in ordering tire then the work being taken away. Jamel said no need. Then he told me he would send a Lyft to my condo, take me to work so I could get my orders done while my insurance did their thing - and he said to let him know when I was finished at work, they would send Lyft to work and take me back home ! Whattt? Above and beyond customer service AAA!When I told the Adjuster what AAA did for me, know what she was stupid enough to say? “Oh well we can do that too for extenuating circumstances“ I said, “Then why didn’t you?”Thursday- When I called body shop, they knew nothing of me or the order to send tow truck to get my car. Body shop guy is super and says he likes my idea. So I rescinded the direct repair order (had to call another rude Erie contact), called Adjuster to go to AAA to do estimate. They said I was supposed to call body shop to give them permission to tow my car - and I am supposed to know this? So we waste another day.Then adjuster blamed the body shop for not telling me this although they knew nothing of me. (I called body shop back and he said my original plan was best to get me on the road. I also told him that Erie threw him under the bus). She says there is a rental car at Nation Ford ?By this time I have called my insurance broker and trying to let them handle Erie, I am taking Lyft every where I need to go with promise from broker I will be reimbursed.Thursday, I go to my already scheduled acupuncture appointment and receive another Erie phone call from Erie Robin with my rental car info but just then the acupuncturist walks in so I call back as soon as I am out. It takes her 3 hours to call me back - and it is a reservation number ???? But no car ??? Tells me I have to find it.I call body shop telling him AAA should have me in the road Friday or Saturday when new muffler (and returned tire), asking for best time for him to look at my car. Trouble is, he really needs to take it apart and keep it. He is appalled at Erie’s lack of customer service. He says give me your Erie/Enterprise reservation number…. will use my contacts. Three minutes later I got a call from Enterprise with opportunity of car next morning. (But since my car was road worthy, opted to wait until Monday when body shop would take me in)Anyway, all the good that AAA did and the body shop in customer service is greatly appreciated!Friday I take a homemade Pee Dee Orchard Peach Pie to AAA SouthEnd with Unicorn napkins for excellent customer care 🙂
Service rep went out of his way to get the tires and have them installed promptly so that I could make a flight.
This AAA location does NOT do body work- but they will not tell you that until the work is paid for and signed off on so hopefully you can save some time and NOT go here. I went in with a cracked front bumper and broken DRL. Brandon quoted me around $300 “for everything” and I was sent a text to images of the damage including images exclusively of the body damage so I approved. I picked up my car right before closing immediately from work and after paying the office was closed- however my car was still entirely cracked and they just fixed he DRL. Soon after, the DRL stopped working as well. It took 3 months and a lot of pushback from manager Sam, but I just FINALLY got my money back to take it to a real repair shop. The only good thing in my entire visit was that they referred me to McClure Collision who did the entire job for much less money. Save your time and money and go there instead.
Customer service is a joke of should I say non-existent. Went to get a map was told the person authorized to hand out maps would be back in 30 minutes. Guy from car care said he didnt have access to the software to get a map. I asked if no one else could reach in a drawer and pull out a map and he walked off. If I cant get you to do a simple task of customer service why would I trust you to handle my vehicle? Tried calling the 800 number of my AAA card and no one answered the phone. This company use to thrive on customer service. Now its a joke. Times like this you need to step up your game or get out of the game.

I go here for the oil change specials. I usually get a semi synthetic oil change and tire rotation for about $40. Its nice you can make appointments online.. last time I dropped off if still took about 2 hours to complete basic service. They will load up things on the end they recommend just like any other oil change or quick service spot, they are not too salesy though and will allow you to turn down any additional service without much trouble, prices are reasonable for anything you do decide to allow them to fix. I recommend for maintenance service but would also get second opinion on anything you didnt come in for, its just the nature of the business

It was my first time using AAA instead of going to the dealership for my 2019 VW Atlas. suffice it to say i wont be going back to the dealership. AAA made scheduling the appointment super easy online. they followed up to confirm via email and text. after dropping the car off for the appointment, the continued to follow up with me via text and email, sending photos, and then called to make sure i received the updates and to ask if i had any questions. i did not feel pushed to do any extra work. overall a five star experience. i will retain their services for all maintenance/repairs moving forward for as long as they offer this level of professionalism. highly recommended (as of the date of this review).
I’ve stopped in a couple of times for repairs and a state inspection. No complaints whatsoever—their customer service is awesome. I came in recently to get my brake light changed (I initially made an appointment) and they completed it on the spot. Highly recommend AAA South End.
I took my car there this past Friday which was the day before the 4th of July holiday weekend and I had the best experience since living in Charlotte with car maintenance. The guy Sam that worked there was very personable and helped me out on such short notice. He was able to not only tell me what was wrong with my car but fixed it quickly. He also went the extra mile and called the place where I originally gotten the battery and demanded for them to swap out for a new one. Overall, if I ever need anything else done to my car I will not hesitate taking back to this location.

Great staff and service after I had to get my car towed there. Jane was super helpful and kept me informed about the status of my vehicle. They even called me before they closed because I had mentioned I would try and pickup my vehicle before 6pm and I was running late. I appreciate the help during a very stressful time.

Customer service (particularly Jane Nixon-Ashe) was great! Time estimates were accurate and my questions were answered. They replaced the serpentine belt, water pump and gasket, and radiator fluid.Great work, on time, parts in stock (or quick to get), at a pretty fair price. On another visit, I got the state inspection, all on time. The text updates were helpful, as I waited next door at a restaurant.

I belong to AAA and have for years. Always a great experience until I had my car towed to this AAA Car Care Center. There was a disconnect between the AAA Roadside Assistance and this facility. The Car Care Center required I work out the discrepancy. Which I did over the next hour while on hold. I was then told that there would be no way this facility could look at my vehicle that day because now it was too late. The error was on the car care center yet I was penalized.The cost to replace a battery and run a diagnostic to see if my alternator was ok was $291!!! Expensive lesson learned. Do not take your vehicle to this facility!!

Without question, the BEST Auto Repair and Car Care experience I have ever had. The employees here are helpful, caring, and extremely trustworthy. I ran over two nails in nine days. Yes, you read that correctly. They were so helpful and informative. I know absolutely nothing about cars and would be the easiest person to take advantage of in the auto industry. Both times, they were extremely honest and trustworthy, never trying to sell me parts or upgrades I didnt need. I ended up needing to replace one of the tires and they were great at laying out all of my choices and options. The second time I was able to get a simple patch put on and Sam couldnt have been more wonderful to work with. They were quick, efficient, and professional. Ill absolutely be back!Bonus- they give my little rescue pup treats and tons of attention every time we go in!
1. If you dont have AAA, get it now. They have saved my butt so many times. From roadside towing to great customer discounts, theres no reason not to.2. AAA South End, specifically, has been such a life saver. I moved to south end in May of this year and have probably already been to this AAA 10 times with various car troubles (so many nails and screws in my tires from all the construction!). Jason and Sam are always so helpful and kind. They get me in and out quick and I truly have never had such a good experience with an auto repair shop. 10/10 recommend.

A truck I have has a battery from AAA with a 3 year warranty. After a year the trucks battery died over 2 hours away. I was able to remove the battery and bring it with the original paperwork and receipt to this location. They claim that the truck that the battery was in must be present in order to warranty the battery. The truck will not run due to the battery being dead. I had the dead battery and all of the paperwork and they refused to help me in any way. I will spend my money else where.

The service was fast and everyone was attentive. The price was fair and the job was done well. Would’ve given five stars but they didn’t keep my doors locked while my car was unattended and there was a transient walking around looking in people’s cars.
I appreciate my AAA membership strictly related to road side assistance. However, any service beyond that has been a total disappointment. Had an appointment for an oil change and not only waited far beyond the time I was expecting, I watched as my car sat an additional 30+ minutes simply because they did not drive it out of the garage and bring me my keys (assumed they were still working on something). This is not the first unpleasant experience I’ve had. Will not be back.
If you drive an electric car, you can receive the Slowest Fast Charge, for free.Thank you to this AAA for supporting electric/zero emission transportation. I would suggest to the owner/operator of this facility, to start charging a small fee ($6,$8, or maybe even $10 an hour), to use the fast charger, but have Greenlots return the unit to full speed. The fee charged, should cover the electricity and maintenance, and it would still provide a helpful option to EV drivers. Right now, the slow state of this charger makes it more of a hindrance than a help.If the owner made this change, I would rate this business 5 stars.

Expensive and did not fix the problem.Highly overpriced parts for repair, (450+ for an ignition coil and plugs) and their $99 diagnostic charge did not identify nor help fix the real problem. The real problem was confirmed by two other shops very easily and turned out to be my fuel injector.
Vehicle broke down on interstate 77 and we were towed to AAA South End. Jane was our point person for diagnostics and subsequent repair of our vehicle...she also guided us to an excellent restaurant! We appreciate the service we received and our car runs great now. Thanks everyone!!

This place is Awesome! They kept me informed of any new expenses as they worked to fix my car. They provided me with choices to keep the cost low as possible. They promised my car on a certain day and worked late to honor that promise! A place I could put my trust in for all my car needs. It is so great to find a place that a woman can trust for car repairs! The staff were knowledgeable and considerate...and the repairs even come with a warranty!
Came to me to replace my car battery. During this time of covid, the technician wore a mask and gloves and didn’t go inside my car. He was friendly and quick.
People were very helpful in this AAA travel center. We went in for an international driving permit and were out in ten minutes with it in hand. $20 as a AAA member and would have been $32 if we needed to get the pictures done as a non member
The service people seemed to be kind enough. However, the dealer would charge me $87 for an oil change. My oil change here was $119 with the $20 coupon. I was surprised that this was so much more expensive than the dealer. Also, I ordered tires and ordered the wrong pair from a 3rd party (who AAA has a relationship with). First, they were supposed to email me when the tires arrived which they did not and this caused me to have to call them more than a few times to determine that they did in fact have the tires for several days. Secondly, when I went to get them installed they had taken my old tires off, had my car up only to find out I did not have the correct tires. This was completely my fault. They informed me that they had a tire to fit my car but was unwilling to have the third party ship them the same tire in exchange. They acknowledged how unsafe my car was but was not willing to simply exchange the tires through the third party who they obviously had a relationship with already. We just put the old ones right back on because I was unable to buy 4 tires directly from them. I have been a member of AAA for many years and decided to try their service shop out even after I felt they were a bit expensive on the oil change. I would not recommend this place as they will put profits over your safety.

Let me tell you why. #1 Showed him a repair sheet from another shop, he matched their prices. #2 He explained the repairs to me in a language I could understand. #3 Said they would look over the car to make sure that those repairs needed to be done. #4 Called and told me what was needed and what was not. #5 SAVED ME MONEY!!!!! We will be back for other repairs. Thus far...fair and honest. THANKS CHRIS!!!

On Oct. 23 we were in Charlotte for business at the airport and we picked up a spike in a tire from one of the construction sites. Surprisingly, the tire did not go flat but we knew that it probably wouldnt hold on our trip back to Charleston. We found the AAA car center by accident. It turned out to be quite fortunate.The staff found a matching tire and managed to get it delivered and installed very quickly. The manager also tried to check with the local Honda dealer since we had road hazard. We were back on the road in an hour. Everyone was courteous, helpful and pleasant. Great service.
These guys are great. I get an honest opinion from them each time I take my car in for a tune-up or oil change. Tony is outstanding and honesty goes a long way when taking your car to the shop!

I have had nothing but excellent service and experience with this location. I have been taking my cars to them for close to 10 years. First at the old South Boulevard location and most recently at their new South Boulevard location. They always provide great service, reasonable prices, and most importantly, are trustworthy. I never feel as if they are taking advantage of me by recommending to fix or replace parts that are not broken. Moreover, Sam, the Manager, is great at explaining what work needs to be done. He is kind and professional and is always looking for ways to fix my cars as needed, while still getting it done at the lowest cost possible. I would recommend Sam and his team to anyone who wants to find a professional and trustworthy place for auto repairs.

Needed battery replacement; was told dealership had to do it because of a transmission concern. Dealership said the transmission concern is IF the car was being towed - I drove my car to AAA South End because 5 minutes from work. Two hours out of my workday and two Uber charges to get back and forth to dealership when AAA South End could have sold a battery and fixed the issue if they had known what they were doing.

I was planning to sign up for AAA membership the same week my vehicle broke down. I hadn’t signed up yet, but was parked right next to this AAA service center when my battery died. I walked over and asked for help, telling them that I didn’t have a membership yet but was planning to sign up for one.They treated me as if I was already a AAA member, helping get my vehicle started and doing a few scans and tests to make sure that I was in good shape before I left. A gentleman at this location by the name of Sam was the one who took care of us. He did an excellent job and was very helpful and informative. Thank you!

The people here treated me very courteously, and even gave me a ride back home and back to the shop when I didnt have anyone else to drive me. They also discovered that my oil filter hadnt been changed in the 7 years I had had the car serviced at other places and, even though it took them about 30 minutes to remove the wedged in filter, they didnt charge me extra labor fees.
I will not go back to this location, bad customer service experience. Went to the one off Woodlawn Rd., I have found my new shop!
Im never one to voice my experiences about...anything really. However, I feel that this must be shared. I took my vehicle in today for a routine oil change at this location. They gave me a quote for service before it was performed, which I did appreciate, although it seemed a bit higher than I had expected, I went through with it. At checkout, I was told that I would need $825 worth of replacement shocks and struts. I was told that it could wait a week or two...I was appalled! I called the dealership that I normally take my car to (all the way in Cornelius) and was told to get the vehicle there as soon as I could. I drove straight there where my car immediately was lifted and my service mechanic asked me to come see something. There was oil covering the underbody of the car, it was as if the mechanic at AAA had made no efforts to clean anything after changing the oil filter. You would think that a $70 oil change might include the clean up after service...guess not. After the shock of the mess you guys left, I was given a new quote for the same service/parts/labor needed, at a FRACTION of the cost. I will never utilize your care centers for anything ever again.
Overall a good experience with friendly staff. Only unfortunate thing was that I was told there was a nail in my tire, and when I declined it being repaired in shop and had it checked out elsewhere, there was no nail. I would have been charged for it if I had not declined. Overall good experience though and seemed fair enough otherwise.

Our vehicle was brought in due to an issue that the dealership should have caught. The wheel almost popped off while driving because the lug nuts snapped off! We had the work done and asked them to hold onto the broken piece so that we could go back to the dealership. They also reviewed the entire vehicle and stated we needed new brake pads and rotors along with other things. We approved the work and asked them to lock the keys in the car in the parking lot for after hour pickup. Two days later we were able to pick it up. 1: the car was UNLOCKED in the parking lot with the keys in the car! 2: they did not leave the broken piece in the car as we asked so we cannot go back to the dealer to show the damage 3: they only replaced 2 of the rotors and shaved down the other two 4: they only replaced TWO break pads! You need to replace all four when you fix rotors, everyone knows this! When we questioned them about the issues they stated they were helping us stay under budget.... then how did the initial quote include all new materials and all 4 break pads? Any yet it came out $150 more for less!?! Do not go here. The people are nice, but the work is poor.

I needed to get a passport photo for my infant daughter. I arrived one evening right after close, but the woman said that she would stay open because my daughter was so cute. Unfortunately, my daughter was tired and uncooperative, so we agreed to try again the next day. When I arrived, it was clear that everybody was expecting us, and the whole team chipped in to help us get a good picture, which was no easy task! Everybody was so sweet and helpful. The AAA Vacations person even pulled up some information to help us for our trip. I was blown away by the service, and I will definitely come back!
I have been here multiple times and the service was great. Back story I had to get my tire replaced and they did at fair price and it was under warranty...They followed through when I got a nail in that tire a month later.Fast FWD about 6 mos, one of my tires got something in it again so I took it there to get it checked out as well as an oil change. I get a call that it was repairable, but they replaced it anyway AND I needed to replace 2 other tires. Long story short she started back pedaling because I knew one of my tires was under warranty, but she wasnt exactly sure which one it was and she didnt give me a direct answer as to WHY 2 other tires needed replaced.Finally go pick up my car she tells me a total that didnt seem right so I had her go through what all of these charges were. She charged me DOUBLE on the oil change because it was synthetic. So apparently they did a special oil change AGAIN WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. She did end up changing the price, but will never go back due to their policy of apparently doing everything and anything they want without my permission.
Sam and his team always go above & beyond to service my vehicle. Their shuttle service and outstanding customer service has made me a loyal customer for over 5 years.
The only thing is the TV wasnt on. Had a great experience thank you

Took my 2013 car here after it had to be jumped from not starting (the battery light was on) they were quick to look at it and said they tested the battery and there was nothing wrong with it. I was skeptical as it just had to be jumped and was asking how/why that could of happened and the employee was very short with their responses. I left because it did start on its own, a few hours later my car didn’t start and the same light came on but it was after hours. I took it to Chevy the next day and it was indeed the battery that had to be replaced as it was leaking acid. I unfortunately will not be taking my car back here again and would not recommend this place to anyone else.
