I came to have my oil changed this morning before leaving for my beach trip. I had the most pleasant experience the staff was especially helpful and attentive I received my service quickly. While I waited I had a wonderful conversation with D one of the employees here who as I could see was working hard while interacting with all the guest. D was hilarious, kind and very respectful. He kept me informed on my car and made sure to offer me water while I wait. I would highly recommend going here for all of your vehicle needs be sure to ask for D.

Wow. I came in for an inspection today and was blown away by the service. The mechanic that was working with my vehicle was incredibly kind and informed me of something to look out for in my vehicle without pushing services on me. This is usually on the back of my mind since I have zero interest in learning about cars which makes it harder to recognize when someones trying to pull a fast one. I didnt get that vibe here with the mechanic I worked with. They seemed sincere.Also, this location provides a free break inspection! Which was awesome.

This was the most delightful oil change service I’ve ever had. The guys working are friendly and personable. I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of and they were done in 20 minutes. Avery was awesome!!

Demoz and everyone there were awesome and very friendly. I have a seized oil filter cap and unable to remove. They brought new tools just to get my seized oil filter when come back in few days. Told me my oil is new and no need to change. Not trying to up sale and make money off of you. Highly recommended this crew.

Avoid this place at all cost. They do not have qualified mechanics at this location. I had a regular oil change at express oil change on S. Tryon, Charlotte first time last week. They did not fill up oil to the proper level. The low oil pressure light was flashing when I reached certain speed. It turned out that the sob didnt fill the oil to the correct level. I dont know if they intentionally cheated to save money on oil?

Liars and scammers! I went there cause my car was overheating. The shop manager Bucky told me I needed to get a new radiator and it would cost $649.00. So I left and got a second opinion and found out it wasnt the radiator at all but a hose that was disconnected that was causing the problem. If you value your money dont take your vehicle here!

Im a long time customer, this weekend I was disappointed with the service technician. My son took his car for inspection this Saturday and failed due to rear window being tinted. My issue is that they knew the window is tinted instead of letting him know that it will not passed. They went through with the inspection process anyway, and then failed the vehicle due to tinted window. If this was a money first then explained later, then I dont need to go back there.Update:So I took the vehicle back to get a reading and the process, so it turned out both driver and passenger side pass,but the rear passenger side didnt. Took it to the dealership, hmm and what do you know passed with flying colors. Difference is that they only require to test driver and passenger side. Thank you! but no thank you!

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP they may try to rip you off. We have been here several times. My wife took her car here yesterday for a simple oil change. She was told by the technician her alternator was bad and needed to be replaced. The car is only almost 3 years old, with a little over 35k miles and still under warranty. We have a drive upcoming that is a good distance so she was concerned and texted me the news about the alternator. I knew immediately this is either an upsell SCAM or the technician/equipment is terrible because alternators DO NOT GO BAD on 35k mileage vehicles unless something is very very very wrong, especially without other electrical indications. She got out of there without a new alternator, but was upcharged to a higher grade oil (another common upcharge scam). Conveniently there was nothing printed on the service review about the bad/failing alternator either. As soon as my wife left we made an appointment at a dealership the car is under warranty at just to get a second opinion on the alternator before our road trip. Sure enough NOTHING is wrong with the alternator!They say a sucker is born every minute. Well this business is banking that theyll be able to scam some suckers. Ive been to this shop several other times for oil changes on our cars and every time there are mentions of this is wrong or that needs to be changed but its usually minor things, not an alternator. After pulling this kind of BS though, we will NOT be bringing our money back here and I would suggest others find another shop that is ACTUALLY honest instead of pretending to be.

Quick, easy service but $65 at the end for an oil change is very surprising to me. Great service, but I wont be back at that rate

I called them to see if they could replace the fuel line on my 1994 van. I told them all of the information about my van over the phone. They told me to bring it over. I had to get towed, which cost $135. When we got there, they looked up the line and told us no one could get it and that wed have to source it ourselves. They were only going to give us a couple of days before wed get towed, which is ridiculous for sourcing a part from 1994 that they couldnt even get. We traveled 1.5 hours to Greensboro to remove a fuel line from a van being parted out.They intended to charge us $115 to install the new fuel line and wouldnt allow us to just do it ourselves in their lot. We asked because wed already gotten this far and spent our own money on gas and tools, but we were going to pay to have them install the line.The manager Bucky went under the vehicle to install the line and told us that is was the wrong part. I told him it couldnt possibly be the wrong line, seeing as wed taken it from the exact same vehicle, but he insisted that it would just fall out.We reminded them that we brought it here with confidence that they could fix it for us. Bucky denied being so confident and insisted that he said hed need to look at it. Why would anybody spend $135 to have it just be looked at.We towed it off property and installed the new fuel line ourselves. It fit and the van now runs no thanks to them.We had intended to give them more business by having them take a look at our brakes too, but we will be taking our business elsewhere.

This place used to be good but now there’s a bunch of lazy people working there starting from the manager, 2 years doing oil change to all my trucks there, not planning to come back anymore.

Timing was great. I arrived for an annual inspection and there was no one else waiting. They took it to the bay and completed the inspection in a few minutes. (I had already checked the basics to eliminate issues). Quick, efficient, professional service.

Terrible mechanics. I have a routine oil change at Express Oil Change on S. Tryon. They did not fill enough oil. As soon as I drove out to the road, the low engine oil light started flashing. How on earth those dumb service guys dont know the right oil level to fill.

I came to get oil change and the black lady named Serdal (or sander) who take care of my car, she has very very bad altitude and worst customer service. She was so mean and rude. I hope the manager see this review and change their employees attitude.

Manager came out to my car to see what I needed (with his mask), told me to pull up in bay 1. I was in and out within 15 minutes for my oil change. Prices were average for the synthetic oil. Best part is I didnt have to my car. Great service and I will be back.

I called ahead to see if there was a long wait for inspections. They said theres no wait currently but cars could come in at anytime and that could change. So I proceeded to head that way.When you pull up to the bay for an inspection, it appears that you are next in line. What they dont tell you, is that they only check your car into the computer when its in that bay. They then pull it all the way through the bay and hide it behind the building behind a line of other cars that are before you.They make it seem like you will be taken care of almost instantly so you wont leave. Reminds me of the doctors office when they finally call you to come to the back, but only to sit in another waiting room back there.I waited 1.5 hours to have a 10 minute inspection done. Would have went elsewhere if it didnt appear that I was next. (Obviously why they do it this way)VERY MISLEADING and dishonest in my opinion.

What a refreshing experience! I have been using Valvoline for more than 5 years. I’ve had crazy incidents and lost tons of oil loss occasionally and have to go back after they’ve serviced my car. I decided it was time to change after my last experience and realized Valvoline didn’t deserve my loyalty any longer.I called Express Oil to get pricing and they were patient and answered all my questions. Unlike other places I called. And they had the best pricing in town! I get there and the guys are pleasant and professional. Did the change and surprised me with a new customer discount. Came in from out of state and was helped right away for a last minute brake pad and rotor job! They close at 5, but he said they will take care of the last customer, no issue. My niece got a oil change and these guys didnt not put the screw back in tight. Her engine locked up while driving home. Her new BMW now has to get a used engine Poor customer service.

I had a very nice experience here. I went for my safety inspection(first time) and I was in and out in 20-25 minutes. The staff was friendly and prompt.

I purchased a set of 35” BFG MK2 tires from this shop and they earned my business with a competitive quote to beat the big competitor down the road. The shop is small and when you go back for a rotation/balance they are always busy or the bays are full even when you schedule an appointment.The other big tire store rotates and balances for free when you buy a set there, this shop does not. Icing on the cake was spending $50 for them to rotate and balance then 2 miles down the road I can hear the weights on the wheels flying off and hitting the wheel wells. Waist of time and money.

Ive been taking my car here for about a year now and Ive never had any issues. The oil changes are a reasonable price for the convenience of not having to get out of your car. IF YOURE A LADY BE SURE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF LADIES DAY DISCOUNT ON TUESDAYS! I usually only get oil changes here and I dont have to worry about them pestering me about other things that need to be fixed. Im in and out in about 20 mins so I usually go on my lunch eat my lunch in the car them have time to spare after. I recently took my car here for state inspection and it takes about 30-45 minutes. I love fast service because I hate having to wait on my car to be serviced. As long as they are not busy the service is really fast. My suggestion for the fastest service time is to avoid Saturdays and afternoons/evening.Thanks Express Oil for all you do! :)

I went for a car inspection today and had a GREAT experience. I called first, that went well, and then when I showed up they greeted me immediately, got it done quickly and even though it was packed with people and cars, they checked me out and took care of me incredibly efficiently and with great attitudes in each interaction. I am impressed. (I am not much of a review person, but really felt this was warranted.)

I dont dishonesty I went in for an oil change and brought my own oil filter and oil as I always do. So Im watching this guy change my oil and he pulls out an oil filter that wasnt the one I bought the last time I was here I used the same bran oil filter and oil every time I get an oil change. I told the manager all he could say was that guy dont work here anymore. Me while Im out of a $15 oil filter I wont be utilizing their services anymore they lost a good customer

Got oil changed. Full synthetic cost me just under $65.41for a little Kia which aint that bad. Gave me $5.00 off just because and another 5 off for prior military. Employees were polite and not overly aggressive with the upselling. Took about 15 minutes or so. I would recommend them

I went to the Charlotte, NC location to receive an oil change on Friday, July 3 at 2:45 PM. The entire visit took 45 minutes due to bad service.When I arrived I told the attendant I wanted an oil change. He started working on my car, then about 15 minutes in he stopped and walked away. Around 30 minutes into the service, I asked him why am I waiting. He finally tells me that they are waiting on an oil filter to come from their warehouse. If I didnt ask, I would have just sat there with no updates.They took $20 off my $88 bill for my wait. I drove an hour to my in-laws, only to discover about 30 minutes later that I had an oil leak. I call the store, the manager told me I could receive a refund if I bought it back. They store was closed on Saturday for the July 4 holiday and on Sunday. By Sunday morning, I had no oil in my car and had to purchase oil to make the drive back home.The store fixed the issue on Monday but did not uphold the refund they promised or even apologize for the inconvenience. The manager was outside and did not even speak to me.

Im a little biased because I work next door to this mechanics shop but they are the best people by far if you need any kind of work done to your car. There prices are fair and the Manager is really a stand up guy. I went in today to get a bulb put in my Saab and the Manager got me in put it in himself and said bye. Never thought of charging me a penny. I know it wasnt hard or took long but that just shows what kinda guy he is. From tires to batteries brakes oil changes this is the place you need to take your car. They are your one stop shop for all your automotive needs. Give them a try and I promise they will take good care of your car and do it with a smile. I wont take my car anywhere else and give them just one shot and you will do the same.

Express is quite a misnomer here... I came in for an inspection, and I was told it wouldnt take long. I pulled into the bay with the big inspections banner over it, and I thought they would be doing it right there. Turns out, they only checked my car in there, and then they put it in a queue of cars waiting for other services such as oil changes, brake checks, etc. In all, I waited about an HOUR for only an inspection. In all my years of inspections, Ive never waited more than 15 or 20 minutes. The process here is completely broken as they should have a way to fast track an inspection that can be done in a matter of minutes. Makes no sense that I had to wait on other customers to get oil changes done before someone could inspect my vehicle. Maybe its a staffing problem, I dont know. The employees I spoke to were friendly, which is the only reason they dont get 1 star. However, theres no way Ill be back. People should never expect to wait that long for such a simple service.

I was given top customer service and excellent beyond the norm care. I ask a lot of questions and had been cheated by another place. Wes Helms took time to do the job proper and educated me where he could about my car needs. In fact the entire staff works as a fine unit supporting each other. I recommend them highly.

I had the best experience here today. Whoever answered the phone was very friendly and told me to come on over after I asked if it was too late to get an oil change and when I was circling around the building trying to figure out what to do someone came out and helped me and told me where to pull my car. Paul hooked me up and all the guys were very helpful and efficient in getting me exactly what I needed without burning holes in my pockets. I’ll definately be using them again and would recommend.

Alright, I went over one day and they told me that I needed a Filter replace to get a oil change but they didnt have the filter. I come back the next day with the filter to get the oil change. They tell me that they can only do the oil change but the oil filter is strip and cannot come out. It would have been easier to let me know that from the beginning. Instead they charge me for a oil change with the old oil filter inside.

I have been going to these guys for about a 1 year 1/2 now. Everyone is so professional and nice. As a woman some mechanics will just push services and never explain what is going on with car issues. As for these guys- they tell me exactly what I need and explain in detail. I never feel rushed or pushed into services. Also, the convenience of sitting in my car for oil changes is amazing. They do good work, very suspect in regards to how they bill and explain the charges. I was told if I let them do the repair the diagnostic fee would be waived. Received the bill and the fee was applied. The explanation was pure BS. I will not take my truck back to these guys for any type of work going forward.

Brandon and the manager here are phenomenal. I went in expecting to need to buy a new tire because I had damage and a flat, but through further investigation they just needed to remount and inflate it. They went the extra mile to check my other tires as well while I was there and gave me peace of mind leaving that all was good with the wheels.

Ive gone to this place for 2 years and the service was so so but it got the job done (and right up the street from where I work). Today, I drop my car off at 8am. I wait til about 11am at the mechanic. No one has updated me on the status of my car. I go up to the front desk, they tell me that I have to have both controller arms replaced on the front of the car (mind you they had already done the drivers side earlier this year. Lucky it was still under warranty). So I am prepared to pay for the other controller arm. Go to work, still no word. I call at 4:45 to check on my car. Still not done. The mechanic told me it would be done by 6pm. Get there at 6pm, the car is still not done. Now the next part is partially on me, but I am seeing charges for things that were not explained to me nor did I authorize. At this point in the day, I was just happy to get my car back...after a 400 dollar bill. And it wasnt even the money. It was the service that will have me not go back again.

They were very kind and friendly and helpful. Made sure that my oil was topped off and made sure that my tires were in good shape. I would refer Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers to everyone.

I just got back from having my oil change and they did an awesome job. Very quick and courteous. I also got a new car inspection and will be going back to have them address those items. Nick the manager was also very kind and very knowledgeable.

When I got off work I stopped at the gas station to get gas. I tried to start my vehicle and it wouldn’t start. I got a tow to an auto shop and they told me I needed a starter. The guy told me I would have to pay a little over $400 to get it fix. I called my dad to see what card I should put it on and he told me we can get it fix for less. My dad told me to buy the part myself and have someone to put it on for me. I called around and everyone told me they had to order the part, they wouldn’t use my part. I finally got to Express Oil and the guy that answered the phone said they could do it and told me what it would cost. The process was fast, smooth, and less expensive Thank you Express Oil for helping me out and especially Mr. Frank for putting my starter on. I am back on the road and will be back to the shop on Friday for an oil change!!!!

This place is good and they’re pretty quick. Being able to sit in your car while the services are being performed are a plus as well. Last time I visited tho there was an employee on the side of the building smoking. As he saw me come around and get ready to pull into one of the bays he made a face and said something under his breath. I guess he doesn’t expect to work while he’s at work.
