This is one of my favorite go to places for unique gifts. They carry lots of Charlotte themed items and local made gift. They have Lots of wonderful stationary for sending cards, gift wrap, and calendars. They also have a section with unique childrens books and toys. Other sections in the store include cooking, birding, architecture, jewelry, candles and personal bathroom care, tea drinkers, alcohol drinkers, and inspirational. Its small but jam packed with fun stuff, plan to spend 30 minutes minimum looking through everything

I could spend hours here! So much to see! Greeting cards you wont find anywhere else in Charlotte...beautiful or funny, your choice. Gifts for all tastes too. Lots to see so plan on spending some time here your first time through! I will Definitely be back!

Okay place with a little bit of everything. I was able to secure some post cards and other wee gifts but not the t-shirts I wanted as those were not available in the needed sizes, and the ones available were quite pricey. This is the hardest town to find souviner t-shirts in at an affordable price!

Paper Skyscraper has a nice variety of books, candles, art work, items for the kitchen, toys and so much more. The employees are friendly and helpful. They also have hand cleaner dispensers located throughout the store for customers.

This is my go-to store when I need to buy a gift, and Ive never been disappointed. I love the variety and quality of what is sold here. I also shop here for occasional small indulgences for myself (candles, irreverent socks, etc.).A good selection of notebooks and other paper goods (as would be expected, given the name). Friendly staff. A great spot to check out if you love paper stores (and this store is MUCH more than that, youll see).

I was struggling to find a few last minute holiday gifts until I stopped here. I love visiting this store for fun and inspiration. By the way, the recipients loved their gifts.

I visited with a specific item in mind, unfortunately Paper Skyscraper did not have the type of paper I was looking for, but with true business integrity they happily told me where to go. They nailed it because the store they told me about had exactly what I needed.

Extremely crowded, despite trying to adhere to pandemic social distancing and limiting volume of customers at the door. Literally wall-to-wall people, which lessened my experience after not visiting for nearly 2 years. The store offers amazing gifts and would normally be worth 5 stars, but I couldnt even enjoy the store or see most of what I wanted due to sheer volume of customers. Looking forward to returning during a much less busy time.

My son was in the hospital and I decided to stop here to get him a little get well gift and a gift for my daughter who was home being a big girl while we were away. Little did I know, they had the cutest toys and books ever! I bought my son (3 years old) music instruments and it kept him so entertained in his hospital bed. And for my two year old, I got her a sketch book and the coolest crayons/markers ever. I also got my mom a really cute thank you card. Ill be visiting Charlotte again soon, and I will be back to get books and def more crayons because I cant find them anywhere else but here. sn: they have a variety of childrens book with great representation

One of my favorite places to shop ever, especially for gifts and greeting cards.

So many fun things to look at, some from the Charlotte or Carolinas area. They have a wide variety of gifts from wine glasses and travel cups, towels with funny or slightly naughty phrases, bar accessories, cocktail mixes, jewelery, clay succulent sculptures, lotions, crazy socks, games...I could go on!!! Its a great local store!! They controlled the crowd as it was busy right before Christmas and its a small store. It was still quite cramped, but had they not controlled the crowd, it wouldnt have been safe. I would definitely go back!

Paper Skyscraper isnt in a skyscraper and isnt made of paper. Rather, its a gift/travel/greeting card store known for an extraordinarily broad collection of unique items from unusual books about travel, to unique cook and barware, to birthday and other wry greeting cards, and much, much, much, much more. It is Charlottes most exceptional store, now under new ownership after the original founders sold in order to retire. My visit yesterday confirmed generally that the promise of continuing the founders buying style seems to be holding. Lets hope that continues, because a tweak here or there will transform this incredibly fascinating and unusual one of a type institution into just another gift store, and that would be tragic.
