This Firestone location has terrible service. It has been slowly getting worse over time. Months again I took my vehicle there and it was there for a week. I was told that a part had to ordered, I had to call them for updates and when I did no one even touched the car. After the wrong part was ordered twice. I was told to take my car to the deal. After the manager stepped in and fixed the problem I said I would give them one more chance.Today (8/22/21) I took my car in for a battery check. I was told by Aaron it can be all these things other than that and it going to take an hour to check the battery. Yes! An hour. After 2 hours I was told it is the battery and it would b almost $200 for a new battery. I asked for cheaper battery options per Aaron ( we only carry Die Hard batteries we do have anything cheaper)I calmly declined and was charged $30 for the battery check. I paid to avoid being the angry black man.I took my car to advance auto parts where the same Die Hard battery was half the price and installation was free.Bye Firestone, me & my 3 vehicles will not miss you.
Very nice young man when my tires are low they put air and check them for free...
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE THESE PEOPLE ARE SO UNPROFESSIONAL ITS RIDICULOUS. I had a 5pm appointment in which I told them I get off work at 5pm so there’s no way I will be able to make it there at exactly 5:00 but the schedule me for 5pm anyway and told me to come as quick as I can just for me to come and when I get there they tell me they can’t take my car for the oil change. I would go someplace else.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I will never go to this Firestone again! I have an 04 Honda Accord that I have always kept up with the maintenance. I normally go to the Harrisburg Firestone but because this one was closer I went to the WT Harris Chesire location. I dropped my Honda off for an oil change, inspection, and tire rotation. 4 days later my car had trouble starting. My car was in good condition before I dropped it off. No check engine light was on, I got a new starter 2 years ago, a new alternator a year ago, and also a new battery so I was very confused. I dropped it back off at Firestone, while waiting for an associate there was another lady complaining about the service on her car and asked for the customer service and corporate number….I explained my issue and that my car was perfectly fine before I dropped it off for an inspection and oil change….they fixed “what they thought” was the problem. They charged me for the labor and the tests to check everything! As soon as I got home, I cut my car off and tried to cut it back on, it would not crank. I immediately dropped it back off at Firestone. They made me leave it over night. They called me the next morning and told me that they checked again for everything twice, including the starter, the battery, and the alternator and that everything looked fine and they couldn’t find an issue. They also claimed that the car was automatically starting for them and that they were not experiencing any of the issues I had explained to them. Which was odd because I can’t make this up. I drove it the rest of the day and it was fine. The next day it wouldn’t crank. I took it to a trusted mechanic and sure enough it was the starter. He told me that the starter looked brand new. I went and purchased a new one and he put it in for me. He showed me the old one where someone had screwed with it. I’m convinced someone there did something to my starter. Also the Hispanic looking man with shoulder length curly hair is very rude and needs to work on his customer service! I took my car to Firestone for a simple service and it turned into a very expensive mistake!!!!!!!!!
Purchased a tire yesterday about 445 pm, brand new. Woke up this morning it was totally flat luckily I have a air pump. Drove up there told them they can’t “look at it until 3” it’s 7 am. It would have took 5 mins to look at my tire that obviously they didn’t put on right because I drove the car home and was in for the evening which is a mile down the road. Will not be back. Somewhere else definitely will have our business.
Thank you to the team at the WT Harris location!! My battery died this morning and they were able to diagnose and replace it immediately. I also did not have my credit card and they trusted me to call in my payment. Just awesome customer service!!!
Ive been knowing the employees (Ali, Hector, David, and Omar)at Firestone for quite some time now. Ive never walked out the store unsatisfied. I highly recommend this store to anyone needing tires, oil changes, state inspections etc. Customer service is always great and work is completed in a timely manner. Thanks for the hard work you guys. Becky
Very good service. Try to schedule an appointment to reduce wait time.
1-David is extremely relatable. If you want success than you have to pay More for the ability to deal with people in such a natural way (Paraphrasing John D. Rockefeller).Great sense of humor.2-“Annabelle” did awesome.Great place.Check them out!
Great experience!!! in my 20+ years driving and taking care of my cars I have never felt more thankful for an auto technician David in the W. T Harris location is the man, He not only took the time to explain and give me the best deal, He also fixed a problem everyone in other Firestone locations seems to have overlooked and gave up, I cant thank you enough David. If you are looking for an honest, caring and sincerely good person you have to go to David in the W.T Harris Firestone location
Love the staff! Great experience everytime!
Stopped in with a tire that had gone flat, Hector took me in immediately. He figured out it was just a defective stem, replaced it then rebalanced my tire properly. Then they took the spare off and put my newly fixed back on NO CHARGE! Great customer service.
I was traveling through Charlotte and my cars cooling system started to overheat and was losing coolant. Hector and Omar were outstanding in figuring out the issue, procuring the part, and fixing the problem on a Sunday to get me on the road the same day. They kept me in the loop and brought me into the shop to show me the issue in person while describing it in detail. They even offered to help me over the phone once I got home if any issues remained. Highly recommended
They told me what my car needed, and fix it, no problem doing it very competitive
I made an appointment for an inspection and was told the wait time would be at least an hour and a half. It ended up being 3 hours. Im not sure what the point of the appointment was if I still have to wait 3 hours for my car to be finished. Additionally, they were not at all enforcing the mask mandate, with some employees not wearing a mask. Ive been to other Firestone locations in the past, and Ive not had any problems. I wont be going back to this location.
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Stood in line while the staff didnt acknowledge that I was they an even walked right by me only to finally get to counter and they say they cant do inspections until Thursday. Incredible...wont be back
I took my vehicle in for an oil change last week and was told that I needed a new battery. The guy explained in detail that my battery was operating on a very low level. I told him to just change the oil but give me the print out. I then told him that I purchased a brand new battery in January so why do I need a new one in May. I called parks Chevrolet where I purchased the battery in January, they told me to bring the vehicle in, they checked the battery and it was fine. I’m posting this to say...Ladies beware, ask questions and keep a record of the service being done on your vehicle.
Courteous professional and polite
Hector and David are both professional and informative. Hector showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and ensured me that it would be taken care of. Thank you for treating your customers with care.
Outstanding customer service!!! With the cold weather, my car warning light indicated low tire pressure. The gentleman was very kind, friendly and efficient. Wonder if all your Firestone franchises have such exemplary employees? Well done!
In April I had new tires put on my truck they didn’t align the vehicles correctly and it caused uneven wear on the front tires and a terrible vibration over time. They told me that there was nothing they could do and the wouldn’t warranty the tires. They told me I now have to spend another 700 on tires.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I VISITED THIS PLACE COUPLE OF DAYS BACK TO GET MY FLAT TIRE FIXED. THEY ONLY HAVE ONE SOLUTION THEY HAVE FOR FLAT TIRE IS TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE. WHEN YOU ASK TO PUT THE TIRE BACK THEY SAY THAT THEY CANNOT PUT IT BACK.
So far so good. I had my Land Rover towed there last night with an alternator issue. I hope I can continue this good review shortly. They think they can have it fixed quickly. That would be great as my wife and 3 year old are waiting in NC ready to head back to Ohio.
Way too expensive.
One of the BEST experiences I have ever had at Firestone, professional staff great crew, I will be back
Service was on my car was okay but I was very uncomfortable that this business does not enforce their own requirement that customers wear masks. I also observed employees out front wearing masks over their mouths only, noses were uncovered. While I was there 2 people came into this establishment without masks when the sign on the door clearly states that they should call ahead to make other arrangements if they are not wearing a mask. Also my car was driven by a bearded guy who was not wearing a mask and he also came into the front office several times during the hour I was waiting. This Firestone location does not take the virus seriously and has no regard for their customers safety.
Not sure why they are getting bad reviews but I want to leave a five star one for ten star service. I was truly amazed at Jon and Adam when I went in. I came in for an inspection, oil change, brake check, and burnt out turn signal. Im used to being able to change my cars lights on my own but with my new car I couldnt figure out how to change my front turn signal. I asked them if they could show me so I wouldnt damage my car. Neither one got upset and Adam kindly comes out to help and looks to see if it can be done. After looking, he sees it cant and explained why. Not many places will come out to show you how to do something on your own car so that you take money out of their pocket. I was thoroughly impressed with them. They also didnt talk down to me because I was a female or treat me like I was stupid or didnt have car knowledge. Very pleased with this place and will definitely be back.
Been going here for close to 6 years now. They do good work and are forthcoming with issues and concerns. Obviously they are a business and operate as so. Labor is standard for a non independent shop but less than the dealer. As a customer, you should be informed on pricing for your particular vehicle as well as realistic in your expectations. Ive never had a problem and they do upsell, but if you know what you need, theres never an issue. Thanks again.
In the past(2-3 years ago), I have taken 2 of my vehicles here for tires and some minor steering repairs. Excellent service. Now for todays review: I scheduled an appointment to have two winter tires put on my new car. I scheduled the appointment for a few days out so they would have time to get the tires I wanted in. Day of my appointment, I go in and they dont have my tires. I ask for another tire, they dont have that either. But you know what they did have? The most expensive tires. SMH. In the past when they didnt have the tires I requested, I got a call and they ordered them and changed my appointment date, I was fine with that. Did they do that this time? Nope. And the guy at the counter, I think his name was Aheem, wasnt helpful and didnt seem willing to try and obtain my business. This place has lost me as a customer.
Does it actually take more than 10 minutes to check tire pressure? Absolutely no customer service. Your shop is still open which means you are still offering a service even if you do close in 10 minutes. You cant finish working on 4 cars in 10 minutes. As loyal as I was to this company for over 20 years from 5 different states in which I have lived. I have never been turned away from a Firestone even with 5 minutes on the clock to closing. I guess its a first time for everything.Black, proud, and YEESSS, I am feeling some type of way about it!
Great work, always dependable for accurate answers!
I came in to replace my tire and the guest service along with mechanical services was outstanding. They seemed to genuinely care about time, price range and most of all, my safety. I will 100% continue going to this location.
Four new tires very fair and reasonable the work was done quickly and efficiently by friendly staff no new tires very fair reusable the work was done quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. They did try to do a little upset on me but when I explained to them situation they were holding prepared to back off of just let me buy what I needed
Every single time my car breaks down or I need to get it looked at I go here. I have had exceptional service every time. The staff here goes above and beyond the call of duty. There was even one time they stayed late for me because my car wasnt finished yet. I have always heard horror stories of women being charged more on car repairs and I never have to worry about that here. They charge a fair price and they are extremely professional. I will be a loyal customer here as long as I live in Charlotte.
Everyone was so nice and funny i had no issues and they got my oil change done quickly
I will definitely be back to this location. Staff is super friendly and the service is amazing. In the past few days, I’ve needed an oil change, state inspection, and a new battery. Firestone had the best prices out of any other place I checked. I don’t feel intimidated by the employees (as I often do, as a person with zero car knowledge) and I feel they are up-front and honest when speaking with me. Thank you for making my car maintenance experience very quick and low-stress! Joe and Ervin were more than helpful (and patient with me) and I really appreciate that.
Horrible except for mary at the front desk
Wasnt pleased with first visit. Robert, the manager contacted me, went back and they completed the work in less than an hour, were very polite, I even saw Robert go out and check on the progress of my vehicle and he even refunded me for having to return and told me to let him know if I needed anything else. Very polite and professional. Way to go Robert and Firestone team.
Ask for hector! i ran over a ladder on 77 and he made my car feel brand new!
I got an oil change here last weekend where the technician told me all my tires were at a 1 and they needed to be replaced. I told him I would go to my local Firestone and have them replaced as I was visiting Charlotte from out of town. I took my vehicle to my local Firestone by my home where they showed me how to check my tires and showed me my tires were at a 5 and didn’t need to be replaced. I would get a second opinion before replacing tires on the recommendation of this location.
Worker named Hector hangs up the phone as i was trying to schedule a tire change. Horrible service.
Horrible customer service. Waiting for hours with no one checking on me or giving me updates. There was only one person at the desk. He clearly needed help. He was missing many calls, there was a line and each person took forever to take care of. He initially said he wait would be an hour but I ended up waiting 4 hours. All I needed was one tire changed. I wont be going there again.
Very nice and very professional, but took an hour and half to do safety inspection. Even w emmission testing, thats a 20 min job.
How often do you hear that your car needs LESS work than expected?! Love the folks here. They earned my loyalty through the convenience and keep it through their integrity.
Have had these guys work on various vehicles and everything has worked out ok. Floor guys are pretty good and have never had to wait more than one day to get the car back. They seem honest.
This place is a scam. Avoid this location at all costs. They will do unauthorized things to your car and charge you for it, they will get you 1000 dollars into fixing your car before letting you know about another 1200 dollar fix that you drove off their lot with. This place needs to be investigated. If what happened to my friend happened to me I would be standing at their front door with a police officer.
Why would Firestone give you a appointment but even when you arrived 10 minutes earlier; tell you its an hour and 1/2 wait to put 1 tire on. 2 hours later and they just gave me back my vehicle. 1 tire installed, am I missing something here? Just be up front with me next about the wait time! This is definitely bad management; someone should be put in charge of handling only appointments and someone else for walk ins . No stars if only I could!!!
Very slow service. The manager will lie to certain walk in customers that attempt to make appointments for the next day by telling them that they are booked for appointments, then when someone calls in, he tells them, he can work them in. Liar. I dont know why my Husband took his car here for tires with all the other choices in Charlotte. The waiting area is filthy and there are no outside chairs for customers who dont want to deal with all those germs coming in and out. They try to upsale as well with their alignments. After waiting 2.5 hours for tires, the alignment should have been provided as a courtesy. One tech was even in the repair area smoking. The manager will see you have been sitting there, waiting patiently and will not offer an apology or any updates regarding the delays. I did notice that privileged customers seemed to get in and out of there quickly. Why would anyone take their car here unless they absolutely dont have any other choice? All the negative reviews are accurate. They are getting bad reviews on here because of new Management.
11-07-20: Horrible service experience than from before ... Under new Center manager everything was Bad, from the appointment arrival to delivery service and cost! Will never use them after 3 years of being a loyal customer !!! Called District Office and filed a complaint. No response to date ( 11-18-20). I recommend AAA Auto Repair Center on WT Harris Blvd ! Thats where I will take my car going forward ... 😎
My wheel was shaking when hit the breaks so I went in for a break inspection. I was told my break and rotors looked great and all I needed was a tire rod and alignment which was a total of $357. So I agreed to get the problem fixed. After driving a day or two I noticed the shaking was not as bad but I could still feel it if I was breaking going over 45mps. I decided to take my car back and see what the problem was. The 2nd time I waiting over 5hrs to have my car inspected and was then told a list of other problems that had nothing to do with the shaking. I explained to the guy on the phone that I only was interested in getting the shaking problem fixed and I had just brought my car the week before. He becomes combative telling me whoever did my breaks should have known that I needed my rotors done too. I explained to the worker how I found that statement to be a little ironic since I was just there last week for a break inspection and was told my rotors where prefect. The guy still trying to be argumentive told me the other guy who worked on my car last was a temp. After going back in forth with him for about 10mins went to pick up my car and needless to say NOTHING WAS FIXED!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
My first experience was bad. They made it up and went back for round two. I will never be back. I got my oil changed. Later that day my car was running hot. It had zero coolant in it. I get I did not go in for that check but I am sure they could have saw and let me know. Especially since it is the summer time. The place I went always would top off coolant and windshield wiper fluid every oil change.
When you go into get repairs done, pay for the labor, time, and parts, and yet, TWO months later, the same issues arises again AFTER youve already been told the problem was taken care of. What is this.
Not sure why they are getting such bad reviews on here. Today was my second time at Firestone and the same lady there helped me as last time. She was super friendly, helped me fix the problem, and gave me some great car advice for future reference in case the problem ever happens again. She went above and beyond to help me out. As far as my previous maintenance on the car, I have never had problems with it since!
I went here for an oil change. I got there an hour before they closed. There was only one couple ahead of me. I can understand (even if barely) that they did not want to do the oil change at that time as it may have taken them past the closing time. What I did not expect was for them to be so rude when I told them what I was there for. I asked politely for an oil change and the guy at the counter looked at me smirked and said, No, not today, in a very rude and condescending way. I was surprised that they did not even advise me to come back the next day.I understand if they did not want to do the service but they could have been more polite. I have had service at a different Firestone location and they were great, so I dont know what happened here. I will avoid this location in the future.
Close proximity to my house and I got their card so no interest if paid in 6 months.
Went in to get a tire changed, they were done very quickly and I even had a nice conversation with the gentleman up front. Absolutely would go back again.
Left my car to get the oil change done. Was called about concerns with battery. Polite emploees.
Really helpful group of people. They explain everything that you need to know or have questions car wise. Great customer service
Great experience. They have a staff that you can really trust to take care of your car. Extremely knowledgeable managers who will do whats best for your car and wallet!
Great Place to Buy Tires..and Back their Product...Thank You Firestone and Joe for Outstanding CS
The guys at Firestone Northlake are the best. When my daughter had a car issue and was stuck in the rain, the manager, Andrew came to her rescue not once, but twice. He took the time to assist her just before they closed and return after he closed up to check and made sure she was ok. Fortunately for her, she still needed help. Andrew stayed with her, in the rain, and got her car working again. The most impressive part is, she wasnt even a Firestone customer. She just needed some help with her car when it shut off after leaving the mall. He wouldnt even take a our tip! Thanks Andrew! This really demonstrates the importance of customer service to you and that you truly care. I highly recommend them!!!
I had fantastic service. Delivery as promised, no hidden up charges. I typically get the feeling that Imbeing taken advantage of when getting auto service. However, this location and the management staff did a fantastic job of diagnosing the problems with vehicle, completing only necessary work, all at a cost lower than I anticipated paying.
They always do good work, have fair prices, and great people.
Friendly and professional did a great job with new tire and helped out a veteran with a little discount
This is one of the best car service places I have visited, very up front with explaining what is happening with your car and what is needed, a patient staff, easy to communicate with, not rushing through your concerns and not rushing through explaining whats going on with your car, I thought it was very good service, I will be returning for my car needs in the future.
Even with an appointment...usually will have to wait....can be pricey for basic services...I wrote this review a while back and some woman from corporate challenged my review, which has since disappeared, if you are still interested in knowing why I gave you 3 stars, I have remembered the techs name that started this whole downward slide....your call.
Got a flat on a Friday night travelling from Florida to New York. Stayed over night with a niece and nephew and this place took me in early on a Saturday and fixed me right up. Left for home on Sunday as planned.
The mechanics were standing around talking while I waited over an hour for an oil change. Only one other car in there.I would never go there again.
Been going for 3 years. Never had a complaint. Great customer service.
My experience was horrible. Although I am thankful that my vehicle was fixed, one of the staff members in particular whos name is Robert, a heavyset caucasian male, was very unprofessional and occasionally rude. At the conclusion of my transaction I asked a simple question what was the breakdown of my payment and his vibrant response to me was with an attitude and he proceeded snap back and say its the same price we discussed a few days ago. Thats right a few days ago my vehicle was sitting there for two days before it was officially fixed. I will never come back here, Mr. Robert and his uncanny unprofessionalism has permanently ruined my experience with Firestone. Other than that kudos to the guys that were fixing my vehicle. Outstanding job to them.P.S. its not what you say its how you say it Mr. Robert.
Excellent service by Joe to fix the issue right promptly.
I bought my S550 Mercedes Benz from Atlanta Ga and drove it all the way to Charlotte N.C The next day I took it to Firestone for a complete diagnostic to make sure it has no problems. They said I needed rotors and brakes on the front and rear also wheel barrings for both wheels on the front and an inner tie rod on the left front wheel as well they would not let buy my own parts which was way cheaper than the parts they provide even though they get them from the same place(AutoZone) and just do an upcharge so I got the work done which came to a grand total of $1400.00 I dropped my car with them at 12pm afternoon and they didnt finish until closing time at 7pm.. when I picked my car up they were obviously leaving as I left so by the time I got home I noticed a noise from my left front wheel the same wheel they replaced my inner tie rod on the funny thing is the noise didnt occur until after they worked on my car I drove it all the way from Atlanta Ga and never heard a noise period!. So I took it back to them the following day and asked them to look at it and they put me on the back burner telling me they cant until later. So I decided to take my car up the street to NTB and a master technician looked at my car lifted it up on the machine and showed me the inner tie rod they put on the bolt was loose and not tight at all the brake sensors that they pit back on was not on all the way and he checked my lug nuts with a tension wrench and 3 lugs on my front left wheel was loose and 2 lugs on my front right wheel was loose which is very dangerous !! So he tightened everything up for me and put my brake sensors on properly .. if I didnt take my car to NTB after Firestone I could have been in grave danger!! I would not recommend going to This Firestone period!!!
Fast! Honest info.! No hassle! Great Service
This store has the worst service and salespeople in the city. I will never go back there again. They always find something wrong with your vehicle to charge you for, always.
I enjoy going here. They are nice and helpful.
Ive been here 2-3 times and have had a great experience each time. They are timely, honest, and reasonably priced.
Service was fine the last couple of times Ive been. I agree the lounge could be updated.WiFi asks for personal info before you can use it. They already have your info so its annoying.
I went for my car inspection and I had to go back 3 times. After I got inspected the first time I was told that the engine belt didnt pass the inspection, neither the license plate light so it would cost me $170 to get this fixed. I did my research and the belt is not part of the inspection and I replaced the bulb myself spending $2.99.A friend was told that he needed a new A/C unit and it would cost $1,200. He took it to another mechanic and his system had a leak, he got it fixed for $20Tony the guy at the front desk will rip you off if you let him. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
Great service
Great fast service and customer friendly.
Quick service, good prices, Great place to get inspection!
No clue why the reviews are so bad here. The people here are nice and timely as possible.I came here for my first state inspection and before they started they warned me that it would fail just from the engine light being on. It had been on for almost 10 years and no one could figure out why. While repairing the major problems with my Evap system they checked to see what else would need to be done for it to pass, gave me a quote, and set up an appointment for another day since I didnt have the time for additional work.I went in today to have them finish but the place they ordered the parts from had misplaced them and instead of having me wait at the shop while they found it elsewhere, the man who helped me (I believe his name was David) offered to give me a lift home since I lived down the street and even picked me up when my car was ready.Excellent service from these guys. Im definitely coming back for any work Ill need from now on. Also thank you to technician Michael who worked on my car both days =)
Great staff, got the work done. Just wish they had more people so the wait wasnt so long
Im not certain if they are crooks or just completely incompetent. At any rate I went in and asked them to re-align my car. After checking my car they refused to align the car and informed me that they would need to replace a steering knuckle (quite an expensive part on my car, with a hefty labor charge as well) before they would re-align it.Took the car to a different shop and as it turns out there is absolutely nothing wrong with my steering knuckle, car was just badly out of alignment. Will not be returning to this location.
So helpful and gave me great service. Will defientoy be back.
Ive been taking both of our cars to Firestones in two states/three cities for years. After moving to the North Charlotte area I read a few bad reviews about our new local Firestone here, but believed in the brand enough to overlook it and see for myself. The first bit of work our Neon needed (bad wheel bearing) went fine. Pricing was competitive. However, immediately after the work being done we began to have an issue with the car stuttering (something about the timing belt/system). We took it back in, and agreed to eat the cost of a new diagnostic because Im not going to blame anything on them, it may have just been coincidence. Two hours after dropping the car off for the diagnostic (the initial fee was already double what Aamco and other companies charge for a full diagnostic) I received a call from Jason basically stating that unfortunately it was going to take longer than normal to diagnose and that they would have to charge us double.I politely explained all of the business weve brought to the company (we have/had a full credit account with them for that very purpose) and that although I originally agreed to the exorbitant pricing on the diagnosis I couldnt agree to doubling that figure. I wasnt paying for man-hours of diagnosis time, but rather a diagnosis and it taking longer than normal wasnt a valid reason to charge $100 before any work had even been done. If the diagnosis took less than the average time would I be given a refund back for the man-hours not used?We were very polite and cordial in the refusal, but I definitely got the sense that they were trying to extort extra money out of loyal customers.I didnt even bring up the point that they have misdiagnosed car troubles twice in the past year.Bottom line: I believe in the Firestone brand on the whole, but DO NOT go to this particular location. It is not an honest branch of the company and should be cited by the company. The staff was so blatant in trying to charge extra for nothing that we have destroyed our Firestone Credit Card and will be taking our vehicles to the local Aamco in the future while we live here.
Would give zero stars if possible. Test drove my car knowing it had an internal engine issue, pretty much destroyed it to the point it is undrivable, and then proceed to tell me the cant fix it at all and Ill have to have it towed elsewhere. And, I guess they were going to keep the car indefinitely, until they came up with some sort of justification because I had to actually call to get this information. Stay very far away if youre looking for any thing other than an oil change.
Awesome Staff and great service. Joe can change my oil anytime ;)
I had to tow my car to this shop because it is the closest place to my house, and my car was not starting at all that morning. After a $99 diagnostic check they told me they had to replace the crankshaft sensor, and it would be $268 parts an labor. I had no choice, and the smile on the guys face let me know he knew that...so I had to agree to the job. As I watched from a chinese restaurant accross the parking lot my car sit on that parking spot for about 30 min untouched. It seems that they were waiting for the sensor to arrive to the store, which they charge me $78 for it ( I found out later I could have bought it myself for $34). Once the sensor arrived the mechanic went to the parking (they didnt even took the car inside) and right on the spot he turned the wheels to the right to gain access to the sensor area. In 12 min by my watch he changed the sensor. Im glad I said no when they tried to sell me some other stuff the car needed done. One rip off is enough. I called Pep Boys the following day and they charge $190 for the same job. But the truth is I could have done that myself as the sensor fits in my hand and no many tools were used. They made all that money in 12 minutes of labor...on the plus side the mechanic himself was very cortious.
The people were not so mean to me but the time they took to get my brakes took forever. I got here since 7am and its 1am still waiting on it so for now it
Firestone is my go to place for tires so I figured I would go and get a headlight put in and the guy tried to charge me $60. Crazy
I cant say that they are not nice people, but I dont really care about that. I came to fireplace hoping that I could just get my inspection done and then they ripped me off on tires that I was forced to get. I just dont like the vibe I get at this place. I would not recommend this place.
Okay where to even start. first off i was not a customer but a general hourly shop employee there. main work was clean stack tires oil changes and air pressure checks. well hearing all these reviews on here believe me they are all true. because management at this place treats not only their customers like garbage but their employees as well. i wont say no names but the two people that run the place when i worked there would send me out on errands from making shop deposits at the bank to picking up tires from other Firestone locations to McDonalds. only instead of telling me im supposed to keep track of my miles they took advantage of me and guzzled MY gas money. i drove a 45 minute 60 mile round trip every day and i make the least pay of anybody there. i come to discover they never sent my transfer request through for district approval like they are required to do along with that it took 2 delayed weeks to finally get any paycheck. theyd also harass and hound me more than anyone else in the shop saying im too slow when in reality i actually did my job more productively and precisely my way. i should know precision i was a fabricator for a professional motorsports team. im pretty sure you have time on hands as a manager when you can stand there running your big mouth saying that i walk slow. furthermore when i would approach a customer id greet them with a smile and keep em in good spirits when putting air in their tires. id even go out of company rules to check their oil if they asked. but its disgusting after observing the way managers treat people here. im pretty sure you can train a monkey to have better people skills. so being fed up with their half assed ways of running a shop and standing around getting their panties all in a wad instead of working like a leader next to us and helping us. i resigned. and i forewarn anyone in future. coming from a guy who worked on a professional raceteam prior to this job. they lack professional work ethics and good attitudes and are snobby crooks. save yourself the time do not work there or shop there.
Allie is SUPER cool..
After I purchased and installed new set of tires for my car, the guy at the counter tried to convince me to get them aligned for $79.99. As I hesitated, he started reducing the price $10 at a time but somehow I rejected his offers. The way he treated me after that negotiation was horrible. Worst customer service ever!
