Their weighing scale is corrupted. I bough few groceries yesterday and billed at the first counter. To my surprise the weights were totally off the charts and when I weighed them with my digital weighing scale at home, Its not even close to half of what they billed me for. Upon calling, Manager was like - we never do these stuffs and agreed to give me the credit. I stopped by the next day and the associates at front desk doesnt even pay any attention until they got to see the weight difference with their own eyes (weights are correct in all other registers except the first one) They did give me the credit after collecting their veggies :) but not sure how long ago their weight scale was messed up. ****Their Manager is not convinced yet and advising their front desk cashiers to keep using that cooked up register for billing!***** Dont know whom to blame here but the poor customers are kind of cheated!!!
Excellent customer service and selection. Very clean and well stocked.
The price of Kankoda in Patel Bazaar which was spoiled was 6.99 Dollar and if it is too much to calculate it is bad then they should sell cheap Corona and the price of some items has gone up many times after the virus.compare to other Indian store they got high price on some of few products
Huge selection and the largest Indian grocery I’ve been to. I used to go to a small one on Independence like 20 years ago to rent Bollywood movies. Would’ve liked to buy samosas or food already prepared, but the line was long. Picked up several spices that were good and spicy which is sometimes hard to find with the Indian selection at Harris Teeter.
Great prices. I dont buy everything I need from here, but when I buy 5 things, it rarely amounts to more than $20. Friendly staff
Its good .Almost every asian items are available and prices are also very reasonable.
The best grocery store for indian food items. It has a wide variety of food stuff to select from. The staff is courteous. Everything is neatly arranged . They also carry utensils which is a pro but the prices are a bit higher. There is also a mini snack bar which offers various snacks like samosas chats etc.
Great Indian grocery store with so many foods I’ve never heard of. It’s quite large for a specialty supermarket, and it was very clean. The staff were courteous and helpful, asking if there was anything in particular we were looking for. There were many types of spices, snacks, and exotic fruits and vegetables. Check it out!
Nice place to get indian groceries. Samosa and other snacks could be better. Overall a nice place to get your monthly grocery shopping done.
Largest Indian grocery store. Very clean and neat .large selection of everything
Plenty of options for Asians. Great customer service and price is reasonable.
Took Crystal Rice from Patel last week, and they wear not on sale. I get to see the rice worms in the rice. When I called them they wanted receipt of the day when I purchased and they would like to see the rice bag.Poor customer care and they were not even responding properly.Check your rice when you open and make sure to keep proofs to show which is very weird.
Lot of varieties of Indian grocery. You can get homemade style Western Indian food.
I view Patel Brothers as the same-old Indian grocery store, but with a really convenient location. PB is a chain, with distributors all over the country (and world). For this reason, they sometimes have products that are sitting on shelves for months and months. I definitely agree with people that choose this place over Harris Teeter; after all, the vegetable selection is fresher, more affordable, and WAY more diverse. However, this place gets a 3-star rating because of the overall operation and atmosphere of the store. The workers definitely dont enjoy being there, and Farmers Markets (as well as other Indian grocers) offer better prices for fresh produce. In the end, the Pineville location is what redeems this place, and will likely ensure it being packed on the regular.
Organized store. Easy to find things. Nice and fresh vegetables.
Love this place, you can almost all indian things from this store. I usually visit on a Saturday and the vegetables are so fresh. I like the fact that the store is huge and spacious. They have a fresh chapati counter. Not a fan of thick chapatis, but they are a good substitute to a frozen one. Their dry snacks counter is also pretty good.
Good . Need improvement in availability of trolley and discarding items
Our regular indian grocery shopping goto place.
Its very nice grocwry shop. I have visited here frequently. They have Indian grocery, vegetables, fruits, sweets, frozen items. Cleanly maintained. Staff is very thoughtful and provide best serviceThey have small eatery inside the shop. Worth the visit.
Stumbled into Patel Brothers by accident, couldnt have been happier. Being a New Yorker, I was a regular at their locations in Jackson Heights and Nassau County. Selection of frozen products was plentiful and reasonably priced.
Indian grocery items -You name it and it’s there. Easy to locate the item s you looking for & very good collection of Indian brands .
This store is good clean fresh veggies mostly over weekends 😀. Also they keep fresh Samosa n patties as a fast food. I love the price that they sell those fast food than other store. Mostly i found everything of my choice in this store.
Very disrespectful staff and arrogant .. Their staff thinks that professional peoples who comes to shop Grocery will steal their chilly and ginger. We have just settled in abroad to steal their veggies.Cheap people and cheap mentally. Observed always their register staff always argues with customers.
Amazing products but be careful probably make a list before shopping as they are not accepting returns due to Covid.
The place is good and the employees are helpful to find the required things. But dont know still something is missing to give five stars. Maybe because of the over expectations on the store from my side. Have to visit the store again without expectations to get satisfied 100%.
Well maintained and snack bar there is good. Sometimes the vegetables are out of stock but others are good .
They have good variety of items... As well as they serve indian chats and few snack items which are really good.We took bhel puri chat, dahi puri chat, samosa chat with dahi, vadapav, kathi roll(didnt like much), masala pav, dhokala, kachori chat, samosa pav. Everything thing was good taste. Pav was not top notch but was fine.
Need to be very careful on expiry dates. If you don’t pay attention to the dates, you will end up buying product with lesser due date.
It would be nice if you could find away to show case some traditional Indian dance like Odissi for shoppers to see, that would attract more attention to your location
Very nice clean grocery store with an amazing selection of produce. I went in looking for jackfruit and was not disappointed. Highly recommend!
Good Indeed an Grossary store
One stop big Indian grocery store for all your needs. Neatly kept and stocked. Would be better if the price stickers and products match while some dont even have price stickers on the shelves.
One of the best Indian grocery store in the city. Very spacious and clean. Youll find almost anything including fresh vegetables.
Best groceries and prices. Brings east to the west.
Great place for Indian grocery
Store is very spacious and groceries quality is good.
Always a decent experience with Patel brothers.
I go to Patel (next to Value City) regularly for veggies because theyre closer to my place. But this time, 3 days after my groceries, I go back to exchange a piece of rotten yucca root that I bought from them. I told them that I am not returning it, but I just need to exchange it. They would not replace it even presenting with the receipt. I was expecting an apology from selling a rotten vegetable, but shocked from the attitude they showed to me.My concern is they dont have a good customer service. Cashiers also slam your veggies in the bag while talking in their language to their fellow workers.I shop to them because they are closer to my place, but now I would rather drive farther for my asian grocery. Patel lost my business for the worth of $1.99.I would give them a zero star for my experience, but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest.
Like shopping there because I get the best veggies etc but seem to be racially biased at times... well most of the time... I am a black man from Trinidad with many Indian roots but looked at like we were in the wrong place... Do Better!!!!
Patel is home away from home. They have great product variety and overall great service.
This is a good place to get grocery items mostly used by Indian household. Being a big space, they are able to lay out the items in easily accessible manner.Just be aware when you buy items made of milk products specially sweets. We had experience once when the sweets we purchased had fungus on it. Luckily we noticed it before opening the plastic seal. When we went to return, it was happily replaced. It would be better if the store could keep an eye on their milk products and save travel time for their customers if possible. In this time of Covid, they have provided hand gloves before entering the store and this is very good gesture. They possibly also need to keep a control on how many people are allowed to enter inside the store based on their calculated capacity and have directions on the floor like other stores to help maintain social distancing.
Wonderful market. Be sure to try the veggie burgers they make. The sweet snd the spicy are both delicious!
Full blown Easy Indian supermarket. Quite a variety of fruits vegetable and spices. Well laid out. However very few products are in English.
Have delicious Somosas freshly made in the back!! Yummy
Just saw a staff member cleaning the fruit stands with windex sparing the fruits along with it. (Apples on the side in picture) I wish there was a way to post a video but please make sure you guys wash your fruits well. So no one gets sick or don’t buy them here. This was the area he was doing it at.
It was quick in and out. But didnt find fresh tomatoes early in the morning. Wish you had spices in bottles too instead of just plastic bag. That would be easy for first use too. Friendly staffs and clean.
Nice place for Indian groceries.Good parking space.Friday evening if we go,you can get fresh veggies for working people who can plan shopping.
Good place to get all your Desi food/ ingredients. I always go here to get all my desi food needs. Really easy and convenient, all in one place. Sometimes the price labels are confusing or are completely missing, but other than that no complaints.
Great service friendly staff. Event variety
They do not have bakery which is what I was looking for
Perfect place to buy Indian items. But for some reasons they never have phulka fresh rotis.
The variety and size is awsome
I went shopping there the other day. I watched a store worker lower his face mask, cough into his hands and then went back to work touching all the Diwali products. It was so gross, I just turned around and left without buying anything that he was even close to.
The groceries quality is very good and also ready to eat food is very tasty.
A place for all of your needs of Indian Taste
Nicely stocked store. Was impressed with the cleanliness. Mask policy and social distancing was maintained.
Everything good except problem with bags. At counter they ask for box and if we dont accept that. They will start pushing all the stuff in bags and I had been experiencing of bags getting busted and loss of my grocery. If management can consider of bag policy like Walmart does, that will be great.
Great store
Ive reviewed Patel Bros. before. Nothing new to add. If youre looking for Indian foods, spices, or whatever, and you cant find it for less elsewhere, this would be the place to go. Prices arent necessarily cheaper and a lot of what they have can be obtained elsewhere. But if this is your preference, you should do quite well.
The store inside needs some upgrades. The produce availability was good.
This is one of the only spot which has everything we need in Charlotte. Customer service is great as well but sometimes they don’t have stock which need to be taken care because people drive 30-40mins to be here.
If you like Indian foods and cooking, this is a good place to start. Huge supermarket type store carrying just about everything youd need to throw together an Indian meal or just a few snacks. This one even has a section for American food. I found the prices to be a bit on the high side and buying in bulk didnt seem to provide any savings at all. If your up for a walk through some exotic food offerings, this could be an interesting hour or so, wandering up and down the aisles. For all your Indian cooking needs in one place, this seems like the place.
Clean store with plenty of food options
Good place for more variety of rice and fresh veggies
Good variety of items.
Love shopping for produce here, good selection and great prices. I also love the bread here, if youre looking for flat breads in abundance go to Patels.
I love to shop here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The huge variety of foods are great. Things that may be unusual to some Americans I can always find here. Im really pleased to have this place so close to my home.
All the Indian Groceries you need at one place!
Good breakfast in the morning.
Fantastic place if you are looking for Indian food products. It is set up like a grocery store and the aisles are wide and so much to look in each aisle. The produce looked fresh and there was plenty. They also had a bakery with freshly made breads and pastries. And they also sold things in bulk. The freezer section has lots of options also. My favorite part was the spices aisle! They had everything and the prices were reasonable too. I will definitely go back and highly recommend.
This place provides me with every kind of indian vegetables I need. This place also has the indian groceries which we wont be getting in the places like walmart or costco. The yogurt we get here is good on taste too.
Clean parking lot with lots of space. Inside of store very tidy and spacious. Store clerks and managers throughout store who were readily available to answer questions and help locate products. Really good fresh produce section. The store even offers LARGE fresh Aloe Vera. There is A LOT of merchandise to explore and choose. I shall return.
Staff is so helpful, best customer service. Great selection and well stocked one of the my favorite Indian grocery store. Highly recommend this Patel’s Brother 👍
The store is big and has great collection of Indian groceries and food. The customer service is poor. No smiling, No wishing, No assistance, No Thanking. Would be a best store if customer service is improved.Good thing is that the store is clean and well maintained.
I like therefood product
I know his sister too
Clean store, wide isles, good selection, canteen with good snack items.
Best Indian grocer for those who live in Charlotte!
I am a black American from NY. I had tested all kinds of foods from the Caribbean. This store has a great but of them all. I know people from Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad, Guyana, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Antigua. I have tasted many of foods from them all. This place reminds me of them all.
Nice place, all item are fresh and good, enough parking lot, enjoying.
Its a best place to get all types of indian groceries. The quality of the produCt is good. You could find packed food as well.
The giant of Indian stores you can buy everything Indian from. They have extensive selection of fresh vegetables and Indian groceries. Only reason I deduct one star is that they push there own Swad brand more than other options. They can reduce some prices being the largest chain of Indian Grocery stores
Probably the best Indian grocery store within the CLT area. There is a huge selection of stuff. Staff is helpful. Also has a small kitchen and they fresh cook some foods for take out or onsite consumption. Large fresh foods section. Hours are good and better than the average non big box grocery stores.
