Website says its open but we drove all the way around 1 hour and arrived here, store is closed. Bunch of people are waiting outside almost an hour. I waited around 35-30 min then i had to leave. Store still close and no respond their phone. They pray somewhere for themself and don’t respect people staying 100 degrees hot outside. Please think your customers before making your pray balance. You make money from us not from your god or whatever you call

I really loved Yafa market. I came here for years, and I always found everything I needed. Especially the meat section, the butcher was very good, did good cuts, and had very good prices. The store employees are very friendly and nice. I recommend anyone who’s looking for Mediterranean food to come here.

Came in to friendly greetings when my goal was to get some meat. Waited about 5 minutes for all my meat to be done after requesting it. Their goat is very fresh and good and well cut, and their cut chicken was also very fresh. The back looks very well managed and the store itself is altogether. When i was heading out, i chose some arabic deserts and left 100% satisfied.

I love this place. Butcher is very clean. Large variety of spices! At great prices!! I wont shop anywhere else for the things I can get here.

First time i stopped by at a Halal Market, owner showed me around, and made sure i got what i was looking for. Butcher told me how to make the best shish kebab from the ground lamb he prepared for me. Great experience, glad i stopped by. They have food from all over the world.

The store is very clean and the staff is knowledgeable. The selection of middle eastern spices, teas, soda, dates/nuts etc. is great and REASONABLY priced. Halal meat is fresh cut daily on site. I’ll be back, you should check it out!

The meat quality is very good and the people are genuine, overall a great Halal market.

They sell labneh, which is the only yogurt that is not tart at all and I can eat directly out of the tub without adding any sweet stuff. I especially like the one imported from Turkey. Its so creamy and buttery. They also carry preserved lemons. I plan to use them to make Yotam Ottolenghis roast chicken recipe. Its such a blessing to have a local Middle Eastern grocer nearby.

Just dropped in to see what hazelnut spreads they had (was looking for Sarelle Turkish brand - Nutella cant even hold a candle to Sarelle). met Abdullah at the front register, mild mannered & very helpful. he showed me what they had on stock, I ended up purchasing Torku (also Turkish brand) chocolate spread. theyve got plenty of cheeses (beyaz peynir, Bulgarian feta), teas and all kinds of other goodies. Abdullah told me that the owners are Palestinian, so I was thrilled to support my brothers & sisters.

I love this place! Great variety of products, authentic and very well stocked. I received a lot of help. They greeted me when I walked in with smiles and hellos. I found everything I needed and then some. Im very happy this place exists and I am definitely going back for more very soon.

Excellent halal store and only disappointment is that I didn’t find it or start shopping here sooner!Staff is friendly and helpful!Great assortment of middle eastern offerings - everything from frozen foods, baked goods and sweet treats to olive oil, authentic tea sets and canned goods.Like being back home and shopping in the Middle East!Shop here now almost every week!

I enjoy shopping here for grape leaves to make dolmades. They have a wonderful selection of spices. I also bought Turkish Delight and some delicious sesame cookies. So many choices.

Was craving some goat stew so we popped in with family. Wasnt expecting them to have a band-saw; that was awesome. While waiting we checked out their great selection of products. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back to shop and have a meal. The goat was cut perfectly and made a delicious stew.

I went today and didnt realize I was getting overcharged by the teller immediately stopped me, apologized, and rectified the situation. He didnt have to but he did; kudos. I shall return.

Perfect meat store what i was needed. I have tried goat meat and bone in chicken from there. It was really fresh and tendered. Also they have available all type of asian spices in their store.

The best Middle Eastern Grocery store in Charlotte, in my opinion. The store is large, well-stocked, clean, and offers fresh butchered meats, prepared foods, and delicious imports. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth checking out and adding to your list of regular grocery visits.

Tried goat meat last weekend. It was very good. Tender and fresh. Rare to see such fresh meat. Butcher cut the meat as per instructions. That is nice too.

Great variety of Middle Eastern foods including spices, breads, pickled goods and teas and coffees. Good falafel stand in back; I’ve definitely had better elsewhere but it’s as good as you’ll find anywhere in Charlotte. Will return.

Update: They restocked Mechaalany pickles, they are the best brand of pickles would recommend giving them a try, specially the mixed one .-----------------------Good selection of Middle eastern, Mediterranean Armenian products, was disappointed that they stopped selling the best pickle brand I was able to find which is the Mechaalany brand specially their mixed pickles.Also they lack some brands I was able to find elsewhere in Charlotte like Tarboush, beef Zwan, target corned beef, their Kashkaval cheese is only sheep though the cow milk based is better (they now have a cow and sheep milk one that I will try) sheep is more sharp and fatty than cow cheese.I like that they carry Ara-z lavash bread, Arz Labneh, Marmarabirlik Dried Sele Black Olives and Najjar Coffee also a wide range of spices .

Have been a regular at Yafa for their excellent meat for a few years now and would recommend it to anyone. Their department store has a lot more to offer for the mediterranean and asian cuisine. Even though the competitors have sprung a meat section no one comes close to their quality consistently. Amir is excellent in delivering the choicest cuts and keeps the customers coming back for more. 🙂

Best lamb ever in my entire life, go there today!

The pricing is insane.. The meat is all white with fat all over it. 4 lbs of Goat meat actually translates to 3lb without the fat. Terrible.. Things were much better earlier. It has now gone terribly bad. I would not recommend it to a friend. Its time you start mending things.

Used to be good but has turned horrible nowadays .. stay away from this place and get your goat meat elsewhere. Overpriced, stale meat, rude attitude - dont waste your time here. They try to sell their meat and weigh the meat with all useless parts that will be thrown away afterwards. Im glad there are better halal meat stores opening in the area.

Have been buying meat from Yafa since a few years now, never had an issue, friendly staff, they don’t talk a lot but are very humble and get you want you need. Amir the person helping at meat section is very honest, does not talk a lot, but is vey patient with all the meat requests.

I am not clear about their business practice of charging customers foe weight of the meat before it was cleaned as the meat is cleaned and cut in advanced. So how is one to know what the whole chicken weighed before they cut it down to stew sized pieces. Very doubtful practice and never seen such things at other halal places before.

Please dont buy any meat from here specially goat meat . You will get a lot fat with the meat as you can see lot of white layer over the meat . I ordered lamb goat and it was the worst quality looks like the leftover meat . When I have opened the bag I have literally seen the chunks of fat yes no meat just fat . Have you ever seen who gives you pieces fat along with meat. You can have better options to buy meat rather going to this shop .
