They have some real good soft serve, shakes, banana splits, sundaes and more. I’ve had their vanilla, chocolate, and orange/vanilla swirl soft serve before. The orange/vanilla swirl is low calorie (117 cals for a small), and it comes with a generous amount - it’s also deliciously creamy and refreshing. I’ve also had their cones dipped in chocolate, and their waffle cones smell amazing (though I’ve never had one). They have a whole array of toppings, etc. and the price is affordable for what you get (they also have a kids cone if you want something smaller than their small).They’re closed during the winter months, but when they’re open it’s a popular spot, but it’s worth it. It’s a C’ville staple so definitely stop by if you want a sweet refreshing treat. Family friendly or a cute date spot.

Well first off, I love peanut Butter and they are the only Ones that have it. Plus you can add ítem. And you can have 2 flavors in 1 cone. Over all i think this is REALLY GOOD.

This is literally an ice cream place, and no workers wear masks or gloves. I went inside and literally turned around and left- I can’t even review the product because of the sheer neglect of the brand and the staff. People, COVID-19 is still a thing, and you’re interacting with cold food including touching peoples’ cones. This is a disgrace.

Definitely a favorite between Dumser’s and here. Expensive: yes unfortunately. $1 to add on sprinkles (jimmies). Make sure you ask for a plastic lid for the cups as even with 70 degrees out their ice cream melts in 2 seconds. They do not come with the plastic lids.

The orangeade smoothie wasnt great. Cheap orange juice, and ice for $5.50!! What!And the ice cream was just alright. Flavors seemed off. Peanut butter tasted chocolatey and the vanilla was weird.All in all disappointed due to the rave reviews.The employees are nice tho.

This was our first time here and we loved it. We just moved to the area a few months ago. I got a chocolate malt, hubby got a banana split, and my stepdaughter got a vanilla custard and orange sherbet swirl. All of it tasted amazing, and the lady working there was so kind.

My wife loves this place. They are a small local store that are only open certain times of the year. They dont have a large variety of different options but they are a good choice for custard if youre in Charlottesville.

Great place to escape the heat! We were welcomed by two young employees working their butts off while providing friendly service. The building is beautiful and it was fun to watch the kids enjoy ice cream and the carousel. Would recommend to anyone.

Ice cream, custard, and frozen yogurt are among my favorite things in the world. 😍 I was so excited to see that I could get plain mint custard at Kohr Brothers - no chocolate chips, no chocolate anything. Just mint. I *love* chocolate, but I find mint ice cream so refreshing, and chocolate chips sticking to my teeth really bring down the experience for me. 😆 Their custard is so incredibly smooth and creamy, exactly as it is supposed to be! I love this place!

We recently went here to get a frozen diary treat. During our visit, we were met with a short and curt young employee and also an employee that has no idea what food safety is.The first employee was just rude and had an attitude that told me that he didnt want to be there. He was quick to make our cone though and while he worked on our smoothie, my partner and I found an employee further down the line making waffle cones.This employee had no gloves, regardless of the fact he was handling prepared food. He was standing between two waffle irons and as the batter was cooking, he would scroll through his phone that was laid on the counter. When the waffles were done, he would pull them out bare handily and move them to the cone shaper. Before he would start to roll them, he would bring his fingers up to his lips and blow on them (I guess he was attempting to cool his fingers down from touching the hot iron) and then he proceeded to continue to touch the food and scroll on his phone. He must have noticed us staring in horror because he looked up and smiled at us and continued. Not once in the 10 minutes we were there did I see him wash his hands.I am not sure if this is family ran and they dont freight over this behavior, but I do. Since eating there, my partner and I have both had a chapter of food poisoning related symptoms and I believe it is from the employees lack of care when it comes to food safety.

It was fine, not great. Very limited flavors - I think less than 7 when I went - but clean and very well priced. There are other places with better selections, but if youre on a budget, this is a solid choice.

I used to go to Kohr Brothers on the Jersey shore (vacations) when I was a kid. It was always a real treat. This one was just as good for many years. Then I think they changed their formula? I dont really know for sure, but what I noticed was the ice cream suddenly wasnt as good as it used to be. I wish I knew why because it really isnt what it used to be.Their employees are always super sweet and professional. The service is still great... Its just the quality has, in my opinion, gone downhill.I dont get ice cream here any longer as it just isnt worth it in my book.

This is my absolute favourite place to get a frozen treat! They have great prices and its a cute location. Outside seating it available, and they have a little carousel for the kids.It is a little on the small side, but it gives it an outside of time kind of charm. Its absolutely lovely.

Really happy to find a Frozen Custard place here! So much better than ice cream! Friendly staff and clear and inviting seating area. Also enclosed, outdoor area if you have small children. Our dog got a free pup cup!

The prices at Kohr brothers are outrageous. $3.66 for small cone of custard ice cream. Add tax and its exactly $4. It couldnt be more than 3 or 4 ounces of ice cream for that outrageous price. Also I love Frozen Custard and theres is okay but Ive had much better.

Took the family to Kohr Brothers for the first time. They had 4 flavors when we visited, which is less than normal from what it looked it. The frozen custard wasnt as rich and thick as I like, it was a bit more fluffy and airy. We did like the variety of waffle cones available (my favorite was chocolate dipped with nuts.) While there is plenty of parking spaces (no one was there but us), the shopping center is really cramped and traffic gets heavy at that intersection. Also, the floor of Kohr Brothers was quite dirty.

Great tasting custard. Rude service. I had to ask for whip cream and a cherry on my Sunday, to which I got the response “oh you want that?” Didn’t help that the employees were fighting with mops when we walked in and then sniggered at us from behind the counter.

Im not big on the whole swirl ice cream thing but when I went I noticed they had peanut butter ice cream. Not peanut butter cup, not reeses, granted you can swirl with chocolate but just peanut butter. I have never found any ice cream that is just peanut butter, let alone one that compares to this. This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Definitely worth a try if you like peanut butter.

It was okay, the inside decor was lacking. Ice cream was pretty good.

Had vanilla and orange sherbert mixed together and the icecream tasted grainy to me, my son said it was probably just ice particles but i didnt like the texture of it. Tastes different than the store at va. Beach

Everytime Ive come, 3 times over past 6 months, the orange ice cream has been out of service. Dont offer a flavor if its always out of order.

Slow service with only a few customers in line. Good treat when youre in the mood for it.
