Convenient location, easy acces via phone app. Only suggestion is for them to put a better sign up off of main road...drove around it twice before I finally figured out where to turn in!

I wouldnt recommend renting space at Pubic Storage unless you are prepared to spend 47% more than the original price in 1 years time. My 5 x 10 storage unit started at $66 then went up to $75 after 6 months then up to $97 at 1 year of renting space there.This is a Countrywide issue as I have also rented space in another state with price increases every 6 month.Suggest you go to a local company instead of Public Storage who DIS their loyal customers.

She was quite personable when meeting her in the office; she always had her mask on; she also conscientiously asked another customer to remain outside of the office for social distancing purposes. Overall, efficiently, friendly, and knowledgeable. Youd be kind to yourself renting a unit here!

I had a good experience at this facility overall. As others have mentioned, Felicia the property manager does a great job and she made my move-out go smoothly. She is reasonable to deal with and will go above and beyond to help out of state customers like myself.

Worked well for our storage needs and kept our belongings safe. We had a bit of a misunderstanding with the checkout process but they were able to clear everything up.

Felicia, the property manager here, is awesome! My move in and out processes were incredibly smooth, and Felicia was able to answer all of my questions. She checked in to be sure I was doing okay, and she even contacted corporate for me to address a billing problem. I have nothing negative to say!

Great experience.Pros:1. Locks: the only rule here is you have to have one, any one. Get one on Amazon for like 6 bucks and youre good. They have daily lock checks to make sure its there and actually locked. Smartstop storage requires you have a cylinder lock because theyre safer and charges $20 for one and doesnt tell you till the end (you cant find one on Cville)2.Their one secret is the $1 first month includes a $25 startup, pretty good price for one month though. There is no requirement that you stay a second month. I needed mine for two weeks and when I moved out there was no BS.3. Renters insurance: if you have your own you dont have to have theirs. I found mine for 4/month on lemonade They dont automatically charge you upfront for theirs and refund it when we confirm your policy you have 2 weeks to to send them yours before they enroll you in theirs.4. Theyre QUICK I got in and out in 20 minutes. They arent trying to break you down so they can dump gotcha fees at the end5. Units (mine) dont flood when it rains.Cons:1.only have 5x10 and bigger which means youre paying 71 a month atfter the first minimum2. Only open till 9pm

I previously wrote that I was very unhappy with my experience at Public Storage because they no longer pro-rated the monthly fee. HOWEVER, they reached out to me to make it right which is excellent customer service! I would highly recommend this facility and company because they listen to their customers.

Staff is awful, unprofessional and only speaks to you on speakerphone, provides inaccurate information resulting in me driving 4.5 hours to the storage unit to rectify my account only to find no one available UNLIKE what I was told by the staff. Absolutely furious and completely wasted trip now to have no choice but to drive 4.5 hours back with none of the items in my storage locker as discussed.

My friend was looking for a unit at the last minute and my came up here today. We walked in at the same time as someone else who needed a unit as well. The young lady with the dreadlocks janae asked my friend and the other customer who walked in what we were storing, took us all out to the unit and showed us The sizes she thought would work. My friend and the other customers went with the unit that would work for them and she brought us back and told us everything we needed to know. Rates and when payment had to be made by. She was very informative and killed two birds with one stone helping us. Lots of hidden fees. Price advertised online makes Public Storage stand out as cheaper than its competitors and the first month for $1 hook adds an extra draw- but after paying the sign-ups fee and buying their required official lock for $17, first months rent costs about as much as the normal monthly fee. Then, they sucker you into adding an insurance policy, saying its mandatory when you try to pass it up. Rushed thru the paperwork, I got a chance to look it over after leaving the office with my key. The first sentence in the insurance section informs me, that was a lie- insurance is NOT required. The policy can be easily canceled from your online account, however. Money rackets aside, however, the unite is adequate- larger than I expected. The image is of the 5x10 unit.
