Great selection of products, and there was even an attendant on the floor that was a huge help to me, my issue was at check out. My cashier asked me if I wanted to sign up for an Ulta MC card, because I’d get double the points and 20% of my purchase I was making. I signed up because as someone whose been a member of Ulta Rewards and has shopped there for years now, I thought it was a solid move. Now on a Saturday at 3pm, I didn’t expect the bank to be available, but she didn’t said I get the 20% and double points for signing up at that moment. So obviously, the bank isn’t open to respond but I didn’t get either perk I was guaranteed upon signing up. Neither employee that was handling the computer so much as offered a 20% off coupon to make up for their lack of communication with the exact stipulations. I’ve been a customer for quite some time, and they’d know since I gave my phone number upon the start of checking out, and I was incredibly disappointed by the lack of salesmanship and customer service. I will be cancelling the card, taking the few points hit on my credit that will be fine, and give my business to another company. Poor salesmanship matters, not taking care of your customers matters, poorly done job on both the cashier and sales manager present.

I go into Ulta quite often, and I just say- this evening was one of the best experiences I’ve had there. The Associate, KATIE was more than helpful and professional! She was able to answer every question I had and was extremely knowledgeable on each item I asked about, and each item I was interested in trying for the first time. By far, the best customer service I’ve had at Ulta, and I always enjoy my shopping trips here!😊

Completely disgusted with how my wife was treated at this store by the so called “general manager” named Krista. My wife went in for a simple return and this lady treated her very poorly. She would only give a portion of the money back and refused to acknowledge that she was looking at the complete wrong order. My wife showed the receipt and the amount that was billed to her bank account. Krista still refused any wrong, all while causing a scene. My wife left the store, spoke with Ulta online, and went to another Ulta; no one understood why she was given a hard time. Pretty obscene that this is how someone treats a loyal customer.

I typically enjoy shopping at Ulta, but will avoid this particular location in the future. Some of the sales associates are very snobby and when I asked for help finding a product, I was not offered any assistance in actually finding it. Ill stick to the Suffolk location or Sephora in the future.

Terrible, terrible, terrible store! I am so disgusted with Ulta and the way their general manager Krista treated me while going in for a return. She is completely incompetent. Ulta how is this person a manager and she can’t process a simple return?! What’s happening to your business? Horrible person and horrible customer service. Will never go back there again.The response from Ulta is fake. I’ve left 4 incident reports with Ulta to call me back regarding this woman and they never did. Shame on you Ulta. Your employee harassed and belittled me and no one will return my calls.

Visited the store this past Holiday. The associate working in the fragrance area never acknowledged me the entire time I browsed the department. I was looking for a particular brand the Web lead me to believe was carried there. She only aided another person because they solicited her attention. She should not be in sales. In these perilous times where few are out and about spending money inside venues/ establishments a simple acknowledgement goes a long way. I will not return to this store again. Dillards served the purpose. I should have saved my time and went there first but lesson learned, for ME.

I am the newest fan. I was able to look for my items online and given a choice to either pick up those items in store or curbside. I chose to go to the store and as always the staff was friendly and helpful.

Every time I go to Ulta in greenbrier all the ladies are so friendly and helpful whether I have makeup on or not. Today there was a lady busy doing pickup orders (I think) I asked her the correct recommendation on a shade color going from one brand to the other and I’m so glad I did because her suggestion was spot on. Great job! 🙂 Oh! And I appreciate them only letting in customers with a mask. Thank you!!!

The MAC girls deserve to be acknowledged for their customer service because they exceed my expectations every time (which are really high) so if you ever feel intimidated to ask them anything DON’T BE! The people here are super helpful! I never really learned to wear more than just super basic makeup. They helped me figure out what I needed, and showed me how to wear foundation, powder, and blush correctly. Their prices are pretty comparable, and their selection was amazing! I like the Clairol and Urban Decay stuff for my skin, and the natural hair products they carried.

Went today and the salon manager Melissa will now be my go to girl! she was very thorough in my consultation finding out my expectations and explaining what was realistic. Bubbly personality and so easy to talk to, made the 4 hours I was in the chair breeze by!

Store clean and organized. One employee (Young lady with blue hair at the ends) was helpful and welcoming. Otherwise, if you need help, look for employees congregating at the back of the store or wait in line at the cashier to ask a question. For inexpensive store brands, I suppose this would be your place. For my prestige cosmetic and hair care purchases, Ill pay the same price elsewhere for good customer service.

I went to them before the pandemic. And I was impressed by their service and their support for me when trying to make my mind up. And for fast service with a smile 😃

Thank you Chesapeake VA Ulta for a horrible shopping experience. I rarely need help but today I needed help with matching a foundation. The store had a few employees and customer, I waited and walked around looking for someone for 20 minutes. When no one was found I asked a lady working in benefit cosmetics ( she was an Ulta employee) if she could call someone to help me. I did NOT ask her to stop what she was doing to help me. Her response was ( I am with a customer) she then turned her back to me, I said I see that I’m just trying to see if you can call someone to help me and she refused, and ignored me. I asked to speak to the manager and expressed my concerns, she listened and helped me, but also made excuses for the employee. This is why I will now shop at Sephora, the prices are sane, better service. I have NEVER had such a horrible experience, the girl who I spoke to in the Benefit section has no business working with customers. Adios Ulta!

Ive been coming here for YEARS. I just LOVE this store. I LOVE the points system for being rewarded for purchases but aside from that they have EXCELLENT customer service & will go out of their way to help you find what your looking for they are def knowledgeable in everything beauty!

Great shop for Youth and Young Adults

I went to get an ombré at the salon and completely got a hack job. The hair stylist was very nice but did not listen to what I wanted. It went from brown to VERY white. I was devastated. When I showed her a picture of what I wanted she said it was a miss communication. Would not recommend for hair coloring. I have to now cut a lot of my hair off to get rid of the over processed hair

I love every experience at ulta. I recently started getting my hair cut and styled there and I did a color today. Victoria was my stylist and do an amazing job! Im super happy with it and I will definitely go back for my future hair needs, especially to her! My before and after!

This really should be a one star review, but Im giving it two because the store was clean and well stocked.However... the customer service was terrible.I was not offered help, but instead had to approach a group of staff gossiping amongst themselves to ask for help.My biggest issue was that I was looking for non-oil based products and staff had no idea what products to recommend. I was incredibly annoyed that they kept telling me that its not a big deal... and recommending me oil based products they used - even though I explained my past skin issues and my dermatologists recommendations.After all of that, when I arrived home and used the products myself, the products I bought did not match my skin tone at all, which the staff had picked the product shades and matched them to me when I was in the store.So disappointing. I wont be back.

I was able to try as many makeup as possible until I found the perfect one! It was nice finally getting makeup that fits me perfectly. My friend also got herself something. That makeup is something else.

I just left this location which is the main location I go to and always love it, but SHELBY Was my cashier this time and she was so sweet and so helpful and I just wanted her to be recognized. So positive and so sweet, loved her!

I LOVE Ulta but was very very very upset with the staffing. The ladies that hang around the store where in a group chatting about how they curl their hair when I walked up to them to ask if they had this foundation in a certain color. When they finally acknowledged me the girl rolled her eyes and said they may have it in the draw but she didn’t think so. We walked over to where it may be and she had to yell across the store for another girl to give her the key as she proceeded to act VERY annoyed. She checked and it wasn’t in there so I said thank you for checking and she just walked away without even asking if she could help with something else. Needless to say I’d rather shop online then go to that store ever again.

You can try before you buy, which is super useful when you want A Quality Product buuuuut you’re not yet sure if you’re ready to spend $30 on a new red lipstick. Let me tell you, too, that this Ulta (probably every location) now sells British brand Colourpop cosmetics, and this stuff is The Absolute Best. Inexpensive, awesome pigment payoff, palpable quality, and their stuff all smells AMAZING. In the hat photo I’m wearing Nyx brow pencil in “neutral brown,” Physicians Formula roll-on dewy highlighter stick, and Colourpop “just a tint” lip crayon in red.

I used to work at an Ulta in California, so I know they have higher standards than what is displayed here. The girls at this location are sooo lazy. They rarely greet/interact with people, they dont give you your gift with purchase (even if you ask nicely), and they wouldnt even sign my mom up for her own rewards membership. Mind you, theyre (supposed to be) encouraged to sign every customer up! Took the joy out of my once favorite store. I will update my review and call in when I remember names. I just know that one of the rudest girls is bald and always wears dark lipstick.

My favorite Ulta! You must make an appointment for the Benefit Brow bar because it’s stays busy. I love the layout of the store. I wish more attendants were around to ask questions about makeup . If you want makeup advice go on a day the vendor is there or a weekday

Loved Ulta BUT theyre not as loyal to you as you are to them as of late. They lowered my credit limit on my credit card for no apparent reason which is making me believe they may be headed towards a bit of trouble because I pay them off EVERY month faithfully. I dont know what thats all about AND theyve seemed to have raised their prices, so Ive been forced to have to do price comparison and thus more shopping lately on Ebay. That said, its costed you an entire star Ulta!

Good experience. Big selection of makup, hair care, styling tools, and even bath supplies. Lots of testers to make sure you get the right color! There were people all around to help if needed.

The employees here are not helpful or friendly at this location. In fact, i tried to escape them buy doing the buy online and pick up in store .. simple right ? Not at all . I gave the employee my actual drivers license and she still gave me someone else’s order ! I called the store to let them now and they kept me on hold for 5 minutes just to tell me they have my order at the store . Well i know that much since i have someone else’s order and i don’t have confirmation in my email on picking it up ! Now I’m having to make another trip to the store to get What I ORDERED originally .smh .

Customer service is pitiful. Store opened at 11:00 and I finally walked out at 11:15 after asking twice for a consultant. The girl told me shed called someone but they never showed up.

First of all I turly to love Ulta Beauty BUT this store is my least favorite. The customer service was truly terrible!😞 it made me sooo upset that no one in the entire store greeted, smiled or said anything at all. Im very disappointed and I dont think Ill be going back and I wouldnt waist my money here😣

After my third time, visiting this location I have to say, I wasn’t very pleased with the customer service. My last experience shopping (Saturday 10/23/17), I walked in and no one spoke. I even smiled and spoke to one of the associates and he looked directly at me and said nothing (he was doing his makeup, so I guess that was more important). There was one Associate (didn’t catch her name) that was super sweet and helped me pick the eyeshadow colors I came in for. The cashier had no idea what there Beauty steals were so it was just a disaster all around. I won’t be shopping at this location again.

I’ve been twice, and both times the products were miss labeled so as not to scan. Both times the employee on the register had no idea what to do. The first time, after 8 minutes, calling over two other staff members and finally ringing it up; she forgot to put one of the two items in my bag. I know math can be hard sometimes. The second time, the gentleman told me, “You’re gonna have to walk me to where you got this to get a price.” I’m sorry, I don’t get a paycheck from your store. Staff should know where their own merchandise is or at the very least resolve issues without causing additional work for the person spending money. That’s their job after all. Sadly, unhelpful staff is usually a product of poor management, so I don’t expect it to get better any time soon.

This ulta sucks. Not only did they remove some products from their shelves but today when I went in for a return they thought it was a good idea to have a new girl at the register alone. The manger or lead or whatever what rearranging bottles of shampoo while there is more than 5 people in line. Next I needed a return confirmation and instead of stopping what she was doing she decided to take 3 customers all while Im waiting for her to just sign in. Dont bother here. Take your money to sephora or online so you dont have to deal with their incompetent employees.Previous trip:My trip to ulta today was amazing. I had my hair done by Victoria in the hair salon. I came with a picture in hand of what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. The carmel honey balayage looks and feels amazing. She took her time trying to achieve what I wanted and she sure met that. So if you need anything done to your hair shes definitely your girl!

Absolute terrible customer service. They decided to close early today at 5, when they usually don’t close till 9. When I walked up to the store to enter I saw employees laughing at me and the other customers while We tried to enter and the door was locked. Plenty of upset customers I saw walk up there and turn around.
