I truly cannot say enough good things about Jon and his shop. The attention to details, the care and respect he has for the bikes, his customers and the people he works with, the quality of products and honestly, just the humanity and professionalism is so impressive to me. I am in love with this store and have learned so much already. I wouldnt go anywhere else if you want an authentic Dutch style bike and the best customer service in the city.

If youre into utilitarian bicycles, you must stop here. The owner, Jon, is extremely knowledgeable and will do his very best to get you on the proper bike for your situation. Its not about just selling any bike, but what you need in your life.He has an area around the block to test bikes and plenty of accessories in the store. Also, if you want a bike youll never regret buying, buy a WorkCycles. All of these bikes are expensive, but in this case you are getting pure quality. Buy Dutch, they are professionals at biking.

Took my Works Cycles I bought in Amsterdam for a repair and service. Great knowledge, great service. I love the fact the owner is an enthusiast, a specialist and someone that goes beyond just installing parts from a manual. We did not replace what was not needed. This guy knows his bikes! Highly recommend!

Excellent product, outstanding service! I made the 3 hour drive from Indy to Chicago last weekend to pick up my bike of choice for safely transporting a 1.5 year old child (Workcycles FR8). It was a wonderful experience all around. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, demonstrating a deep knowledge of their products and true care for fitting the rider with the proper bike and accessories for their needs. The owner is committed to stocking the highest quality products and serving his customers well. The bikes in this shop will excite you and the service will leave you feeling like you want to give the owner a great big hug. Highly recommended. This is what a bike store should be

Ive bought 3 different bikes from Jon over the years (4 if you include the Strider). A Yuba Mundo and a Workcycles Fr8 then Kr8. Within the first week of owning the Fr8 it was stripped of its Brooks saddle and seat post. I went back to Jon to replace both and he only charged me his cost. That is the kind of service that builds loyalty. For over 7 years Ive gotten bicycles, service and accessories from his shop and its always as if Im going to visit a friend. For utilitarian, comfort and city bikes in Chicago, you cannot beat JCLind.

Took great care of me visiting from out of town. Gave me good sound advice and took time to understand my concerns and priorities. Tended well to my delivery and assembly out of state. The Dutch bicycles are the best, and there are precious few American stores where you can try one out.Highly recommended shop!

This is a special bike shop. They sell Dutch-style bikes designed for shopping or transporting small children. They are not cheap but if want to live a car-free lifestyle they are nearly indispensable. The owner, Jon, is a super nice guy and its a pleasure to do business with him.

Just took delivery (DC) on my Winther Cargoo today and couldn’t be happier. Jon was a breeze to communicate with- he was knowledgeable, flexible, and went out of his way to accommodate a long distance shipment. Yes, I had to meet the driver in the suburbs of VA due to DOT truck size issues but the hiccup turned into a positive adventure: figuring out how to get from Tyson’s Corner to Capitol. Summary: it was easier than expected and really fun. So, bottom line, no matter where you live you should consider these guys for your next cargo bike purchase!

Great place - J.C. Linds shop was recommended to me by numerous people on the internet as a great place to find a Dutch style bike. I e-mailed with some questions and got some very thorough answers that really helped to address some concerns I had. Went in and purchased a Gazelle and couldnt have been happier!

We were looking for an authentic Dutch Bike, and found Jon and his shop, determining he was our regions distributor. Jon and his staff are brilliant, patient, and full of great advice on these bikes. I am a former Cat. II-III racer (over 30 years ago), and my take on bikes is based solely on weight and angles, etc., racing components and the like. After time spent in Europe (Holland, in particular), weve learned those principles are a bit off when buying a Eurocommuter bike, and thats as it should be! Jon has all the best marquees and the best accessories, and he and his staff are the best at fitment, outfitting, and advice. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to buy my wife a Dutch style commuter bike, and Jon and staff were up to the task! They helped us select, test ride and outfit the right bike (a Work Cycles Secret Service) and even get it into the station wagon for transport without even a front wheel removal! They were so helpful and patient with such great experiential advice, I cannot compliment them enough. They helped us get the right accessories (front rack and cargo crate!), and they even talked us out of expensive accessories we thought about, but didnt really need. This is a business and a business model that we respect and admire and will continue to patronize. And, as if that werent enough, weve also found that Jon and JC Linds prices are significantly less than other resources we looked at for these same bikes. For example only: One of the few other places in the US we found that could get the bike we bought was listing it for at least $400.00 more, plus shipping costs of about $350.00 with the same fitments! So, not only do you get first class service and courtesy with JC Lind, you get the best price, too. All in all, a great company and people to deal with in a great shoppe in a great neighborhood in Chicago, and a brilliant deal with Jon! He has our endorsement for the the best Dutch bike dealer and a great merchant! Hats off to Jon and JC Lind! The kind of bike shop experience thats olde fashioned and all-too-rare these days! Wishing them long term success and prosperity! Well be back for more!!

Super well versed in the world of cargo bikes and the things that go along with them - they also have some sweet city bikes.Be prepared to be a little sticker shocked by some of the cargo bikes but, they carry the best out there - so, theres that.

I broke my chain downtown and realized that I had forgotten my chain tool at home (4 miles away). I walked my bike over and they sold me a new chain and charged me minimally for labor. They even went above and beyond what I had asked and fixed my rear fender free of charge. They seemed like an efficient and friendly place to get your bike fixed.

I recently purchased a Workcycles Gr8 from Jon, and couldt have been more pleased with my dealings with him, and his shop. Jon has several models of higher end bikes to suit almost any cycling need. JC is ahead of the curve on cargo bikes, and should certainly be on your list if you are heading towards a utility bike
