I just picked up my new fat bike this week, and someone patiently demonstrated the features and uses to me since I have never owned one. There is no better service in the Chippewa Valley.

We had a very small repair. They had very good communication with bringing it in and picking it up. Gave us some helpful reminders to help prolong the life of the bike. And to top it off, all the staff are always friendly and willing to help.

Was camping at Lake Wissota State park. I had a flat tire on my bicycle and found Spring Street Sports on Goggle. I called, asked if they could fix a flat. I was told to bring it in and they would fix while I waited. True to their word I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Great place, great service and great people. Needed a quick tube replacement on a kids bike. They got us in right away, fixed it and charged a very reasonable price. From looking around their other prices looked really competitive as well. I think the same kids bike we bought in March was $50+ cheaper here than what we paid somewhere else.

I went to buy skis and equipment, and the worker spent probably a good hour helping me get sized up, explaining the difference in products, giving advice on use, and if anything kept trying to sell me the least expensive options rather than upselling me. I appreciated the breadth of knowledge and the time spent helping me make a choice. This shop had been recommended to me by my uncle, and its clear to me why he sent me this way.

I feel they are well made bikes . That last and make biking more fun . I just purchased a new trek, Domane SL6 . We were thrilled to find a local bike shop that was knowledgeable about ‘weird’ bikes (an e-bike and a recumbent). I had a difficult to identify click in my drivetrain. Spring Street sports has consistently gone above and beyond to help meet the needs of me, their customer. Ive purchased two bikes from them, and both have been fantastic. The best part about Spring Street is that while the bikes are available just about anywhere, the customer service is not. They put you first, do everything they can to help, are incredibly patient, and bring an absolute joy to the sport because of it.I love 17 miles away and yet make the trip because of that alone.

Can’t say enough good things about these guys. I went in there after going to every other bike shop in Eau Claire because they were closed for a while because a employee had COVID. I was quite frankly exhausted dealing with rude bike shops that were not friendly and due to the current COVID stuff and the lack of bikes most places were “here is what you get and if you don’t like it the next guy will” attitude. Walking in here I spoke to Joe and things were completely different, they actually cared about me getting the right bike. It was like talking to a friend and the shop making a big pay day wasn’t even a thought to them. I’m a customer for life!

A great, locally owned business with an entire crew of guys who ride, ski, hike, camp, etc. They know their stuff. Don’t go anywhere else.

Went for xc skate boots and poles. A very well informed employee assisted me and had a great discussion on xc ski equipment and its development. Also informed me of their great kids xc upgrade program. Prices were as good as anywhere I found online. Sick bikes for dece prices too.

The customer service is something you wont find anywhere else. I stopped in to purchase a bike, and I left with more knowledge and confidence in my purchase than I ever expected. I was lucky enough to find a used bike that fit my needs perfectly. The next time I need to replace or upgrade my biking/skiing equipment, I know Ill be back.

Top notch small business. Im an outlier for sizing but the team at Spring Street Sports stopped at nothing to get me set up with rental gear for my first cross country skiing adventure. Cant say enough good things about the experience of shopping here.

This bike shop is for rich people cost $80 to fix a flat tire. Do your own maintenance unless you are the 1%. 8 hours work for a tire is BS. Also tire fell off less than 3 after less than 3 miles of riding....

Great advice and care for our bikes is consistently provided by SSS. They understand our goals, whether recreational or more serious, and offer advice accordingly. My new Trek EX8 has been a blast!

After letting me test drive a new bike, we went to the used section and found one that worked well for my needs. For added piece of mind they did a full tune up on the spot before I left.

Eric cared enough to determine what was best for me without over-prescribing parts and service I didnt need.

Eric helped me out from start to finish with picking a bike that works for me, and he was kind enough to spend a few hours with me when I picked it up, teaching me how to fix a flat tire and other basic maintenance. Dropped off my old bike, which the company no longer makes the gear shift for and they not only fixed it, but the bill was more than fair for the time they worked on it. I purchased my other bike from them. They have always bent over backwards for my questions or to let me know what I can be doing myself. They have actually shown me how to do repairs myself or offered to do them and quoted the price. Great place

Simply the best bike shop in the Chippewa Valley! I worked with the guys a few weeks ago to get an old bike back up and running and, boy, did they impress! Despite the wear and tear on it and the few that it would be better to buy new than to fix the thing up, Spring String did it and at half the estimated price. I wouldnt trust anyone else.

Stopped in looking for a skateboard for my son. They dont carry normal skateboards just long boards. The staff was friendly and even gave me suggestions on where I could find a good selection of skateboards elsewhere.

This is a great place! They recently installed new tires on my bike (for the first time in my life, I had someone do it because I was too busy). (I commute by bike 32 miles a day.) It was only $8 I think to put on a tire, which is very reasonable. But the best part is that when my back tire developed a slow leak, they fixed it almost on the spot (and found that the problem was a protruding spoke that I had replaced myself on a bike tour in 2007), and DID NOT CHARGE ME A DIME! That is great service. These guys deserve all the business you can give them.

Brought my skis in and they waxed them immediately for me to accommodate my time crunch. Great store and will return to buy some skis for my daughter.
