We recently went to Ascent to replace 5 bikes for our family. The staff was incredibly patient with our numerous questions and were careful to make sure every member of the family had a bike to meet their specific needs. Their shop is clean and tidy. The entire process from start to finish was well-organized. Additionally, they went out of their way to make sure we got all 5 bikes home safely . They even went so far as to lend us a blanket to make sure neither our truck nor the bikes were damaged on the drive home! Needless to say, the kids are thrilled with their new bikes! Overall we had a very wonderful experience and felt that all our biking needs were addressed in a friendly manner. We would highly recommend this shop!

Wow!! I am extremely impressed with the team at Ascent Cycling!! I took my sons bike over to get some much needed repairs and they went way above and beyond to help me and make sure his bike was safe! Even though they were extremely busy, they still made time for me and the technician was able to fix a poor design flaw with the bike that I did not think was possible. A friendly staff that is very knowledgeable and wants to get you set up with with a bike that fits you. So glad I decided to go and check them out. Id recommend this place to anyone looking to get a bike or looking for a new shop in general. They got me setup with a Trek 820 to get into mountain biking, and I will definitely be returning when I decide to make an upgrade.

A+ WORLD CLASS customer service and shopping experience. I had been looking for a trail bike for several months, and with the shortage, wasnt having any luck. I figured Id just get my old bike fixed, and was impressed by Ascents service shop.When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by David and a fellow employee. He took the time to listen about my bike and assured me that it was no great feat to get rolling well again. However, as I was waiting for the service assessment, a new bike caught my eye and I vocalized my interest to David and other members of the shop.Everyone there was friendly and knowledgeable, and if they didnt know the answer, they found it (instead of awkwardly making something up). While I was impressed with the shop and its staff in its entirety, Id like to give a shout out to David and Shane, for making my bike buying experience better than I could have wished for. Honestly, it was better than any time Ive bought a car or other relatively large purchase.Ascent Cycling and its team is a rare breath of fresh air, and I look forward to going there for any of my biking needs.

Great customer service. They did some work on my bike while I waited. I appreciated this because my bike is my transportation. They fitted me for a seat using a device to measure my hips. The cost for service is reasonable and they do quality work. They even gave me a couple of items for free, a reflector and a Velcro strap. I consider it worth it to pay more for the products they sell because they provide great customer service and advice - something one cannot get when purchasing products on Amazon.😃

These folks were great at helping me get my kids new bike fixed. There were problems with the gears catching after I had assembled a bike I had purchased online. They were very knowledgeable, got me in with very little wait time, performed a safety check on the bike, and had the bike fixed and running smoothly in no time. I highly recommend them for all your bike needs.

Incredibly helpful staff and great prices. I had new cranks installed on my mail order bike after I misinstalled original set. Ty had my new cranks on in no time and working well. I will definitely be back for future service and purchases.

Very disappointed with the service department & their “Pro” Tuneup. The following deficiencies were identified after 3 trips back to Ascent to correct issues with several items. Inspection showed I need a new chain, not installed but charged; brake cables replaced but rear brake pads were not recommended for replacement; rear derailleur has a bent tooth causing slipping of gears causing excess wear on shifter & rear arm; replacement of all rear components needed. All in all, a lot of money for a lot of nothing but heartache. I still have my work order & would be glad to provide.

World class customer service!! Had Ascent do a full tune on my Roadie. Came back a month later with some very, very minor shifting issues. They took the bike in without an appointment did a full diagnostics and made several adjustments and replace a derailleur mount, shifter cable and re-packed the back hub and SAME DAY! I expected to have a sizable bill due to all the additional work they had to do but was not the case. Patric and his team stood behind their initial tune up and only charged for the additional part that would have likely taken weeks to get in at the other shops in town. Customer for life!!! If you believe in the value of customer service, look no further than Ascent Cycles!

Im from out of town and brought my eMTB (a Norco, which this shop is not even a Norco dealer) in to get the diagnostic tool hooked up to it to see if there were any errors being thrown by the motor or battery. Ascent took it right back immediately and reset everything back to factory for me free of charge! They were very helpful and actually had a ton of cool bikes in stock to look at while I waited.

I went in and left with an awesome bike. The staff member assisting me was lovely. She slowed me down and insisted on seeing to the quality and appropriateness of my purchase after hearing my reasons for bike shopping. I was in good hands and I will definitely return to upgrade my sons bike. Come here, you wont regret it.

Great shop! These guys took care of me when I wanted to upgrade my MTB drivetrain to the new 12 speed Shimano XT. They didnt have all the parts I needed in stock, but worked with me to get everything I needed sourced despite the supply chain shortages currently plaguing the bike industry. Cant recommend this place enough.

These guys go out of their way to explain everything, and make things right with minor mistakes. This is the only shop I take my bikes. True professionals, highly recommend you give them a chance.

60 bucks for a shock pump 😧😕 childrens helmets 65 bucks 😧 80 for tires. Wow. I was shocked to say the least on prices.I did get a good deal on a set of gloves. Smallest selection of womens small bikes, due to covid id imagine. Might come back in. Who knows. Pricing was super gnarly.

Waited 25 minutes in 83 degrees today trying to drop of my bikes for a tune up. I knocked to see about how much longer it would take to get in and the young man didnt know or care. Talked to the owner Clay and he Doesnt ascribe to the customer always being right. I guess I knocked too long on the door when I couldnt tell if anyone could hear me or not. He acknowledged my concerns after setting me straight. No worries Ill never knock again. ---- UPDATE:---- I see the owners response to my review. Nothing is out of context. The issue wasnt waiting it was your employees attitude to me asking if he knew how much longer. I was trying to decide whether to wait or come back. You missed the whole point of my call. Your apology was after nicely telling me off. Thats not an apology. I was never rude to you or your employee. As you state here I should have planned my day better by going elsewhere. I wont bother you again.

This is the best service I have ever had before I even got to test the bike they had it completely ready for me. There is a great range of bike and they can tell exactly what bike you want with a few questions and have a annual tune up for free. Don’t go any where else this is the place to go.

Great experience, went in expecting to buy a bike and leave but they spent time explaining everything to me and even installed the carrier on my car and installed accessories on the bike so I was all ready to go. Very impressed.

Best bike shop in town imo... They know their stuff, and dont really try to sell you what you dont need. They want happy customers. Give them a break with the longer than usual wait times which are out of their control. They earned me as a customer for life the first time I walked in.

Who knew bike shops would be the hot spot during the pandemic? The guys at Ascent were super helpful and knowledgeable helping us out. When we went in the shop we were given the rundown on what bikes we probably should start on and they were luckily able to set us up with two new bikes that did not break the bank. Also, you can’t beat the free annual tune ups. Prices are fair and the guys in the back are down to earth and won’t make you feel inferior for not having any experience.Also, this goes for any bike shop in the area. Cut them some slack regarding wait times and stock availability. Believe it or not most entry level bikes are sourced from China. We all know what is going on so bear with them as they guide you through the process and expect to wait on a new bike. It is. It their fault but a shortage on stock from manufacturers.

Initially I was impressed. They had me in and out the next day for a tune up and rear derailleur cable at a reasonable price. The tech said to bring it back in and they would adjust if it the cable stretches as part of the tune up and new cable. Well it stretched, I took it back and they charged me $20 to readjust. Wait, what? I thought that was included. I tried to explain it to the kid but he wasnt listening or didnt care. I wasnt going to argue over $20 so I let it slide. I like to shop small businesses but, this is one I wont be bringing my bike back to. All they had to do was honor what was told initially. Time to find another small bike shop to go to.

They did a great job repairing my bike and were very thorough and helpful. Repair costs were reasonable. Ill definitely be going back.

All of the employees are professional and helpful. I got excellent advice on gear from Justin and he did wonders fixing my bike (it shifts now and has working brakes 10/10 need those things). He also has a really cool shop dog.

Website hours differed from google hours. I called at 5PM and asked what time they closed. They tell me 7PM, which is what the website stated for October. I show up at 6:30 and they are closed??? A sign on the door says they are moving to their new location the last two weeks of October. I go there and they are there but say they close at 6. I guess you cant trust their website or their spoken word.

I initially stopped by Village Bicycles to get some upgrades done on my son’s bike. When I got there, I realized that they were not taking any walk ins. It’s a GIANT warehouse and I couldn’t believe they implemented this policy. They could implement social distancing so easily at this location but incorporated extreme policies...it was literally two weeks to get my son’s bike tuned up. So, I decided to call around to other bike shops and found Ascent. When I got there, there were a couple of people in line outside to get in but it was moving along. I waited for about 10 minutes and when I got into the store, the “intern” helped me with choosing the right platform pedals and grips. Furthermore, he gave me a derailleur tune up right there on the spot! I dropped hundreds of dollars that day and am glad it went to this local bike shop that went over and beyond instead of a corporate bicycle shop that is completely out of touch with their policies. Village Bicycles will never see another dime from me again.

After waiting 30 minutes to get in to look at mens bike shorts, I found they were quite pricey, some were $105! When asking to use the dressing room to try them on, we were told that wasnt allowed. I then verified I would be able to return the shorts if they didnt fit and was told there are no refunds because it would be unsanitary! So, buying clothing there is a gamble! You cant try them on and cant return them? Never heard of such a policy!

I come from Fort Collins and really fell in love with my old bike shop. I have found bike shops to be extremely hit or miss. I have only been mountain biking for 3/4 weeks and these guys have been incredible. Every problem I had they would not only fix but explain to me in detail what caused the issue. When repairing my bike they answer my questions and even show me how to do what theyre doing. They have been nothing shy of patient and are not pushy with up selling. I mentioned to Justin that I would be interested in replacing my drivetrain and do it myself. Justin helped me find the parts I would need and offered to help me order them and make sure I have all the right tools when the day comes. These guys have my business as long as I live here. UPDATE : management reached out to me and issue has been resolvedI did not have the best experience this time. I understand, we are in an usual time with covid-19. It was going fine until I called to check to see if it was ready. They informed me that it was being worked on and should be ready in about 30 minutes. So I had another errand to run and the family was with me. We pull up and there is a line outside to go in because of the social distancing... That is ok. I waited in the line for 45 minutes before I could go in. The bike was not being worked on so I figured it must be done. NOPE... the tech promptly put it on the stand and starts fiddling with it. He takes it off after 30 minutes and I take it for a test ride. It will not even shift on the front derailleur. This is what I originally brought it in for. They put on a new one. They put it on the stand again and probably another 30 minutes goes by. Still no results. I understand, things happen and I inform them that I will return the next day. The next day I call and they tell me it is ready! Great! I go pick it up. I ask for my old pedals, as I had them replaced also. They cannot find them. I figure what the hell, life will go on. take it home and guess what! It still doesnt shift!

Ascent is a Great bike shop in Colorado Springs! I have been going their for a couple of years now, purchased bikes there, and had bikes worked on. Its always been a good experience. You just feel like they have your best interest in mind, and their not going to take advantage of you. I recently had a rear shock problem and a dropper post problem... in both cases they went above and beyond to take care of me!

I tried to buy a bike here today, but I couldn’t even make it into the store. When we got here, there was a line on the sidewalk to get in with no employees around. We waited for thirty minutes, with no movement in the line, before it started raining. I called the shop from my car to see if they had some kind of system in place for this or if they expected their customers to wait in the rain. The employee I spoke to told me that they expected the customers to manage the line themselves. We left and will purchase my bike from another shop. I fully understand the precautions put in place due to COVID, but this situation could be solved easily by taking customers’ cell phone numbers and texting them when it is their turn to enter the store.

I went here for part replacement that I broke when putting my bike together, and these folks went above and beyond what I expected. Answering all my newbie questions with patience and professionalism. Helping double check my work that I did putting bike together. I know in the future I be making them my first stop for my MTB stuff.

Landon was awesome. I am a beginner. Don’t know anything. I asked him to lead me by the hand and he did just that. Explaining to me step by step about why this or that. Definitely felt like a valued customer. I will be going back there for any biking needs. It’s not always about saving that 20, 40, or even 100 dollars. Just knowing you got a good product for a good price is worth its weight in gold in the long run. Remember, you get what you pay for. And sometimes a lot less. These guys helped me get on a new Rocky Mountain in no time at all. Even with having to order specific spec bike, their service was super speedy and friendly and I was on my dream bike in less than a week. I would recommend riders of all levels visit Ascent for their cycling needs!

I would highly recommend this business. I took my bike in for adjustment to my front and back derailers. He worked on them for a good time and even rode the bike. He was honest with me about the type of system the bike had and said I could pour money into it but it may only get 10% better. He did not charge me even for his time. If I am in the market for a new bike or any bike work I will definitely go back to this business.

First time in the shop today. Fast friendly turn around on repair. Great looking shop and selection.

Horribly slow service. I was the 3rd person in-line and had to wait 35 minutes, okay I chose to wait, that’s on me. When I finally got in the store and got what I needed, which took 60 seconds the child at the cash register refused to check me out without creating an “account” for me in their “system”. I politely declined to be added to their system, but he insisted. When I provided the kid with a fictitious name he still refused to check me out. Needless to say I walked out and won’t be going back. Next time I am going to Criterium Bicycles. The only reason I didn’t go to Criterium is because they are closed on Wednesdays. I wish Ascent Cycling the best of luck, bless their hearts.

Best experience Ive had shopping for a full suspension bike. Went in the other day and met with Patrick while shopping for a full suspension bike. Ive been to local stores like Performance, Bicycle Village, and Criterion previously. While those were experiences werent bad, Patrick set a new bar for professionalism and patience. He walked me through the full suspension frames and components, which components were better for specific riding style, demonstrated basic maintenance for shocks, and answered all my fundamental questions without hesitation and added data points that I hadnt considered. While Im still shopping, its only because of the sheer expense and not the store. Ascent is definitely my pick and Ill go back when I decide on the right bike.

I went to Accent Cycling on a friends recommendation, and was not disappointed. I was greeted right away, the staff looked over my bike and even fixed a few things, made some do-it-yourself maintenance, and asked a series of good questions. They had me in and out quickly with what I need.Personally, I will be back.

I called them on the phone and asked if they could work on my conversion ebike they said yes i drove 30 minutes there waited outside in a line for 15 minutes only to be told no that they dont work on converted ebikes. what a waste of my time!!!!!!!!!!!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! cant even answer a question correctly on the phone. I was so looking foward to buy some accessories from them and i was planning on spending A LOT OF MONEY!!! i will never ever shop there again. good job with all thats going on losing what could of been a very faithful customer im sure ur sales have been horrible since the shutdown!!

The prices are right in line with everyone else and combined with the great service, its truly a great value. The reviewer who complained about the prices must be comparing it to much lower-end big box stores.

I found these guys online because of all the awesome reviews. After visiting them in person, the reviews were spot on. These guys were phenomenal! My back tire had a bulge in it and Doug took the time to troubleshoot until he found the issue. He was patient and knowledgeable; and he took the time to teach me things about my bike as well.
