The staff were all professional yet warm and relaxed. They were all courteous and helpful. They got me in for an appointment quickly and there was very little wait when I arrived. Dr. Langr is excellent. He was direct and honest, very knowledgeable as well as friendly and reassuring. Vanessa and the other staff were also very accommodating and even gave me a confidence boost by letting me model several pairs of frames, giving me their opinions, and making me feel like I still look somewhat cute. It was my first exam and i ended up needing glasses. A bit of a hit to my pride and a bit unnerving. They helped me make the best of the whole experienceπŸ˜€

I have never written a review before but the way this place fools people made me write a review.- They will give a price but it will be useless if you dont add other $300+ options-I have added scratch resistance than when it got scratched they say you have to pay a copay to fix it!-You add the blue-ray preventing lenses but you cant wear them at night and this portion was not explanted by the salesperson.- I paid $300 for mine but when I got it I told them Im not satisfied they did not even care they asked me to pay more if I need to have usable glasses.

Had a great experience along with excellent customer service when I called with questions about insurance and swotching from ABBA eye care. The day of my appointment was pleasant upon arrival. During this epidemic I wasn’t sure what to expect but staff was helpful and nice. Dr. Was also very good although his perception of how i deal with back surgery and chronic pain was a bit invasive because his beliefs on medication and surgeries are more mind over matter, so, I felt a little uncomfortable with topic. But he did a wonderful job with my eyes. My glasses are so much better on my eyes now, no more squinting. This is my first pair with bifocals so I was worried about being able to focus down and up without getting nauseous but got them today and they are lined just perfect. Ty, for the help and making it easy to track the progress all the way to delivery. Will be back.

I am a 74 year old man who has not had to use glasses in the past. Because of this, it was all new for me. My wife and I went into this store and were treated by Melissa with the best in a professionalism manner as well as making the experience very personable.I had number of pretty basic questions and she answered them without making me feel foolish. Kudos to her and Dr. Kyle Langr for making this a pleasurable experience.People are quick to complain when things arent right, but are reluctant to give thanks for good customer service. These folks deserve it.

Dr who did the eye exam was great...however as soon as it was time to buy glasses it became an awful experience! The lady would not let me see any actual pricing lists...she wrote everything out. It was like a car deal πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ she quoted me 429 dollars for 1 pair of glasses (the frame was only 69 dollars). Absolutely not! I commented on the expensive price and she simply said I dont have a response to that. O ordered online that night...2 pairs of glasses with completely upgraded lenses...$130. Dont give these crooks your money!!

After getting an appt at my eye doctors office with nothing open until November 2021 I wanted to make sure The pressure in my eyes were still be controlled by my meds and the new meds I have been put on have not affected my sight.Once we were at the appointment they were absolutely the best. They reassured us that we came to the right place and that they would send this info on to our eye doctors office.The staff was so calm and knowledgeable the tests were done with ease and confidence just as if I was at my doctors office.I would recommend this store to all my family and friends.

So far Ive had a good experience. I went in they let me pick from all my different glasses choices no rush. Eye doctor was friendly and did a good job and was patient. Vanessa helped me with the rest and she was very nice.So far I have no complaints at allI will be getting my glasses in next two weeks and I will update if I have issues etc.So I got my glasses and I actually love them..My only problem is I had to set up an appointment to get them adjusted so that I can wear them right. They were sent to my house because of the coronavirus situation.

My child had gotten pretty worked up about getting her eyes dilated and the dr let her skip that step and worked with her to get an improved perscription. I give them a zero if I could they rude from the very beginning. We were coming in two cars. And we were running late and but got there at 3,09 pm and 3,10 yes we were 10min running late but two back to back appt .with two eye dilation . we all know we got wait 15min to 30mins on that. BUt they just plan rude and we left and went to another vision works . NOT only did they mess up my granddaughters prescription for her eyes the doctor even put his finger in her eye. Never go to North Academy store go to Bloomington store awesome service and the doctor rechecked for free my grand daughters eyes

The Drs are great but the scheduling is a nightmare. They have so many appointments scheduled that they are always running late. And the techs never have time to properly explain things to you because the appointments are too short and close together. They ask you to clarify personal medical information in full waiting rooms, no privacy. Terrible service caused by not enough time.

My daughter and I went in for our exam and contacts. The optometrist was very approachable, professional and knowledgeable. She was pretty amazing actually and was very patient in answering my questions about my eye health. It was our best experience by far! Also, the front office staff were all very helpful with helping me and my daughter pick out our glasses and helping my daughter learn how to use and care for her brand new contact lenses. The staff were very patient with us and helped us make the right decision for our family when we had questions about our vision insurance. Im grateful for this place and I hope they keep up the excellent customer service for our family. We will definitely come back again next year.

I had come in a little early for my appointment and let them know I was there and they got me right in! They explained everything while they were doing the different test which was nice and got me all ready for the doctor.When the doctor came in he went over any questions I had and answered them which is nice because some doctors do not take the time to do this for you.He explained my changes from my last script and went answered my questions about wanting to go into contacts.When I was finished I went to talk about my insurance so i could figure out which was the best option for me and any question I had they took the time to look it up and make sure I get the most out of my benefits, which is great because some scripts are very expensive.They let me look all through their glasses and I did have them all out of place as I lined them up on the maybes to pick the final one.They also help me go through them and eliminate the ones that did not look right for me and which fit was better.Having patience for me the whole time and picking eyewear and trusting someone with that task is hard for meSome would call me difficult. :)After I picked my glasses and expressed my wants for contacts, they went through and with my insurance found the best way for me to get both with the least out of pocket expense.This store truly is all about customer service and I appreciate them very much and see now why their rating are so high.I walked through 3 other places and went even greeted and their prices were very high. The prices here were also reasonable and the quality stood out.Thanks guys for all your help!!!

Ive been bringing 4 teens here for 2 years. Usually very efficient. The last two visits (February) and today were horrible. The checkin for an eye appointment was super slow. There were 2 staff helping other customers with glasses fitting and trying out glasses. After 30 minutes past my appointment they took us back. We waited another 5. The lady doing the eye machine (to avoid dilation) was impatient with my teen. First time he was there and first time using the machine. I think she was supposed to go on lunch break. Eye Dr was super helpful and efficient. Next was contact fitting for the first time. Lady that helped with contact fitting showed how to do that with her own contacts but then showed extreme pain/discomfort putting hers in! She even paused in pain. Said her eyes were extremely dry. I wondered if I should have gotten her help. It was very odd. Mind you, this is showing a teen for the first time how to do this! Then when it came to pay, I had to wait 20 minutes as staff was fitting people for glasses. They told me theyd get to me right after. I finally asked if I could leave my number and they could call me for payment. She said no and they were understaffed - I heard that said to me and others in the store at least 6 times in the 1.5 hrs I was there. She got flustered, took me to a desk and started the payment process. She then paused and declared across the room to 2 others that she was sorry they were ahead of me but I couldnt wait in line. I was shocked. I didnt know others were ahead. All I needed to do was pay! I was embarrassed but thought well this shouldnt be long - swipe the card and go. But my info wasnt in the system that I had provided when making the appointment 2 weeks ago so we had to re-entry all that - another 10 minutes. She concluded telling me they were understaffed. I said they need to tell management. She said it was a chain... The entire time I kept hearing how understaffed they were. They actually made me feel bad for them but geez, this is a business. Really? Needless to say after taking 4 teens there over 2 years, Im done. Im finding another place to go.

In general, our family loves visionworks! Most of the staff at this location are super and have the utmost respect for their patients! Unfortunately their fax machine didnt work (it happens) so have been unable to receive the warranty information to help us. Im understanding, but Melissa, the manager on duty, has been more interested in socializing with the patients she was helping. Her responses to the staff were short and rude, and it was quite a hassle for her to help :( All other staff have gone above and beyond to brainstorm.

I was on a motorcycle ride and somehow got something in my eye. It became so uncomfortable I had to pull off and find the nearest doctor. Vision works in Colorado Springs was the closest to where I was at. I went in and asked if someone could just look at my eye to make sure there was nothing stuck in it. The gentleman at the front said they were booked but would squeeze me in since it was an emergency. I was so grateful! When the doctor came in the room he was obviously not happy. I tried to crack some jokes despite being in pain and he wouldn’t even look at me. I was in obvious discomfort and my eye was non stop watering. He informed me that I had scratched my eye and I tried to ask if I should be concerned. He finally basically told me that all he does is contacts and glasses not this kind of stuff and I should have gone elsewhere. I have never been treated so poorly. Honestly I was embarrassed for him because he obviously is not a happy man. I am however so grateful that he took fifteen minutes out of his day and $70 of my dollars to help someone who really needed it. I do not know his name but I absolutely do not recommend him.

The staff and optometrist, Dr. Megan Kirchner were very friendly. Dr. Kirchner took the time to educate me on my eye health. Jason the Optician took the time to help me pick out frames and was very detailed when he informed me of all of the different lens options available to me. He also took the time to give me quotes on different frame & lens selections available to me to help me get the best deal. I had an overall great experience at Visionworks. They were also able to get me seen for a last minute appt. that I called in and scheduled that day. I highly recommend the Northern Colorado Springs location.

Premature Insurance ClaimI had a scheduled appointment for today Feb 23rd. I recieved a call 2.5 hours before my appointment saying that the doctor did not come in today and they needed to cancel my appointment. I then let them know that I could not reschedule with their office. The receptionist then told me they would contact my insurance and get me a refund. I never gave them permission to charge my Insurance for anything. Especially when the doctor did not show up. And, not even a thank you from the receptionist but a hang up.

The technician who administered the initial tests (sorry I dont remember her name) was also very patient. Extra effort impressed a customer at Visionworks in Colorado Springs.On the chance that two pairs of glasses might be available before the promised date, I called and was told that the glasses were in, but that they would not be ready for delivery for a few more days. Desperately needing the glasses prior to a long road trip the next day, I pled my case with Marie, who suggested that I call back around 4:00 p.m. I did, the glasses were ready, Samantha did the final fitting, and I was on my way.I have used the glasses for more than a week, and have found them to be perfect. The frames fit, and the area of sharpest focus is precisely where I wanted it. These, too, are to Samantha’s credit; she helped me select the frames and made sure to specify the focal area. Also deserving of praise is the technician who expedited the final adjustments to make the glasses deliverable.This experience was far superior to that with a previous provider in Springs, to whom I had to return several times, only to have the fit and focus be marginal at best.Customers do not like β€œcannot” because it usually means β€œwill not.” Visionworks personnel recognized a unique situation, met the need, and created a loyal customer.

Would never recommend this store or perhaps the company. Purchased a pair of progressive, transition lenses for over $500. The sales representative was new and I must take this into consideration; however, after 4 months of going back into their store on numerous occasions, calling to discuss my concerns that the glasses were not working, and being told that I just needed to give them more time to adjust - I am now told that I cant return them! Its past the 30 day return period. Seems strange since they advertise a money back guarantee: Yes – through our Love What You See Guarantee. If you are dissatisfied in any way with a complete pair of glasses purchase, it may be returned to Visionworks within 100 days of original purchase date. Guess this is some other Visionworks??!! Very unhappy with the level of customer service I have received today with Amanda when I tried placing my order over the phone today. For starters I went yesterday to 11/12 to get an eye exam and try out some color contacts everything went great at the location. I called today after picking out a color contact I liked and Amanda told me she would call me back with the price of the prescription after she put everything together which is weird, at Visionworks you just have to go into the database and see how much insurance covers and then look how much the boxes are and see how much insurance will cover it does not take over an hour to do so.. It was almost an hour and she didnt call me so I had to call back the store. Immediately when she picked up the phone she said it was $38.00 not even a hello or anything. She then asked me for my card number and didnt even run it and said it will be about a week without running my card. I know this because she put me on hold for 10 minutes while running my card she came back and told me it was declined. I had to give her my entire card number again because she didnt get it correctly the first time and said it went through and it will be a week. She also didnt have any means to give me a receipt through email for the transaction or any other way. I then asked for her general manager and she said he was not in 11/13/18. Amanda was very disrespectful and has made me reconsider choosing eyewear and contacts from Visionworks in the future, I will look else where. I choose Visionworks for the quality of service but Walmart would be a better place of business than the service I received today from Amanda.

The best eye doctor in the springs. Do not waste your time with ABBA EYE CARE have bought two pairs of glasses there and had to get them redone twice, and had to sit and wait 45 min both times for my appointment. Here’s the deal, I have been a client for well over a decade and have recently moved out of state and have come back to Colorado for a graduation. We have an emergency with a torn contact (it came that way out of the carton) and would like to buy a trial pair as we have 6 months at home and don’t want to order more because her vision changes so often. They refused to because I wouldn’t buy 6 months worth of contacts. Let me explain, myself, my husband, and my daughter have used them exclusively for years and years, I have used them the longest. To not accommodate a loyal client with a pair of contacts that literally cost them $5, if not less, shows a total lack of ethics and customer service. And not only that, they are super expensive. I paid those prices because I was loyal. I don’t even have insurance to help me with the cost. This is unacceptable. I am pretty sure if I would have led with the fact we hadn’t moved and would still be their customer, they would have said yes. I will never ever go to another Visionworks, in any state.UPDATE: I was contacted by corporate immediately and was verbally contacted the following day. They were very proactive in straightening out my issue. Here’s the thing, like I said, I had been going to this Visionworks for over a decade and a half. The service had always been excellent and the doctors wonderful. Some were better than any optometrist I had ever seen. It was a very disheartening thing to hear I could not get their help when we had an emergency. I had even been going to them when I moved away and had to drive an hour out of the mountains just for our appointments, glasses and contacts. I really do appreciate that this situation was taken seriously and that they put their client’s concerns in the forefront. It made my daughters trip a lot more enjoyable.

Sadly, it is noticeable that there is some drama between employees and it does not appear to be a great place to work, (possibly due to poor management leadership?). Ridiculous! Maybe they just did not like my easy going laughable nature. Had 6 days to ship before my vacation. I Got a call on Saturday, i reaffirmed that they were to be mailed to my residence . Called back 5 days later and glasses were still waiting at the shop to be picked up. The Gentleman assured my they should have been shipped, with out a call, the week prior. Now Im on the road and need to take my contacts out, however no glasses coupled with very bad eye sight. Thanks guys! glad I paid for this crap.

I have to praise Mel at Visionworks on North Academy. I called Saturday before last to get an emergency eye exam because my husband broke my glasses the night before and I dont have my prescription anymore. They got me in that afternoon. The lenses I ordered would not be in for 5-7 days, however that Monday I was set to move to michigan. Mel put basic lenses in for me to pick up on Monday for our drive free of charge and sent my lenses to another visionworks out of state for me to pick up and they would put them in my glasses for me! Above and beyond! I even saved $ because they had a buy one get one deal on frames (: 5 stars!

Lies and manipulation with the inability to cover a warranty. I paid a very large amount for my glasses, including a one year full coverage warranty. When my glasses, with all the lens bells and whistles possible, got ruined, I proceeded to call Vision Works about my warranty. They told me once the lenses came in it would be no more than an hour I would have to wait for the installation of the new ones. They also told me to come in at my leisure to order the replacements before the end of my warranty. I went in right away and they informed me that they could not replace my lenses with the same product because it was on backorder indefinitely and they wouldnt even put me on a list. I had to settle for lenses that were easily half the price of the ones I had paid for a full warranty on, because they did not have a quality product equal to the value I had spent. They offered no compensation or extended warranty for my troubles and told me they would call me when they were in. When I went in for install and trade out for the new lenses they told me they understood my time constraints and then still took 30 minutes over the promised 1 hour and the product is nowhere near the quality of vision I am used to from the original expensive lenses.

They SAY they are In Network and they even ACT like they are In Network with VSP but in fact they are not. If youre on VSP insurance go staight to the VSP website, spare yourself all this baloney and save another 50% on glasses with a true VSP provider (not an out-of-network biller), of which there are many in-town...
