The office is very welcoming. The staff is attentive. I tried on so many different pairs of glasses and they were so patient and helpful. Dr. Buchanan is very knowledgeable. The equipment in the office is the most up to date Ive seen in years, it was very comforting to know they care about these things. The entire experience was incredible. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

Had my first ever eye exam ever at the age of 27. Everyone in this office was so nice and helpful!My eyes arent bad, but did need some help. Dr. Buchanan explained everything in detail and made sure all my questions were answered. Which is helpful for me because I did not think I would be leaving with glasses when I made this appointment lolThe girl up front was so nice and patient while helping me pick out a pair of frames and setting me up for lenses. Ive never had any corrective stuff for my eyes so I was lost and she helped me understand a bit more about how all this stuff works.I really appreciate their kindness and patience with me! Best experience I have ever had at an optometrist. The office staff were professional, kind, and made sure every aspect of my visit went smoothly from start to finish. And I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Buchanan. He was patient, explained everything and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. Even while I was picking out a new pair of glasses he came out to ensure everything was working out. And! Their selection of glasses was amazing. I found a pair I absolutely loved. To top it off they were all still taking care to make sure everyone and everything was being sanitized and masks were required. I have ALWAYS had a pleasant experience at Ridgeview Optometry. The front office staff are always friendly and helpful with any of my needs. Dr. Buchanan has a very calm and professional demeanor. He pays attention to my concerns and is very thorough in the exam.

This was the most hands-off, unpleasant experience I have ever had when purchasing new frames. This is not a reflection of the doctor, as I did not see him. I only dealt with the front-end employees. Upon arriving with my current prescription in hand, the female acted as if it was an imposition to help me choose frames. She offered little unsolicited advice and when questioned about the lenses her response was, “It’s the best package!” There was no explanation of benefits. When picking up the glasses, a bag was set on the table in front of me and the employee sat across from me, arms folded, scowl on her face. No effort to see if lenses were good or adjust frames to fit. I understand covid concerns, but no excuse for poor service. Glasses are great after having them fitted and adjusted elsewhere.

Dr. B is always very friendly and does a great job! The ladies that checked me in and helped me pick out new glasses were SO helpful, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable! It is always a pleasant experience visiting the RidgeView team!

Dr. Buchanan and his staff have taken care of our optometry needs extremely well over the past 14 years. Years ago when my son’s glasses ‘passed through’ the insides of the recliner to the floor below, he helped us with a replacement pair through our warranty, and has subsequently helped us understand and utilize our insurance benefits every year with contact fittings for all my boys and now my progressive lens’ and prescription sunglasses. Full service and great care all around!

Dr. Buchanan takes his time to explain everything clearly and make certain you feel comfortable with your vision correction before leaving. They have a great display of frames and take great care to repair our glasses when needed.

This is a nice little place. The customer service is great and they do a good job with giving you an accurate prescription. My Rx is minor and doesn’t hinder me, but after getting a new pair of glasses with a prescription, I don’t know why I went without glasses for so long. I only get my eye exams here, not the glasses.

Dr. Buchanan and his staff are not only very friendly, but also professional. No reason for me to trust my eye care to any other practice.

We found RidgeView after being put on a two month wait list for another optometrist. They got us in within a week and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The optometrist is very thorough and will spend the time to listen to you and answer all your questions. I highly recommend them.

As I told Dr. Buchanan, my eyes hate everything. I cant watch people put in contacts or eye drops. Even thinking about it makes my eyes water. I rarely wear make up and definitely cant have anyone else putting it on for me. With that being said, I hate going to the eye Dr. In fact this was only my second time ever and Im 30! I needed to renew my license and figured Id go see a dr instead of the DMV test (and just renew my license online) and be sure my eyes are still okay. Thankfully they are still going strong and I didnt need anything other than the check up. I was in and out extremely quickly. They have all sorts of cool technology to take pictures and everything. I had a great experience and will definitely continue to use RidgeView!

I enjoyed my first time visit, and I would recommend this office. The offices anti-covid measures are the most stringent of any public place Ive been, but I found the optometrist and his staff very understanding about the imposition people might experience by these measures. In addition to the staffs empathy, I also enjoyed the efficiency of my visit. The optometrists assistance in selecting frames was unexpected and very helpful.

Small selection of glasses and then if you ask for a certain frame they offer to order it for you BUT what they fail to mention is that when they order frames they don’t come with a warranty. 10/10 would not recommend. Will be getting my glasses and eyes checked elsewhere from now on after 5 years of coming here. Haven’t even had the frame a year yet and I’m very careful with my glasses.

He is especially great with children.They will even send out a Birthday wish for each of us. I especially love that his office sends out reminder text messages to confirm the day before. The 1st old lady was very cold & a terrible example of this business. The Dr. was amazing. Very professional & was clear in every explanation. He asked many times if I had any questions. A perfect experience with the Dr. The final interaction was with a young lady. She also was very professional & very helpful. This experience couldve been a 5star situation but that 1st lady was very unpleasant. I wouldnt say she was rude but I would say indifferent in the worst way.

The staff was great. Exam was thorough. The doctor spent time explaining everything and provided options. Did not one did anyone on the team suggest or push corrective lenses, even though my vision was less than perfect. The doctor allowed to see the difference between corrected and natural and allowed me to take it from there. I highly recommend this practice.

Very happy with my visit, they are really taking COVID-19 seriously have have implemented a few new policies, like wearing masks, only one person in the office, cleaning everything in-between visits, waiting in your car until they are ready for you. I felt very safe and if youre worried about your visit I can tell you there is no reason to worry your and your eyes are in good hands!

I came to RidgeView two years ago and loved it, but since getting a new job downtown Colorado Springs, I decided to try a new optometry office closer to work. I quickly realized that RidgeView has really raised the bar with their state-of-the-art technology and that coming back was well worth the drive. Dr. Buchanan has assisted me for several years in achieving the best corrected vision possible, correcting for a misshapen cornea that eventually had to be replaced. That surgery was completed one year ago and the new cornea shape is finally stable. Dr. Buchanan coordinated prescriptions for both eyes so that they consistently work together, resulting in the best vision Ive experienced in more than ten years. I very much appreciate his patience and expertise - and his staffs assistance in choosing affordable frames that accommodate my need for both distance and office work.

Easy and super pleasant eye exam experience!Booking appointment online was not only easy, but I was able to be seen the next day. Staff and Dr. B. were all very friendly. Dr.B. took his time to listen to my past history and even determined that I had been slightly over prescribed. I can see much clearer now! When I realized I didn’t like the new brand of contact lenses as much as old ones, his staff got me in on the same day I called to fix the situation. I’m trying other options now, and couldn’t be more pleased by my experience here!

The staff is friendly as well and have been very helpful with information on lens/glasses I want to try and very knowledgable on my insurance plan (which isnt always crystal clear to me) They have Saturday appointments and while limited, always find one for me so I do not miss work. Very unprofessional staff, especially Sidney. She is arrogant and rude! I dont think she is capable to work to this kind of office. She wants to make a decision for their patients & wants to only get her own way . She is inconsiderate to the patients time & effort for coming back & forth to the office to correct their mistakes. I havent met someone as impolite as her. I am sad for Dr Buchanan, because of Sidney, he would lose a lot of patients.
