Called in to have my oxygen machine serviced since they hadnt contacted me since May/June time. I was waiting in queue for over 35 mins when I was finally number 1. Waited an additional 10 mins and no one answered. Will not call again and will wait until they call me from now on.
We were traveling from Omaha to a destination beyond Colorado Springs. I discovered I had forgotten a piece of my CPAP and couldnt use it. I called Summit and they said they could help me even though they do wholesale. We were accommodated and they wished us a safe trip and a welcome to Colorado. I wish my current supplier was that good.
Summit was always willing to work with me and took care of every need promptly, the first time we needed oxygen for my grandfather. This time that he needed to be put on oxygen the hospital told us that we had to go through Aerocare and I have not been taken care of at all, yesterday the tech was dose to come by and take care of doing solid and never showed up. When I tried to call customer service they hung up on me 3 times. Summit never treated us that way!!!
Honestly this is a terrible company to work with. They take *forever* to make progress on any task that you ask of them. They promise to call back with info, but leverage the ploy of tasking items to other teams to cover up their inability to remain organized and efficient. We were assigned Summit Respiratory as the oxygen provider for our newborn son upon departure from the hospital, and if I would have known what I do now I would have fought for a better provider.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I can’t even begin to explain the horrible experience we have had working with Summit. Our newborn was sent home on oxygen & as a first time mother with a newborn, Summit has been a NIGHTMARE. Can’t complete a task that was ordered weeks prior, spent hours of my time on hold with the company, gives zero information and has the RUDEST ladies answering the phones. They didn’t even send us home with the cannula supplies for our newborn and told us we could drive to a medical supply store to get them. I spent $30 on supplies from Amazon. RIDICULOUS. Honestly one of the most frustrating business-dealings I’ve had. Next call is to UCHealth to beg them to stop sending their patients to work with Summit.
My home oxygen machine went out on me and Summit did a great job of getting me a timely replacement. Yes, the hold times on the phone were long, and yes, I had to place a second call, but everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional and they solved my problem.
Bad, horrible, terrible!!! DO NOT even get me started!! They need to shut it down 👎👎👎👎👎 worst place to have to deal with!! Thanks Uchealth for sending us home with oxygen from this place! What a joke!!! Inept staff and just an overall disappointing experience!! Run far away from this place!!
Although many are new they care and are learning. Under new management and appreciated their effort and communication.
Went in today to get issued my CPAP. Josiy was fantastic, professional and helped me get going. I definitely would recommend Summit Respiratory especially if Josiy is taking care of you. Update from 28 Sep: CPAP problems the night before and I notified Josiy via email. She worked me into the schedule same day and got me on the road within minutes. Thanks again Josiy and Team Summit for the excellent customer support!!!
They fail to inform patients of necessary requirements.Fail to explain what and how an ONO works.Fail to explain time requirements.Fail to explain finger out requirement to turn machine off. They fail to understand it is not obvious to us even though it is obvious to them; failing to realize they have done it hundreds of times and we have never.Fail to realize we need their anticipated phone number(s) to insure numbers on our phones have not been spoofed by scammers and thereby blocked on our phones; resulting in their call being inadvertently blocked.Really really sad ..Definitely not ready for todays realities.
If I could leave zero stars I would. My mom was released from the ER last night and was sent home on oxygen. Summit refuses to deliver the oxygen supplies. They say she needs to have someone come and pick up the supplies. When she told them she has COVID as does her whole family, they told her to just stand outside and they would bring the stuff outside. They said if nobody could pick up the supplies then they could ship it out tomorrow. She tried explaining to them that she needs the supplies today and had nobody to pick up the supplies. They then proceeded to tell her that they cant just drop what they are doing and deliver supplies without advance notice. She didnt exactly have advance notice that she was going to the ER! The customer service is horrendous. Very uncaring and unprofessional. Will be leaving Summit and switching companies as soon as possible.
Tech Jermaine was wonderful helping me set up my sons equipment. Very professional and very kind.
Worst follow through! They do not care for patients. I need emergency Bi-pap machine and they keep telling me later. Have my Doctors furious! They dont care if you live. Very careless! Phone employees are clueless.
Very welcoming. They showed me a few things about my air tank I didn’t know before and even gave me new tubes. Very helpful and nice. I’m so thankful for the guy that helped me
This has been the worst medical company experience I have had. We have tried to get the oxygen equipment picked up for 3 weeks, finally received a call (after I emailed on the corporate website) from the Operations Manager on Monday and he told me he had a driver in my area on the following Wednesday and I would receive a call from the driver with an ETA, here I am after 5pm and no pick up, no contact. I called at 3:15pm to basically be told that it would just be easier for everybody if I returned the equipment myself. When they brought us the oxygen they left no paperwork or name of company so I had to figure out from my ER report as to who the company was to begin with, they left us with 8 tall canisters but no cart to transport them and a home condenser - didnt even use the tall canisters, and now I am responsible for taking all of this stuff to them in my personal vehicle.
They brought me a machine and it smelled awful. Like it had been in a dirty house. I asked for a new one and that smelled like cigarette smoke. They dont clean these machines at all. They refused to come out again and Thry were rude. They need to be shut down.
This is a terrible company! They never deliver my oxygen when I need it. I have to find someone to take the empty tanks and get filled ones because Im disabled. The last time nobody opened the door after repeatedly knocking. She looked in the window and several employees were just standing around talking. They are rude. All I ever get is Well, I have to talk to the manager or well call you back. They dont. I go to dialysis three times a week, Drs appointments, and pick up prescriptions.
Kenny came out this morning as scheduled to deliver a concentrator and a small oxygen tank. He was very nice, ew, and polite. I am excited to begin with yet company and Im hoping for the very best service. I also called the office this morning. The female that answered the phone had the same qualities that Kenny possesses.
Hate this place. Use another company. I guess there is a reason ER doesnt recommend them.
Terrible company. My infant son was put on oxygen and we were forced to use Summit. They gave us a concentrator that REAKED of cigarette smoke. We did multiple overnight studies and they lost a large chunk of the data and never answer the phone! I called and left messages every day for over a week because my son was running low on oxygen. I finally just showed up at their door and they complained saying I was not on the schedule and I should have called first or waited for them to call.....
This is probably the worst company I have dealt with in my long life. I would give them zero stars if it was permitted. They drop off the equipment enthusiastically but refuse to come get it, claiming that the patient must undergo tests first, and then refusing to accept multiple orders by the doctor to come and get it after the successful test. Meanwhile they continue to charge medicare and the patient. After 8 weeks of them refusing to come get the equipment and repeatedly claiming (on the rare occasions I could get hold of them) that they hadnt received the doctors orders (despite multiple calls and faxes from my surgeon) I finally filed a medicare fraud claim and a complaint with the Colorado attorney general. Meanwhile, the equipment still sits in my basement unused for months and the company keeps on charging for it. Dont use these guys unless you want to spend hours and hours of your life trying to get rid of the equipment!
Worst customer service ever, called to get new canulas and hoses, first guy I talked to didnt put the order in. 2nd lady didnt either, I have had a hole in the only cannula and hose I have for over a week, Im not getting any O 2 and they cant do their job correctly. Changing to another company today!
Im not one to be complaining about companies however summit respiratory has provided such poor service I believe it to be actually on the brink of being dangerous.Explanation:I ordered my oxygen refill tanks in advance so they would come on the day (and apparently the only day) they are willing to deliver oxygen to someone.Somehow they missed my Monday delivery and when I called to question it they told me the only way I could get oxygen that I was out of was for me to come by their office and pick it up. I did not make the mistake they did as I told them and their response was Im sorry Mam, The only way You will be able to get oxygen is if you come down here and pick it up from our office. We do not deliver on the off days.I questioned her, Im out of oxygen you want me to drive across town without any oxygen to go pick up oxygen from your office because you made a mistake and youre not willing to have a driver come to my house and correct your mistake. She replied several times saying they will only bring me oxygen the following week on Monday. After I received another refill on my portable oxygen tanks, 14 of them only four had oxygen in them The others were empty tanks. Yes that is 4 out of 14 of my portable oxygen tanks actually had oxygen. When I go places I grab enough oxygen tanks and rely on them to be full of oxygen so when I change out a tank I will be okay.I have learned receiving new refilled oxygen tanks from summit respiratory are not reliable... And this could become very dangerous for those of us who rely on the support of oxygen when we are out to only find out the extra tanks are empty even though theyre wrapped in their new white plastic and were just delivered to our home a few days previously. To add insult to injury here I did place two phone calls one immediately after and one a week after to discuss the problem and to request to have a new delivery made for the delivery date the following Monday. It is going on two weeks now and I have had no return phone call.I am to the point I cannot even get my regular tanks refilled because I cannot get any service from summit respiratory in returning my calls and assisting me during regular business hours and not during the time that they are closed for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.I have now contacted their parent company rotech to complain and to do the right thing by going least restrictive in my complaints and I am waiting for a call back from them.In the meantime I am borrowing oxygen from a friend and now a daughter who passed away this past week on oxygen...My recommendation to anyone considering using summit respiratory run stay away.I find this serviceless organization as stated above to be not only p*** service but dangerous and the possible outcomes that could happen due to their lack of customer care and response.
Experience has been horrible. Unfortunately there are very limited options in COS for providers.
GO TO A DIFFERENT PLACE IF POSSIBLE! Were stuck with this service and it is awful. No communication, they have a hard time printing paperwork and NOT knowledgable and helpful!CANT EVER GET AHOLD OF A REP, CALLING OVER AND OVER WORKS.I have been waiting months to get a portable oxygen unit, to find out months later more info. They never called when the new unit was in. Had to rent a portable ubit from a different companyFor a flight when mine was sitting at there office.
This is an awful place with no organization. I am so beyond frustrated and will never utilize Summit Respiratory again.I have asthma and got an upper respiratory infection. My doctor told me to get a nebulizer, and my insurance required me to go through Summit. I was told the day I went to the Pharmacy that Summit would call me either that night or the next day. After four days, I had received no calls or correspondence.I called at 9am on a Tuesday and reached a voicemail. I never received a call back. On Friday, (now 8 days into an upper respiratory infection with no nebulizer) I called multiple times throughout the day until I finally reached an employee. This employee told me she would “rush the order” and I would receive a call to pick up the nebulizer.A full week went by, I received no call. I called on a Friday and left a voicemail. The next Friday, now three weeks from when they were supposed to call me, I called again, leaving another voicemail. (They literally never pick up the phone during work hours). On Monday, I receive a call and it’s a woman from Summit telling me she needs my insurance information. I give it to her, and she says she will call me when I can pick up the nebulizer, She calls me back four hours later and accuses me of lying to her, talking me my insurance doesn’t exist. After talking to her, I realize SHE transposed numbers on my insurance card when I read them to her. She then tells me I told her the wrong number. The next day, Tuesday, I get a call telling me I can pick up my nebulizer l. I said I couldn’t leave work, and asked if I could pick it up on Wednesday. She says yes. I arrive on Wednesday at 3pm to pick up the nebulizer. The doors are locked and the windows are tinted. I stand outside for a while and begin to call Summit and a woman opens the door, and asks what I want. I tell her I’m there to pick up a nebulizer. She asks for my name, closes the door and is gone for about five minutes. Finally she comes back and tells me to wait in my car because she needs to “put things together.” I waited in my car for 23 minutes. A different woman comes out and tells me she needs me to pay a co-pay. I give her my credit card and almost 20 minutes later I receive my nebulizer. This was a horrible process, and a horrible company. I would give 0 stars if it was an option.I would say the employee who gave me my nebulizer told me they were down employees because of Covid and was incredibly friendly. But waiting over a month to receive a prescription nebulizer from a company that literally never returned a single phone call was so frustrating.
Companies like this are all the same. They have you stuck between a rock and a hard spot because it takes a doctors order to get rid of the machine. Then they claim they never got the orders. I have a machine that has been sitting, unused, for over a year. The billing department threatens to pick up the machine for nonpayment. How I wish they would! Im terminally ill so I dont much care what they do, but if youre going to be around for a while, I suggest you take steps right away to get them out of your life.
Something is just not right with Summit Respiratory. Not enough employees, a computer glitch, major problems! Ive attempted to update my insurance several times, moving to Medicare and a supplement. The change was almost a year ago. Twice I have turned delivery people away who were trying to pick up the oxygen concentrator because my old insurance denied the claim. No warning, nothing. Now, I get letters claiming that I owe Summit $3,000 for the equipment. For weeks, Summit has been saying that they sent CMS (Certificate for Medical Service) paperwork to my health care provider but she has never received the paperwork. I call and call trying to correct these problems. Ive never talked with the same person twice at Summit. Im told they have sent the paperwork and the change of insurance is in their computer system.. Im contacting a different oxygen provider today.
Awful. Just awful. Ive been trying to get them to pick up the equipment they left at my house for 3 weeks. They refuse to pick it up without a release from my Doctor. My Doctor has sent over the release at least 3x. They are just running up a bill to the insurance carrier.
I would give no stars if I could, worse than APRIA. For a month and a half, my son and I have been waiting for them to contact him about getting him his CPAP machine and supplies. Every time he calls them, they say they will call him back, but they just blow him off. If it continues, I will be contacting Medicaid to file a complaint, since it seems they dont mind collecting the money from them, but do mind actually providing the service and equipment that they are getting paid to provide.
Would give them zero Stars if I could. They are absolutely horrible at following up. I get the run-around constantly and have been without a mask for over 6 months. Had to pay out of pocket because they dont know what theyre doing
I was put on oxygen over a month ago and it was only a temporary situation. I cant get them to pick up the equipment. They keep telling me that my doctor ordered a sleep test that my doctor says he never ordered. They keep delaying pickup and keep billing my insurance. What a scam.
Horrible company. When you call in they have attitudes to start with . Then I was told by the guy who delivered my sons oxygen that if I needed more they are 24 hours just to call to get a delivery . My son is on oxygen and is only a week old so when I called to get more I was told I had to pick it up . I can’t drive since I had a C section only a week ago and they basically told me I’m SOL. Absolutely ridiculous and I would never recommend them to anyone . Be aware they do not care about the people they serve .
The most incompetent company I’ve seen. I don’t understand how they are in business. They don’t call you to schedule they don’t call you to come out they have no communication. How can you tell people oh same day call and we will refill tanks then call and say no you’re scheduled for certain day. It’s not the customers issue you don’t have sufficient amount of products to distribute either!
Very friendly staff. I had to call my doctor’s office to request their contact information after not hearing from them for more than a week after referral was sent. Poor communication with physicians office after test results should have been available.
Their service men are good. But the office people do not answer the phone. I have tried for 3 days. They do not return phone calls.
IF they EVER show up to give us our supplies, before my daughter ends up back in the hospital, I will be amazed!!! My daughter had surgery. Sent home at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Since 2 o’clock we have been trying to get her supplies. They could care less and now she has been without oxygen for three hours after surgery. She is not allowed to take narcotics for her pain because of her oxygen and she can’t go to sleep. Absolutely awful experience. And according to the reviews this isn’t new. I was told well it is Valentine’s Day WOW!!! Told he will try by 8 or 9 pm.. seriously?!? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
They charged me over $300.00 for a nebulizer that I could get online for less than 20 bucks.Couldnt get ahold of them via the phone, there was always at least 20 people ahead of me when I was placed on hold. They prey on the sick and elderly. They are criminals.
I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and was entirely confused on how to treat my condition. Not only did their representative Ramon explain the condition effectively, but also demonstrated how to clean the equipment and use it properly. Very professional staff as well. I will recommend anyone with a sleep disorder to seek your services, thank you Summit Respiratory!
NEVER. EVER. AGAIN. I have never had a billing problem like this before. I am so frustrated and upset I literally dont know what to do. My boyfriend was in the hospital and could only be discharged if we had home oxygen in place. This was in December. We do not have insurance or credit cards or bank accounts. Summit allowed us to pay for a month of oxygen with a money order at the time of delivery. I had to fly out to SC that night so I filled out the money order for my boyfriend to give to the driver. He did and everything was fine. A couple months later I got a bill for the exact amount we already paid. I called and they told me we have a returned check. WHAT CHECK???!!!! We paid with a money order. Those do not bounce. I have been fighting with them about this for months! After numerous phone calls to their billing department, they are now asking for the tracking number on the money order. Who keeps that stuff?? No one! They need to look at their deposits and they will CLEARLY see the money order! Also, it turns out that Summit for some dumb reason entered our money order payment as a CHECK?? The time I have spent stressing over this is becoming unfathomable. I have never heard of such bad business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I literally have tears streaming down my face as I write this. I hope they read their reviews. I feel absolutely hopeless about this situation. As I am writing this, the situation has still not been resolved and I swear to God, I will fight them for everything I have. I dont care how long it takes or where I need to go, NO ONE should have to deal with this.
Not a goid company threaten clients that they r coming by to take back there equipment and to senders. Then charge 1000 of dollars. For a used machine that breaks tto seniors who have fixed incom . Bad compant
Slow service. I have had a concentrator and tank for over 3 months, that I havent used in over 3 months (I used it for 1 week). It took about 1 1/2 weeks to get a NocOx study done, then they said they did not get enough information and it had to be rescheduled. They then called back a week later and basically said OOPS, we do have enough info. It took another week for those results to go to my doctor. They sent them to my PCP who looked and said the results were normal. They sent a DC letter. Apparently it was never received, so they sent it again two weeks ago. I called last week (Monday) and left a message requesting pick up, I still have not heard anything as of today (Thursday) so I called. They had the letter on file, but never called to schedule a pick up. Now they will be picking up on Tuesday of next week.It is obvious they are very short staffed for the work they do, and perhaps they need new management to get it together. With these horrible reviews I have read I would not have used them if the hospital hadnt just used it.
This company will not answer the phone or emails. The only way to get action was to appear in person. Even after that, my confidence was so low that I decided to find a different provider.
I was supposed to receive an oxygen delivery/exchange at my residence today and no one ever came. When I called over a week ago to schedule the exchange, the woman who scheduled the appointment never mentioned that the driver would need to speak with someone prior to coming to our home, she simply said that we were added to the route for the day. At 3:30 pm, no one had been to our home yet so I called and spoke to a woman who said she would look into it and call me back. She never did. 45 minutes later I called AGAIN to check in since I had not heard back and I was told that the drivers were done for the day and that no one would be able to come deliver the oxygen that I need for my 4 month old son. I was told that the driver called this morning and that since I did not answer my phone, I was dropped off the route. There are multiple problems here. 1: I have a 4 month old son which means that I am not always able to answer my phone when it rings. 2: The driver did not leave a message - how am I supposed to know to call him back for the delivery? 3: Tying into number 2, I receive phone calls every day from unknown numbers that are telemarketers and scam callers. I am not going to call back some random number who did not leave a message, especially when I am not expecting to be contacted by someone for the delivery. 4: I called at 3:30 to check on the delivery because the business closes at 5 and thought that left enough time. When I asked what time the drivers were done for the day, I was told that they were done around 4. This means, that when I called the first time to check in, there potentially may have been time for a driver to deliver the oxygen. Instead, the woman never returned my call and I unfortunately called back after the drivers were already done for the day. I am fuming. If I could leave this as a 0-star review, I would. It is Friday, the place is now closed and now I have to wait until Monday to go and personally exchange the oxygen tanks on my own. My son has appointments on Monday morning and although he has an oxygen concentrator in our home, we rely on the tanks for appointments and he is down to his last one. This is just absolutely unacceptable not only on a customer service aspect, but as a medical supply company who supplies something that is so vital to human life. Just absolutely unacceptable and awful.
I am very surprised at all the negative reviews. Ive been ordering supplies from this place for years and have never had a problem. I recently had surgery that apparently required me to have an oxygen machine temporarily. The team came out the same night to deliver the machine and hooked it up to my CPAP for me. I now am told to have an oxygen saturation test done, called yesterday and was told to go today 11/1/2019, to pick up the device I need for the test. The people have always been very nice and helpful to me, personally. Maybe Ive just been lucky, but well see how things go when I show up today and if I have a bad experience, Ill update this review.
The worst communication EVER ! The gal (Cassandra) is the furthest person from being professional or compassionate towards someone who needs 02 to live a more enjoyable life. What a horrible example of someone that is hired to help others. Rude, rude, rude.
If you need to get a hold of someone by phone.. Dont waste your time. I have left voicemail after voicemail... No responce... The staff that actually comes out are great, but their customer service team sucks. God forbid they answer calls for families who have newborns on oxygen.
Not sure who the grumpy folks below saw for treatment but my experience was much different. Ramone spent an hour with me explaining all of the details involved with the equipment I was receiving as well as sizing and setting it up. He was extremely polite and helpful. Sometimes patients need to have a little patience themselves. I would recommend this facility to others and would patronize them again.
Not responsive to voicemails.
Very disappointed in the service Ive gotten both in terms of the speed of delivery of service and support. And I havent had good luck on the phone with them. Just generally they dont seem to have a good customer service attitude and Im not at all satisfied.
Worst customer service in the country ! Wife has had oxegen since February 2019 never once came by to service equipment refill tanks nothing in 9 and half months. But yet wants to charge insurance company for this and now Medicaid this company is a joke ! Now if you are a Veteran thru the VA. They are Johnny on the spot !My opinion companies like this should be held accountable and be shut down !!
Horrible. Customer service is definitely not a top priority around here. My doctor sent them an order to stop my O2, they requested additional testing to make sure I really dont need the oxygen. 3 weeks later and a massive bill, Im now having to drop off all the equipment.
This company has the worse service and the rudest people that I have ever seen! Most of the time they dont even answer the phone, its extremely hard to get in contact with anyone when you need them and when you finally get someone to speak with they are very rude and unhelpful. My mom had this company and we finally switched to a more competent, helpful company for her needs and now her tanks are lighter and easier to use for her and she is thrilled with the professionalism of the company she changed to. Even her doctors office is hearing bad reviews and complaints about Summit
These people are awesome. They are patient. They are knowledgeable and thorough. Also, they work with cranky sleep deprived people like me for a living, so take the negative reviews here with a grain of eye crusties instead of salt.
I have a family member that requires an oxygen concentrator. My family member arranged to have an O2 concentrator delivered to my home. I was at work and got a phone call from a number I didnt recognize (I couldnt answer the phone as I work in an environment where I cannot take personal phone calls). Its a good thing I Googled the #, because they didnt even leave a message. They were also contacting my boyfriend, who was home but works nights (thus sleeps days). I was told the equipment would be delivered sometime in the afternoon. By the time I got home at 6, it still hadnt arrived. It was delivered around 6:30 that evening. At the end of the stay, my family member called to have the equipment picked up. This was on a Sunday. They said they could pick it up Tuesday and asked if anyone would be at the house for someone to retrieve it during the day. My BF - a medical clinician - was back on days, and I work a regular 8-5 job, so it wouldnt work for us. Fortunately we were home Friday, so arranged to have the equipment picked up Friday at 11:00 a.m.11:00 a.m. Friday rolls around and we start to wonder whether it will be picked up. Then my family member calls me and lets me know that Summit had called him and said they had tried to contact me all morning to no avail and that he was going to be charged for the pickup of this machine. I received NOT ONE phonecall from this company. At the same time Im on the phone with my dad, they called my boyfriend and said they were outside of the house. I have not a clue why they 1. threatened my dad with charging for the pickup then 2. LYING about trying to call me and then 3. calling when they were waiting outside of the house anyway! HELLO, knock on the door!Unfortunately I dont have any alternative to using this company, since my Dad - a 100% service-disabled Vietnam vet, must use this company as the VA here in Colorado Springs contracts with them. Please get your act together, guys, whether its for vets or other patients.
Im filing a complaint today against Summit Respiratory Service with the Colorado Attorney Generals Office for Improper Billing Practices and Fraud. I received a call this morning from Gina saying that a nebulizer that my son received from his doctors office about a month ago had a $10.65 copay on it and would I like to take care of that now. I said everything goes through my ex-wifes insurance because that is who my son is listed under. Gina said that I was listed as the first contact on the intake form at the doctors office. Eventually I pay half so I did feel like I should take care of this, but Gina said that they couldnt mail us a bill, and that they couldnt even e-mail anything. I asked to speak to her Supervisor and was transferred to Theresa. Theresa said that she can e-mail me the received for the $10.65 after I paid by credit card. I gave her my credit card info over the phone and then she sent me a receipt.I let my ex-wife know that I paid it and she said that I wasnt supposed to because she met her max out of pocket for her and my son this year. My ex-wife also said she didnt fill out any form that Gina was referring to in which Gina said my info was listed first. I called Theresa back and she said they thought she hadnt met their deductible yet. I asked what info that she had that said that, she said that they ran a report but that I had to be transferred to another company to discuss a refund. I said they wouldnt probably talk to me because the insurance is not in my name, she said they would because it was about my son but that I had to get the refund from them. I was transferred, spoke to Shandra, she said that my ex-wifes insurance company would have to call them and request the refund. I asked to speak to her Supervisor and she said per their protocol, she would have to take my name and number down and request that her supervisor give me a call. I gave her my info and asked her to let her supervisor know that I was filing a complaint with the Colorado Attorney Generals Office for Improper Billing Practices.
I left instructions for this company to pick up my tanks at my work location as I live a long way out in the boonies and I figured it would make it easier on them. I also left specific instructions to call me on my cell number as there would be no one at my home number during the day. I went through the entire day with no call from the driver and so I delivered the tanks directly to their office on Forge Road in Colorado Springs. When I arrived home I found a voicemail at home from the driver wanting directions to my house. I called Summit the next day and told them I had already returned the equipment directly to the company and to take me off the pickup list. They said they would. That night I arrive home to another voicemail from a different driver wanting to come pick up my equipment. I called the next day and asked to speak to a manager and he said he would get me off of the pickup list. That apparently worked, but now I got a bill for two months service when I only had the tanks two weeks. I tried calling Rotech which is the billing company. They merely patched me back to the local Summit company which promptly went to voicemail even though it is during their business hours. AND the recording says they only check their voicemails twice a day! What kind of one-horse company is this? This company definitely does NOT have their act together, and Im left wondering if they arent just plain crooked.
Have tried for over 6 months to get these people to pick up their equipment. Finally told them today, either pick it up by 5:00 pm Wednesday or Thursday morning ( one week from today ) it will be thrown away. I am NOT a storage facility. They are milking the VA because they can. DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES ! ! ! ! ! ! !
THE WORST COMPANY - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH!!!!! This company is incompetent. They were UNABLE to get me the O2 I needed in a timely fashion. I needed MOBILE equipment they said it would be a WEEK! By that point, I no longer needed it. They gave me HUGE equipment that was NOT mobile. They they refused to pick it up. A discontinuance was ordered ONCE by my doctor and they lost that. I believe they did not want to pick it up so that they could continue to charge my insurance company for the O2. Their employees are RUDE & CONDESCENDING .... I can not say enough BAD about this company. NO sick person should have to deal with them.
I stopped in once to get a part for a set up they provided. Not only did I not get the part, I was shocked by the lack of service a woman with an infant received. There is no way I would ever trust them to provide oxygen for an infant. I so wanted to tell her that! That very sad moment will stay with me a long time and whenever I hear about Summit Respiratory. I have never seen any service provider anywhere care less about the people they provide equipment to.Please be warned. Your health is important, to you, your family and all those that care about you. Personally, I would not trust these people with anything much less my health. I learned that firsthand the hard way. Read the reviews, theres a reason they are rated so low.
I won’t post a bad review until I have a bad experience, so far so good after 2 visits. The employees have been nothing but courteous and helpful so far.
They were the company for my 2 year old sons oxygen needs. We hadnt even made it home from the hospital and they were ready to come set up everything. I was crying the whole time they were setting everything up for my son. They were very patient with me and showed me everything I needed to know and answered all my questions. My son just for the green light to be off oxygen. I personally took everything back to summit because of my crazy schedule. Great experience.
What a joke!! Absolutely no customer service. My daughter was supposed to have oxygen delived the day we got home from the hospital, didnt show up until 3 days later. Need oxygen picked up as we have moved we were told it would be picked up on a Thursday, didnt happen, call back friday still not picked up. Spoke to route ma ager assured me monday it would be picked up, here we are on thursday of the following week and the oxygen is yet to be picked up. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!
The customer service is rude. The driver called to let me know he was coming to pick up equipment was not able to get to my phone left message stating that hed be there from 11-1 and to call if I was unable to be home. Otherwise hed be there. At 2 I called and the csr called me a liar and said that he didnt come because I didnt call back. She went and got him because he was back from his route. He said that he was there at 12 and repeatedly rung my bell and i didnt answer so he left a door tag. I was home right next to my front door ALL DAY LONG for this purpose. I walked to my front door. Surprise no door tag told him so and he then called me a liar as well. Once they come and pick up the equipment I will never do business with them again.
The most useless company known to man kind. No one knows their job description, employees lie about appointments and the route drivers lie about calling you and knocking on the door because they are LAZY to walk up 3 flights of stairs, even though it is their job. They forget to turn on the oxygen tanks before they leave or they give you an empty tank and then argue with you because they have to replace it and its before 12 weeks. Their employees constantly complain about their jobs. They are all so unpleasant and argumentative even when they are in the wrong. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AND USELESS OXYGEN COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE FIND ANITHER OCYGEN COMPANY. ANYWHERE IS BETTER THAN HERE!!!!!!
Rude, rude, rude, sooo unprofessional, i would NEVER refer somone there. Sure hope you never have to deal with the incompetent (Cassandra).
They have had my orders for over three days and Im sitting here Memorial Day weekend with no oxygen with bronchitis and lung disease and these people cannot even take a phone call. Please go somewhere else stick to Apria. Medicare needs to drop these idiots
Everything was fine till I got Medicare. Summit Respiratory can no longer get the $400.00 per month plus they were billing my TriCare Standard. So they decided to confiscate my O2 concentrator and tell me they have been unable to bill my insurance . No one else has any problem billing my insurance ... I guess Ill purchase my own O2 machine. Thanks for nothing Summit ... jm
My experience is they have been very helpful they deal with ill people all day and do it with a smile l have never been treated rudely at all. They were even very helpful in telling me where in springs l could go to get refurbished machines and not have to pay to rent one every month it has saved me alot of money
Referred to them through PCP (no idea why). Numerous voicemails and no return call for weeks. Family member needed CPAP for a serious condition and ... nothing. Unprofessional.
This is my first time needing this kind of service - I am not impressed . I have a 3 week old who was put on oxygen while in the nicu and needs to be on this all the time. The guy who dropped off the tanks and equipment never showed me how to use anything . It seemed like he was in a hurry and uncomfortable around the toddlers that were trying to have toddler conversations with them when he was at the house . So my newborns at home stuff is pointless, and just taking up space .i have a huge oxygen tank I would also like to be able to use at night but it is leaking because nobody showed me how to use it.so my babys travel tanks are all I can use, which is wasting them for when I actually DO need them. I have called 2 times -the first time was voicemail and it said they would call back by the next business day and they never did . So I called again and had to leave ANOTHER voicemail and once again no call back. The first time I called when I called to have this all dropped off they actually answered even though we played phone tag and got someone out pretty quick. It makes no sense but I would not recommend this place . If I dont hear back by tomorrow I will just be going into the office building
Husband was discharged late from the hospital. We got oxygen at 11:30pm right before his portable ran out. They took the time to ensure I knew how to change tanks and clean the home unit.
Customer service (Dave) is extremely rude and condescending. Took 3 weeks to get the equipment from them and what they brought was incorrect. If you want to be treated with courtesy and respect, choose another company.
The worst experience. First I was without oxygen for days as they were not responding. Now I have the equipment sitting here for weeks now and they are not picking it up. spent hours on calls to them without results. what a waste of time and money.
This is the worst company ever. Charging when they don’t call to pick up the equipment when told someone would call. Then Sending out letters saying I never gave the equipment back. I will never deal with this company again. Every time I call phone calls get disconnected or a voicemail no one ever calls you back or someone saying wrong department let me transfer you and the phone hangs up.
Horrible service and customer service. They do not work with you on your days off to pick up equipment, only when convenient for them. They schedule for a pick up into the day your not going to be there, they expect you to wait around all day when they can pick up and wont call you till 15min out which doesnt give you time to get home to meet them so they just leave a note and leave. They dont return calls. But they will be more than glad to continue to charge you for equipment until they can pick up. Not only did I have to pick it up at the location I also had to drop it off. Very inconvenient and unprofessional, will never use this place again, highly dont recommended this place. My poor father is a veteran and they gave him equipment he didnt need, hes been gone for over a month since his visit and still cant get them to pick up equipment, the are robbing the VA system and veterans, smh!
Slow response to questions. Damn near impossible to get equipment picked up.Complaints will be going to Memorial, BBB, etc. Dont let Memorial hospital use this business for you.
I have been trying for three weeks to get them to come pick up tanks which are taking up room that I do not have to spare. Have been playing telephone tag. I actually spoke to someone on Friday, and had the delivery set up for today. By 4:00 pm, nobody had shown up, so I called again. The girl who answered the phone said I was on the drivers schedule, and she would send him a message to call me with his ETA. It is now nearly 7:00 pm, no call, no show. I wasted my whole day waiting for nothing.
Unhelpful, late on everything, and billed months after C-Pap was returned.
Absolutely HORRIBLE company. Do not use!! Would not stop calling for payment and then refused to pick up equipment. Still waiting and its been 6 weeks.
I would be very careful w/ this company. my relative was a patient & in 2012 all the sudden they were arqsking for OVER NIGHT PULSOX, I called Dr for .& this .test was not needed that. I called MEDICARE & WAS TOLD TEST WAS NOT NEEDED. WE LEFT SUMMIT AFTER FINDING OUT THEY WERE GIVING WRONG INFO TO PATIENTS
Seriously painful to deal with. My experience has made having a sick preemie child much harder when it comes to her pulmonary concerns. Wish my insurance gave me another option. Chelsea treated me so poorly and forgot to note the return of my overnight pulse ox machine now Im being threatened with no service.
I have been blessed to have this company meet my needs. Thanks for being there for me!!
Worst company ever! Said that they tried contacting me but couldnt. So I get a call from my daughter telling me that they are at the house to pick up my concentrator and oxygen tanks. When I called them they told me my prescription had ran out and that I needed to make a appointment with my dr. I did so and called them back just for them to tell me that I need a earlier appt. and that they couldnt wait. I went 3 weeks without oxygen. I have C.O.P.D. and pulmonary hypertension. If I would have known before my dr. appointment that in order to change companies you have to take all your test over again, I would have done it. Now Im stuck with them and my tanks need to be refilled and they tell me that my next delivery isnt until Nov. and that if I need them refilled I have to bring them to them. I live on the 2nd floor and not able to carry 15 tanks up and down the stairs. :-( Seriously do not go with this company!!!!
Rotech is parent company to AAA Oxygen Houston, Texas. We definately have problems with our service from AAA Oxygen. Would not recommend the use of either company. Why Medicare even bothers to deal with this company, Ill never know.
My husband arrived for his sleep study in March of 2013 and was handed numerous forms to sign. None of these forms were explained to him. He also handed the person his Medicare and United Healthcare Insurance cards. The sleep study was done and he went home the next morning. We received an EOB from Medicare stating that they could not cover the study because they were not primary. So, we contacted Medicare and made sure that they corrected their mistake. They simply did not change his information in their system to show them as Primary and United Healthcare as secondary. They asked us to contact Summit Respiratory to have them resubmit their bill so that they could be paid. This has been going on since March and Summit Respiratory refuses to resubmit the bill because when my husband arrived and was given that multitude of forms to sign one of them was an ABN for. This form states that if your insurance company does not pay you will be responsible for the entire amount. We contacted Medicare no less than 7 times and they are ready to pay this bill but they need to have Summit Respiratory re-submit the bill to them. We have had conversations with Summit at least seven times and they refuse to re-submit the bill because they say that my husband signed the ABN form which makes him responsible for the entire bill. We have explained that the ABN form should never have been given to him because he presented the company with both his insurance cards and since Medicare has made the correction to their records the ABN is null and void. After eight months of trying to get this company to simply re-submit a bill that is waiting to be paid by Medicare, in full, to them, our only resource left was to file a formal complaint against the company on behalf of Medicare. WE have been told not to speak with them, it is entirely up to them to re-submit the bill and these people have done nothing but continue to call, threaten us with credit collection and they refuse to re-submit unless Medicare contacts them directly. We even asked Medicare if they could call them and ask them to re-submit the bill. As Medicare explained it to us, they cannot contact every claimant who has an outstanding bill and ask them to re-submit them. They have thousands of bills being processed. We have explained this to Summit every time we have spoken with them and they continue to refuse. This company evidently does not want the money they are owed and that Medicare is waiting to pay them. Because of their stubbornness their payment is still sitting in Medicares office and not theirs. Not looking forward to working with these folks anywhere in the near future.
Poor service over a month with doctors order still no oxygen. Never deal with them rude and horrible service!
This company has the worst service and most incompetent and useless employees..
Terrible customer service, spectacularly unhelpful, tried to get broken equipment replaced, complete run around for 2 weeks. Went to a competitor in 80918 and was taken care of same day. Can I give zero stars?
The people are rude need more training
Worst service ever!! Lost two orders for equipment hoses. Took three weeks to arrive. Customer Service is impossible to reach by phone. Leave messages that takes days to receive a call back.
They were horrible! `I had to change providers because they did not do their job properly and I almost died because no one answered my calls for Oxygen! I was not even put in their system. Then they were very rood to me like it was my fault they screwed up!!!
These people are clueless. Ive had my doctor fax over my RX and notes 4 times and they still cannot get it in the system so I can get the supplies that I need. Run...far away.
