The Ft. Jackson Exchange is very clean and modernized with updated decor from a recent major renovation project during early to mid 2017. My most recent visit was pleasant and quick. As always, the staff is friendly and helpful. The electronic department has been spruced up with a complete Apple display and a comprehensive mobile phone department. An elegant comprehensive perfume and jewelry exhibits are located near the main entrance.

Prices are sometimes comparable. But A LOT of the times items you can get items less expensive elsewhere (just down the road outside the gate or even online). The Tax Savings they offer isnt worth the trouble. Most items (e.g. clothes, shoes, kitchen appliances, etc.) are models from previous years. If you dont believe me, please just look up those same models / items online. Just takes a few seconds. Do your due diligence. Price shop for those same items. You can almost always find those same older models for less elsewhere. Heck, I have even found newer models online for less than what AAFES is asking for the older models at times.Oh, and they claim to Price Match but they do everything earthly possible from honoring that pledge. Instead of providing Military Servicemembers & Retiress with outstanding customer service & rewarding customers for their patronidge in choosing to shop at AAFES over other establishments (by simply honoring their own price matching pledge / commitment), they do EVERYTHING to disqualify the price matching and have no problems trying to embarrass their customers in the process. And this is not the junior employees doing this. No Sir / No Maam. These are the so called assistant managers / managers. So I ask everyone to think twice about spending your hard earned money at any AAFES (especially at the Fort Jackson AAFES) where you are treated less than honorably. Take your business elsewhere. Seek businesses where you are treated as the VIPs you are. Especially during this COVID epidemic. There are businesses that need customers / sales to stay afloat and survive from having to shut down permanently. And they almost always will... Price Match to make the sale. So shop local. Shop outside AAFES. Stop giving AAFES your money. Even their fuel is more expensive. Nothing is worth spending your money at AAFES. The only ones that should be making purchases at AAFES are the BCT & AIT Soldiers in training who cant leave Fort Jackson.#BoycottAAFES

My husband went last Friday to purchase a new iPad for me. I was not able to get it to work. I went back today, and now Im in. Service was wonderful.

Great PX. Lots of parking and lots of things to look at and vendors helping. Nice gun selection. Electronics was a little weak, but still had most everything you needed. I enjoy going to the military bases since I am retired Army. Nice to see what is available there to purchase. Of course I will go back someday.

I love shopping exchange. They usually fast and attentive. There are times you will get the day where no one really wants to do their job. But when I found someone to help at customer service I was able to get everything done . They are friendly and nice and love shopping on base for certain things than off base

This is a great PX! Always well stocked and easy to navigate. Employees are always friendly. Be aware though on Wednesday’s and Thursdays it is very busy because of Family Day and Graduation so if you need to go on one of those days, go before or well after those times so that you don’t have to stand in the long lines.

It was neat but packed. We went for my sons Basic training graduation. I did buy my self a sweater and my son bot things there too. Its Lovely

Good luck getting anything in a timely manner. On Wednesday and Thursday it is packed full of tourist family members who somehow lose all common sense when they pass through the main gate and haven’t a clue on how to utilize trashcans, cross walks, order in checkout lines, or how to drive and park. A 5 min trip turns into over an hour. The staff in the food court have less motivation than a 50 year old heroin addict living under a bridge.

Large variety of merchandise and love to browse the store. Prices are equal to the quality of merchandise. Return policy is top notch.

Best place to shop if you can get on base. One of the larger Exchanges because it is a graduation base. The wireless (phone) kiosk is AMAZING. They sell all carriers, but T-Mobile works the best in the area and also has the best deals.

I only hit up the food court. Dirty. The food wasnt very good. Even the soda didnt taste good. And all you have to do there is keep the freaking machine clean. The soda machine does all the work.

I really appreciate The Exchange at each base, and this particular one is getting a face lift... so at the time I was there it was more like 3 stars. However you can tell they are really investing a lot into making it a great place in the next few months.

I gave it a four star rating because it serves the army with their needs. But we were there for army graduation and the lunch rush hit and they dont know how to prepare food in a timely matter at all!

This is a good place to go. It is kinda like a Walmart or a Target but in between the prices of those two stores. The customer service is good and friendly as well.

This place was huge. It offers many different services plus a multi purpose store. Its on the base so the have multpile stands, almost like a mall, that offer many different things. They also have a nice food court, and the shopping store is comparable to a Walmart. It was very nice and pretty much a one stop shop. FYI... If your visiting your SIT, and go to the store, they must be with you to show their ID at checkout.

Went shopping with my niece and nephew. They had a clearance sale and if you purchased 8 items that was on clearance you get everything half off. We racked up!!!

Too expensive. Understand we dont pay taxes there but, stuff are almost twice expensive than a regular store outside a base. Example we bought a 55 inch smart TV on the exchange next day we found same TV, same brand 150.00 cheeper outside so we took it back and save 150.

Fine was able to get in and out with my purchase . Just purchase certain items as for the most part you can get things cheaper on the outside economy

Its a great place to go for military. I dont have to worry about long lines and customer service is great. And its only about 5 minutes away from my house and I live on the Fort Jackson Post.

This is a poorly managed operation. The manager needs to receive some basic training on what it means to lead and manage. There are numerous examples of neglect and incompetence. Most recent and glaring is the entrance automatic doors have been inoperative for a month. Signs are up informing of a date to be repaired. As of two days ago they are still not repaired. It is beyond comprehension that the doors couldnt be repaired within 48 hours if anyone really believed that they serve the best customers in the world. AAFES is obviously more concerned anything but their customers.I am not a malcontent or hyper critical person, I am always benevolent and empathetic in making reviews. I always give the benefit of doubt. I have been going to this store for 13 years and have watched it deteriorate shamefully. I dont know if the gate 2 has shop is under the store management, but it has a pump out of action for at least six months, it is common for the pumps to be out of paper to print receipts. The turn over is pathetic which indicates that is serious problem exists.Get this manager some serious help or replace with someone capable. My name is Joe Mellen and I stand by everything and more.

Like a small department store, they have a decent selection to choose from. They do sell guns, electronics, clothes, jewelry, seasonal stuff, toys, household goods, some furniture and alcohol. If you buy a gun You have to leave base immediately. You have to have a military ID to shop here.

GOOD px. However they PRICE gouge you bad. If ARMY school requires black backpack only then px will charge more than another color backpack. So sometimes better to drive off post to shop.

Took my client to do his monthly shopping and the employees there were very courtious, helpful and respectful.

Recently remodeled and renovated, this is a large Exchange Store that is appropriate for the size of FT. Jackson. Great selections in electronics, cosmetics, clothing and camping/sporting goods.

Nice place has all that you need it may be a little crowded depending on the day you go but it’s a big store with food places inside to eat like a little mall on base

They help with a feature called price matching, very useful. Associates very helpful.

Very nice interior, item organization was on point. A few battles were buying cellphones inside without hiccups.

We are new to this area and were excited to go to the PX because we use to live here 16yrs ago. The Exchange used to have amazing sales and we always met an effort to visit it atleast 3-4 times a week. After moving here from Virginia, we figured that the prices were be cheaper here and more events, and sales offered. But we were mistaken. Although they did have some of the same sales, the merchandise was not at the same quality. We try to go atleast go 2x a week, to support the Exchange, in hopes that during their renovation, they will make some changes.
