Big D Automotive has a strong, loyal clientele, making wait time necessary if you dont have an appointment. They do good work, and stand behind it. Pricing is fair. My only complaint was the rap music in the waiting room...11/1/2021 Update:Under New Ownership...So much for standing behind their services. 😢

Overall great experience for the guys at Big D Auto. I needed to have some body work done on my mustang and these guys took great care of me. My car hasn’t looked this nice in years. They lied to me about doing a full engine check. They just eyeball it and go by what your comments are. Then they charge you 205.00 for eyeballing. Had my car 3 days said they called me insurance with a quote and were waiting on answer. I called my insurance on 3rd day and insurance had not been called. IF they lie to you ONCE what else are they lieing anout

I called around to a few different tire shop and they had the best price just to put on tires only. I purchase them online so I did not need to pay the same amount for the tires just to have them installed. They immediately got me in and got the car started the whole process took maybe 30 minutes and I was out. I highly recommend if youre in a hurry or if you just dont want to an arm and a leg.

I went up there they quote me a price of $75 and after the repair they charge me 106 which is completely unprofessional because i said the girl onThe counter that you told me $75 and she just completely ignored and said me it’s $106 I completely prefer not to go to this place because they will tell you something else and charge you something else

Friendly staff! The technicians are all helpful and patient. They are usually busy, but they will try to accommodate you as best as they can. Pricing is also great and they go above and beyond to make sure your car is taken care of. Have been going to them for over a year now, and they always make sure to answer all of my questions and that me and my car are safe.

Big D Automotive is the BEST mechanical shop I have ever been to.It is so clean each and every time Im there and the service is beyondgood. They are very friendly, professional and explain to you in detailwhat the problem is with your vehicle. I moved from Dallas, but I stillgo to Big D because I know Ill get excellent service and fair pricing.

Called and told them my Ford Fiesta wasnt starting. The guy said he knows what it is and if we bring it over, for $80 he can tell us what it is. A week later and he still hasnt figured it out. He says its the ignition module so he changes it. Eventually he tells us it needs a new computer. I take it somewhere else and it turns out it was a connector not making contact right. So I paid $200+ for them to not fix it.

Scammer, Dino and those who work are liars, they give you the vehicle so you can bring it back.. be very careful they are not honest people.

My headlight cover some how got busted out, as in completely gone. I was a little nervous because of my budget, but the guys at Big D Automotive as always had my back. They are took care of the parts, checked for anything else that might cause me to fail inspection, with labor and kept everything below my budget. Crooks!The manager here is a crook he sold me a new tire that was used ... Charged me 90.00$ for a new tire with a patch ... Drove to Galveston it was flat by then ... they put an orange patch on it and because his are black and the new patch I HAD to get in Galveston was orange he accused me of lying about it ... He IS A CROOK AND BD AUTOMOTIVE should be xed out they are liars cheaters and dont stand by anything ... I hate BIGD AUTOMOTIVE ... If they can rip you ... They will ... BE WARNED ... Worst decision Ivs ever made regarding repairs to a vehicle is bringing my car to Big D. I brought the car in for overheating, AC repair & my automatic windows not working & a tune up . I paid $2600!!! they had my car 2 months, with poor communication & seemed like I was given an attitude for even calling for a status update even tho I paid $1000 down to start repairs & $1600 to pick up. When I got my car back it wouldnt start without a jump, turns out I needed a new battery which they tried to charge me $200 more for. I eneded up getting a brand new battery for $70 from an auto parts store . My tires were almost flat but they claim to have test driven the car before I picked it up. 1 of my door panels was still in the trunk & I was asked to bring the car back for them to install the part AFTER THEY HAD IT 2 MONTHS! They didnt even clean out the trash from the repairs they did do...there was tape & wires all on the floor boards. There was even a wrench left under my hood that I later found when MY CAR STARTED MAKING A GRINDING NOISE 48 hours after I picked it up. I took my car to a trusted mechanic today & he told me that noise is the A/C compressor went out. Thats funny cuz that was on my reciept of things I paid Big D to repair. ALSO I now need a NEW TRANSMISSION!!! I had no transmission problems whatsoever prior to bringing my car to Big D, In fact I had the transmission rebuilt less than 2 years ago!!! Today I paid $1000 down to have that repaired & $215 for an A/C compressor that was supposedly included in the $2600 I paid Big D...smh WORST $$$ IV EVER SPENT!! Will never give them another dollar...DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!

Worst experience at an automotive shop Ive ever had! Drove in here because it was the closest shop when my car started having trouble. I was told what the problem was and was quoted an amount. I then took it to the shop I normally go to and was quoted an even higher amount, so I thought I was getting a good deal at Big D. I took it back and was charged $200, didnt make it 5 miles down the road before the same problems started happening again. I brought it back and they wanted to charge me $350 more to fix. This was after I realized that my wedding band (which I accidentally left in the glove box) was missing. When I questioned them about it, I was told that there was only one guy working on my car and they would check the video cameras and let me know if they saw anything. They never called, so I called the next evening and was told they didnt see anything, but that my car was left behind the shop UNLOCKED after they had finished working on it. Then, Moe started to get upset with me because I didnt want to have my car fixed there and was very unprofessional and rude. I normally dont post bad reviews, but I dont want the same thing that happened to me to happen to someone else. I will never go back to this shop and I would never recommend them to anyone else.

First mechanic Ive tried in DFW and VERY pleased with this shop! Was looking for a place to take my older vehicle, and they were upfront and honest on the phone, offered a free emailed estimate, and would do a free diagnostic when I showed up just to ensure the thing I thought was broken actually was. Their prices were more than fair, especially considering the quality and speed of service and the shops overall friendliness. There were no hidden fees and no surprises. Ill definitely be taking my vehicle back there for whatever comes up wrong on it.

I went here to because my AC wasn’t blowing cold air about a month ago . It cost me $300 to get it fixed. Then he comes out and tells me that it’s fixed but now I need another part to change the settings(meaning my heater isn’t working now) which would cost me another $300. So now I have a working AC but in a few months I won’t have a heater, which was not a problem before I went into the shop.

Really helpful, explained everything when getting a pre inspection and even recommended where to find a solid car and gave me half off discount. Awesome shop.

This place is the best place to go if you have any problem with your car. They always take good care of me, very nice people. Two weeks ago my car gave up on me on the highway and they came and took care of me. I paid next to nothing and they finished with my car the same day. The only problem is that there is only one location ( walnut hill lane).

The worst shop I have ever been in modern history. Very un professional and insulting. The first time I left my vehicle there for service they said they had fixed it only to find out that they had done nothing after billing me and I paid them. The next time I left my vehicle there it was broken into and they had no idea where the key was I had to make new keys. They did not cover that cost or even the cost of the TVs and radio that was stolen. Seemed like an inside job. Very unprofessionally

(THIS PLACE ALSO GOES BY BIG D AUTOMOTIVE) This place is a disgrace to all mechanics and mechanic shops. I own a limo company and took my limo in for a last minute problem with the A/C system. This was right before a very busy weekend and I didnt have time to go to my regular limo mechanic. All I needed was to replace the compressor that stopped working. I left the limo there overnight for them to repair it. The next morning when I checked the GPS tracker on the limo to make sure it had been worked on and I had found out that the manager and his whole crew had taken the limo out for a joyride the night before. They had driven the limo for over 6 hours and 200 miles all throughout the night going at speeds well over 90 mph! When I asked the manager what the deal was he said I just drove it around to test the A/C. These people are pathetic. Who knows how many customers cars they drive around without permission. On top of all that the A/C job they did was horrific. I was told they are putting a genuine Ford part instead I found out it was a cheaper aftermarket one that broke after a week. My limo mechanic had to fix the repair job they did. Stay away from this place!

Came in to check a rubbing noise. Next thing I know I got breaks all four struts all four brakes water pump fixed. An they fixed it all in less then 3hrs. An they will work out the prices.

Service was friendly, but it took a bit longer than I expected. Also, I took my fiances full-size pick up there so the $19.99 oil change special did NOT apply, it actually cost around $91, but he said thats about normal since it takes more than 8 qts of full synthetic to give him the 5k miles between changes. If hes good with the price, then I guess its ok. (I went there because he had a sticker on his windshield from getting previous Service there and he never told me AVOID THIS PLACE so, I went for it. They are small, but local and seem pretty helpful with other car needs. Its not an all-out personal service type of place, but the seats are comfortable enough, theres tv, magazines, coffee, and a restroom. It covers all the basics for being a quick-stop auto shop. No fancy frills or thrills, and Im okay with that.

I read the review i figured may be was a good place to take my vehicle yo have yhem chek the breaks. The man at yhe front didnt seam to to be interested on the issue i was having with my car, i saw him answering his cellphone to a call that said Mom and went on to have a long conversation in another language. Another bald headed guy walked in the man at the counter asked him to chek my brakes. Bald guy acted like he had better things to do. Finally took my keys and started to walk to the car to test dive it. Got a really bad attitude when i said that i wanted to ride with him to explain what was going on.....He didnt allow me to....??? Why?? He said he didnt like it... :/Does this guy kw who the car belongs to? And forgets who is paying for the repairs?The entire experience was very unpleasantI had to ask him just to give my keys back, i went somewhere else.I dont kw how much this people care about new business. But not alot if you ask me.
