I cannot say enough good things about Hendrick’s Auto Service. I was traveling from Chicago and I had an oil leak on my diesel van. Even though they typically do not work on diesel engines, Dale had me come in so that his technician could take a look and see if they could get me back on the road again. He treated me the way I’m sure he’d hope his daughter or wife would be treated if they were in trouble far from home. This family business really cares about people, and it shows in their outstanding customer service. They gave me the comfort that I’d make it home safely and I did! Hendricks Auto Service has serviced both my personal and business vehicles for years. I have always found them to be fair, honest, always professional and extremely reasonable in their pricing. The fact they are family owned is an absolute bonus in this corporate world.

First time there in person. Several conversations on the phone beforehand. With both ..everything--- on phone or in person---friendly, interested in my auto problem and no rush to get the needed information and get me off the phone. A relaxed atmosphere. It was a great business dealing. I have a Mazda 2.5 S so I was definitely worried about my repair but left feeling confident they would change my fuel pump without a problem.

They are a family owned business. Everyone works hard and does a great job.. highly recommended

These guys are amazing what they do. They fix my truck before and did a really good job. Thats why I brought it back to them again. only vehicle I got had to drop it off was going to walk home and before I could ask the guy behind the counter offered me a ride home. Try to give him gas money when I got home he wouldnt take it. These are good people and an honest place to get your vehicle worked on.

I had my transmission, power steering and rear end in my Ford overhauled . I have had it back 3 times afterwards due to major leaking on my floor from the transmission and power steering. I noticed last week it is still dumping power steering fluid on my floor after I parked it for the winter. I will not be bringing it to them again.

These guys are the best! I love being able to support a local, family-owned business. They take great care of us & always treat us right. I find myself always referring people to them.

Dropped car off for engine leak. Told head gaskets needed replaced for $1600.00 . I agreed. Got the car back a week later. After sitting in my garage overnight there was a lot of oil on the floor. I called and told them the problem and they had me leave it again. I got the car back a couple weeks later assured it was fixed. Called them again and they said they could not find any leaks. Four months later I took it to Kia of Dayton. They charge me $1200.00 for the same work. It actually didnt leak after they redid Hendricks work.

Honest people the wait was longer than expected but they were so straight forward honest and fair priced, well you just cant beat that. So the wait was worth it. it was just a little over a week before they could fix our issue annnnd it was with an 88 Camaro which is kinda hard to work on on school cars. And kinda hard to fund techs who will work on them at fair prices!

The guys at Hendricks Auto Service repaired three difficult intermittent problems on my truck that other shops could not fix. They did not give up or turn away these hard problems. I highly recommend this shop because they are very honest and perform great work.

What a joke! They rob you blind and return your vehicle not running correctly. $4500.00 for a motor and work on the car and it wont SHIFT! Sad thing, they wont give me my money back and the owner stated he liked his money! NOT RECOMMENDED AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! LARRY, CRAIG, JAKE AND DALE ARE A JOKE! WHAT A RIP OFF! THANKS FOR THE GREAT SERVICE! A longtime business producing this kind of work should be investigated!

Rebuilt my transmission in a very timely manner will go back for more car repairs

They are crooks here. Charged me $600 to replace a part my car didnt even need. Then when that didnt fix my car they said it was the radio so they took out the fuse so the radio wouldnt cause me issues. Turns out the fuse they handed me doesnt even go to my car!! My fuse is still in my car and another mechanic told me they shorted my radio and tried to cover it. They are nothing but thieves who got me for over $800.

Called Thursday and made appointment for Mon and explained issue and check engine code. Dropped car off Sun night w note attached to keys about the problem and it was supposed to be put on diagnostic to determine issue. I didnt hear anything so I called about 1 pm but they hadnt touched it yet...will get back w me. Dont hear anything so i call back a little before 5...still havent looked at it! (They close at 530) Talk w someone and they can get to it tomorrow. Whats the point of scheduling appt several days in advance if youre not going to even look at it. I wasted 2 hrs dropping off and picking up for nothing. Been in business a long time, hopefully w better customer service than this. Wont be back.

I came here with high hopes based on their previous reviews. I was disappointed in the service I received. When I dropped off my vehicle I was told by one of the older gentlemen that they would call me before they did any repairs. To my surprise, the next day I received a call that my vehicle was fixed. Their price was within my budget, but if it wasnt then what would they do? Furthermore, their demeanor just rubbed me the wrong way and they were kind of rude in a joking manner, if that makes any sense. Either way, its not the way I would treat a customer and will take my business elsewhere regardless of the quality of work done.

Was told they would inspect vehicle free of charge because it was making a whining sound. Didnt know if it was power stearing, or transmission. Pick car back up and boom they charged me anyways.... What a joke!

Service was okay, I dropped my car off at 8am and it wasnt done until next day around 3pm. I was told itd be ready in 2 and half hours glad I didnt have anywhere important to be. I will definitely will not be returning. It doesnt take 24 hours to change a water pump.

Weve been going to Hendricks now for 4 years. And I have never been more satisfied with with an auto shop in my life. Ive lived in 8 states and travel alot, Ive been to countless auto shops across the country. Yet this family owned business is by far the most honest, fair priced and dependable place I have ever brought a vehicle. I now refuse to go anywhere else. Great family, great service, and a pretty good sense of humor to top it off. We consider them part of OUR family now, wether they like it or not :p. Hats off to Hendricks auto service for doing things right for 50+ years. Im 100% satisfied every time I leave the shop. And congratulations to Mr. Hendricks for his recent man of the year award. You deserve it good sir. Just make sure you share the lime light with the rest of your family. I think you all deserve credit for a job well done.

The absolute worst ever I would never go back ever absolutely terrible

They do good work, but my god, theyre expensive. I was new to town, they were close. They did get me in, took them a week to figure out problem and get it fixed. A little over priced.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My mom dropped her car off at 8 a.m and her car wasnt ready until 5 p.m. the next day. They only had to fix her power steering pump. My mom called several times trying to find out if she can get her car soon to go to work and when she picked it up she told the owner her mom dropped her off and the owner says, Did you tell her you were bitching the whole time? He also raised his voice with her over the phone a few times.

I’m embarrassed to say that I have actually recommended this shop to a number of people over the last couple years. Sadly my last two experiences there have been terrible. Each time my vehicle left the shop with the new issue that they refused to take any responsibility for. I will not be going back.

These guys are the BEST! They took care of my car when my dad was in the hospital and nursing home, they kept everything checked for me . I was having to run mom to the doctor, my son to the doctor, and go see my dad plus everything else . Theres no better people than the Hendricks and no better mechanics .
