It took me a while to write a review because I prefer to avoid writing bad reviews. For the way moving was executed, I paid too much money. Pros: fast! Cons: Broke a lot of stuff, including a $700+ statue that was outside my old house. Which is fine, the damage report is filed, but the statue belong to my landlord and it could be moved from the way easily. I still dont understand why they didnt do that as it is an obvious thing. The wall in my old place is damaged, too. Two of my heirlooms that were in a box and (!) in thick bubble wrap were crashed. Did they throw the boxes? I did tell them there was nothing too fragile, but I didnt expect it meant you could throw boxes. The items belonged to my grandmother who lives on another continent, and there isnt a price tag on them. Im happy that I took care of the most priced possessions myself or I couldnt imagine the devastation. I’ve also realized this morning they completely ruined my coffee table. See attached pictures. There was a footprint on my mattress, too, which is a sign they didnt really care. When I asked what was that, they said it wasnt them. A ghost in shoes then did that? They first offered a mattress protector, and they said I dont really need it. I shouldnt have been that naive to say ok. The guys also for some reason didnt finish bringing all the items to the truck, and then told me they were done. I pointed out to the obvious, and they took care of it. Finally, but I could let this one slide: some of my furniture ended up in my new place half assembled and they didnt put it back together to the way they collected it. The furniture isnt of high quality, and is confusing to put back together, but considering, again, the amount of cash Ive dropped into this, the recklessness with which everything was handled is disappointing.

Great experience! Efficient and cost effective! The two gentlemen who facilitated my move were polite and very professional. It took less time than I expected and they did a great job. Not only would I recommend this service, I will be a repeat customer.

Two Men and A Truck were terrific, FAST friendly and totally together! I had all my stuff packed and ready to go and they moved my stuff swiftly coming in 2 hours BELOW the estimate!!! That saved me money and a good chunk of my day. Really appreciate Theo and his team of guys!

Initial correspondence with a quote and dates was prompt and very accommodating. I planned my move in advance and at the last minute they had a staffing issue which they managed to correct for me just in time to have everything go just as smoothly as it was scheduled to, which I am so grateful for!! Would definitely recommend to anyone! So nice to have such a professional, and easy, pleasant experience when moving, which is never all of those things! 😅

We had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck Detroit. My husband and I were moving from a storage unit to our house. The day before we were supposed to move we found out our storage unit lost power, so within an hour before the office closed we called to reschedule. The office agent was incredibly accommodating and compassionate to our situation, and moved us to a different date later in the week.We worked with Clark, Junior, Ramone and Ron. All four were professional, courteous, kind and efficient. Highly recommend these guys!!!!

Highly recommended. They arrived on time, made sure everything is protected and they delivered on time as well. The moving team was pleasant and professional. Dealing with the main office was a breeze and they actually took the time to confirm all the details the day prior to moving. The only drawback is the high initial deposit (50%), but they are guranteed to get the job done.

As we all know, moving can be one of the most stressful situations. Working with two men and a truck was awesome. From the first phone call to schedule the appointment. Which was a great experience. The scheduler was very kind and caring. The day of the move, the team was on time. I have to say, I had three guys who were the most engaging, hilarious team. The biggest thing that stood out to me, the team worked well with each other. They seemed to really enjoy working together. Cracking jokes on each other which kept me entertained the entire job. Most of all.......professional. They cared about my items and kept me updated through the process of the morning. I’ll definitely used the company again. And highly recommend the service.

I used them to move to my new house. I already had everything boxed. They responded fast, were on time, and worked waaay faster than expected, so I had the rest of the day free to run errands. They even managed to remove a door with painted over hardware. Id definitely use them again.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to revise our move date up two weeks which required finding the right moving company within 5 days of our move date. Jackie, in the office, was fast to tell us she could make it happen on our date and was very quick to get us a quote.We agreed upon the price, which was better than the competition, and hit the jackpot with Melvin and Jesse who showed up on time and ready to work. They were professional and did not skip a beat getting every item out of our 2 story loft on the second floor of a multi unit building safely and quickly.When it came time to unload at the house, these guys made quick work of a full truckload and asked where + how to put each item. These guys love what they do and it shows. Made a usually unpleasant experience, moving, into a breeze. 10 out of 10 will use again!

This is the very best decision I made when deciding to move furniture to a storage site. Austin N. made everything so easy from the first call to the pre-move email. The 2 movers were so professional - making sure that they knew beforehand the items to be moved and confirming that all rooms were cleared. They were on time and met me at the storage facility in a timely manner. In coordination with the manager there, all the furniture was unloaded in a manner that it will be easily accessible when/if needed.

OK, so I am having a hard time here. On the one hand, Two Men and a Truck were able to book the loading/packing of our house very last min when we had a fraudulent company fall through. They were extremely friendly, very responsive, and very very reasonably priced. Also, the movers who arrived at our house worked tirelessly, and moved very heavy items with ease. They wore masks almost the whole time in my house - which was important to me and my wife.OK, so now for the negative. Moving day was very stressful, I watched the movers pack up the initial stuff, saw them doing a good job, and went about my business packing up certain items and running around - I was very busy. I saw them pack up the truck with the first load of boxes and furniture and it was all good. Well, I guess towards the end they ran out of packing materials or something. We are moving across the country and are using a transport/truck company that puts up a big wooden barrier to mark how much of the truck you use. So, at the end of the day, the movers put up that barrier before I could see inside the truck and see what they had done. But since I had seen the beginning of the pack job which seemed great, I assumed it was all good. The next day I removed that barrier and saw several things - a lot of which are very valuable to me and my wife... barely wrapped, and barely secured. It seems like the movers ran out of packing materials, and kind of just improvised, leaving a lot of boxes opened.. and a lot of items just loose. I bought several furniture blankets... and I guess they ran out of that, the packing wrap they used on a lot of the furniture. They didnt tell us this and just packed without it instead. I would have gladly gone to a store to get more stuff for them had they told me. So instead, my wife and I had to scramble, try to unpack a lot of the truck, prioritize our most valuable items.. and repack them securely, all before our flight departed that day - it was a very stressful few hours.So on the one hand, i really appreciate the front office, the companys flexibility, ability to work with me on short notice, and honestly for the most part the movers were great. But the last say 25% of our truck was very poorly packed. If this were a local move I think it would have been ok. But we are going a long way, I still dont know if our fix will secure out things enough. Crossing my fingers.

Floyd and his crew were fast, efficient, and courteous. They were able to move my personal property from my 11th floor apartment to a storage unit in 2.25 hours. I tipped them well (over 20% based on their total service rate charges on a weekend) especially since this is difficult and labor-intensive work. They wrapped my couch, chairs, dining room table, and dresser. I also asked them to wrap my headboard, coffee and side tables, paintings, and framed photos since theyre going to storage. Good tip from Floyd: do not saran-wrap TV since the pressure can cause damage. However, I wish they organized and stacked better when they put things in storage. I spent another hour of reorganizing after they left. My wardrobe boxes were damaged since they were not sturdy and other boxes were stacked on top of them. One of the crew said that they should have wrapped the wardrobe boxes to make them more sturdy but they didnt offer to do that. I was their last customer of the day, ending at 6 pm, and it was raining, so they were rather tired at that point. Also, if theyre going to use a mattress bag for my bed, they should have informed me that theres a charge in advance. Its not a lot of money ($7) but I dont like surprise charges in my receipt.

Both times they were professional, on-time, took great care of my things, and anything they packed was packed incredibly well, better than anything I did myself. This last time, Melvin and his team went above and beyond to take off my door, wrangle a large couch into a tiny house without messing anything up. Couldnt be happier!

This company canceled my move with a weeks notice in April, leaving me with no way to move to my new apartment. They cited the stay in place order as the reason, but I saw moving trucks on the road working that same month. I luckily found a local business that charged me half the price and got things done for me very smoothly. Ended up saving about $400 on my move despite 2 Men leaving me completely in the lurch.

Very easy transaction and very easy move. I had Jesse, Floyd, and Mike. Jesse went over the estimate and expenses with me very clearly before they started to work, the price was fair. They ended up doing the move in almost half the time, and I ended up under the estimate. They even removed the trash from my old place (thank you!). One of the best moving companies Ive dealt with, if not the best, and Ive moved like 5 times in the past 7 years. Highly recommend.

Personally I have never used Two Men and Truck for any moving needs.But we had to move out of our office in Southwest Detroit So I made the call and Im glade I did. From Shayna that came out to give me estimate to the 6 guys and two trucks that did the move. They were able to get us all moved in one day going to two different locations. So we where very please, they took the time to wrap all of our desks with moving pads and starch wrap.I would for sure recommend Two Men and Truck, and plan to use them for our next move in year or so.

The two young gentlemen moving crew were professional, polite and courteous: they were careful to not bump the furniture they were moving; they were careful to not bump into any of the walls on their way out of the house and in the other house into which they moved the furniture; they were on time, and they were about completing the move in a timely manner (they moved quickly and with a purpose as opposed to a slow pace); and, they were enthusiastic and energetic.

I recently hired two men and a truck to help me move into my new place. The movers arrived on time, very friendly, and took pride in ensuring my items were packed properly. The move started at 9:15am and all of my furniture was moved and set up in the new house by 11:00am. I would definitely use and recommend two men and a truck to anyone. I also want to thank the men that moved me again, you guys did an amazing job!

Great service! Although I initially scoffed at the price, $116 per hour + $140 travel fee. 😢 I must say that my movers Melvin and Demtrious were the perfect gentleman. They were well spoken, helpful and extremely efficient. The guys worked quickly and didnt mind that I needed to change my final location after arriving at the initial destination. Im a stickler for good service and they definitely made the price a bit more palatable. Thats the only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars. If the price were better I would have rated the company a 5 out of 5 stars.

Please do not use this company EVER!. The movers were extremely slow, little to no motivation in providing the best service and absolutely no integrity. They appear to be more focused on extending their work hours to collect their fee of 115 dollars per hour. WOW! With those rates the service should be exceptional. But If rates were based on quality service ..... this company deserves minimum wage! Please save your money, its simply not worth it. TRUST ME.

Pick another Mover! I hired this company to move me from my old house to my new condo, which is only a 15 minute ride away. I had already moved over my entire kitchen and lots of boxes on my own in an attempt to keep the cost down. Movers moved big furniture and 15 boxes, more or less. Move was estimated at 4-6 hours. They send 3 guys, but 75% of work was done mostly by 2 of them. They did not have the necessary tools and I had to run out and buy an Allen wrench (I bought 3). Did final walk through of house before heading to condo and indicated what remained to move. 2 boxes were left behind which I discovered after I went back to the house. Grill could not be moved because propane tank was attached and they said they are not allowed to remove it or move it if the propane tank is attached so thats another item I had to move over myself. My microwave plate was broken and I was not told about it. Heard a crash and when asked what happened, I was told nothing. After the move, I also found damage (scrapes) to 2 of my walls and a cracked corner on my entertainment center. My expensive wooden dining room table and chairs also have scratches on them! I was charged for an 8 hour move! No way it should have taken that long! I contacted the company and spoke with owner/supervisor. I was promised a credit on my credit card which I have yet to receive!

The two Gentlemen that handled my move were pleasant and had compassion. It was a joy. Handled my items as if it belonged to them. I will recommend Two Men and a Truck to Family and Friends.

Dont be fooled by their positive reviews they are all fake or posted by their own employees! This company destroyed my couches, destroyed my walls, and dented my TV. I Filed a claim and they never paid me. Make sure you get insurance on the entire move and your valuable possessions (no, not the insurance they offer its bogus). They are supposed to pad and wrap everything according to their contract but they will not. If they did, nothing of mine would have been damaged. Read the contract in its entirety or youll be left in their dusty trail like I was. Even after violating their own contract they will still not honor it so there may not even be a point to read it. Go with these guys and youll end up in small claims court like me. There were so many other things wrong with this company like the fact that the workers were taking breaks on the job while I was paying about $100/hr, and the fact that the owner avoided my calls for about 3 weeks. I am an actual customer and I am a very fair and reasonable person. I gave this company way too many chances to right their wrongs and make amends with me before leading to my filing in the City of Dearborn small claims court. I just wanted people to simply know that they are the wrong company for your move especially if you care about your things.Update (May 2016): It has been about 9 months since I left the review above. As you can see, there is still not a response from the owner. The reason I am leaving a follow up review is because my lease is nearly up and Im moving into a new home. Searching for a moving company again brought these guys up in my google search and just wanted to update anyone thinking about using this company.

Two Men and a Truck moved our entire house from Grosse Pointe Park to Midland, MI and they were AWESOME! From Shayna in the office that stared the quote process for me to Jessie and Cam who physically moved my entire home from point A to B everyone was just a pleasure to work with! Way to expensive. Doesnt depend on the size of the job. I did receive a response that was totally different than what I was quoted. It was about $400 to move four items. And moved less than 3 miles. I stand by my response.
