First time renting a cargo van. Best experience ever! Building was clean and fully supplied with anything and everything you would need to move. Young lady whom I dealt with was super efficient, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail and answered all questions and concerns I had. Cargo van was immaculate and ran beautifully. I give this place and her 10 stars!!!!! Best experience by far at this location

It was a smooth operation the pictures and everything at the end when you drop off after hours is a little bit much Im sure its a pictures you took in the beginning match all you should really have to do is take a picture of the outside of the vehicle where its parked when you leave I think thats a bit much when youve already been moving things in and out of a house and then you have to deal with that.At this specific location one lady has to do everything it doesnt seem very fair to me nobody else was working with her people were standing in line and she was trying to work the trucks to get people going and plus work the register she needs help she was really hustling

Lazy, slow, unprofessional people. The miserable lady must hate her job because not only does she talk slow but she closed the office early so she doesnt have to work. Extremely lazy and rude and will not give clear instructions, she will just tell you to read your email or text. She also had people hanging out with her just sitting there when I walked in so it wasnt like she was working anyways. I will be reporting her to corporate because the office hours say 8:00pm not 7:50 pm, especially when your scheduled pick up time is 7:45 pm.

Only had to stop at this location to drop off a truck, but we waited in the lobby for 25 minutes even after pressing the “help” button without seeing anyone to help us. Eventually we had to wander out in the parking lot to find one person that greeted us with “Oh you need help?” and just took the key and left. Not good customer service.The next day after we dropped of our vehicle here, we got a call asking, “What did we hit?”, attempting to get me to confess to damages, and the employee claimed that we had hit something with the front of the truck and said we were responsible for damages. Never happened. Our trip went off without a hitch and we never hit a single thing, not even a scrape. Employees at this location tried to incriminate us for damages that we had nothing to do with and did not believe us when we stated we did not cause them.

Everything and everyone was great! They were even able to help me w/a last minute rental.

This store is nothing but a bunch of crooks. I returned my uhaul truck with more gas than I was supposed to and they charged me 15 dollars to fill the truck. I have been doing business with uhaul for years, and for them to not even want to discuss it is absolutely appalling.

The woman that was so kinds name was ameena! She was the nicest person I have ever met!!! The general manager (Glenda I think) was the rudest person I have ever met, I would have rented from somewhere else if I didnt meet ameena! If you ever go here make sure you ask for her!!!

This place had multiple size truck options to pick. Staff was very helpful. Booking was done in very reasonable time and all the instructions were clearly provided by their executive. Returning the truck was very easy and smooth process as well. Signs were clearly marked in their parking adjacent to their office, suggesting where to pick and where to drop their truck. Overall my experience at this place was good and I would recommend this place.

Would leave a 0 star on smell alone. Imediately When you walk In the front door You are greeted with the smell of what I could only imagine the great depression mixed with raw sewage smells like and I could only pray that the horrible foul odor did not come from a living body. I dont wish that upon my worst enemy. Instantly grossed out. Not going back

On more than 1 occasion I have a issue with Tammy the GM, and I actually work for the company at a different store. Listen to the customer and handle things accordingly with taking payments. I bring the equipment back clean and unscathed. I come to this location because it’s convenient but if I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I reserved a 26 foot truck with another location and when o went to pick it up I was told they did not have a truck available to me. There were two 26’ trucks on site, I assume they were reserved by other people however if I was there and you had it reserved for me why would you not let me rent a truck. Very frustrating. I will not rent any equipment from uhaul ever again. The lady who helped me at the Fort street location was very helpful though and was able to rent me a truck however only for 4 hours which I was not able to get everything moved so I will be renting a trailer from another company to get the rest of my items moved.

Be safe and do not rent here!!!!! Renting out malfunctioning vehicles and dishonest. Do not recommend!!!

Staff is blind can’t even read a date on a propane tank waited outside for nearly 10 minutes to have 2 of my 6 tanks filled . I was told they can only fill 4 barbecue tanks not 6 by the propane manager. And then told only 2 of the 6 of my tanks were refillable . I made her fill those 2 tanks on principle to force her to do her job. Then went across to the Mobil gas station and they didn’t have problem exchanging the remaining 4 tanks out . So your clearly better off going somewhere else.

Brought the truck back with the gas exactly where it was when i got it and they slapped a $75 charge on my bill for fuel .. uhaul has now lost a customer ...penske for me from now on

At first I was kind of adamant in walking into this place because of all the horrible reviews customers have posted. My first impression wasnt a good one when I got there. The owner was kind of serious but not rude like people say. Shes just a serious person thats all, not every one in life has to be perky. The other thing that I read was that they were very pricy and that they would find ways to charge people extra from what they quote you. Well, my experience was not bad. I more less told her how many miles I was going to drive the truck, she charged me an estimated amount of $123 but when we turned the truck back in it was only $93. Overall I think they should be a little friendlier since it is a customer service place, maybe a little smile here and there would help. Just my opinion.

Van smells like cigarettes, dirty and has less than a full tank of gas.. The app claimed it had a full tank. Tried to report it in the app and wouldnt let me upload photos.

I use this location for storage for my business. Tammy the manager has always gone out of her way to help me. A1 service.

If I could give one star I would I rented a truck today the first truck I rented didn’t have the ramp I needed so I took it right back so the second truck I rented i got in looked around check the gas in the truck it was different from the gas on the rental agreement so immediately took a picture with the gas and mileage shown on the truck before I left and when I returned two hrs before I was suppose to so the guy goes to look at the truck and comes back and say I owe 23.00$ for not putting the correct gas back in the truck so I should him my pictures with the gas and miles showing and time on my phone he accused me of downloading an app and change the time and editing the picture because of the gas wasn’t the same on his sheet I told him I didn’t have time for all that and I’m not paying 23$ then he says I got over because I didn’t put 10 gallons of gas in the truck I ddint even drive over 20 miles to use 10 gallons then he accuse me of not sending a text to tell them about the gas but I told the lady before I left the store I never received any text from uhaul. I will be calling corporate to report him and this issue he was rude and didn’t apologize I do not recommend this location

Do not rent from here if you dont want to deal with cockroaches. I called the claims department and they wont take responsibility even if youre insured. Tammy from this location said we took care of that problem. Yeah well obviously not since Im dealing with it in my home right now. Not only that, but Im forced to give away some of my stuff since I have nowhere to store it as I dont believe in spreading the problem. I should be spending time and money on my new 4 week old baby, not buying roach killer and hurrying to move my stuff out. You cant even use their dumpster to throw out anything. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

The 2 girls in the afternoon were great. 2 guys in the morning for drop off were terrible. 5 cars and 2 rental truck returns were waiting for them to open at the gate. Employees pull up at 8:57am. They open for business at 9am. I ask him if I can pull in. He says no we open at 9. I said it IS 9. HE SAYS NO ITS NOT ITS 8:57! Then they both have attitudes with the customers. Terrible service!!

If I could have given them zero Stars I would this is the WORST U-Haul ever the staff is rude nobody knows what is going on when you ask to speak to a manager they claim there is no manager on staff and their assistant manager is pulling out of the parking lot and the guy on the phone youre talking to all of the sudden becomes the supervisor. Then they tell me that I do not have my reservation (that as Im on the phone with them they are texting me to confirm my reservation with this location). They are not willing to help you or fix anything and the man I spoke to claims that uhaul is an understaffed company and basically that there call center (who I had to call to make a reservation) has no idea what they are doing. I will NEVER use Uhaul again and if your thinking about using Uhaul stay FAR away from the Lincoln Park/Detroit Uhaul on Fort st I would use another company all together though, becasue obviously this company is a hot mess!

Tammy went ABOVE and Beyond. My delivery help for my U-Box was cancelled by the other company and she went out of her way to make sure that I had everything in time for my move. Thank you Tammy, you are amazing.

Do not waste your money!!!! Made an apt to have a hitch put on.... walked in no one said a word to me !! I had to say hello!!! Then they tell me “ not sure why uhaul made the appointment today we have no one here to do your install.... then guy finally looks it up and says ok we can do it.... long story short installed the wrong plug.... brought it in a second time to have them fix it..... came home plugged in camper guess what didn’t work!!! 3rd time made appointment again to have them fix it.... walked in to have them tell me”again” sorry no electricians not sure why they confirmed your appointment today... this time I lost my cool so now a non electrician is trying to fix it ... so after 300 dollar??? Ya I’m going to say do not waste time and money here!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and a side note everyone’s attitude here sucks... they hate their jobs!!!!!!

Horrible customer service. Went in there in the morning time to get a truck. Didn’t have any so made a reservation just to be told that my license wasn’t accepted because it was the paper one and not the card one. If she seen I had the paper one in the morning then why not tell me then instead of waiting until I came back.

That manager there has terrible customer service, Nasty attitude, very rude, and a liar! She lied told my friend that he couldn’t rent a truck, gave him this lame excuse. So he went to a different location to rent a uhaul truck and was able to rent it with no problems!! I’ve called the corporate office to complain because that attitude is unexceptable when your working with people.

Worst uhaul place ever. Took my Durango in for a trailer hitch. Appointment Time was at 12pm they told me it will be ready for pick up at 330pm. And here me and my kids are outside sweating because they have no waiting room and its almost 5pm. You shouldnt quote a time if you no your not capable of doing your job in a fast manor.

If i could rate it a zero i would they always mess things up i made a reservation a week a head of time and now they wont anser the phone. we where supposed to be moving this place is terrible do not go here we had pepole waiting to help me move uhal reserved it for thursday instead of saturday they had no trucks no vans no nothing.

When i returned the vehicle they charged me $10 more because i was over miles? I drove 42 and 50 was included? When i told the guy working and said Oh it was an error of communication only 30 was included! Was not willing to help or anything. Rude!

Im a frequenter here use the trucks 2 and 3 times a month no specials r given except for if they r running a sale. I dont have a problem with that because they come in early when i need them. Last minute activities, they have the truck or go get the truck for me. The employees have never given me attitude never been rude. They r like anybody else somedays r better than others. I do refer them to friends family and associates.
