I reserved a cargo van, but was given a 10-foot truck instead at the same rate. I just wish they had told me at the counter instead of me discovering the chain when I went to retrieve the vehicle. Then, I discovered that the air conditioning didnt work in the truck they gave me. I got about a block away, then went back to swap trucks, which they did quickly and without hesitation. My rental was during mid-August heat, so I appreciate the accommodation. The customer service was fast, efficient, and professional. It was a definite Improvement for this location.

Great location was easy access both off of Van Dyke and 7 Mile as well as a great line of well maintained trucks and very helpful personnel rented a 15-ft box truck from here the other day it ran great did what its supposed to hold what its supposed to went to my storage unit all the way to East Big Beaver road Troy and back with no problems and its great on gas I highly recommend their trucks theyre all Ford E-Series and f-series they do have some Vans but I highly recommend their Ford 15-ft box trucks theyre tanks

: Customer service was nonexistent, downright rude and aggressive. Cost me an additional $50 in miles by putting that I was driving 200 miles, while I was still attempting to calculate my travel distance. (I only drove 150 miles.) She did everything in her power to come across as belligerent, abrasive, and a downright unpleasant person. If anyone from Corporate sees this survey, I pray you call up here on a whim to get the full unruly, unprofessional and borderline personally offensive experience that I was subjected to. I do not want that young lady to lose her job, but my God someone needs to have a talk with her. She was everything that a customer service representative should not be.Im not expecting five star quality, Im not even expecting one star quality. Im just expecting a human being that understands how to communicate with another human. She was not that, instead treating me as if I was an enemy. Please someone, have a talk with that lady.I know her name, but Id rather not stain her identity on the web. However, if youve been to this location, or called this location. Youll know exactly who Im talking about. Please stay away from this location

I was told to put the fuel back where it belong and I did I even took pictures of it and they charged me more than $200 when it should’ve been only $39.95 when I returned the truck the guy told me everything looks good and I’m good to go no extra charges then I see all these charges on my account more than $200. I called the store so many times they don’t pick up, then a lady just hung up on me twice. I went in the store and they didn’t want to even help me and told me to call customer service, I call customer service and they tell me to go to the store. I’m never going back there again.

1st: The reserved truck was not there. They gave me a 17ft instead of 20ft, without telling me. I only knew because I went back inside to verify. They said the 20ft truck was reported stolen, and they dont know why people keep assigning it.2nd: The truck I got was barely roadworthy. The brakes were almost nonexistent. A reverse light was out. It barely made it up the hill. Thought for sure I was going to roll down the hill backwards like in a movie.BUT: The staff was helpful and kind.

They never answer their phones....EVER!! I don’t even know why they have them. They don’t even answer the after hours line. Oh, and if you’re new to they whole storage process, be sure to ask how to properly use your card to access your storage unit because, they will not offer this information. And make sure you put some good shoes on because you’ll be standing for a while during your visit!

They had a truck with miles that didn’t match what was in their system. I showed proof of the mileage that I put on it And they at first wasn’t trying to give me my money back because of their mistake when I returned the truck they said it was my fault that I didn’t check the mileage Before I drove off the lot, and the mileage didn’t match. They guy that was working there went in the truck first before we Drove off the lot checked the mileage and the gas which I assumed was all correct since he didn’t say anything and he gave me a print out with the mileage on it. Come to find out the truck that they gave us was reported stolen and it wasn’t suppose to be out on the street.. This experience taught me to double check everything and not go by their word I will never go to this location again. I will not recommend this location, very ghetto I would’ve put 0 starts but it wouldn’t let me

My experience with this location has always been great. The vehicles are always in tip-top shape. They have excellent customer service. The process is always smooth. I love them. I will strongly recommend this location. I have been a customer for years and never had a bad experience.

No issue with 7 and Van Dyke who came to the rescue the whole team there receives high marks, my issue is with the original location (Car Now LLC of Madison Heights) which did not have my 10 truck available, and who didnt call or email that the truck wasnt going to be available. What kind of customer service is that!

I come to this location quite often..an today was the first day that I can say I truly appreciated the genuine customer service that was displayed by Ms. Davida. I feel that if you are in a customer service related business..customer service should be your top priority!!! This woman displayed such professionalism and demanded it from her other coworkers to customers..exactly how its supposed to be done..Thank you very much Ms. Davida and because of you I will continue to support 7 mile and Vandyke Uhaul...

My experience here was excellent. The sales person that helped me DaVita was very welcoming, knowledgeable and able to work under pressure. The systems were down and she still help every customer inside and out although Im sure it was frustrating having to do everything manually DaVita still kept a level head. Thank you Davita

Pre reserved 26 ft truck got 15 ft Truck was beat up inside was filthy this truck had been loaded with tires and car parts and was all greasy and nasty inside the front cab had never been cleaned out or sanitize due to Covid you guys should be very upset with the truck I was rented and I was not offered any type of discount or anything of that nature Are usually rent from a different U-Haul location and I will never go back to the U-Haul location ever again and this is the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had over the last 30 years using U-Haul

The staff is very helpful and pleasant.

There was only one employee at this location. I waited almost an hour to get assisted. When I was bringing the cargo van back, the unload area for the storage units were blocked by a tow truck, the driver of the tow truck purposely blocked us way longer than neccessary. There was briefly another employee at this location who refused to help us at all. There were plenty of dissatisfied customers, I would never recommend this location to anyone and cant wait to get my things out of storage so I wont have to return.

Very rude and unprofessional staff

I will never go to this Uhaul ever. This is the only place that will find a way to keep your deposit. I was allowed 25 miles, I went over 35 miles, I only made one trip. I end up owing them .40 cents. This was the second and last time I will do business. This is the reason it is hard to do business with your own. They over charge for everything. I will go across 8 mile and take my chances with them.

The service of this location was so bed .i had a reservation for u haul when I went there to pick up the truck the store manager was ignoring to give me the truck Even though I showed her my reservation . Then I had to call there costumer service for Get my truck and she was giving me really bed attitude.

Even though I was supposedly late for my reservation and it was cancelled, Ms. Sharon was Awesome and got me in another trick to move on a busy Halloween Saturday. Thank you very much. You made my day!

This location is very unprofessional, when I went in to rent a truck the man never asked how far I was going or if I was leaving out of state. He only assumed what he wanted due to him being unprofessional and doing his job by asking questions. Then we were told to have the truck back before 7 for check in or youll have to do self check in. We were back before 7 and was told that was incorrect information we couldnt check in until tomorrow. Came back the next day just to be told we owe almost another 100 dollars due to the salesman not doing his job correctly. I only rented a 10inch truck which was 19.95 and still paid 100 just for them to hold my deposit and make up some bs about owing another 100 this place Is a rip off. Thats what you could expect dealing with greedy black mfs in the hood. Dont do business with them.

Your store definately needs more space/storage PLEASE tell your manager /Owner he need new and updated Store front also. New bi-level storages need to be added to this site. Worst ever so I made an appointment for 9 a.mto get a hitch put on I get there at 9 and the person who does it gets there at 12 noon really! I didnt leave until 7:05 p.m. Never again.

The whole experience of DIY moving is a bad ideal. By the time I was finish moving I was so sore I could barely walk.I had to pay them about $100 for the truck (2 days), if I had been smart I would have hired somebody else, been done in half the time without all the aches and pains.

I have had good experiences with all other Uhaul locations...This uhaul location only- unprofessional, bad service, i was overcharged, phones always on rollover. I would not recommend this location...I strongly recommend you go to any other uhaul locations

I walked in to rent a truck, the clerk was very rude and unprofessional. Wouldn’t let me ask him Any questions because I don’t have reservations as another female clerk try to explain me the situation, he then interrupt her and tell her that she don’t need to say anything to me, the lady apologized for his behavior. Don’t go to this place..

The reps are entiring toooo slow with each customer. Either they hire somone or get a new computer system. I wasnt sure which one was the problem.

Everytime I come to this location the staff are friendly and attentive. I am quite surprised.

Besides the seedy neighborhood the customer service was good... The parking lot is oddly laid out which makes for awkward parking and getting out of parking lot if busy..

They will charge you twice watch out. Charged me $111 when all I owned $63 also no receipt of the reason they double charged...

Illiterate response when dealing with the reservations will cost you an extra $200 due to their liabilityIf you want a comfortable moving experience do not go to this location

Horrible experience. They do not communicate anything at all. You make a reservation they cancel it and won’t tell you. They were not helpful with finding another Uhaul.
